Patch Notes
The 36 hours default time limit for posting in fights has been changed to 48. I put new default rules in for group fights:

"The time limit for group fights should be based on the number of participants, and usually a judge will work out a time limit that works for everyone. By default, or if an agreement cannot be made, we add 12 hours to the default time limit (72 hours) for each participant past 3."

With the consumables price reduction, I'm removing the secondary capability of the Warp Whistle to take you out of the Underverse if you've already escaped (600 OM seems like a really cheap circumvention of the Underverse quests) and adding an alternate route to escape that's less gamey and more thematic.

An Offer You Can't Refuse
Requirements: Must have escaped the Underverse at least once.
Difficulty: Easy (2500-5000 words + 1000 OM)
Reward: Escape from the Underverse

Word of your insane badassery and recklessness has gotten around. I mean, who comes to the Underverse twice? You've impressed someone with some power: one of the 'lesser' lords of hell, Azmodan. As a secondary, Azmodan is always looking for ways to make Omnilium, and with his connections, he might just be able to secure you passage out of the Underverse ... at a price.

Quest Stipulations – Get in touch with Azmodan at his opulent Palace of Sin (think Jabba's Palace but with more BDSM, harder drugs and actual demons). He'll offer to send you back to the Void, at a price.

New FAQ, in response to a loophole found in quick questions.

Quote:Q40: If I'm switching characters, can I use my OM to help someone else buy stuff before I switch?
A: No. If you know that you're going to switch, and you use OM to purchase something for other characters, that's basically OM 'laundering' and I'd hope nobody would do anything like that, being very much against the spirit of the RPG. However, since I know some people will try it anyway: if you make purchases for another player within 3 months of switching characters, we'll either take away the purchase (if possible, and not already consumed) or simply transfer the Consumed OM to the player who received the purchase. Regardless of this ruling, it is still absolutely considered a "scumbag move" if you do this just outside of the 3 months, and if we can prove you did this knowing you were going to switch, bans may happen.

Rolled FAQ 39 regarding consumables outside-of-battle into the actual Items page, and added an extra line stating that outside of battles, a 'post' can be considered 5 minutes, and a 'round' to be 10 minutes, and a battle half an hour.

Nufaq:

Q40: My character's stats are 5/5/0/0 and I want to continue to upgrade my stats evenly between ATK/DEF, is there a way I can do this?

A: The only way you could do this without breaking the rules of having no more than half of your stats distributed into a single point would be to purchase two stat upgrades simultaneously.

In the name of transparency. We decided on Recognition requirements a while back but didn't make them public, but I think it's better to.

"You must have written 50,000 words in a single verse to qualify for Recognition."

Update to bounty rules:

If someone has more than one bounty, you may claim them all for one kill/capture/banishment, but you will only get the 250 banishment bonus once. Banishment should be an IC choice and we don't want to reward people for it.

Q41: Can I use a single banishment circle to banish a fused character? How about a warp whistle to teleport myself and my fused friends together?
A: No to both. You gotta buy multiple. If you've defeated a fused character, then you could forcibly defuse them to banish one 'part', if you like.

Added a bit to stats to spell out the implied:

"For ATK, DEF and SPD, 0 in a stat represents 'elderly or infirm', 1 represents 'average human', 2 represents 'trained human', 3 represents 'theoretical limit of human ability' and 4 and upward represents ability that is beyond human levels, requiring either superhuman powers or the use of technology. Added rough actual Speeds to the SPD ballparks because it was requested. This entailed editing the description for 5 slightly to bring it out of its "slightly-out-jank" placement.

SPEED:
0: Basic. As fast as a fat teenager. (~5mph)
1: Average runner. (~10mph)
2: Very fast runner. Required for parkour-like feats (e.g. running along walls for a short distance) (~20mph)
3: Pushing the human limits of speed. Could beat Usain Bolt in a footrace, or Billy the Kid in a quick draw (assuming you have the TEC to land the shot!). (~30mph)
4: Inhumanly fast. (~40mph)
5: Runs almost as fast as any known animal (~50mph)
10: Angelic speed. Can run on the surface of water or along walls almost indefinitely. Very difficult to hit. (~100mph)
20: Almost impossible to hit while moving. (~200mph)

Oh, and I've updated the SPD description itself:

"How fast your character can move and react. This obviously increases your running speed (and flying speed, for those with Flight), but also movements like punching, dodging, or shooting a semi-automatic like a pistol. It doesn't decrease stated charge times in your moves. Try using Burst Movement or Super Speed to double your limits! "

Please note, new rule going on logs.

"Please also include the total OM spent in-category if applicable. For example, "Total Powers Spent: 5700/800" or "New Consumed OM: 500"."

Update to Regen/Healing SP use:

"This requires you to be in direct contact with the target unless you use a Super Move, and may only heal one target at a time."

This was always the rule, but apparently it got lost somewhere during the writing of the new SP section.

Also, someone remind me to buff the ratios a little once DA is over. 2 damage for 1 SP is probably a good baseline. And remove the silly vague 1-2 shit.

Just some minor shuffling in the staff team: Malon/Ama -> Sprite and Spur -> Cherub.

Trixie has also been brought on-board as a Sprite.
After frequent discussions about "what's the line" as far as fourth wall goes, I ended up writing an FAQ that should better delineate this for anyone asking those questions in the future. Hopefully this makes things clearer, and sorry that this has taken so long to do.

Q42: I saw that "blatantly breaking the fourth wall" is against the rules. That sucks, can I still make jokes?
A: It's one thing to reference real-life brands ie "Samus picked up a bottle of shaybelline shampoo" or to make jokes that only the audience would understand: ie, Cell meets a man with long black hair and a beard and says "looks like a nerd, I bet he runs an online RPG" but if your character, for example knows they're in an RPG, reads other players' posts, or knows information they shouldn't, that's totally over the line. Your character might believe they're in a game, or even say it, but in-universe the Omniverse is a real place and your character is crazy. Therefore they should have a reason for why they believe that, and in-universe, they are wrong regardless of what they believe.

In-universe, your character may come from a world where certain fictional entities exist: for example, Harry Dresden comes from a universe where Star Wars is fictional. All that necessarily means is that there is a universe where Star Wars is fictional and based on a movie. Importantly, your character should never use details of these fictional worlds to know real facts about other Primes, for example saying "oh hey, Palpatine was in a movie, he has lightning attacks!". Your character will have had this knowledge erased by Omni, for balance sake. Unless you purchase Insight, in which case you may roleplay in those specific cases as having that memory returned.

Iso verse update:

Isolation Verse – 300 OM
Contained within a glimmering sphere, when thrown at the ground near someone it creates a white, nexus-like verse containing only that person, and the user. It guarantees a duel, with no interruptions. It can only be broken when one of the duelists is defeated. It cannot be used by a fused fighter, unless it is against another fighter at the same level of fusion or higher. Outsiders simply see an impervious white sphere around twelve feet in diameter, which will expel the fighters in a flash when the duel ends.

Fight page updated with some small stuff, like

"Fights are divided into three rounds by default, though a judge may reduce this number especially if one or more players are already injured from a previous fight (it's recommended to reduce to 2 rounds if a player has 7 or more damage, and 1 round if a player has 14 or more damage - this doesn't mean the more damaged player will necessarily lose, but it reduces fight fatigue from multiple fights, and allows for more believable writing rather than a drawn-out brawl with someone already half-dead)."

I felt like this was a good "believability" and anti-fatigue rule for ongoing fights happening out in the world.

Oh and I added Forces usage rules to the fight page, in anticipation for the Forces update.

Forces are not 'live' and should not be purchased yet. We will announce when they go live.

Update on Forces: they won't be going live until after Dark Data is done, because I don't want to overlap two events and cause it to take even longer to finish (as happened with DA).

Amaterasu has stepped down from staff, we wish her all the best.

Regen is being buffed for SP use. Instead of the previous ratios, 1 SP now heals 3 points of damage. This does not affect non-SP use of healing and regen, which is still based on DEF. I've taken the time to better outline what regeneration can be used for and how this affects ongoing fights in the new descriptions. Please take a look if you get the time.

Healing multiple targets no longer buffs the ratios by 1.5x. We've aimed for a single SP to damage ratio that most should consider fair and in-line with other uses of SP.

Due to being, frankly, more powerful than before, we've increased the costs.

Basic Regeneration (previously 1300) is now 1800.
Advanced Regeneration (previously 1800) is now 2200.
Healing (previously 2500) is now 3000.

Those with the powers may choose to take a free refund, or accept the new prices. Frankly I doubt anyone will refund, but the option is there. I'll be sending out a PM to those with the powers shortly. As always, if you don't currently have enough OM to cover the new price, you may simply not purchase anything until you do.

I went through and overhauled the OP (opening post) for the NPC One Stop Shop to incorporate the recent changes to NPC use and the introduction of 'NPC Points.'

I hope this helps people understand the process with a little more clarity.
