What with the battle rules focusing on organised fights and it saying that it focuses on duels between Primes, I gotta ask, is teaming up even allowed? Will there gank squads roaming the island?

Yea, it's possible. People can certainly partner up or group together for the sake of interaction with one another. They could even attempt to force a solitary prime to battle with them.

However, unlike DA15, primes here can be like "nope, I'm running," and honestly, if 4 people are trying to jump 1 person, I'm probably going to give the escape edge to the one person under most situations. That'd be the 'unofficial' way that I'm likely to deal with any people who feel compelled to try and mob other people, because that's just not what this event is designed for.

As for the squads themselves, any group runs a risk of having to duel one another, since they would all have to return to a bunker at the end of the cycle. That'd be the 'official' way that groups are impeded.

Can Primes sign up with pseudonyms? Akira would definitely sign up as Joker, if at all possible.

Can I get a small synopsis in the ways this DA is different from the DAs I experienced on Chubbs and stuff?

Since I've been here there have been two DA's. The first DA had a huge number of participants, the theme was very similar to hunger games, obviously with many more unique twists. Contestants were against each other and fought to be the victor, there were artifacts for prizes and items that could be used for tools (healing, strategic based, or bombs) others were just props for RP. You'd write within the time frame you were given and then when two characters that were not allies stepped on the same part of the map a PVP instantly happened and characters battled each other. Karl (the host/ Alex) wrote those up based on your character's style, and skill set. Damage could be dealt to both sides and there was a loser of the fight and up until the end did people's damage points start going down enough to die (Though people did die all the time).

-> There was one victor and one survivor. The other people took "second place, third place" an the prizes and arties were like that as well.

Year two was more freedom based, imo, the "to-be participants" crash landed on an island and some CRAZY stuff went down. You got to choose too! There was a lot of plot, and it was more of "the best writer will win" themed and not so PVP themed. You could still get damaged, but it was mostly player fodder. It was your character verses the island instead of the other characters. You'd follow the clues Karl gave you and the choices you'd make IC (very much like DnD) and your character would be lead to either their demise, or to another clue. Secondaries were allowed in this one but they also had the consequence of "final death."

Multiple people survived last year's da however there was still only one victor. You were allowed to continue writing even if you were eliminated but had not died. Karl and them rode off into the sunset. Prizes were mostly om that year, and it was less competitive against characters and teaming up had some really good plot benefits.

Hey I am not playing DA until next year, but I would like to bring this up. Last year Guu used a Mercy Circle on herself to exit the show, and I was wondering if that would still be allowed this year, or are you making sure that will not happen this year.

Sure, Mickey Mouse signed up as 'Ears'. As long as what you want to do makes sense... don't try and sign up as 'Optimus Prime' or something dumb like that.

I don't know what Chubbs is. If you don't know how the event will work, I'd read over the Rules and then ask any questions you may have

There's no official form. It'd just be stuff like name, background, stuff like that. Fluff stuff along with the forms they make you sign.

Nope. A fresh prime would have to wander to a verse to find a station.
