This is a run-off election between the two 'finalists' in the competition to become your American Idol 2017 iteration of Dante's Abyss.
Please only vote using one of your accounts (=p). Multiple votes will be discounted, and I'll give you my scorned teacher glare through the internet.
Please re-read, because I have provided additional information for both that may help your decision.
Option B – ‘Battle Quest’
Overview – Contestants are dropped onto an island. Collars are placed on them to remove a handful of specific Powers (flight, OM summoning). The map is divided into five regions. Each region hides objects that must be collected and returned to the center region. These objects otherwise have no game role and are optional (they enhance your prime's reward but otherwise have no in-game alterting effect).
Every few (in-character) hours, characters must return to safe houses (bunkers). Once inside, two characters are ‘culled’ and forced to fight one another to escape. These fights will be written by the writers with strict, non-extendable time limits. Whoever loses is removed (either from death or ejection), and the quest continues until all the items are collected or only one individual remains. Killing is optional. Winning this requires mostly the skill to defeat your opponent, and unlike other DAs, there's no real need for treachery or hoodwinking, although that is certainly available to you.
Timeline – Between a month and six weeks. This can be accelerated or de-accelerated pretty easily (staged fights occurring less or more often)
Entering -- Must be as your account's prime. No secondaries, no NPC primes (since this element involves direct fights between members).
Winning -- One prime will win.
----
Option C – ‘Conquest’
Overview – Three rival armies are vying for control of an island. They each start off controlling a portion of the island. Each army is led by a PC and is made up of a number of PC primes (depending on the total number of PC entrants) and a few thousand secondaries that form the bulk of the army. The general may appoint one lieutenant who may make decisions in his absence. Other primes can be appointed to other roles, but only the Commander and the Lieutenant have official control over the army.
Each army will be able to specialize its soldiers (provide them with classes). Each prime will likewise be able to select a specialization that will boost their stats or provide them with extra Powers. Collars are a thing, but the only Powers impacted in this event (as of right now) include Flight and Super Speed. Halfway through the game (when one army is eliminated), some extra classes and soldiers will release to provide momentum in the waning time of the event.
There will be neutral locations on the map that can be captured or won through diplomacy. Each army will be able to construct buildings and weapons of war in their attempts to defeat the other armies. Much of this will be high-cost, high-reward.
Espionage, assassination, and treason are all possibilities. Armies will have morale that must be maintained to keep them effective. 'Morale' will also serve as a means to help with event pacing, as doing nothing will lower morale.
Participation - You may join as anyone. Your prime, an NPC prime, a secondary. Most of this is PvE, but there will be elements of PvP, so the rules used in last year's DA for secondaries/NPC primes will apply (may not be stronger than your account's prime + SP handicaps). I expect that this event will be a little longer than the other one, because it's more open-ended. This event will NOT have hard limits for posting, so you can not post for a few days and not get murdered.
Winning - One team may win.
