Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP)
Hi, my post is missing from joining and I honestly don't know what I should be doing right now. Am I waiting to get moderated? Do I have to do another post? I can't find it myself so that's an issue for me.
Also, I can't access to inbox for one of four reasons. My account is activated so it's not that. Could I get an update, please?

Hmm, that's odd. I assumed you had deleted it on your end when I didn't see it this morning. I don't know how that could have happened. Unfortunately that means you'll have to repost it in the Join Forum, because since it wasn't a temporary delete it can't be reverted. Hopefully you had a copy of it saved. =(

As for why you can't access your Inbox, you account actually isn't activated yet. You get activated after your Join Application is approved; you can tell when you're approved because the bit under your name will change from "Account not Activated" to "Fountain Fresh".

How do consumable powers work when used outside of battle? For example, if one buys a basic version of winged sandals, does that last for one round of posting, or the entire thread, if there is no competitive situation going on?
Like how a round is about 1/3rd of a fight, it should last about 1/3rd of a scene or thread.

Why are they consumed outside of PvP events? SP isn't.

SP IS consumed. It's just that unless you IMMEDIATELY run into a fight afterwards, you have time to regenerate it. This is why, while it'll last a significant time, out of combat Fusions still have a time limit.

Unless you have a certain artifact....
“I don’t wanna be a product of my environment. I want my environment to be a product of me.”

The last answer addresses that question.
Well, yes. They aren't consumed (unless you're using them excessively), but they'd still last for a certain time. Getting Winged Sandals and spending 50 posts using them will generally be frowned upon. Thus why I gave a general time limit in my initial answer.

Okay, I personally don't see the problem with this, but I thought I'd ask just make sure it's legit.

If I were to decide to switch characters, and just before I do, I went ahead upgraded a friend's base. Like just as a parting gift, blow my remaining om and get a nice new vault for them. Then the next day or so, I switch. Would doing this be okay?
Hmm... It's a little iffy, since, for all intents and purposes, they'd be getting a free upgrade. I suppose it'd be a huge hassle to actually enforce a ruling against it though.

If both characters contribute to the purchase of the base upgrade, then yes, this is okay. But, what you're suggesting is essentially the same thing as violating the "no transferring OM to other players for nothing in return" rule. I could be wrong, but I think you've discovered a pretty big loophole that needs to be patched up!

Yeah, that's a fairly major loophole that I'm going to patch right now. See Updates.

Btw, if anyone reading thinks they've found other loopholes, or finds any in the future, let me know and I'll give you FIFTY THOUSAND OMNI CREDITS*

Curious about me and the characters I play? See the 'Staff' page! See also the rosters for my characters Samus Aran or Enel if you'd like to see examples of well-formatted rosters. Hope you enjoy the Omniverse!
Could an item (such as a dataverse device, or communicator) be flavoured as multiple things? For example, a mobile dataverse device that can be either a phone or a laptop.
From the items page in the rules: "Just like powers, items can be adjusted to be represented by whatever you want. A communicator could be a mobile phone, or a magical orb."

So yep. You can have it as whatever you want. If that includes it shapeshifting and stuff and being used as multiple things, should be fine. Items can look like you want then to.
Can we stop using this topic as a "skip reading the rules" topic? Noticed it with a few particular people. As the OP states, you should try searching or reading the rules first. Questions like "What's the formula for switching characters" or the one Dane just asked are listed clearly and easily in the rules, and are clogging up this topic with questions that are easily "Questions that are answered in the rules" Megathread-worthy.

Also please, if someone asks a question that's clearly in the rules and very easy to find, just link to it.

No it's not. If you're not in a PvP event SP is grayed out and not used. There hasn't been a single instance of someone counting SP use outside of an event or a fight, inside a personal RP, where they've deducted SP for transforming or doing something.

SP is representative how much your character is capable of. We don't count SP and follow SP use in personal threads, and the time is looser (I mean, your character isn't going all-out fighting), but you still should respect and stick to your character's limitations, because this is a stat-based roleplaying site.

Cell is essentially right.

Who told you that? We haven't TRACKED SP outside of a PvP situation, but we have always put timelimits on things that use SP. Logically, this means you're using SP and it ran out when the time limit was hit. But regenerating SP is quick outside of PvP, so we haven't run into a situation where someone hit the timelimit and immediately was thrust into a fight.

Now it's just semantics.

SP use is not counted in personal RP threads. He is wrong.

However, the fact that a player needs to be aware of character limitations is a completely different argument. One that I agree with.
