Sleep. Endless sleep. Or at least, that's what it felt like. The last thing Gherron remembered was traveling to the outer regions on his ship, on course to an unknown planet. That's when he unexpectedly blacked out. His dreams seemed normal at first, taking him to Tython. The waterfalls, the forests, the peace and quiet. Then panic mode kicked in. For a reason he couldn't describe, he felt a strong sinking feeling in his gut, then everything around him warped into nothingness. Almost ripping his lightsaber from his belt, he ignited the blade and swung it in an arc. "Gahhh!" Stumbling up, he glanced around in confusion. He was awake, but he wasn't on his ship.
Behind the Jedi appeared a rather large fountain, which would have been cool if not for everything else. And by everything, that meant literally nothing. In the distance, he could see massive doors and gates in every direction, though they seemed far away. Aside from the fountain and the doorways, everything else seemed void and dark. Clipping his lightsaber to his belt slowly, he stared around. "Where am I?"

After running fifteen minutes back in the direction of the fountain Fawklin notices a person about fifteen yards away standing between him and the fountain that holds his sword with in. Trying to be quiet not to startle the person in the strange looking robes Fawklin walked in a defensive like pose.

Gherron tried to concentrate, but found it near impossible. It was like he was somehow cut off from the force, and he felt empty. He still felt the living midichlorians inside him, but something had weakened them. He was still able to use his weapon, proof that his abilities hadn't completely abandoned him. Maybe he'd try to meditate on the subject later. Taking a deep breath, he scanned the area once more.
Upon looking around a second time, the Jedi spotted a rather large man approaching him, finely dressed but barefoot. He raised an eyebrow, interested in whatever story lay behind that fashion choice. On his side sat a sword, and a few other weapons. Keeping his senses alert, Gherron walked to meet the other. Perhaps the man was friendly. If he wasn't, however, the Jedi wouldn't mind going down in a fight. Still, this place interested him... "Hello friend", he called out. "Do you have any inclination as to what this place might be? Or how I got here for that matter?"

He stops abruptly as the robed man turned in his direction. Not wanting to startle the man Fawklin stood still and noticed no weapons at his waist but he had strangely decorated oblong steel rod of some sort hanging off his waistband. As the man approached Fawklin started to walk backwards keeping his eyes on the stoic figure, even with no weapon a man with scares like that isn't to be taken lightly.
"I think it's called Nexus, THE Nexus, or something like that...Stop, just stop." Getting a bit anxious by the mans approach put one hand out to signal 'stop' and the other on the tip of his dagger.

Gherron met the man's eyes at once and stopped, his steely grey gaze peering into that of the other's. Through his peripheral vision, he could see the hand on a small blade on his belt, and made a mental note not to make any move that seemed threatening. Keeping his hands at his sides, he studied the man. "The Nexus? You seem... as lost as I am. How did you get here?"
Trying to diffuse the situation has quickly as possible, he kept his hands in plain sight, away from his weapon. The other was dressed differently, but who knew how far the legend of the Jedi had spread. The hulk of a man might know what a lightsaber was, he might not have known. So Gherron continued to keep his hands visible. He was a diplomat, among many other things. "My name is Gherron Vael. Perhaps we could help each other. What's your name, traveler?" Perhaps some small talk would ease the both of them. If the other was also from another world, he could be as confused as Gherron was.

He didn't have the vision like dream? "Gherron Vael, those are some strange robes like none other than I've seen in Maglin. Are you one of those Monks of the Old Gods? What Country are you from?" He said dropping both hands to his sides noticing the truth of confusion in this monks voice. "Where are my manners, my name is Fawklin son of." He pauses to reflect on the words he was about to speak. "Son of.............. I'm Fawklin the Zjinn." He said straightening his posture and then bowing low.

A wry smile made it's way to the young man's face. "I don't know about these gods you speak of... but I guess you could say I'm a monk of some sort. I don't come from a country as much as I do a planet. I was born on Coruscant, though I have visited many worlds. Which are you from?" He studied the man some more, scratching his chin, where some stubble had grown. He'd forgotten to shave again. "You're certainly not Echani, though you have the posture and attitude of one, judging from your weapons. Not Arkanian..." He went through a mental list, no species coming up to accururately place the man. Maybe a planet yet undiscovered by the Republic? "Hmm. Either way, nice to meet you sir. I'm glad you're not trying to kill me, as I'd much rather spend my time trying to figure out just why we were summoned here. The force works in mysterious ways, perhaps our meeting was not by chance."

"I've never heard of any of those lands, but I am, was from the Kingdom of Maglin, and like wise monk I walk on the cautious side especially in a strange land." He starts to walk towards the sandy haired monk in an inquisitive manner. "I do not know what this Force is you talk about but The Smiling Shade is what I think brought us here. He came to me in a dream after I was knoc...What is the last thing you remember monk? Before waking up here I mean." Fawklin said getting closer and closer.

Memories made themselves known from the back of Gherron's conscience then, breaking through to the surface. Wincing, he began to recall. "It's all very fuzzy... I do remember a voice, but he didn't call himself the Smiling Shade. It was..." He played the voice over in his head. "Omni." He shook his head softly, as if trying to get water out of his ears. "Yeah, that's it. Some guy named Omni. He said I'd interested him, so he took me here. Or something." He shrugged slightly. "Like I said, it's all fuzzy. What about you?" He noticed he was face to face with the man now, and only had to look up slightly; he wasn't that much taller.

Looking up towards the opaque sky trying to recall. "Right! Omni. What I vaguely remember is him saying some unsettling things." Fawklin puts his hands behind his back and steps to the left side of Gherron. I wonder what the Shade found so interesting in him, he seems so, so bland. Other than that scar. "Coruscant huh? It's a dangerous place? Who's the top swordsman there? If you're a monk, which gods do you praise?" About four feet away to Gherron's left Fawklin turned towards the fountain. Wait where's the fire bird bust?

Gherron began to recount the planet of his home, answering each question. "Well like I said, I don't worship any gods. Where I'm from... the monks don't worship anything really. We study this entity called the force. It lives around us, watching, and in some times serving. Those that have a strong midichlorian count can harness it." To demonstrate, he reached out with his mind to the knife at the man's belt, and it gently lifted out of the sheath and floated in front of his face. A small smirk played across the Jedi's lips, but not a threatening one. "Go on, take it."
Remembering it was his turn to talk, he continued on about Coruscant. Anyway, the top swordsman in the order, or at least since I'd been there, was my own master Joshua DragonsFlame. He taught me to fight with a sword. That's another thing. Monks where I come from also fight. But we're not soldiers. We've been in a few wars, yes, but we're mainly peacekeepers. Coruscant is a very dangerous place, but there are others more so." He took a second to let all of the information sink in. "So... what about you? What's Maglin like?"

Dumb founded and slack jawed Fawklin looked on as his dagger was dangling in mid air, as soon as the grip on the dagger loosened his reflexes kicked in and snatched it back. "Huh I bet you attract alot of women with magic like that." He can control air, and wasn't malicious or angry. Turning around looking over into the fountain searching for Yemukefu beneath the water. "Well Maglin is the second largest city in Stentar, it's kind of nice I never really went to the slums all to often but I've heard things about them. The city has been around for hundreds of generations." He spots his sword glistening in the water just out of arms reach. Turning back around he continued, "I assumed you were a monk because they were known to wear robes and strange talismans like your metal thing you got there." pointing at Gherron's waist. "My father was considered by most to be the top swordsman in Maglin because they just feared him....But Varen, my master was the true number one because he used more than just pure force."
Fawklin looked back to the fountain, turned and jump in, the water was thigh high and pleasantly cool. "You said your master was the best too. I must say, you are a good liar I couldn't feel it or hear it in your voice." Fawklin reaches down with a splash and grabs Yemukefu and drew it pointing towards Gherron. "No apprentice would travel without his tools."

Gherron sighed, anticipating this. The man wanted him to prove his worth. The Jedi figured he'd just cut the man's sword in half with his saber, like he'd done countless times before to similar opponents, and maybe then the other would not try to advance on him. Un-clipping the ornate weapon from his belt, he fingered the ignition on the side, watching a pale blue blade spring forth, with a snap-hiss followed by a slow, melodic hum. Twirling it a few times, he let his outer robes fall to the ground, and gripped the weapon in both hands and set it pointing downward in the direction of the man in the fountain.
"I must warn you before we begin, if you choose this battle, I will not back up. I will fight with as much ferocity as I do all that challenge me. I do not wish to take your life. If this is to be a simple duel, no harm will come to you." Eyeing the other intently, he tried to gauge his true intentions. Now that his awareness of the force was somewhat returning, he felt more at peace. Taking a deep breath, he waited or the first move.

Fawklin starts to laugh off his excitement letting Yemukefu dangle at his waist. "Of course you have a disappearing blade, here I was expecting it to be on your back under your robe." He jumps from the fountain putting his sword in its sheath. "I'm sorry for the disappointment but I had to know your intentions and your weapon." The smile fades from his face as if disappointed in himself. I need to be calm, I can't let myself lose control, can't meditate around him, I wonder if they do tea in this world? "Do you like tea monk?" Looking at Gherron still in a defensive stance with his saber ready for anything Fawklin stands there waiting for a response of any kind but with one thing on his mind. Junta Tea, a nice warm pot of Junta Tea. A few seconds later if reacting to wants a strange all color ball formed infront of Fawklin with a tea pot in the center where the swirling colors converge.

Gherron thought to himself for a second as the other resheathed his sword. It seemed... that he had only wanted some information on him, and the Jedi had played right into it. Not that it mattered really. The two needed to know each other if they were to travel together, which he saw to be happening at some point. Letting his blade switch off, he clipped it back to his belt, a nod and a smile following. He was even more intrigued when Fawklin produced a pot of tea. "Oh, I don't know how long it's been since I've had some good tea."
Moving a little closer, the smell his his nose, a pleasant one, but unfamiliar. "What kind of tea is this? I've never tried it. Though, being that we're obviously from different worlds, so I'd expect not knowing of it, except that I've tried most. I do enjoy a good cup of tea." He offered a smile at the other, showing his friendliness.

Placing two cups next to each other Fawklin beckoned Gherron over with a head gesture. "Ahh well by the smell I would say Junta Tea, but the Junta leaves look and smell like the poisonous Rosaltin weed." He said as he poured steaming tea into the closest cup. "Don't worry monk, err Gherron. I'll make sure it's not poison." He chuckles under his breath and takes a sip, waited a few moments and took a second sip of boiling hot tea. Unflinchingly nodded with delight. "Oh yea now this is what I'm talking about. The Smiling Shade knows how to make a decent pot of tea, but I'm better." He continued pouring into the second cup and topping up his.
He sits on the outer ring of the fountain grabs his cup and takes another sip. "So that is a mighty odd yet magnificent blade, does it have a name?"

Gherron took the cup and brought it to his lips, sighing contentedly at the flavor. Setting it back down, he listened to the man'a inquiry. Pulling the weapon from his belt, he held it in front of him. "I haven't given it a name, not many of us who wield these do. Where I come from, those strongest in the force, the Jedi and Sith wield these weapons called lightsabers. I'm a Jedi, and I'd like to say we're the good guys. We want order and peace, while the Sith... well, let's say they're not exactly the best at peace. We commonly fight each other. As a matter of fact, I got this-" He traced the scar on his face. "-from a young Sith not too long ago." He grimaced slightly, as if he were reliving the memory.

"Sith, Jedi, If I didn't see your light, saber I would have thought you were a delusional story teller." Fawklin laughs a bit. "I'm kidding, I've never been to war, my master taught me that 'War is for those who seek glory through ritualistic murder and death.' Is it as he says?" He begins to pour more tea into his cup and motions towards Gherron inaudibly asking if he wants more.

Gherron nodded and offered his cup to be filled again. "No, the Jedi and Sith are very real. If I had my notepad, I'd show you my travels. I draw, you see. Only... it't not on me, so it must be back on my ship. That idiot Omni couldn't just transport me [i]and[/] the ship?" He shook his head solemnly. "Anyway, this place seems to be having its own effect on me. My connection to the force is weakened somehow. I still have my strength, I can feel that, but it's like the power has been sapped from me, stolen somehow. I need to find a way out of here." He looked at the man opposite him. "What about you, Fawklin? Any significant changes to you?"

Pondering the question places his cup on the stone, after he refills Gherron's cup he stands jumps a bit vertically and apon landing runs about fifteen feet away in one fluid movement grabs his dagger turns and throws it lodging it in the middle column of the fountain. "Well my accuracy is a little off, I do seem slower, a bit heavier if you will, but I would need trees or rock formations to truly test my agility." He said jogging back to the fountain. Stepping up into the fountain to retrieve his dagger, and puts it back in his belt. "I do seem physically dampened but before we go on I do have something to tell you." Fawklin sits back down and drinks what is left in his cup. "I am what is called a Zjinn." He says lowering his head. "I'm sorry if this changes our acquaintanceship."
