Character history:

There once was a egg, which was incubated alone in a sandy nest at the edge of a swamp. It's peculiar placement was due to the parents of this egg, the would be impossible hybrid of a Lightningcaller dragon and a Corroder dragon. However this egg was taken by a human who would later be known as the Founder, and also known as Teacher by the hatchling. Humans did not exist in the hatchling’s native universe, however the Founder merely stumbled upon the technology needed to transverse the multiple universes. With the technology and egg in hand, the Founder created the game called Dragon Sky.

And it became big, 9.5 million daily Players in America when the American Branch Arenas first opened their doors to the public. The hubs had two ‘gates’, one was called the Gatherer, where players were put into the real world of Dragon Sky and remained human and where they can scan and obtain unique ‘dragon data’. Then they can go to the gate dubbed the Arena answer use this data to fight in tournaments or obtain new item drops or experience from bosses coded by the Founder.

Then, a few years after the openings of the American Branch Hubs, the egg hatched. However the hatchling appeared human due to the Founder's experiments. He raised the hatchling as his own child even though he already had a son. The Founder kept the hatchling a secret until he was mentally and physically the same age as the Founder's natural son. This “catch up” period only lasted 3 years, in which the hatchling became 16 mentally and physically. At this point his aging slowed down and normalized.
After this the Founder introduced the hatchling, which he named Aegis, to his son, who only had his father as family. Unfortunately Aegis was given much more attention and patience than his ‘brother’. Then the Founder introduced them both to the game. Aegis far surpassed his brother's skill, for Aegis was from that world.

Several years passed and the Founder had to code in new challenges for Aegis, for Aegis became the world's top player.

His brother got jealous and tired for being second time the favorite, and so he decided to break into his father's files for information. Thusly he learned the true origins of his ‘brother’, so after one of Aegis’ outings in the Gatherer side of the hub, his brother hacked the gate controls and made the gate tissue Aegis into an arena to fight.

As usual Aegis won this battle, even though it was one he didn't want to. His brother then fled after burying his Dragon Sky account. Within a year Aegis’ brother Damir performed 24 hacks, and Aegis clearly handled them. After a raid and two hacks in one day in the Arena gate, Aegis walked out, but the portal took him somewhere else, somewhere clean and blank.

Physical Description:


Aegis as a Draconian stands at an imposing 7 feet 5 inches. His set of horns are taken from the Corroder, he has front facing horns that swoop down at a slight angle then flatten out a bit, they jut out till 3 inches past his muzzle. On his back he has thick and short bony spines that are surrounded by black and blue dollar coin sized scales. His legs are powerful and thickly muscled similar to his wing muscles and his tail. Even though his arms are impressive on their own they look slightly less imposing than they actually are when compared to his other muscles. His claws and talons are very similar to those of raptors. His teeth jut out to the side at a slight angle, making most visible even when he closes his maw. His wings are 14 feet across from wing tip to wing tip.

Aegis usually has a large pauldron on his left shoulder, and a sleeve of light metal scale on his right and only wears loose leggings and shin guards for bottoms, relying on his own scales as natural armor.

Lightning Arc : 300 OM

Thanks to his parentage Aegis inherited both breath weapons. Thusly from the Lightningcaller he received the ability to spew lightning. Each arc is slightly random, and sometimes the arcs branch off at the end of the path. Although the arcs can be predicted as they have the tendency to go towards conductive materials. A successful hit on a weak opponent can cause full paralysis for up to a 5 seconds. An arc can reach up to 30 feet.

Acidic Spray: 300 OM

(Requires Range and Debuff)

Thanks to his parentage Aegis inherited both breath weapons. Thusly from the Corroder he received the ability to spray acid. This acid is strong enough to chew holes into most materials within 6 seconds of contact. However the spit oxidizes rather quickly, becoming neutral in 8 to 10 seconds. However within this 8-10 and after starting out strong, the acid weakens and slows overtime. The spray can reach up to 20 feet.

Starting Moves:

The retracted and fully extended claw 'modes' make this move variable, and thus 600 OM. How long does it take to shift between retracted to extended mode, and vice versa? I'd recommend half a second. Can the claws be out while Aegis is using other moves?

"they have the tendency to go towards conductive materials" - It sounds like you would need the Homing Proficiency for this, friend! If you want to avoid that, specify whether or not Aegis needs to focus in order to use this move and remove the part about conductive materials. (In other words, does he need to concentrate and target his opponent? If that is the case, how long does readying this move take?)

Is there a cooldown period between the lightning arcs? Specify what makes an opponent "weak" to this move - is it how much damage they've taken, the amount of DEF they have?

Paralysis for 5 seconds is a pretty serious thing for a basic move, and it would need some serious drawbacks to justify it! Maybe it slows an enemy for 5 seconds, or disrupts their attacks instead. Even then, this move must fatigue Aegis somehow. Remember:

Drawbacks of a move might be: its low power, its difficulty to hit with, the long time it takes to charge, the limited number of times it can be used, the fatigue or harm it inflicts on the user, or otherwise.

When the arcs sometimes branch off, is it far enough to merit the Area Attack proficiency? Three feet in diameter is roughly the limit for beams without the Area Attack Proficiency. Is it possible for the move to be interrupted by something (ex. an attack from an opponent) and can Aegis move while performing it or must he remain still? Do the lightning bolts literally move as fast as lightning?

Below are some quotes from the rules that apply to both Acid Spray and Lightning Arc.

Is the target area larger than three feet in diameter? Can it miss and still do damage from 'splash' damage? If yes, you'll need the Area Attack Proficiency.

Can it home in on an opponent without needing to be aimed? If yes, you'll need the Homing Proficiency.

"This acid is strong enough to chew holes into most materials within 6 seconds of contact" - I would recommend changing this to "within 6 seconds of contact, this acid is able to burn Aegis' opponent." Or something like that. Remember:

When describing how powerful a move is, try not to use wording like "cuts through skin" or "breaks bones". This is because the actual damage an attack causes will depend not just on the power of the move, but also your opponent's DEF stat in relation to your ATK. It's best to leave this somewhat vague.

How long does it take for Aegis to prepare/charge up this move? Is there a cooldown time between bouts of acid spewing? Does the spray come out as a glob, stream, or a mist, and what does it look like? Does it have a smell? What is the move's area of effect? Remember, 3 feet in diameter is roughly the limit for beams without the Area Attack Proficiency.

Is it possible for the move to be interrupted by something (ex. an attack from an opponent) and can Aegis move while performing it or must he remain still? Is it difficult to aim and does it fatigue or harm Aegis at all to use this move?

Lightning Arc : 300 OM

Thanks to his parentage Aegis inherited both breath weapons. Thusly from the Lightningcaller he received the ability to spew lightning. Usually released in a short burst, about a 2 second long release. The arcs are verily telegraphed as Aegis must take a (4 second long) deep breath in order to fuel oxygen and energy rich blood to his fundementum and gizzard to produce his lightning breath weapon. A successful hit on the absolute weakest opponent (i.e 0 DEF) can cause full paralysis for up to a 2[/b ]seconds. An arc can reach up to 30 feet.

Acidic Spit: 300 OM

Thanks to his parentage Aegis inherited both breath weapons. Thusly from the Corroder he received the ability to spit acid. [b]It takes 3 seconds for Aegis to gather enough acidic spit to form a ping pongball size ball of spit. Within 6 seconds of contact, this acid can burn through Aegis’ absolute weakest opponent (i.e 0 DEF). However the spit oxidizes rather quickly, becoming neutral in 8 to 10 seconds. However within this 8-10 and after starting out strong, the acid weakens and slows overtime. The spray can reach up to 20 feet.[/b]
