<From The beginning of a Dream>
Blinded by the light and now the blizzard on top he finally let air back into his lungs or at least what he hoped was air.
This place was indeed what he had presumed it to be a snowy field now could be seen from every direction at least as far as he could see through the heavy blizzard that appeared around him.
He had some experience with these environments although normally on top of mountains rather then fields but it was all cold to him.
Revan knew not which way to go but he knew that if he stayed here he would freeze to death or at least he felt like he would remembering the words of Omni.
Trudging through the snow he found what appeared to be a small crevice in front of him under a large boulder.
He decided to lay in it just in case somebody was following him maybe it was the cold making him paranoid but he had seen the way so many had looked at him.
For the moment he had a minute to think did he really want to fight his way through this blizzard or go back to the far warmer area that he had come from.
He knew he could not die so long as he remained interesting and he was quite sure that refusing to explore and travel would quickly make him the least interesting so he felt in a way he had little choice.
He was beginning to fall asleep and for a moment he felt like he could just let himself drift off but no he knew that was the cold and he quickly moved his muscles up as he attempted to regain his footing.
It was time to begin his travels he just hoped there was a cave or something he could find out here before he had to find out what it was like to come back to life.

This place was more familiar to the dark overlord King Sombra, because of the ice and snow. As the winter weather made trotting through the verse different Sombra groaned. Why did life keep having to throw him curve-balls? His lack of magic was a problem and made him unfortunately unable to use his full power. Omni had ripped his power from his body. Without most of his abilities at his disposal, cold impacted him like a train hit a pony or a human, or whatever the Primes were. Really they came in so many shapes and sizes that he didn't know all about them. Truly? Sombra was lost and confused. Said confusion was nowhere near gone enough for him to be wandering around, but he knew it was the only way he could get stuff done. What he needed was Knights, and he also needed his old power and lots of new ones as well if he was to survive. "So this place does remind me of home. Perhaps I could find the Crystal Heart here and destroy it. After that, I'll need to encounter warriors I can mold in my own image." As he monologued, Sombra bumped into someone else.

Revan Noctis began moving into the blizzard once more facing the fierce cold that once again gripped his body.
He figured he was alone for now and the land seemed rather dead and empty for the time being and ahead the ice seemed thin.
He figured he was completely alone now and would be for some time but a few moments later he unexpectedly felt something hit him hard.
He turned drawing his sword worried he was under attack from some creature or worse the last thing he expected was a pony.
He had seen many strange forms in the former place he had awoken in but here before him was a pony and not even a breed he recognized.
When he looked closer it was obvious this was no average pony everything about it appeared wrong.
He examined the creature closer as it seemed to be examining him his eyes were drawn to the large horn upon its head which along with the obvious armour worried him.
Even stranger the creatures face appeared to have a human like expression on its face and the eyes seemingly glowed as a strange mist flowed from them.
"Explain yourself immediately" said Revan prepared to defend himself with his sword
He felt strange talking to a pony but he knew that this was not his world and he promised himself he would be prepared for strange things.
Now all he could do is wait and see how this creature from some unheard of legend acted and if it could even understand his words.

The moment the biped drew the sword on him, King Sombra came to two conclusions. One the Biped was probably a prime or an immensely powerful secondary. Two, he needed a weapon of his own as the creature was armed. As the bitter cold and the blizzard assaulted his senses, the dark king sighed. At least in what counted, the cold reminded him of his former kingdom, the Crystal Empire. Not allowing himself to focus on that memory, Sombra chose to do something he wouldn't normally do. Diplomacy was best when you were in a position of power, but unfortunately, he was not. Nor could he be in such a position, unless he achieved the power of a Deity, or somehow regained what Omni had stolen from him. Right now the creature wanted him to explain. Slowly, the dark king summoned his scythe to his hooves and prepared it with his telekinesis in order to use it on his opponent.
"You first. Who are you?"
Pleasantries aside, no one bossed the Slaver King around. Dominating the King of all monsters in such a fashion was not something some pony would have done and kept living. Unfortunately Sombra lacked most of his power, so he knew for right now he was little more than helpless against this new foe.

It seemed he was right the creature had pulled out what appeared to be a scythe which in his experience was rarely used as a weapon.
He noticed the creatures horn also seemingly glowed allowing it to use some form of invisible force to hold the weapon in the air.
Strangely the pony began to talk to him which he had suspected it of being capable yet it still brought a large shock to him.
He wondered if maybe he had just gone mad but if that were the case then why did he feel normal it was all very confusing.
It then occurred to him that the dark pony did not know who he was so perhaps it was safe to presume it was in not looking for him.
He stared at the ponies eyes for a few moments wondering what he should say and what he should not after all there was still very little he himself actually knew.
"My name is Revan Noctis what is yours?" he asked wondering what it was that he was actually talking to
He quickly began to realize that neither of them could keep this up much longer as the cold air was beginning to freeze his armour.
If they were to keep standing here they would both eventually die from the freezing temperatures and neither would be able to fight at their best.
"I suggest we find shelter before the cold claims both our lives" he said lowering the sword slowly
He had no idea where they could find shelter but he figured that the being Omni would have wanted to keep them alive at least for now.
He also knew that death would not truly claim them yet he had no intention of finding out what it was like to freeze to death and to be reborn.
"I do not know where we can find shelter but if we hurry perhaps we can find some on this current path" he said believing that moving on was the right decision

"Agreed. We should go back through the Gate to the Nexus." Even Sombra who was used to cold, knew temperatures like this were well above what weather should be like. Omni had yet another reason he was going to perish, when Sombra got his hooves on the bastard. Revan's obvious skill with that sword of his could come in handy.
Every king needed knights to swear his banner and do his bidding. Revan could be the first of them perhaps, assuming he as willing to work for Sombra. "King Sombra. Now, am I to assume you are highly skilled with your sword? If so, there will be job opportunities for you. To be exact, I'm putting together a squad of warriors that answer to me, powerful individuals. You would be the first of such...." said Sombra, as he tried to move towards the gate. Each assault of cold and snow against him slowed him down though.

Revan Noctis could not believe this King Sombra was already trying to recruit him all while seemingly running away.
He had come here for his own reasons and he intended not to leave now if Sombra wished to retreat he could or he could continue on with him deeper into the ice fields.
He did learn at least one good piece of information though the place he had come from was supposedly called the Nexus which was an interesting title.
He would surely need to return later to find out more about how it works but right now he needed to start here.
The way forward he chose was a path seemingly across some thin ice that had most likely at some point been a pond.
He looked back at the first other inhabitant that he had met and decided to offer the invitation only once.
"I appreciate the offer however as of right now I wish to gain the secrets to this place and I do not believe that this Omni would have made a death trap such as this without any thing to gain from it" he said wanting to gain a bit more knowledge before he returned to the Nexus once again
"You can turn back or you can follow me and discover the secrets of these lands" he said knowing that safety was clearly not something Omni had in mind
In truth he actually did hope Sombra followed him he had many questions and a bit of back up would have been good.
Either way he had already made the decision to find the secrets of this place and learn how he had gotten here and maybe even who the strange being Omni was.
Travelling onward he soon found the path slightly easier at least as long as some large piles of snow blocked the winds from reaching him.
He was not sure if Sombra was following him still but he needed to learn as much of the world as possible and this was the best place as any to start.
As he continued moving on he quickly found what looked like a cave and he decided now was a good time to set up a fire and rest for a bit.
Climbing in and sliding across the stone surface he found the rock mostly smooth and eventually got a bit bigger as he crawled further inside.
He had little to start a fire with currently but managed to crawl into a more comfortable position as he decided to wait out the blizzard which would surely end soon.
If it did not let up soon he would indeed be forced into travelling back through the gate but he was convinced that this gate like all the others seemed to be important and he wanted to know why.
Hopefully soon the storm would end and then he would make his voyage deeper to find what he was searching for.
Only once he was satisfied would he make his way to one of the other gates he needed to know more if he was going to find out where it was he had found himself.
Taking out his sword he placed it in front of him examining it he had noticed that when he prepared to fight Sombra it had been different to before.
His sword and even his hand had felt different he had felt far stronger and more powerful then he had ever been in his life like he was granted divine powers.
He wondered if he still needed food or water to survive not even Omni had truly explained that to him but he was quite sure if sleep was a thing so would hunger and thirst continue to have control of him. He would keep in mind to stock up on such supplies if he found them though he did not see any farms in the Nexus or here for that matter.
Lying down once again he decided all he needed to do was wait a while but he still wondered if Sombra would choose to join him.
There was after all still plenty of room in the cave for the strange pony to join him on his journey.
He continued to hear the roar of the wind outside and for the moment there was nothing but that to listen to.
He slowly started to fall asleep but for the moment decided against it he needed to make sure the cave entrance was not filled with snow before dawn.
He began to concentrate on the rock beneath him he knew he still had these strange new powers to work with Omnilium and he was wondering now if it had other uses.
Quickly he found he was right the Omnilium could be used to warm the rock beneath him which he figured could have been more of a reaction to the raw energy that it was.
He then looked up and through the darkness he could have sworn he saw something that looked like pictures on the ceiling.
He quickly found himself now getting up as he looked closer trying to use the light from outside he could see what he knew certainly now to be pictures he began to study them to find out what they could tell him.

Safety or learn more about the lands? Even the blizzard could not stop the insatiable hunger Sombra had to regain his old power and perhaps even surpass it. Sure he may not be naturally gifted with magic like Twilight Sparkle was, but then again he didn't need to be. Gifts were nothing compared to labor that was done to earn your power. The blizzard may have lessened his sight, but Sombra kept following Revan. Something about the swordsman was interesting. Learning more about the Frozen North, or whatever this place was called could be interesting. Eventually he might even build another base here, once he had enough of his power back. But that was going to be much later on. As he traipsed across the ice and continued following the path that the individual had walked, he was buffeted by the cold winds that belonged in a horror story. Even for him, the weather here was atrocious and needed to be dealt with.
Finding the cave that the individual "Revan Noctis" had entered, Sombra noticed the fire. So the individual did have some intelligence, after all. Fire could keep them both alive, but it wasn't going to be enough. Both of them were going to need food in order to survive. If it was one thing the King of All Monsters could do, it was hunt down creatures and slay them. Getting them food would be the easy part, but attaining new levels of power? There would be the hard part. Noticing the writing, the dark king went over to take a look at it.
"What is this?"

Revan suddenly turned as he saw Sombra approach him wondering what he had discovered.
It was difficult to grasp what he was truly looking at it appeared to be a picture of a large scaly creature with wings that he soon recognized as a dragon.
He could not believe that dragons were real here though he figured the leends had to have come from somewhere perhaps they had come from here.
"I am glad you decided to join me" he said knowing Sombra had made a tough decision
Looking further he also found a picture of what looked like people at least he presumed they were people fighting strange creatures.
It seemed somebody had taken the time to paint a few pictures whether these things truly existed here or if it was mythology he had no idea but it seemed this place held more secrets then one would have thought.
As the fire burned it lit up what looked like strange grooves in the cave wall though he was even more taken by surprise when they began to glow red and seemingly the image of a door had appeared.
He did not know what to say never had he seen such a thing though he did suspect such things would happen a lot especially if he had truly gone mad.
"It seems we have discovered some sort of door?" he asked not exactly certain
He placed his hand upon the rock and it felt hot at his touch and as he pulled it away a red hand print also now glowed.
The rock began to shift as it rose into the air revealing what seemed to be a passage way.
"Any idea what this is?" he asked his new found ally
"Your horn can somehow glow I think you should take the lead here" he said suggesting the best possible plan
They made their way into the stone tunnel that seemed completely black yet the walls began to glow as one sigil after another was revealed helping to light their path.
They did not get far however as the door slammed closed behind them sending a slight tremor through the rock around them.
"I sure hope nothing scary lives down here" he said as a small joke but even as he said it he ran through the odds
Surprisingly they did not need to get that much further before the small corridor opened up into a much larger room.
Looking around it was obvious that the room had been well maintained and well crafted by seemingly very talented architects.
He saw what appeared to be wooden crates though as he approached it seemed like there was nothing in them but some sticks and rocks.
However he noticed the room stretched off into three other directions and he had to admit he was feeling somewhat lost.
"Do you wanna pick a direction?'' he asked Sombra wondering if the pony had some better sense then he did
Then he felt it a sudden vibration through the rock beneath his feet beginning as a small tremor but then it began to gain in speed and strength.
He turned his head to the left as he heard what sounded like drums and shouting and he wondered if for a second they were about to be ambushed but no it was not moving closer to them.
"I want to know what that is" he said quickly moving to find out what was making the loud sound
"It would be best if we continued to stick together" he said looking back at Sombra as he then went back to moving
It seemed the cave opened up into a massive cavern with a pool of still water reflecting the rocky ceiling.
Looking out he found himself looking at the exact same creatures that had been in the pictures he had seen earlier.
Large humanoid looking monsters outfitted with armour and weapons he tried to find a word for them yet for the moment monsters was it.
They appeared to be lining up as if prepared for a battle though there was currently no sign of any countering army.
"Sombra!" he yelled turning around when he heard the sound of metal on rock behind them
Two large angry looking creatures outfitted in metal armour wielding large war hammers and shields had snuck up on them and were looking for a fight.
He looked into their green eyes as they snarled charging at the two explorers Revan knew he and Sombra had to work quickly or they would be killed.
More sound seemed to enter the cavern as more metallic sounds could be heard he drew his sword prepared to face off against the newly discovered opponents.
The monsters charged them and the time had come to fight once more as he quickly shook off the remaining cold and moved to intercept his enemy.

The moment the door shut on them, the dark overlord knew they were going to have trouble. It didn't take long for his theory to be proven. As the creatures pulled weapons on them, the dark king realized two things. One, he was done playing around with creatures that possessed the power to slay him. Two, he was in a rotten mood and was about to be bad company. As one of the lumbering oafs cam at him, Sombra tried to go into his shadow form. Damn it. Why couldn't he use that spell? Frustrated, Sombra channeled his frustration and his anger at himself into a spell. A dark magic construct of a gatling gun appeared, something he'd looked up. It appeared to be made out of black, gray and crimson crystals. This fired a single shot after about 9 seconds, that impacted with the creature and knocked it down.
Still that had taken a good amount of his power to do. Yet the creature was likely not finished by any definition of the word. So much for playing fair, it was time for him to be violent beyond measure. After all he had been nearly eaten when he had came to the Omniverse and if that weren't bad enough, at that time he'd been as weak as a kitten. Using mental depreciation he forced himself to focus.
"I'll cut you down to size with a weapon that inspires terror. Behold my scythe, Neverest and despair mortals!"
A crystal case rose out of the ground, and his scythe rose out of it. Telekinetically spinning the scythe, he'd perform Scythe Raid on the creature that he had just knocked down. With any luck, it wouldn't be getting back up.
"And if you know what's good for you, you'll stay down!" said Sombra, shooting Nightmare Force as the creature after about 20 or so seconds, to ensure he'd knocked the fight out of it.

Revan Noctis prepared for the coming attack of the vicious creature now standing before him.
He quickly swung his body to the side dodging the creatures attack as he stabbed and embedded his sword into the creatures back forcing it to the ground.
He had no idea who the two armies were before him but the creatures that had attacked them were clearly now charging the much shorter army.
The battle was clearly going to be a most fierce one as these two forces clashed in this underground cavern.
"I need to know what is going on" said Revan sliding himself off of the small ledge down to the army below
Since the ugly creeatures had attacked him he knew that they were not worth reasoning with right now and he mostly just wanted answers.
He could see who was clearly in charge the one that was now seated on a stone throne overseeing the battle.
Two large battle axe wielding warriors approached him blocking his path from getting any closer.
In truth by not attacking him immediately he already could tell that these short people were much more willing to talk then the others.
"I wish to speak to your leader" said Revan calmly looking back to make sure Sombra was alright
"Primes down here how surprising" said one of the guards clearly annoyed by the situation more then anything
"Please I am new to this place and I require some knowledge" said Revan deciding to let the guard be in control
"It is not up to me the general is busy" said the guard clearly gripping his axe tighter then before
"Let them approach" came a booming voice from behind the guards
Suddenly the axes were lifted high and the guards stepped aside as the general upon the stone throne was shown awaiting them to step forward.
Revan wasted no time doing as the general wanted taking his steps forward he prepared some questions in his head he needed to know.
He also knew they had to be quick the battle was raging and the general would not have time to speak with them for long before rejoining the battle.
He did know note that these creatures seemed to carry alot of gold with them meaning they were most likely extremely rich in material wealth.
"It is not every day that new primes arrive in our verse" said the large general clearly interested in knowing what they were doing here
"I am unsure of who you or your people are" said Revan knowing that was the most valuable information right now
"I am General Stonefist and we are the Dwarves of Dwarfholm and those are the vile trolls that threaten these lands and all who travel within them" said the General with clear pure disgust for his enemy
A land and kingdom of dwarves was very strange but he obviously had no place to argue with it he was just grateful to finally know who the two factions were.
"Now leave before you die this battle gos badly and soon I may need to make a hasty retreat to our more fortified positions" said the General waving them away
Revan moved away bowing as a sign of respect he knew now more about this land then he had before and wondered what other secrets it held.
Looking over the battlefield he could see that the Dwarves were losing and their frontline was being smashed by the Troll forces.
He knew these Dwarves were clearly full of more information and if more of these Trolls existed it could be worth having them as guides to the land.
However he could see that the Trolls were already moving to cut off any escape for the Dwarf General and in a way perhaps they would cut him off too.
"I think it is time we learned a bit more about these Trolls" he said moving toward the frontline of the battle
He found himself now close to the front line and the Trolls were quickly overrunning the Dwarf frontline which made being here dangerous yet hopefully worth it.
He found a large group of Trolls that were fighting some now heavily wounded Dwarves as he stepped up catching their attention.
"I am Revan Noctis and I am what you would call a prime I would like to negotiate a temporary cease fire" he said waiting to see how the Trolls reacted
It was not to be as three of the Trolls rushed toward him with massive battle axes held up high.
Drawing his sword quickly once again he moved to engage them as he blocked the first blow and spun his sword around hitting the creature in the throat.
The next two held still for a moment watching over the primes that had entered the battle clearly they were not going to underestimate them.
Revan looked to make sure Sombra was ready for what was about to happen and upon seeing that he and the Dwarves were ready it was time to test out their fighting skills in this new world and its strange laws of nature.
"Very well a fight it is then" he said preparing to enter into battle against the Trolls
The Trolls charged battle axes and war hammers raised high once more the Dwarves also charged now realizing they had primes on their side they were certain of victory.
Revan prepared himself for the oncoming horde as he prepared to strike until finally they were within distance and he was forced to swing hitting the first Troll far quicker then it had been expecting.
The quickness of his strikes amazed even him as he realized in the Omniverse for the first time just how much stronger he was compared to his own world.
The Trolls seemed big and large yet he found he had more then enough strength to block their blows and he quickly took advantage of this as he faced them in combat.
Many Dwarves had also entered the battle and they were now holding the line far better then before though still with some casualties now and again.
Leaping up he brought his sword down hard stabbing it into the chest of another Troll his sword going through the armour far better then he could have hoped.

Watching the war of Dwarves and Trolls, Sombra thought of something. On the one hoof, allying with the Dwarves would be like allying with the Elements of Harmony, which Sombra was never going to do. Still, he didn't like the looks of the trolls either. Fleeing was the option of thee coward, but the more he considered the mess Revan had drug him into, it was not his issue to solve. Therefore, he intended on removing himself from the situation at his earliest opportunity. Fleeing was good when he didn't have his full power, but he was no coward. Having fought the Alicorn Sisters in the past, he would not allow himself to cower. No matter the odds, he would press forward. Determined, Sombra let loose a Crystal Spike Shot followed by a Pistol type Dark Magic Blast at the Trolls. In short? He was done messing around.

Revan Noctis knocked another Troll down and brought his sword down stabbing it into the annoying creature.
The battle was going well with Sombra helping him the two were powerful enough to hold back the Troll army on their own.
Many Dwarven warriors rushed at the Trolls with their axes quickly chopping down their foes as it seemed the Trolls were no longer able to resist.
Revan decided to stop now and allow the Dwarves their moment of victory and to save his strength for later.
As the Trolls fell back it quickly occurred to them that they had lost and as it happened sounds of horns being blown came from within their ranks.
Many Trolls continued to fight on the front line in a futile attempt as it seemed the Trolls were not the type to surrender at least not to the Dwarves.
Revan watched what happened and was interested to learn more about the cultures of both races but now was not the time as he stepped back and made sure Sombra was un hurt.
He looked the pony over but it had occured to him that Sombra was a powerful warrior himself which surprised him if only because he was still getting used to a magical fighting pony.
"You are unharmed Sombra?" he asked hoping the pony did not take it the wrong way
The Trolls now seemed to be in full retreat knowing they were not currently equipped to fight the new primes that had joined the fight against them.
He could have hunted them down but the death of the Trolls were not his highest priority and he had got them into too much trouble already.
He found that Troll blood was easily removable from his sword and he placed his sword back into his sheathe.
The Dwarves appeared to be also falling back now as they said they would do and he considered following them.
The Dwarf General came out of the crowd towering above the other Dwarves he approached some behind him carried bags with them.
The General stood for a moment looking over the two his expression clearly still showed annoyance yet the Dwarf was obviously grateful as he motioned for the others to place the bags down.
"You have been brave coming here but you will not survive as unprepared as you are" he said motioning toward the bags
"These bags contain food and water may they serve you well" said the General having done all he could for now
"I advise you avoid the Trolls for now on they are known to hold grudges" he explained knowing the Trolls would now be more lilely to target them
"My advice to you travellers avoid Zul’gurand and the mountains of madness neither of you are ready to face such challenges" said the General turning to leave with his army
"General where are we and how do we leave this place?" Revan asked causing the General to stop in his tracks and turn around
"Delzoun is where you are exit that way to leave here and then you will find ruins up above travel down the path and you will find the second gate but travel quickly" said the General moving on with his forces
"I suppose we should go the way the General said" Revan glanced over the passage way that had been pointed out was clearly a much more smooth stone then the rest of the cavern.
"We cannot stay here unless the Trolls return and I rather avoid another fight for now" said Revan leading the way towards the passage way ahead of them
Again it had seemed the tunnel lit up bright as it seemed to guide them through the cold tunnel to the safety that was promised on the other side.
Eventually they ended up at an ancient stone staircase which was odd considering what they had seen so far but as they climbed it Revan realized that this was not meant to be underground at all and had in fact simply been buried.
They finally made it out after a few long minutes of climbing as a cold breeze caught them again the sky was still cloudy but the storm had at least passed.
Now they clearly were standing in stone ruins of a time long past and Revan wondered what other secrets would be found here.
He turned to study the ext on one of the pillars but sadly it was not of a language he recognized but he noticed it was not of the same text he had seen the Dwarves use.
He turned to Sombra wondering if the pony cared about history or not he decided to share the obvious information.
"This place is very ancient and I do not believe the Dwarves built it" he said to Sombra turning when he heard a sound of stone falling behind him
Revan was again forced to unsheathe and raise his sword as the Trolls revealed themselves from behind the stone structures some carrying their own bows.
His sword clashed with the large sword of one Troll warrior as another two with battle axes jumped down charging him from behind.
Another three Trolls leapt down charging at Sombra it was obvious they craved vengeance for their fallen brethren.
Revan kicked at one of the axe wielding trolls as he slashed at the one with the sword sending it backwards before he stabbed it on the ground.
Blocking the next axe swing that came his way he cut his sword into the Troll that had done it but more Trolls appeared clearly there was no escape now.
He engaged the next two Trolls that arrived using fast strikes to finish them quickly yet more took there place cutting down another he turned to make sure Sombra was still managing.

"Why did you drag me into this mess?" asked King Sombra once they were again under attack by trolls. They had not even had a moment to savor their victory, or so it had seemed to him anyway. "I am going to give you my communicator info once we part ways, but this will be the last time I go on any adventures with you until I am more properly prepared." Right now King Sombra wished he had more of his magic back, because he lacked a variety of spells. Sure he could use Crystal Spike Shot, or something of that nature.
But right now he decided slicing and dicing would work. Actually there was something even better he could do to those trolls. Something that was done to meat, to make it edible. Carving it into tiny chunks was done to meat. But that was not what he was going to do to these trolls. No, he was going to attack them until nothing remained with his scythe. Lifting it in his telekinesis after summoning it, he would perform Scythe Raid and go on the offensive with it once it returned after likely injuring some of the trolls. Truly he was growing tired of this insanity.
"Don't drag me into your madness from now on!"
Sombra punctuated this by bucking one of the Trolls in the Gonads. A low blow to be sure, but it was effective. A second later the head of that particular troll had been severed from it's body via his scythe. King Sombra was done playing fair. It was time to say buck you to fair play, and mercy, and throw both out the window. In short? The dark king was pissed. The Trolls didn't know it, but they had just signed their torturous death warrants by pissing off the dark king.

"Have you not had fun Sombra?" he asked joking just a little bit
He had thought the pair had made quite the team and they had already clearly learned much about the strange world.
Although Revan did sense that there was more to Sombra then he was letting on and he had hoped to have eventually learned more of what the pony had hidden.
Sombra was very impressive with his own abilities though it would all be for nothing if they were to give up now.
Finishing off another Troll the remainder appeared to be staying back now hesitant to engage them and not as certain as they had been formerly with their victory.
In truth Revan understood the anger of Sombra but now was not the time for them to lose their way.
The Trolls however after being beaten seemed to eventually stop and it seemed for a moment they were victorious.
A few moments later Revan noticed the truth as an even more massive heavily armoured Troll with a large sword approached.
His head was fully hidden behind a large helmet though his green eyes still shone through glaring in their direction.
"I am War Chief Stone Cut" said the hulking beast that was towering above the other Trolls now staring down at them from where he stood
"Primes you have fought well but now you shall die!" shouted the large Troll beating his sword hand over his chest
The Troll jumped down the stone barely holding his weight as all other Trolls gathered around to watch.
The Troll then brought up his sword and slowly moved closer ready and intent to strike the first blow.
Revan prepared a more defensive posture hoping Sombra would strike the evil creature first before he began his own offensive.
The creature had caught Sombra in its sights and was now moving closer to the pony intending to attack and defeat it first.
Switching again to strike the large Troll Chief he prepared to attack but he had to wait a moment for the Troll to be distracted.
It was now decided on what Sombra would do then he would attempt to finish the creature off and he hoped Sombra trusted him.

"I will admit it has been fun, but I was under-prepared. As you recall, Omni rips all of the powers save one or two from a Prime and I have yet to regain my own abilities. So Chief Stone Cut, you are the leader of the Trolls? If so, If I defeat you, your trolls and you will vamoose, scram, withdraw, relocate and otherwise leave us alone for the duration of our time here." His abilities had finally recharged, and King Sombra was not very happy with the trolls as it was. There were going to be no breaks on the murder train he was about to unleash. Sombra began a salvo of dark magic blasts, Crystal Spike Shots and even swung his scythe telekinetically, using it to counter the sword. "So shall we begin, Chief Stone Cut?"
Once he had blocked the huge sword from hitting him, King Sombra said. "If you're going to do ANYTHING useful, Revan now would be the perfect opportunity. I cannot block his sword and lay on a barrage of offensive magic forever. You need to do SOMETHING useful."

"So I had learned" replied Revan surprised that Sombra had been even more powerful before arriving in this strange world
Sombra then spoke to the Troll and he had to admit the words that were said made sense he was proud of his new found ally that was for sure.
The Troll did not reply however and as it charged he thought that Sombra's rage might get the better of him as the two of them finally clashed.
Sombra then seemingly asked him for help though he was still amazed that Sombra had as much power as he did which made him wonder how much power he could gain in this world and if it actually mattered.
He brought up his sword and charged in slicing the beast in the back with his blade sending the creatures blood into the air.
The Troll turned angrily to face the swordsman that had attacked him which was quite a terrifying sight to behold the creatures face was clearly full of hatred.
Revan wasted no time as he swung his sword again only this time it was blocked by the creatures own weapon.
The Troll grabbed him with its other hand and threw him to the ground as pain filled him from being slammed into the icey stone ground.
He quickly got to his feet again shaking off the pain as he realized this Troll was going to be tougher then he first seemed.
"I have had enough of you Trolls" said Revan bringing up his sword and running at the Troll again.
The sound of metal clashing against metal was loud as Revan brought his sword into contact with the weapon of the Troll in front of him.
He moved his sword breaking the clash and elbowed the Troll in the chest before swinging his sword around and stabbing it deep into the Trolls body.
After removing the sword the Trolls stumbled back and Revan hoped Sombra would take a few more swings at it.
The battle was far form over as it seemed the Troll still had some fight in it as it brought up the sword and clashed with Revan once again.
He was having none of it however and the two began to duel evenly for a few moments with each blocking swings until Revan hit the creature in the thigh causing it to go into a limp.
The creature soon tumbled down onto one leg but it continued to hold off Revan's attacks all the same as he continued to attempt to tire out the large powerful creature.
Eventually finally the Trolls grasp of its weapon failed as the beasts weapon collapsed to the ground with a large clang.
Revan brought up his sword intent on finishing the final blow but ceased when he realized the creature was already defeated in spirit.
Revan lowered his sword intent now on getting what he wanted including perhaps some more answers that could prove useful to them.
He looked at the other Trolls as they backed off slightly in fear yet their curiosity got the better of them as they stayed to watch their fallen leader.
The creature on the floor continued to grasp its leg in pain and shame humiliated by its defeat at the hands of the primes.
Revan cared little right now for the creatures suffering as he began to speak to demand his terms.
"You heard my companion earlier we want free passage and if you attack us again we will not be so merciful to any of you" said Revan letting the smaller Trolls know this applied to them as well
"I will grant you free passage my brethren will not attack you again" replied the Troll seemingly sincere
"Make sure that you keep your word" said Revan sheathing his weapon
The Troll was beaten and Revan had listened to the words that Sombra spoke of and while he knew this land held more secrets he agreed neither of them was truly prepared.
It was then decided at least in his head that he would return here later when he was far more powerful and find the remaining secrets that were held here.
"Leave the Troll Sombra and let us journey on I am certain there is far more to see" he said and as he looked up he saw what appeared to be a second gate in the far distance
"That is where we shall go" he said deciding it was time to leave the frozen wasteland for now until they were indeed more prepared
The Trolls had let them go freely atleast for now though Revan knew they wanted nothing more then to tear them apart.
He wondered if Sombra truly wanted to split up after all it was obvious they were quite safer together though he would accept Sombra's wishes regardless of what they were.
"I apologize for the trouble I got us into" said Revan knowing that the last battle had been tough on both of them and both needed time to rest
"If you still wish to leave you may but I do believe we fight well together" said Revan having enjoyed the company Sombra had provided in his short time here
The path to the second gate was seemingly going to be almost as long as the journey had been at the beginning of his adventure though Revan had no desire to camp out in the snow.
He had learned a bit more about the surrounding land thus the next time he returned he would be more prepared yet there was many more gates in the place that he had awokened in.
He needed to explore more of this Omniverse and if he had to do it alone so be it though he would have preferred Sombra remained with him.
He heard a strange sound in the nearby distance however and for a moment he wondered if it had been another horn from one of the Trolls though as he climbed up a rock he saw a rather interesting sight.
Their was a cold but flowing stream and a number of plants down below in the snow and what looked like animals though none he truly recognized as being from his own world.
A moment later he realized where the sound had come from as a large furry elephant stepped into view with its trunk high in the air.
More of these creatures came into view with what next appeared seemingly large two legged creatures that were surprisingly even larger then the Trolls.
It seemed this place despite the constant warring of the Dwarves and Trolls was still a successful ecosystem and Revan was certain he would return to study it more closely in later days.
After a long journey they finally had arrived at the large stone gate covered in snow once again it seemed very different to the other one they had entered from however.
Revan turned to Sombra allowing the dark pony one final goodbye if they were truly to part ways from each other.
"I suppose this is going to be our final destination together for some time once we enter this gate you will be free to travel on your own once again" said Revan giving Sombra a small honoured bow
"Stay well my friend I hope you find what you are looking for in this strange world" Revan turned to look back at the gate wondering where it would take him next after all he knew every place would probably have its own danger
He waited to see if Sombra would change his mind and stay or go on through the gate alone either way he had decided he would not judge the strange pony.
The sun warmed the air and the freezing ground and it was somewhat sad he had to leave just as he had gotten used to the strange land he had found himself in.

"As you seem to need my help in order to keep yourself alive, we shall continue traveling together. But if we are to travel together I shall be teaching you dark magic. For you will not remain nearly useless in a battle where the odds are quite literally stacked against us. I shall also be enchanting your sword so that it is more lethal against opponents." The dark king was not one who liked bestowing gifts. But given what both of them had been through? King Sombra didn't want to be caught with his 'pants down' again. They had underestimated the Trolls and that had nearly been a critical mistake. In fact if he hadn't had his magic besides Nightmare Force? Chances are both of them were going to be dead. It was why he was going to teach Revan his techniques in magic and learn how to use a sword anew. As they walked past the trolls towards the gate the path seemed to go on forever. What he did know now was that Omni hadn't just weakened him. Without others, there was a very real chance that the dark king could die. Enough Adventures had been had in this place for one day.
Recovery was paramount before either of them could come here again. Under nominal circumstances, the tyrant of the Frozen North was not thee kind of pony who'd invite people to his strong-hold. However as Revan had proven himself extremely useful with that sword of his a reward of some sort was in order. There was also the other matter however. His body ached, and not a dull ache either. It was like someone had dipped rusty dull knives in boiling hot oil or magma and then pushed them into his body. In short? Without a miracle he was not going to be up to fighting anything else any time soon. Having Revan along was practical so that Revan could be the target. There was more to it than that, anyway. A King needed warriors or that was how Sombra rationalized it. When they arrived at the gate that led to a familiar location, the Vasty Deep where he had built himself a home on an island the dark king smiled wickedly.
They could visit his castle and he could commence Revan's lessons in the powers of darkness.
"So do you wish to be my student, Revan Noctis? If so, our lessons will begin the moment we get to my castle. I built one in the Vasty Deep because it is not so bucking cold there. It is a moderately temperate place, thank Faust. I have yet to put up defenses at my castle, but once I gain back enough of my power I will focus on that problem."

(This post was last modified: 11-18-2016, 11:16 AM by Revan Noctis.
Edit Reason: Added location tag (Was not sure where I was going)
)
The battle in this frozen wasteland had been tough but he had felt he had managed the unknown situations rather well.
It seemed Sombra was rather annoyed with the situation however and failed to see what had in his mind been achieved.
Revan was most surprised to find that Sombra seemingly was not intending to leave him.
However it seemed it was perhaps more out of pity then any bond the two had formed with each other.
Admittedly the thought of having his sword enchanted was appealing and even more a safe haven to recover.
He decided then that he would take Sombra up on the offer though he hoped Sombra was being truthful with him.
"I suppose learning some of those powers you have could prove useful to me" said Revan clearly interested in the abilities that had been shown
He supposed he was in no position to turn down any help anything at all that could save his life from future attacks.
Yet he had no idea where his base was and he supposed for the moment there were other things he could learn from Sombra as well.
"Lead on Sombra" he said intent on listening and watching very carefully
Of course Sombra was far more aware of his way around this Omniverse which was the first thing he was looking for.
He would return to continue his own adventures for now but would continue them once his understanding advanced a bit more.
He was beginning to wonder however how long the pony had been here and if he was truly powerful as he thought he was.
He supposed the pony knew his way back to his own home easily and it would be fun to see how this species lived.
"I take it you do not fight Trolls everyday?" he asked wondering if the Omniverse was usually this dangerous
He clearly needed some rest and time to think things over he had been thrust into a world where Dwarves and Trolls existed.
He still wondered if he had gone crazy but he also had to admit he had finally begun to come to terms with what he had heard and seen.
Now was the time to follow the strange pony to wherever he was lead in this odd world.
He knew one thing however this strange world had a lot to offer and his journey had only just begun.
