He nodded his head, the eyelids of his eye-sockets sliding downward as if he was about to fall asleep on the spot. Despite this appearance, however, his concentration was being used entirely on listening to what Desco was saying. He analyzed every word she spoke and processed it in his head, trying to figure out what he can learn from her.
Honestly, he was glad she was weakened. If what she said was true (and given her mannerisms, his guess was as good as anyone elses,) then she had the power to destroy the world. He resisted the urge to feel for the chipped part of his skeletal torso, the scar that lined his collarbone down to the left part of his stomach. He wished he did, though, as almost immediately after, he felt a sharp twinge of pain shoot through his chest that started right from where his scar was. He visibly limped in his next few steps, though he made no noises and, soon enough, he was back to his original slumped, uncaring, energy-conserving posture.
Still, the thought that this Desco could very easily repeat what she had done almost made him tremble. One Frisk was bad enough, but there wouldn't be anything he could do against two. Regardless of where he was, he was at least glad the tentacle monster no longer carried the same power she once had.
Unless she was fucking with him, of course. That was also a possibility.
He forced out a chuckle as she recalled meeting Guu. From the way she spoke about the Princess, he was willing to bet the leader of Ambrosia held considerable power to reign in someone like Desco and keep them on a semi-tight leash. Or Guu was just as potentially psychopathic as Desco was and they just shared similar interests and child-like hobbies to warrant being friends.
He was just about to ask another question when one of the penguin-surfer-dude things began to speak up again. It had only been a few minutes since he had first heard them speak, and already he had a visual of what a washing machine with a brick thrown into it while it was running sounded like. Despite that, though, one part of his speech caught his attention, causing his eyes to widen a tiny bit: Guu's expressionless face.
"wait, doodette, hold the phone. what do you me-"
Then, time seemed to move in slow motion. In as little time as it took to breathe, the once harmless, child-like alien had screamed at the top of her lungs. She had then pushed herself up into the air with her tail, towering over Sans and the Prinnies. The reptillian-looking, demented yellow eyes all moved to glare at the offending Prinnie.
Then, as if he was in some form of horror movie, many massive, purple and red colored tentacles appeared behind her. One sprang forward, zooming past the skeleton.
The singular tentacle wrapped around the legs of the Prinnie. Before the comedian could even blink, the Prinnie was already sailing towards a nearby building. Upon impact, a loud explosion rang out, followed by bits of brick and mortar shrapnel flying around them. Several civilians immediately scattered from the scene, and despite there being a pretty huge crater where the Prinnie had died, the building was otherwise intact.
The whole time, however, Sans simply stood there. His eyes were as small as pin-pricks, and his smile had slumped a small amount. He looked back at Desco, who was now smiling as if she didn't literally just kill one of her own minions in a fit of childish rage. The sudden shift of mood made him giggle a bit, which knocked him back into his senses and reverted back to how he looked previously.
"that was, uh..." he began to say, his words obviously coming a lot slower and more carefully thought out, "quite an explosive way to blow your top there."
He took a step back, his bones tightening in anticipation.
"but, uh... what did he mean by 'expressionless' and 'creepy face,' exactly? and, uh..." He glanced back towards the hole in the building, smoke filling his nosehole and almost making him cough, "why was your reaction to toss him into that building and almost kill a bunch of people? just sayin', it's a little over the top, ya know?"
i may be all alone
but i'm here to tell ya honey
that i'm bad to the bone
B-B-B-Bad to the bone

Desco looked back at the Prinnies, both curious and surprised by what Sans had said. They were Prinnies, didn't he know that? But realization spread across her face. "You've never seen Prinnies before have you! That's okay, the Omniverse is like that. A lot of demons from Netherworlds that have never even heard of Prinnies before." The citizens that witnessed the explosion shuffled away quickly avoiding getting involved lest their own lives be forfeit.
She pointed at the Prinnies. "These are Prinnies! They are humans who were bad in their lives so they were sent to Hades to repay their sins! Prinnies are sentenced to live in the service of demons like Desco, or Angels, until they've paid for whatever sins they commited in their past life. Then Emizel who is Death right now reaps their souls and they reincarnate into Humans again on Earth" "Yea that's pretty much it Dood." "Life as a Prinny is hard Dood, but there are worse demons we could be serving. Have you heard about this succubus called Etna Dood? Torture doesn't begin to describe what she does to her Prinny Squad."
Still facing Sans, Desco pointed back to the crater of the Prinny that had died. "Prinny Rule Number 3. You shall never anger your master. The punishment is death." "Its really not fair Dood." "Yea man, there are so many rules, Dood." Desco nodded and smiled. "The first Prinny Rule is that they must include the word 'Dood' with every line they say! Or they have to start over their Prinny Training. Understand? They just come back after a little while anyway after their soul gets refitted to a new Prinny body."

Those of the crowd that already parted already from the explosion soon joined the rest of the citizens as the walled against the nearest establishments. Two giant yellow birds rode in, their cat sized talons plopping hard against the stone streets. Sitting atop them were two men, one was dressed from head to toe in what looked like O-yoroi armor but heavily modified. He had a large samurai sword at his hip. The second was a satyr woman, flowing red hair that reached her shoulders and matching red hair on her goat legs. She was adorning a coat of scale mail over a green leotard.
The satyr woman had her bow out, but he wasn’t aiming at anyone, in fact, she was more looking all around her. The samurai, however, dismounted his bird. The demon child was more curious than thinking of retaliating as the man slowly approached her. When he was a mere 20 feet away, he reach up and pulled off his helmet. Upon seeing the man, Desco’s face lit up.
“Nyeseth!” She cried out to her old friend, the second person she had ever befriended in the Omniverse. She ran over, using her tail to push herself into a hug.
“It’s been a long time!”
The demon child pushed from the hug. Nyeseth held her up in his arm to keep her eye level.
“You won’t believe all the things that happened since we last met!” She yelled excitedly.
“Oh yes, and I want you to tell me all of it, but there’s the matter of the explosion.”
“Oh! The prinny was saying bad things so I had to-”
“Oh no, I know all about the Prinnies.” He said calmly. “But you did blow a hole in the street, and you almost hurt people who were not Prinnies. You really shouldn’t do that in your best friend’s city.”
Desco’s eyes widened as it finally dawned on her the mistake.
“I’ll fix it! I’ll fix with with Omnilium!” She yelled.
“No need, we’ll have people on that. Just please be more mindful where you blow up things.”
Desco nodded with a smile, Nyeseth nervously smiled back, not sure if that was a sincere promise.
“How about I escort you two to the palace… for your safety of course!” He signals to the satyr girl who takes the reigns of the other bird and starts moving for the pink building. He turns back to the pair and does a polite little bow to Sans. “Much apologies for the trouble, sir! I hope you don’t mind being accompanied by the captain of the royal guard.”

Quote:I'll try to adjust my posts to you guys. This one turned out a bit long, not sure why
Ambrosia turned out to be as chaotic in its layout as it was in its architecture. Undyne wondered if the princess had simply let everyone build their houses as they came without setting up properties, paths to be kept empty for streets and other infrastructural rules, because this place was a maze. The citizens were surprisingly comfortable with the jumble and gave good directions towards Pokute Palace though.
After a few minutes of traveling along a large open road Undyne stopped the horse and Jeremy came to a halt behind her. "Everything alright?"
"Oh, yes. I just need to get out of my armor." She had noted the looks a few people had shot their way. Sure, armed and armored visitors weren't a completely unusual sight but for a community living so close to Camelot but the display of military strength was still mildly unsettling, especially since Undyne's armor looked nothing like the ambrosian Royal Guard's. But, removing the armor ought to be as easy as summoning it, right? No, it turned out to be even easier. Almost like her spears, she was able to remove the armor from her body with a simple thought, watching as it dematerialized and left her in her more casual clothing - that is to say, her tanktop, jeans and boots. How curious... but nice! She stretched her arms over her head to shake off the feeling of heavy armorplates and grunted with relief. "This rules! I bet I could summon my armor right the same way."
Jeremy sighed. "I wish I could do something like that. Summoning what you want at will? Sounds gre-" He was interrupted mid-sentence by an explosion on a nearby building. Undyne and him both turned their heads and Jeremy's eyes widened as he saw a few pieces of concrete flying at him. Undyne reacted faster: she pushed her weight into her saddle's stirrups and launched herself off while guarding her face with her forearms while simultaneously re-summoning the armor she had just discarded. Just as the pieces were about to hit Jeremy she got between him and the danger and took the hits with her chestplate and armguards. Then she bent forward and ended her dive with a roll that fell a bit short when the weight of her armor pulled her back, so that rather than elegantly getting back to her feet she ended up on her back, looking up. Jeremy was frozen in the saddle for a few seconds, then scampered, trying to get on the ground. "Undyne! Are you okay?"
"Heh... don't wet your pants, Burgerpants", Undyne said as she once again de-summoned her armor and stood up. She dusted herself off, ignoring the couple of people that had noticed her leap, and climbed back in the saddle. "I had my armor on. Didn't take a scratch. Besides, I'd rather take ten hits than to let a civilian take one. Remember, I'm the captain of the Royal Guard. I protect everyone."
"Uh... yeah, but... couldn't you just have blocked the projectiles with your spear?"
Undyne blinked, then cleared her throat. "Well... I guess it was more heroic to jump in the way."
"..."
"Anyway, let's get back on track!" She shot a glance towards the area where the explosion had happened, but saw nothing unusual. Well, people were scampering away from a small group that might have been the cause of the ruckus. A big purple monster with large tentacles, a bunch of... penguins, if she remembered human history correctly, and two humanoid figures that were obscured by the floating purple monster. She dismissed the issue with a shrug. As chaotic as Ambrosia may be, they were bound to have law enforcement who would take care of that.
Despite that the two of them lost their way several times even with the directions given by the helpful citizens, their fast mounts and a headstart of time meant that they arrived at Pokute Palace before Desco, Sans and the ambrosian Royal Guard. Completely unaware that she had been only a couple dozen meters away from another Underground monster, Undyne dismounted and left the horses to drink from the trough that the palace personnel had left for these occasions - although she didn't realize that she was supposed to tie them to the wooden pole next to said trough, and just left them to roam. She dabbed a bit of water on the gills on her neck to wet them then headed towards the entrance. "Well then, let's see who I can ask around here."
"I don' think you're gonna have to look much, you two." A girl was leaning against the archway that the two of them were approaching. Her dark clothes had at first hidden her but now Undyne wondered how she'd not noticed her. The colored hair and punk-rocker-esque attire stood out quite notably. "You kids new 'round here?"
"... wait, you're talking to us?" Undyne asked when she realized that the girl was referring to them both when saying 'you kids'. "First of, I'm twent-"
The girl raised her hands. "Chill out, geez. I don' care how old you are, you're both fresh arrivals, so I'm callin' you kids. Probably got here straight from the Nexus, huh?"
"The Nex- oh, yes. Right. Pretty much, yes." She eyed the other girl over. "We're looking for someone in charge that we could speak to."
"Well, you found me. Name's Sylvia Black, leader of Ambrosia while Princess Guu's absent. And you two are?"
"Undyne."
"... Jeremy."
Undyne decided to speak up again before Sylvia could ask them more sidetracking questions. "I heard - I mean, we heard that this Princess Guu knows more about this place. I'm searching for some friends that I lost, and I was hoping that someone could tell me when she's back so that I can ask her."
"Time don't work like that in the Omniverse, Undyne. It's kinda confusing but sometimes minutes here are days elsewhere, or the other way around." Sylvia shrugged. "She might come back tomorrow, or in a year. You dig it?"
"... I guess." Undyne rubbed her chin as if grooming a nonexistant beard.
"Who you lookin' for anyway? I might know somethin'."
"A bunch of people... all monsters. A bipedal white-furred Boss Monster with goat horns and ears, his name's Asgore... a yellow-scaled drake girl, who's kind of socially awkward, named Alphys... and two skeletons, one tall and one kind of short like a kid, named Papyrus and Sans."
"Don' think I heard of any of them. But well, there's a skeleton living in Ambrosia..."
"Not the one with a beard."
"Then nope. You could stay in Ambrosia while waitin' for Princess Guu to come back though... or I could search the databanks for you." She waved for them to follow her and led them into the palace. Undyne asked as they walked.
"I meant to ask, by the way - this Ambrosia, is it common? For monsters to have a community like this, I mean."
"Not quite. Most people around here are outcasts who can't find any place to live, or any half-decent gig. There's a couple other places in the Omniverse but they're rare. An' if I catch you giving the stink-eye to more people in the palace, I'll have you kicked out, fishy."
Undyne was startled. The girl addressing her this brazenly was not something she was used to. "I actually have trouble believing that there's humans living here and you treat it as normal."
Sylvia stopped in her tracks and glared at Undyne, despite being shorter. "Listen here. I hate prejudiced idiots, so if you have a problem with humans you can get out of here this minute."
Undyne raised her arms. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to... it's just that humans aren't exactly the best where I come from."
"Yeah, you'll have to leave that behind here. Humans and monsters coexist in Ambrosia, although there's species-ism in a number of areas. We don't take kindly to that sort of thought here."
Undyne took a deep breath, remembering Frisk. "Got it. Humans and monsters coexist and are considered equal, at least in Ambrosia."
Sylvia continued to walk, nodding. "Ambrosia is a "sanctuary for the odd", we like to call it. No matter your species or looks, you're accepted around here. It's a bit chaotic but you'll find that it's rather fun." She eyed Jeremy over her shoulder. "What about you? Cat got your tongue?"
As they walked to whatever room Sylvia was going to lead them to - likely the one to conduct a database search - Undyne involuntarily began to smile. A community of monsters not stuck in a confined underground space, and where not all humans were evil? This place wasn't bad...

Well, Desco certainly wasn't kidding when she had told him she had taken over Earth. Someone with so much power that they could toss away some minion and blow up half a building without so much as breaking a sweat could very easily take over Earth. He stuffed his bony hand down the collar of his white shirt and brought it up to his face to shield his throat from having to breathe in the noxious brick-dust and smoke billowing out from the nearby crater. It wasn't like he NEEDED to breathe, since monsterkind didn't really have any set of physical lungs, but the last thing he wanted was his throat getting tickled or otherwise impeding him in some way he didn't know about.
Still, he took a few more steps back, if only to preserve his life in the all too likely scenario that she exploded like that again. A part of him was telling him to run or, at the very least, walk away from the thing right now. He quickly dashed those thoughts to the side; there was no telling what would happen if he up and started to walk off. He didn't get the sense Desco didn't throw violent temper tantrums on her "friends."
He listened to her explanation as he glanced to the side. The streets had quickly cleared out, with any civilian in the area having fled the scene. He suddenly realized that they were the only ones still standing there in the middle of a wide open street and right next to the site of the explosion. He was about to suggest they start moving before she spoke again.
"You've never seen Prinnies before have you! That's okay, the Omniverse is like that. A lot of demons from Netherworlds that have never even heard of Prinnies before."
Well, wherever Desco was from, it was certainly not from the Underground. That solved that particular problem, but only by catapulting him all the way back to square one. He would have sighed had he not been concentrating on what the purple not-Boss Monster was saying to him. As she explained to him just who exactly who he she dealt with on a regular basis, it started to make sense to him why he couldn't feel exactly "nice" around them... aside from the annoying voice, of course. But he could stand voices like that. Hell, he himself practically spoke in the most needlessly goofy voice a skeleton could make. But these Prinnies had rubbed him the wrong way from the start. There was just something so unnatural and just plain wrong about them after he actually thought about them, their appearances and their mannerisms. They too were an amalgamation of various different types of creatures, but unlike Desco they were in no way constructed with any form of consistency or even any skill. They were practically Frankenstein Monsters in animal form; they possessed the beaks of some bird creature he had never seen before, the wings of a bat, and they held a glazed, glassy look within their almost puppet-like eyes that made them resemble more like reanimated corpses than actual, living creatures.
Good.
He looked towards the crater left by the deceased Prinnie as directed by Desco. He had to admit, as deserving as they were, he didn't know if it was such a good thing that they could just respawn like that. It just gave him unpleasant memories, thinking about what it could do to them. Forget whatever they did, he wouldn't wish a punishment like that on anyone. That was a pain no one, not even mass-murdering sociopaths should be forced to go through.
It was right then that he noticed the two massive, golden birds approaching them. They had been standing there for far too long.
He was just about to start walking in the other direction and pretend that he didn't know what was going on when the avian creatures halted. Desco, her Prinnies, and Sans all turned their heads to face them. Atop of the slightly larger golden bird mount was some kind of humanoid clad in armor he didn't recognize but still looked modified from whatever it used to be as well as a large sword so big that Undyne would have fainted if she had been there to see it. His companion, a women with red goat legs, long red hair, and a coat of mail armor, held her bow in plain view but aimed it at nothing.
Just his luck, too. They were very clearly guards. He took a deep breath, readying his limitless charm for a good use.
The samurai man then promptly dismounted, beginning to walk towards them. The skeleton had to wonder how suicidal someone had to be to want to walk towards the same creature that had just blown a hole in your city. His answer was quickly given to him as the man, who was most definitely human, removed his helmet. A look of recognition slid onto Desco's face as she went to hug the guy, who was named Nyeseth. As the Desco curled up around him, he had to stifle to chuckle. She looked strangely adorable, like a baby hugging its mother. She had a happy, if not content, smile on her face as she removed herself from her friend.
The comedian said nothing as the conversation between the two took place. However, his eye-holes did widen just the tiniest amount upon witnessing Desco's proclamation to fix the crater. He would have frowned if he had any eyebrows. She didn't seem particularly concerned about the hole beforehand, so why would she start now?
That would be a question to be answered at a later date. For now, he had to get to the palace. And, thankfully, Nyeseth was more than willing. He had his satyr woman companion bring the other Chocobo forward, intent on escorting them to the palace. He chuckled as the man gave him a slight bow and addressed himself as the Captain of the Royal Guard.
undyne would so have a problem with that. he thought to himself before shrugging in return.
"ah, it's okay. i'd like a free ride," he said before pointing towards his mouth, "mind if i pop a squat on your bird thing?"
Thankfully, the Captain was more than willing to oblige. After sliding onto the saddle of his golden Chocobo, he lowered his gloved hand down towards the skeleton. Sans was pulled up from the ground so fast he thought his arm would come off before he plopped down behind Nyeseth. He must have weighed a lot less than he had originally suspected (which wasn't much to begin with. He's not fat, you know.) He felt the rocking of the feathery creature as it strolled through the streets towards the pink palace; he also felt the feathers as it tickled his coccyx, which nearly put him into hysterics due to how sensitive his tailbone was before he finally got used to it. He wrapped his arms around the Captain for stability so he didn't fall off, but the rocking of the mount, combined with how sore his legs were from walking and running and the fact that he had just drank a million gallons of ketchup soda and-
He conked out right then and there. He snored pretty loudly when he slept.
i may be all alone

that i'm bad to the bone

Sylvia lead Undyne and Jeremy into a medium sized room filled with computers. At one end was a huge control panel full of buttons and keyboards to a ridiculous display, the rest of the room was full of finely placed desktop computers from different eras of technology as well as a few made up ones, including one that appeared to be built into a floating rock. It looked like a stereotypical villain character couldn’t decide between a security room or a computer lab. Sylvia smiled awkwardly while shrugging.
“I don’t get our Princess’ room decoration choices sometimes, the gym is completely normal.”
Sitting at the control panel was a little blond girl in a pink dress draped around her body. The dress looked like it was made entirely of pink fur. Undyne at first thought it was part of her body if it wasn’t hanging on her by the strap. Sylvia presents a hand towards her.
“This is Molly, one of Guu’s daughters.” Said Sylvia casually.
“Hey.” Said Molly, barely lifting a hand to wave at her, not even looking away from the screen which was displaying lots and lots of cats.
“Anyways, before she was adopted, she had a job with collecting information, so she’s quite good at that. It’s why she gets the big computer.”
Molly gave a “rock on” hand gesture.
“Anyways, describe the people you want to find and she’ll not only search the databanks, but also do a general search online as well.”
Undyne unloaded, giving a general description of Frisk, Alphys, Asgore, and Papyrus. Her targets in place, Molly immediately set to work, rapping away at the keyboard. Sylvia’s attention was pulled towards her phone which was emitting a soft hum.
“Oh crap.” Exclaimed Sylvia. “Hey, I’ve got to check on something real quick. I’ll be right back.”
With that, that punk girl moved out the door. Along the way, she stops a cat woman dressed in guard armor. After a brief chat, she stations next to the computer lab door. Molly, for the first time since they arrived, looked towards Undyne.
“Sorry about her roughness. She tends to rails on that multiverse stuff hard on newcomers. Had a lot of problems with that in the past.”
“How so?” Said Jeremy eyeing the cat guard nervously.
“Just miscommunication and crap.” She pointed to a seemingly arbitrary place on Undyne’s body. “Can I see your communicator for a second?”
Uncertain how the little girl knew where she kept her phone, she reluctantly handed it over. The girl reached into a drawer built into the console and pulled out another phone. She held one device in each hand and tapped a few times with her thumbs, then she switched to the computer briefly before handing back Undyne’s phone and handing the new phone to Jeremy.
“I’ve added an app to your phone, it grants you two access to the recall station.” She began, flashing her own phone to show the app which was labeled ‘Travel to Ambrosia,’ “Yeah, it’s located on the border of the palace property. Whenever you want to come back here in a flash, just click that button, sit still for ten minutes and you’ll warp back here.”
“Woah, that’s amazing!” Undyne exclaimed. She’d never seen such technology, even amongst humans.
“Anyways, that out of the way, I managed to find a few things on your friends.”
“Wait, really? Already?”
A large picture of Frisk flashed on screen, she was smiling while doing rabbit ears behind the head of some android guy,
“Frisk joined some group called the Avengers.”
“That seems uncharacteristic of her.”
“Her job title amongst the group is ‘resident mascot.’”
“Okay, that makes more sense.”
“Anyways, her contact info is on their website so I’ll just send that your way, maybe you can give her a call.” She said as Undyne’s phone buzzed from the new message.
A photo of Alphys splashed on the screen which sent the fish lady forwards slamming her hands on the console surface. The photo has her posing with a bunch of old men. She was holding some sort of letter in her claw while she forced a smile into the camera.
“The one you refer to as Alphys attended the Empire Programming Academy at Coruscant. She was brought in order to bring in diversity amongst the student body, however-” she scrolled up to reveal the title of the page ‘Controversy at EPA,’ “apparently the student body didn’t agree with the school board. She dropped after a single semester. All the article says of her whereabouts is she left verse more than six months ago. Don’t know where she is now.”
Undyne gave off a deep sigh, she was so close but yet so far.
“However, the article did mention that she was a Prime, which means she was immortal, so she must be alive and well somewhere out there.” She turned to look Undyne in the eyes. “Don’t worry about it, I have her and the rest of your friends logged, so as soon as anything comes up, you’ll be the first to know. We’ll find your friends, don’t worry.”
Before she could respond, everyone shot their heads towards the doorway. Sylvia has returned, but she was accompanied by two guards dragging someone into the doorway and what appeared to be a a little girl with numerous eyes sewn into her dress was following close after floating over what appeared to be some cthuloid monster.
“Don’t worry about us!” Cried Sylvia as the looked over at the unconscious man being dragged. “We have another in use of your services Molly, as soon as he wakes up.”
The two guards move over to an out of place couch that was inexplicably in the room now and plopped the man on it. As soon as the guards stepped away, Undyne immediately recognized the him; Sans, snoozing soundly, drunk off his ass.

Desco wandered into the room behind the others, taking Sans in with them. He must have had a long day or needed a lot of sleep since he went to sleep so quickly. Desco didn't want to disturb him so she just went with the flow. The two remaining Prinnies still tagged along, as usual shuffling behind and the last to enter the room chattering between eachother. Desco would have to consider bringing the other one back sometime. This was his thing though, and he was sleeping so it was up to Desco to decide on what to do next. Sans still hadn't actually told Desco all that much about this Papyrus character or why he was looking for him. It was trivial but Desco did want to know.
The littlest final boss overheard a bit of the conversation from this fish person and a human? Or Demon, Desco could never tell for sure when it came to humanoid form. Slyvia called someone Molly, sitting in a chair. Desco knew Molly a little, she had met her in Camelot hanging out with Gildarts. She hadn't spoken with them for long but Desco was busy with the tournament. It wasn't important, Desco needed to introduce herself. Even though it seemed like they already knew why she was here. "Hello, I'm Desco! This is Desco's new friend, Sans." Desco pointed at Sans for a moment. "Desco sent an email to Guu and she was told by Sylvia to come here to help him find his friend? His name is Papyrus!"
Sylvia smiled and nodded, waving at Desco, "Hey Desco, I knew it was you, I was well-informed about your appearance. I'm Sylvia, I sent you the email."
Nyeseth spoke, "I think you can handle this now we are going back out on patrol. You be good now and try not to cause any more damage to the city okay?"
Desco waved at Nyeseth, "Okay! See ya later!" The soul reaper captain waved back and gestured to the lady guard to go along with him. Her hoofs made clear sounds on the ground echoing back until they had left the palace, or at least far enough that Desco couldn't

Undyne turned her head to see the Royal Guard entering as well as the people they were escorting. The room became pretty filled as a result of it all so she just waited for now. The human girl with the strange clothing introduced herself as Desco... and asked about Papyrus? And Sans?! That was too much coincidence to-
"SANS! It's really you!" She exclaimed when she identified the sleeping skeleton there on the couch. Because Desco was in the way Undyne simply leapt straight over her head and landed right in front of the couch, where she grabbed Sans by the collar of his jacket and aggressively shook him back and forth. "Wake up!"
The poor skeleton was awoken quickly by the brutal shaking. Undyne stopped the shaking but continued to hold him with her face close to his. "... huh? what... who... where..." he sputtered, trying to gather his senses and make sense of the flood of impressions coming onto him.
"It's me, Sans! Undyne!" the fish-woman replied and resisted the temptation to shake him again. More than a few pair of eyes were on them, but she neither noticed nor cared.
What she cared about was that Sans, the first individual of the Underground after Jeremy, was here. She did not know the skeleton much, mostly as Papyrus's brother and as the individual who ran an illegal hotdog stand in Hotland, and she'd gotten to speak with him a bit when staying over at his and Papyrus's house as a result of... issues with her home. Issues that she wouldn't ever address again. In other words, while she knew Sans a little, he wasn't someone that she'd consider herself friends with, or even good acquaintances. But that did not change much about that she was rejoiced to see him again and wrapped his arms around him for a massive bearhug. A bearhug that lifted him off the couch and risked squeezing the half-digested ketchup out of his stomach - or whatever organs he may have underneath that shirt - if she applied more force.

(This post was last modified: 02-28-2017, 08:51 PM by Jak Mar.)
He was going back to a place he'd hoped he would never see again. Jak found himself running even faster than stopping to attacking the stormtrooper who seemingly was after him.
The white clad soldier # CRT-333 didn’t even say anything and just kept shooting. If Jak didn’t move, he would face the same annoyance he did around the desert. Memories swelled up in Jak’s head. This wasn’t the greatest time for a flashback but it came.
Survive or the desert will be your grave.
Ironic how Damas’s statements always made the most sense when you are very far away from the man. Graves in the desert. Men like him who fought their way into Spargus, and saved the world more than once. He was dragged into this hellhole 2 years ago with Daxter, Torn and Damas.
He had managed to fail himself, his friend, his father and Torn. The hero could easily feel the corruption building up in him.
A tingling sensation grew over the man for a second because he swore something was watching him, once he saw nothing. He kept going, carefully.
Now he was just Genjaro’s lab toy for the Empire just like Baron Praxis’s pet to take over the world.
“Ah, isn’t this a cruel twist of fate.”
Jak's face looked a lot odder than usual, if someone would look at him closer.
The precursors would be choking on their own laughter by now as they would see their hero falling over his own feet.
That white bald headed man had brought him here.
“Fake it or make it”
Jak could only mutter this as he forced himself time and time to get up again.
New allies, new friends. He could only watch them leave as time only grew on.
Isn’t all this the same? Isn’t a hero supposed to be lonely?
He shook his head and kept pacing himself for a while as he dodged stormtroopers, the various citizens which cursed him out multiple times for running into them.
He wasn’t used to ground running but something flashed on his small dataverse com:
“[i] Breaking news: Killer flower on the loose.[i]"
“Damn. Great, I don’t have time for this.”
He sighed and finally reached the portal to the Nexus as he showed his hand toward the coruscant guards.
They gave him a look and nodded “Go ahead, Prime.”
The familiar blindness of the nexus hurt his eyes, but instead of complaining about it. He ran toward the Tangled greens.
There’s a place he hadn’t been in years.
A old place with old memories: The Horseman, and Sombra’s little twist thing. The Horseman headquarters had probably fallen to dead disrepair over the years and someone probably took their place.
There was one place he didn’t visit. It was the bustling town of Ambrosia. People talked about rumors that they were freaks in there.
Jak didn’t care, he was a freak in himself right now.
Jak summoned his hoverboard and decided to take it for a spin through the Tangled Greens. Keeping his eye on his trigger finger for any darklings, was going to be an interesting encounter.
He jumped over various logs that had fallen, and lifted up his hoverboard when he had to walk over a few obstacles.
It took him a few hours to pull up obstacles and more, but after a small adventure, he ran into Ambrosia.
Jak desummoned the hoverboard and then eyed the guards in the front gate.

The tell tale signs of impatience began to settle into the eco warrior’s demeanor as he began to juggle his hoverboard in his hands, sometimes looking back into the distance at times. His foot began to tap as he crossed his arms, slightly sighing.
He waited a few more minutes before he dropped his bluish hoverboard on the ground and it began to load up. Jak took one step on the board and began to turn the mechanical device around and rode it through the forest once more back to the Nexus and back to Coruscant, the city of dangers.
He would make up for lost time in due time.
The Tangled greens were a pesky tangled mess of trees and other details at times, making the hero have to jump over certain tripping points.
He pushed through the brush and continued on his way.
Though he did hand a note off to the guards of Ambrosia before he left
“Ambrosia’s leader,
My name is Mar and i intended to talk to you again, maybe some other time. Perhaps I’ll meet you at Dr. Regal’s Lab. I heard there was some trouble.”

Jak wasted no other time and pushed and shoved his way through the jungles and made it back to the Nexus portal after he dusted himself off with the green leaves that had fallen on him.
The gate was open and he hopped off the hoverboard, moving toward the Nexus gate and walking inside.
(Sorry guys, but you can still contact Jak later)

The only way he could have woken up to an even brighter tomorrow was if he could see Papyrus anywhere in the room. Or see anything at all, really. He couldn't lift his face up and off of her black armor to get a good look at anything, but he no longer cared. Besides, it would give him the change to do something he had never done in public for a long time.
He returned Undyne's embrace, ignoring the massive amount of force pressing around his torso. The edges of his bony smile curved straight upwards, which showed off how white and sparkly his teeth was. The movement of his mouth sent an unusual feeling all throughout his face, as if he was managing to make a stone statue smirk. It required a bit of force from just how long his typical "smile" had been glued onto his face. Hell, he had almost forgotten how to actually do a normal smile.
Undyne, though, gave him a much needed reminder.
He said nothing for a long while, fighting off the urge to vomit and trying to at least enjoy the hug while it lasted. After a minute or so, however, hot bile started to crawl up his throat, burning his neck. Closing his mouth, he lightly pounded on Undyne's back while making muffled, yet obviously distressed groans. She could hardly hear him considering she basically shoved his face into her armored chest, but the light thunk sounds from her metal armor was enough to get her attention. She loosened her grip, dropping Sans to the floor. He sorta liquefied on the spot, rotating white swirls for eyes as he stumbled around. The world was positively spinning for him. He tripped back onto the couch. He lolled his skull to the side, managing to focus on the one person in the room that mattered most to him: Undyne.
"un-undyne... you've... gotten better since we last met. new haircut?"
She rolled her eyes. "Hardee-har-har. Good to see you too, Sans."
"i can tell. you almost killed me with how much you missed me."
"Ah, yeah... sorry about that.." She rubbed the back of her head, smiling, "you feeling okay?"
"well, i'm not dead, so that's good. it would certainly feel bad if i was dead."
Undyne chuckled, crossing her arms across her torso. She turned towards the alien Desco. "So... who's your friend?"
"oh, that's desco." He waved a bony hand in Desco's direction. She responded with a jubilant hop and a similarly jovial hand-wave. "she's some kind of alien from outer-space or somesuch. met her at the candy emporium a ways away."
He decided not to mention the fact that he had bore witness to her murdering one of her own Prinnies and causing an explosion in the city square which resulted in a short confrontation with the city guards that would have almost certainly would have ended in them having to flee for their lives if it wasn't for the fact that the guard who came up to them apparently knew her. He never fully appreciated how useful it would be to be friends with the Royal Guard leader up until now.
He almost burst out into laughter. It was half-tempted to inform Undyne that there was a new Royal Guard leader, but his better judgement won out. The last thing he wanted was to have to chase down Undyne before she literally challenged Nyeseth to a duel of fates or something related to anime when they should have been out looking for-
Papyrus.
His smile didn't disappear. Rather, it seemed to reglue itself back onto his face, bringing back the goofy, perhaps a bit unnerving, radiant clown smirk.
"say, undyne... you don't know where papyrus is, do you?"
i may be all alone
but i'm here to tell ya honey
that i'm bad to the bone
B-B-B-Bad to the bone

"Desco, eh? Well... nice to meet you. I'm Undyne... from the Underground, just like Sans", said Undyne, facing the purple girl and offering her hand for a shake. Had it been a different time she may have introduced herself a little more in detail, with her title and whatnot. And she may have asked Desco a bit more. What Sans was telling her about "aliens from outer space" was intriguing. According to human his- eh, Alphys's anime, aliens could either be really nice, friendly people, or monsters come to enslave mankind who needed to be fought off by magical princesses. Desco looked like the former though.
But, this was this time. And Sans's question brought up what Undyne was going to have asked already. "I'm, uh, sorry", she said, turning away from Desco. If they hadn't shaken hands in that time, she'd just withdraw her hand at this point and turn back to Sans. "To answer your question, no. You're the first inhabitant of New Home besides Burge- I mean Jeremy who I've met ever since I... arrived here." She nodded towards Molly. "She's been helping me a bit just now, before you two arrived. Apparently Frisk and Alphys are around here, but I only got Frisk's number. No mention of Papyrus."
"have you been here long?"
"Not really... half a day, maybe. We came out in this white place and... we went through one of those portals and ended up here. I guess it was fate that led our steps."
Just as Sans's lips curled into a slightly bigger grin at Undyne's very anime-esque wording, Undyne noticed a very peculiar video on Molly's screen. Her eyes widened as she stepped forward. "Hey, what's this?"
"Oh, it's just the news that just came in", the girl replied, taking off earphones. "Looks like there's some troubles in Coruscant."
"Can you go back a bit? I have an odd feeling..."
Sans too had seen it, and when Molly obliged with a shrug, they both saw their worries confirmed. Commented by the news reporter was footage from Coruscant where a golden flower was massacring civilians. A golden flower with a face that Undyne would never forget, despite only having seen him for a few seconds... and that would have been the time where she would have spoken his name in a low anger-filled tone if she knew what he was called.

"Ohhh, that sounds evil!" Desco giggled slightly in appreciation of the evilness of the news. The slaughter of civilians is very final-bosslike. It served as a means to encourage heroes to stand up agaist the tide and grow strong to challenge the final boss. All the more fun to crush to dust! At least that was what Desco was taught and believes in. She never had much opportunity to excercise her final boss status on Earth. She was brought here instead to this place. Still, if Desco was not here she would never have met Guu. Desco changed expressions immediately and turned to Sylvia, burning with curiosity. "What is Guu doing right now? Desco wants to see her!"
Sylvia just smiled and shrugged. "Sorry kiddo, I can't help you with that I can only tell you what she wanted me to. Don't worry, she'll be back when she is finished. To be honest she works a little too hard sometimes. So make sure to cheer her up when she gets back okay Desco?" Desco frowned, that wasn't what she wanted to hear, but then smiled and nodded. "Okay.." Now she wasn't sure what to do. Desco turned back to Undyne and Sans. "Anyway so Underground? Desco has never heard of that Netherworld before! Sans didn't talk about it, what's it like? Hades is a lot of fun! Its full of lava and demons and Prinnies to play with! Desco likes practicing her attacks on the Prinnies, especially Nemo. Did Desco tell you about him?" Desco's voice quickly moved forward without the chance for interruption. She held out her arms in a wide gesture, "He was a human that God tried to use by forcing all of the evil of humans into him so that he could destory Earth! But Mr. Valzy couldn't allow that, that would disrupt the natural order! So Desco and Big Sis, everyone helped to defeat him and force him to go to Hades to repay his sins! Besides.." Desco crossed her arms in a thoughtful pose, "If Desco let Earth get destroyed then she and Big Sis couldn't conquer Earth. It wasn't very Final Boss-like, but Desco would do anything to help Big Sis."

"Sorry guys, but it looks like we'll have to meet again some other day", Undyne said. She snagged a post-it note and a pencil from the desk where Molly was sitting, took out her Communicator and scribbled down a number that she read off of it, then put the pen back and the post-it note into Sans's hand. "Here're my phone number for this place, if we get separated. Give me a call as soon as you can so I can get your number, okay? I'll be sure to call you if I see Pappy anywhere, or any of the others." She grabbed Jeremy by his hand to drag him along but then realized that the others still were there. "Desco, right? It was nice meeting you too. Have Sans give you my number, you're an okay person." She accompaigned that statement with a toothy smile. "Molly, Sylvia, I'll be back soon. Thanks for everything! Let's go, Jeremy."
With that she rushed out the door and through the corridors of the palace towards the exit, dragging the poor Jeremy along like a puppet. But once he had caught himself and was running alongside her, he tugged his arm. "Undyne, stop for a second!"
"Why? What's the matter?"
"Listen, I... I'm going to stay here for a while."
"Wha? With Sans, you mean?" She stopped in her tracks, and Jeremy caught up to her.
"No, I mean here, in Ambrosia. I want to find a job here. Maybe they're looking for an actor somewhere. Or an employee at a fast-food restaurant to flip burgers", he added with a cynical grin. "Whatever the case, so long as it's far away from HIM, I'll be happy."
Undyne frowned, then broke a smile. "You wouldn't have been much help in a fight anyway", she replied and poked his forehead with a finger. "You realize what you did just now? You're starting to take control of your life again."
"Well... I guess I am", Jeremy said after a moment of thinking. "I've memorized your number by the way... and I got a phone from that Molly girl, so I'll save you as a contact. If I catch sight of any Underground inhabitants I'll let you know."
"Awesome. I'll try to be back fast. Oh, and. WHEN I come back, I want to see you working your way towards being a movie star. I'd hate to have to beat some sense into you because you went flipping burgers again."
"As if there'd be anything left of me to have sense after you beat me up."

Well, that face sure was familiar.
The footage caught his attention the moment he saw the individual it was covering: a small flower with six golden petals on a rampage all throughout some place called Coruscant. The deceased littered the metallic, lustrous streets and alleyways as the camera loomed overhead like an epic aerial shot in an action movie. Millions more civilians were fleeing in the background, a bunch of colored specks indistinguishable within the wave of terror, desperate to escape their doom. Squads of perfectly-organized, shiny-armored, expressionless soldiers closed in on the flower and their demise.
Or at least Sans assumed they were heading to their demise, as the footage cut off before he could find out.
He stared at the screen, frozen, stupefied. It wasn’t the slaughter; he could handle bloodshed, no matter how gruesome. It was the flower. He could recall every aspect of it in his memories. Its smile, cheerful and morbid in its sadism; its eyes, glittering and piercing, a demon’s glare; its voice, high-pitched, friendly, false, whispering saintly nothing's as it slowly, to ensure it got every bit of satisfaction it could out of you, took your life away. He could remember all of that like he had met the flower just yesterday. Yet he could not remember its name. He knew it had a name, but he could not remember it.
The combination of familiarity and his utter lack of memories revolving around the most basic, seemingly obvious characteristics of it was what froze him to the spot. Memories were the most treasured, cherished things in the universe, and to be robbed of them, or even just be unable to conjure up one due to factors completely outside one’s control, was something he never wanted to experience. Imagining what it would be like to lose one’s memories, to be unable to recall the name of a face you recognize, knowing you know the name but not being able to put the name into words or thoughts, and despising yourself for such a blatant failure even if it wasn’t your fault to begin with, was an abyss of madness he had always tried hard to avoid sinking in. He rubbed his hand against his forehead, staving off his hangover-induced headache as he grabbed at anything that could allow him to remember the flower’s name.
Thankfully, Desco chose that moment to distract him.
"Anyway, so Underground? Desco has never heard of that Netherworld before! Sans didn't talk about it. What's it like? Hades is a lot of fun! It’s full of lava and demons and Prinnies to play with! Desco likes practicing her attacks on the Prinnies, especially Nemo. Did Desco tell you about him?"
He glanced over at Desco. She spoke really fast when she got excited, apparently. At several points he tried to stop her so he could answer, only for her to just keep going.
“He was a human that God tried to use by forcing all of the evil of humans into him so that he could destroy Earth! But Mr. Valzy couldn't allow that; that would disrupt the natural order! So Desco and Big Sis, everyone helped to defeat him and force him to go to Hades to repay his sins! Besides.."
Holy crap, how long could Desco go without stopping for a breath?
"If Desco let Earth get destroyed then she and Big Sis couldn't conquer Earth. It wasn't very Final Boss-like, but Desco would do anything to help Big Sis."
Once he was more than certain that Desco had stopped talking, he started thinking of how to respond to her spiel. He decided it would be best not to think too deeply into whatever Desco was saying this time around. The mystery that was Desco was a mystery for another time, when a part of his brain was still shocked by the revelation of the vile plant creature existing in some other part of the universe.
“the underground? its, uh... a pretty neat place, i gotta say. we use the lava for electricity and machinery there. we even got a whole facility devoted to doing just that. definitely beats candles, ya know?”
He wasn’t really lying. Sure, he was pretty certain there was no such thing as a Netherworld in his world, but it wouldn’t hurt to pretend he knew what Desco was talking about.
“big sis?” he said. He supposed he shouldn’t have been so surprised. Even purple aliens with godlike powers from outer space had loved ones too. But what drew him to the statement was the word “anything.”
anything at all, huh…?
Knowing what he knew about Desco, that word held connotations far too sinister to be ignored. He paused, pondering on his next few words. The last thing he needed was for TWO pissed off purple aliens with godlike powers from outer space coming to tear him a new asshole for whatever perceived slight he would commit.
Before he could respond, however, Undyne made her move. Detailing her intentions to leave, she handed him a post-it note with her number, and a request to have him give her number to Desco as well before she departed. The action was so sudden that, for a few moments, he didn’t quite know how to respond.
Then it hit him. She was going after the flower, wasn’t she?
A wave of dread rushed through his bones.
He excused himself, told Desco her phone number as well as his own, and proceeded to follow Undyne’s trail. He didn’t bother taking notice of Burgerpants, or anyone else for that matter, as he walked past him, past passersby, and out the gate of Ambrosia. The cynical portion of his brain was screaming at him. It was a hopeless cause; he couldn’t stop her even if he tried.
He brushed those thoughts away.
He couldn’t see his friends die all over again.

With Undyne and Sans wandering off to do their own thing, Desco briefly spoke to the others. "Desco is going back to exploring, see you later!" Sylvia responded with a wave and, "Okay Desco don't damage too much Ambrosia property out there!" "Desco knows! You don't have to remind her!" She walked out of Ambrosia castle and surveyed the city. "Um, Desco needs her Prinnies back." She held out her hand coaxing some Omnilium out of her chest and setting it to work and materializing some new Prinnies. It constructed their outlines, filled in with color and continued to add more and more detail until the Prinnies were revived and back to serve their master. "Hey Dood." "I guess I'm back here again Dood." "Okay Prinnies let's go!" Desco held out her hand and pointed to the city, walking off in a random direction yet again.
