Fountain Questions

I have a few questions about the fountain. Firstly, how often does it change form? Is there a specific time, or can it be changed anytime as roleplay fodder? Secondly, what kind of forms can it take? Could it become something as simple as a chair, or as small as a pebble? Is it all roleplay fodder, or is there some system in place?  How much is left up to the writers discretion, and how much is already unchangeable?

I have a few questions about the fountain. Firstly, how often does it change form? Is there a specific time, or can it be changed anytime as roleplay fodder?

There isn't a set "time" that I am aware of or has been told to me by anyone as to how often the fountain changes. To me, it just seems to change as often and as much as the writer wants it to at any given place in time.

Secondly, what kind of forms can it take? Could it become something as simple as a chair, or as small as a pebble? Is it all roleplay fodder, or is there some system in place?

Generally, it can take any form, really. I guess the only real "creative restriction," so to speak is the fact that water has to be coming out of something somewhere. No real system in place here.

For example, I have written the Fountain of Infinity to be a regular old fountain, Mettaton's Fountain from the MTT Hotel, and a Church with a bowl full of holy water. That should hopefully give you a rough estimate as to how varied the shapes can be, alongside the descriptions in the Nexus description.
