After some discussion in the chat I learned that, unless the creator explicitly gives permission for their character to become a site NPC, characters are scrubbed from the Omniverse whenever a character switch is made. This apparently includes all their secondaries.

I thought that was too bad since it might diminish Story Opportunities! (an inherent bad), and thus came up with this idea.

I, Nezha, hereby give blanket permission for all of my current and future characters to become part of the Omniverse as Site NPCs if or when I should choose to switch to another character, unless I give specific instructions that a certain character is NOT to become a Site NPC.

So yeah, post in here with a message of similar nature and you won't have to remember to give permission for others to use your characters after you've switched away. It'll almost be as if you have a Donor Card in your wallet, only for your old and no longer used characters instead of your organs!

EDIT: You could of course use this thread to make other blanket permissions for your characters.

This also means that my characters OFC will have just such a blanket permission.

If I ever switch, I'm totally fine with my secondaries and other characters being used in the Omniverse.

This is an odd topic. It's not like we physically delete all of a person's NPCs from the Omniverse at the moment you switch. You can just ask the person who owns the NPCs if you can take them over.

Just remember that NPCs still count towards your allowances, unless they're made into a Site NPC, which is rare and generally reserved for members with tenure whose player characters are adopted into a larger site role.
