Storylines of the Lost
#1
Share some of the storylines you may have had to drop for one reason or another.

I remember the first story I wanted to write for Guu involved her working at a cake shop. Was planning to do so many slice of life stories like that early on as I saved up OM for all of her shit. However, I wound up traveling with Nyeseth (now Minato) and Desco instead.

At some point, I wanted Guu to become a movie star and I'd have a long storyline about her antics on set. I might use a lot of those ideas as I continue the "Guu movie adaption" storyline.

Ambrosia was originally going to be just a castle I summoned in the middle of the jungle that eventually attracted weird stuff to it. The city that she wound up taking over, Langweilig, was just going to be a place Guu was going to become famous for making better, but circumstances offered me the perfect opportunity.

I once wanted to write an in-universe TV show episode for episode called "Primed for Life," which was originally about a prime and his family who spend every episode repeatedly killing him. It was transparently trying to portray primes in a negative light thinking it's what the majority of the secondary audience wanted and the move would be hit by much criticism. Then a few episodes in, it's clear they had a change of staff as the show takes a complete turn, as the prime father kills his family in self defense and out of regret, runs. The rest of the series is about him coping with what he did and eventually coming to terms with it. My typical absurdity.

I was supposed to continue my work for the Empire, but ended up banishing myself to write with Violet. That turned into a year long effort to get out and now that I am I've stalled again. One day I'll get the groundwork done.

Raal actually had some huge arcs planned before I stopped being able to write for him.
The Green star quest was going to culminate with the reveal that many of the obstacles Raal met - in particular the vicious dwarves he'd faced that seemed unnatural - were all the work of a Daemon of the burning legion building up power in the frozen fields. he was also going to reveal that with the power of the green star, he at least believed he could possess Raal and thus become a prime. In the end, Raal would have been imprisoned and beaten until Zul'kis and Ur'gash went to save him.

Zul'kis (and possibly Ur'gash) were going to die in the process, giving Raal a temporary power boost as a result - His magic worked on negative emotions, and he'd actually have grown to care enough about those two to feel a deeper hate than he had in the past as a result.
Everything past that was mostly unclear, but the idea was to keep him pretty racist and bloodthirsty towards those who threatened what remained of the horde, but, in good part due to Zul'kis's sacrifice, grow as a person and start to actually care about those around him.

At first, I planned for Mick to die, come back less pissed than he is now, and work with the Rebellion for a little while longer until he snapped and turned to the Empire anyway. Then Blink had Dredd offer me the deal, and things really picked up.

I also wanted to ship-tease Cassie and Snart, but alas, she's about to date an ottsel.

And, finally, I had a whole story arc planned for Ethan(working with the Dwarves, finding Lilah, taking on the Vasty Deep Quest...) But sadly, Omni decided this character wasn't fit for the Omniverse. I ended up at that one point where I couldn't settle on a character again.

I had plans to banish Strazio shortly after the Colosseum, but ended up getting in a fight in the Nexus and now me and Gamz are hunting werewolves. I still want to banish Strazio, but goddamned that's a lot of work to get out of the Underverse. I also had plans on joining Yu Kanda's faction, but again I got wrapped up in some different stuff.

Renji was going to spend some more time in Ambrosia, but he was such a painfully boring character to write. So now his demon friend gets to run around in his skin while I figure out how I actually want to portray the poor dude.

That's one of the reasons I love the Omniverse so much, you can get wrapped up in so many things that you never would've predicted. Strazio joining the Nexus brawl was completely spur of the moment, but it turned into one of the most influential storylines for him. (I still gotta get mah books back from Shang, the thieven bastard.) It's cool cause nothing here happens in a bubble, at any moment you could get jumped and banished or any number of things.

The Spirit saga sort but me in a quandary regarding what direction i want to take Trunks. That, and the sudden Goku Black saga in DBS which brought Future Trunks back into the fold.

For Deadpool, DA15 jacked up some stuff I had planned for Gingy (I might drop the character from NPC status to Secondary status, if I can).

Also, just in general, usually when I get out of a saga or main competition I completely lose sight of where I wanna take the character for the short-term future.

Back when I was McNinja, I was supposed to go to war with the Green's ninja clan, and also become Dracula's minion.

I think I died instead...?

I once planned to actually get some development for the Rebellion before I started killing them.

But alas, this day never came.

Well, I think we all know what Nealaphh had planned for the Omniverse, but I'll put it here for posterity.

Remove Omni from power, take place as god, and turn the entire Omniverse into a Bosch painting.

The plan was to make the Institute invaluable and the de facto manager of Omniverse infrastructure, and gain a following by trying to make everyone's lIves better. Once Nealaphh went full god mode, I planned to have him pull the plug on everything the Institute managed and revel in the ensuing chaos.

Not that different from Diablo really, just a more indirect approach.

Now?

I dunno. I think I'm gonna try and get recognition in every single verse.

Including the UV
And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued

I originally wanted to become BFFsies with some dwarves, but Iunno what's happening now. Maybe I'll dropkick Jade into the Astral Realm and do some huge quest there. Who knows!

Edit: also the Institute's disappearance has kind of been a real "uh, okay, what now?" thing.

As for Crowley.... uh, I have yet to post in the UV because I'm lazy, and I've dropped like 9000% of the storylines I originally had planned. One of them was somehow inspired by National Treasure lmao

Lord Zedd was originally to enter the Omniverse as a Power Ranger from the distant past (the ten thousand years ago that Rita Repulsa was always screaming about in the opening credits), sort of a sci-fi secret agent that also happened to be able to to transform into the Red Ranger for his T1, and summon his Zord at higher levels and such. He would have joined the Empire. Through Astral Realm visions and the Dunes Void Quest he would learn that had he stayed in his own realm, he was destined to be corrupted, then betray and murder the rest of his team, as well as assist in imprisoning Zordon in the time warp thing he was stuck in during the show. After being sent to the Underverse (whenever it would happen), he would have slowly been deformed and his mind eroded, and transformed into Lord Zedd, fulfilling his original destiny anyway. After emerging and willingly undertaking a Chaos Emerald quest to purge all memories of his past existence, he would have totally renounced all faction and friend affiliations and been a sort of "at large" evil Prime.

The secretly-Zedd plan was my original alt character idea, last July, but I couldn't bring myself to build up friend and faction relations just to toss them aside, and I never had much of a desire to play as Zedd after the turn as I did before and during, so I went with Matrix instead. Once third characters became a thing, I found it much more appealing to simply start as Zedd and build his own connections from the ground up. The direction and style I'm taking with him is far more enjoyable to me, plus he's different enough from Zack and Matrix, unlike pre-Zedd would have been. And, the whole "hey so can I quietly be a canon character but not say anything until the time is right" would need a ton of communication and prior planning with Greg and Alex, and I never got committed enough to so much as reach out.

I'll probably still explore the ancient Power Ranger turned evil overlord via flashbacks, though.

Also, Matrix was originally going to join the Empire after ducking and dodging them for awhile, but Cinnabar ended up being so much fun that I went ahead and stuck him with that faction permanently, instead.

Proto Man was supposed to have a solid writing partner at some point.
