Dancing Leaf [Airbending] (300 OM)
  • Requirements: None
The Air Nomads did not enjoy violence, and as such many of the Airbending techniques are focused around freedom of motion. In the event of a conflict, however, Airbenders prefer to dodge incoming attacks, constantly evading a target until they wear themselves out. Experienced Airbenders learn a second layer to this defense known as the Dancing Leaf technique. This move involves using the body's evasive maneuvers to create channels of air that redirect attacks away from the Bender's body. When Aang preforms this technique, it looks no different than simply dodging, but to onlookers it would seem as if the attacker were nowhere close to striking true. Whereas his common evasive ability is based on Speed and Technique, the Dancing Leaf uses just a touch of strength with technique to actively direct a force along a desired path.
Pummeling Gale [Airbending] (300 OM)
  • Requirements: Ranged
Pummeling Gale is a technique Airbenders use when evasion just doesn't cut it. Due to their peaceful ways, this technique is meant to simply bat a target around to control the battlefield and create space. With circular motions of his body, Aang creates arcing winds which race outwards, then curve back to strike at their target. These powerful winds are invisible but quite tangible. The simple move can be unleashed in rapid succession with ease, but deals very little actual damage. Batting a threatening target around like a fly is far more damaging to their pride.

Pummeling Gale - Take out the invisible part of this move, people should be able to dodge it and they won't be able to if they can't see it coming. What is the size of this attack? How fast does it travel? Does it have a maximum range?

A bit nitpicky since it's already implied to be fast, but, how fast exactly is Pummeling Gale? As fast as Aang can move it gets unleashed? If it's that fast with no especial downsides, you might not be able to "bat a threatening target around like a fly", as such.
Curious about me and the characters I play? See the 'Staff' page! See also the rosters for my characters Samus Aran or Enel if you'd like to see examples of well-formatted rosters. Hope you enjoy the Omniverse!

These powerful winds are mostly transparent, but can be seen with a sharp eye. The simple move can be unleashed in rapid succession with ease, but deals very little actual damage. Batting a threatening target around like a fly is far more damaging to their pride.

The gales are highly condensed streams of swirling winds, with the head of the attack roughly one foot in diameter. On impact, this force spreads out across the surface to distribute force, trading off what would otherwise be a dangerously concentrated force.

The speed of the attack is roughly similar to an arrow being fired from a common shortbow with moderate draw weight. The rate at which Aang can unleash these attacks is roughly once per second, if he has at least five foot of space for full range of motion and is not carrying anything in his arms. The exception to this is a staff, or other pole-like weapon which he can use equally well to channel the flow of wind. If there is not enough space to move freely, the speed or power drops greatly. The same is true if his hands are occupied. If both restrictions are present, Aang is incapable of using Pummeling Gale effectively.

Is there anything else I need to do on my end? Just wanting to make sure it's not me holding things up again. XD
