Do the characters have to become one physical entity for Fusion? I was wondering if Neku could eventually get Fusion and Symbiosis and synchronize with people for Cross Combos without having to buy a new super move for EVERY partner.

I think this could be a think, but you'd have to explain to me what a 'cross combo' means.

If you've watched Soul Eater, think Soul Resonance but without one person having to be transformed into a Weapon. They use each other's energy to increase their own energy. Neku uses a Harmonizer pin to facilitate the process, so it runs on his Imagination but both people's energy. Basically, both people give it energy, but Neku gives it a pattern. Since he uses music to focus his psychs, the resonance comes from rhythm; the two people have to alternate attacks with a steady beat, with no room for truly independent action. They have to work together on an instinctual level, basically.

Um... is anyone going to get mad at me if I bump this? It's not like I'm going to need it right this minute, but all the same, I'd like to have the answer for when I do reach level 2.
If you have Fusion and Symbiosis, you could create "Cross Combo" Super Moves that wouldn't require a full-on Fusion. The following would be the stipulations. You'd need a willing partner and you'd need a different Super Move for each "Cross Combo." While you wouldn't need one for every potential partner, you'd need one for every differing "Cross Combo."
