Alright, I THINK I can get involved with this...But, first, 2 questions and 1 thing I just feel I should note;

For my questions...

First, how does Corruption work, exactly?

Second, if I have a weapon, could I still exchange it for a Signature Move if I so choose? (More out of curiosity than anything, I'm still keeping the Bone Staff.)

And, for thing I just feel I have to note....

Papyrus likely won't be willing to kill pretty much any of the Nebula "bad guys," despite them being...Y'know, bad guys. He probably will understand why other people are aiming lethal when he's briefed on the situation, but he won't kill unless he uses a Dark Chip and it goes to his head or something - he believes anyone can change, and has had no evidence to the contrary put in front of him yet. For that reason, even if I perform the "best" during a situation against a boss or the like(which, let's face it, is highly unlikely anyway), I ask that you don't give me the killing blow IC, simply because Papyrus wouldn't be willing to take the shot. (I'll still take the loot, though. Tongue)

I have a few questions.

Firstly, am I correct in saying that Nebula physics only applies in Nebula space, and is not a continuous effect that follows you around?
Secondly, if your powers rely on items in character (Stealth and Suppression), are those affected by the 'only one item works' issue?
Finally, does this draw on any particular inspiration or is this an original concept?

Carmelita is going to be the best scout for this saga.

I don't remember if I officially did it but as I have made clear in the past Hiro is definitely in for this

would it be okay for Kopaka to encounter a darkling in the Nexus? I'd really rather not have him have to travel all the way to his destination, see a thing, write about it, then write him traveling all the way to where Dr. Hoozit is camping out.

What is Dr. Regal's status and stance regarding the empire?
If history is to become legend, it first must be recorded.

Missed these at first, apologies. Just pretend this is the Nebula account. Confusedhh:

Corruption works very simple. Use more dark chips/dark power, get more corruption. At certain values, you get messages informing you you've hit a new threshold and any effects it might have. More than that is secret.

Second question, think you already figured out.

Carmelita is going to be the best scout for this saga.

Firstly: correctamundo
Secondly: Fodder items in that vein, or things that are just explanations for how powers work, will work fine, provided the power in question isn't effected.
Thirdly: It draws inspiration (rather heavily) from Megaman Battle Network, though there are some tweaks and changes on my part.

Just to double-confirm: Ayep.

Allow me to post something from an original draft of this saga info I had:

"A scientist by trade, and a brilliant mind when it comes to energy transmission. He has very strong feelings about the situation with Nebula, and seems very intimately familiar with what their plan apparently is.

He originally tried to function on his own here in the Omniverse, but soon enough was enraptured by the technology available in Coruscant and took up station there. He is far from well known there, mostly as an eccentric figure who has contributed to more efficient usage of energy in all manners -- from powering the massive city-verse, to enhancing the energy output of the city's police force weaponry and strengthening the usefulness of technology over the entire verse.

Despite being a scientist, and far from a combatant, Dr. Regal has been in the Omniverse for quite some time and is far from helpless, having a plethora of skills and technology at his disposal in the event he must defend himself. He is very familiar with the dataverse, and is prone to spending prolonged time within it, having a robotic duplicate summoned to be an exact likeness of himself left behind when he is occupied within the digital verse."

I hope that answers your curiosity satisfactorily. :frogpipe:

Where is Regal's Lab?
#69
Is it necessary to visit Regal's lab in-person? Some people, through no fault of their own have bounties, which might make doing so difficult.

I don't suppose if I signed up I would have time to do anything else before this starts.

I am tempted to join, but I have a concern before I can commit to it.

Lately I've only been able to manage about a post a week. Sometimes more, if I find myself with an abundance of time or inspiration, and sometimes less if I have a heavy workload. Are there any posting requirements or expectations?

And on a tangential note, you mention that on death a prime typically revives as normal, but if they have high enough corruption and don't succumb to it they are consumed instead. What does that mean? Are consumed primes dead until the end of the event? Are they dead forever? (I assume the latter would come with some kind of relevant bonus given to a new character made on that account.)

Not necessary, no. You'll be missing out on the information and warnings that Regal provides, but most of the important stuff can probably be filled in for you by the others participating when/if you join up with them.

Well, technically speaking, it's already started. But you can technically join in whenever you like, up to a certain point.

Unfortunately, there are posting requirements. Typically only when something major is about to happen, or a tense situation is afoot, so as to keep things moving and not drag out for too long, but there will be time limits and the like in place.

As far as the topic of being Consumed...that's a secret. Suffice to say that it will not involve death for good or being dead for the remainder of the event, but more than that I can't say.

That sounds suspiciously like being well-informed and planning ahead.

I think we both know by now that's not how I roll.

But it's only at critical points then?  That could work, my concern was more if there was something like 'if you don't post every two days you get ejected from the event', I can generally get a post out when specifically needed.
I was hoping to get some specifics as well, any idea what the time limits will be, or how many posts they will apply to?

Alternately, might it be possible to play something of a supporting role, so a team could continue without me if I become suddenly busy?
