Mina's first order of business was to get bathed properly , she did not want to smell foul in the presence of the princess . She was still a shaky mess though , trying to compose herself before continuing . Not only had the princess accepted the match up , it almost seemed she was just as eager to do this . That could simply not be possible though , could it ?

Once she felt clean enough she quickly got dressed , the dress she selected one she was sure that would have every male in the kingdom drooling . Completing the look with the worlds most uncomfortable shoes , and the necklace she had been gifted . She rarely ever removed that nowadays , only ever to bathe or sleep . 

She made haste to the castle once she was ready , seeming unaware of the fact she was practically strutting . Each step she took had a confidence in them she herself lacked , her short hair swept back giving her the look of a much more mature young woman . Though she remembered a time she kept it long , she shook off the thought for now .

Once inside the castle her strapless form fitting black dress had the desired effect , the men on duty were nearly floored by how it made her look . For as gifted as Mina was , she hid it quite well . If she acted like this more often , she surely would have a line of men at her door that wished to court her . This of course was why she hid her looks under the guise of being unkempt and tomboyish , she ill suited being a woman in her eyes .

She was told to wait on the princess which she decidedly would , hearing the whispers among the castle help . She cared not though , today was a day to enjoy herself . No matter what happened she was sure as long as she was with the princess , nothing could possibly go wrong could it ?

[Guu]

“Wow...” a voice chimed from behind Mina.

The nervous guardswoman shot around and saw a smiling princess, wearing a lovely teal dress, far fancier than her normal fair. She was somewhat red in face. Mina assumed this was because of the circumstances of the date.

“Glad you could make it prin-”

But she was interrupted by the princess suddenly grabbing her by the wrist and tugging her down the hall and around several corners. She could barely keep up in those shoes of her’s but somehow she was moving forward without tripping on her butt.

At first, she was fearful she might be getting punished as she was pulled along down a flight of stairs, she couldn’t remember where they lead.

“Where are you taking me your highness?”

At the bottom of the stairs was a door that lead to a secluded alleyway behind the castle. There was a carriage with two horses.

“Woah! You really when into this with a plan!”

The Princess climbed into the driver’s seat and extended a hand towards her. Meekly, she tooked it and was pulled in next to her. Mina blushed as she slid close up against her crush. Bonbon flicked the reins and the carriage road off.

Sunshine piloted the coach down some lonely streets and out of town, up a long dirt road that leads into the mountains. Mina was hit with a tidal wave of emotion, uncertainty, the thrill of adventure, love for her princess, she wasn’t fully sure how to process this turn of events.

As they rode around a bend, it came into view; a log cabin just sitting perfectly in a small valley, all just resting amongst the mountains that surround Berry Blitzkrieg. Wild flowers were goddamned everywhere.

“This is vacation home. I hope you like it.” Said, Bonbon, probably the first thing she really said this entire time.

She climbs off the coach, offering yet another hand to help her down. This time around, she could notice that Bonbon was still blushing profusely. Mina didn’t know how to read this.

“Let’s go inside, I’ll make us some tea.” Said the Princess.

She nodded softly walking just behind the princess , admiring the beautiful summer home she had been taken to . She had never seen a side like this to the princess , she had to admit she liked it though . She noted they were far and away from the prying eyes of the kingdom as well , this could bode well or bad depending on what else resided out this far away. Her words not seeming to find her for a few moments , once inside she slipped out of the rather uncomfortable shoes . Not wishing to scuff the pristine floors , her voice finally escaping .

" I certainly had not been expecting this , it is lovely though "

[Guu]

"You look lovely." Bonbon said. She turned to look at her but she wound up nervously looking at her feet. "In that dress I mean. I've never seen your outside of your guard uniform."

The guard lady felt her face burn, she was certain her face was a scarlet red.

"Thank you!" She spat out.

"Go ahead and get cozy, I'll go make us some tea." She said as she walked off and out of sight where Mina assumed was the kitchen.

As she took a seat in a nearby ornate sofa, she started to realized how odd it was for a princess to be serving one of her subjects hot drinks. The princess' humble nature around her kind was always a strong suit of her's.

After five minutes, the princess came out of the kitchen holding a serving tray, two cups full of piping hot tea. She reached the tray over to Mina and she took a cup. Then to her surprise, despite many chairs in the area, the princess took a seat right next to her. She could feel her own face go red again as her highness took a long sip and gave a pleasant sigh in response to the flavor.

[Eda]

She could feel the body heat of the princess next to her , she was sure that her entire body was a fine hue of red from nervousness . However she would not let such a thing get to her , finding the flavor of the drink was quite pleasant indeed . She outright forgot that drinking left handed exposed the scar that still graced her arm , just beneath her elbow . Having earlier in the year given a literal arm for her kingdom against an attempted coup , she had healed fully however . Having full use of the limb once again , however she surely should have been more conscious of it 

She did not notice the princess inching ever closer to her , or perhaps she did . Her mind swirling slightly , partly confused at why she was so close. 

" Is something on milady's mind ? " 

" Have I offended in some way ? "

[Guu]

"No, you haven't offended me."

The princess gave a heavy sigh. She took a silent moment thinking on how to approach this. She was usually really good with words, but now they have lost her. She spent several silent moments trying to find them again, then she gave up.

"Screw it."

She abruptly slid into Mina's lap, she recoiled a bit in suprise.

"Milady? What are you-"

Bonbon's arms wrapped around her neck as she felt her royal lips press against her's.

Her eyes went wide as serving trays , her mouth open to gasp in surprise giving the princess nearly limitless access . She had not anticipated such a bold approach , nor did she seem to be refusing it . In fact she found herself instinctively returning the kiss  , shocking herself with her own actions . Her hand resting on the princess' own , every bit of her screaming at how improper she was being . She was ignoring that voice in her head that was screaming at her though , giving in fully to the intense moment . She was sure her entire upper body was blushing now , she cared not about it . Right now she was kissing the princess , if this were some fantastic dream . She never wished to awake from it .

Bonbon's tongue had long slipped into Mina's mouth, and as she got more comfortable, her tongue joined into, feeling inside each other's mouths. Eventually they wrapped tongues, rubbing between each other in a lock. After a minute, Bonbon slide her tongue out of her mouth and pulled a way, looking Mina in the eyes, both of them blushing and breathing heavily from the excitement.

The look in her big-green-eyes was a mixture of compassionate and lustful, her hot breaths searing the surface of her skin.

"Do you huff want to huff go further?" She inquired.

She grabbed one of Mina's hands, pulling it up and positioning it so the palm is on her right breast. Blushing perfusely.

"Do you want this... I mean, do you want me? All of me? Right now?"

[Eda]

Mina was at a loss for words , however she would respond to the question . If only on instinct alone by pulling the princess as close as she could to her , a simple nod of her head given . Her voice finally finding her after the fact , her next words might define her own future . She knew this well , trying to choose them carefully . 

Her face was red as a beet , her hands moving to the smaller woman's arms . Showing a side of herself she was prior unaware of , she let something slip just then

" I was the one who .. confessed to you not so long ago . The open letter in the dataverse. "


" I have given blood sweat and tears for this kingdom , given all I am for you . It would be an honor to give you someone to call your own , if you would have me " 

[Guu]

What Mina said rang hard in her mind, as it brought her a little bit into reality, only a little bit. She chuckled.

"I'm quite aware of your loyalty to me and my kingdom, and even more so right now! A princess offers up her virginity and you're thinking about my sake?" She called out, laughing hard at the current situation. "If I came onto any of the guys like that, they'd toss me into the bedroom and do a swimming pool dive!"

Mina gave off an awkward laugh, uncertain if she did the right, but then she put a caressing palm onto the side of her face.

"Not that i want any of them. I mean, I tried to convince myself I wanted them but, well..." She said. She looked Mina deep in the eyes. "Ever wondered why I always assigned you to guard my room? Even when you were bottom ranked I had you guard me. It's you that I want, Mina. It's always been you since the moment I saw you."

"Princess..." Mina said in surprise, uncertain how to respond.

She moved in for another kiss, sliding her tongue back in.

[Eda]

Returning the kissed with equal intensity she parted briefly to whisper in return to the princess .

" I am not a man though , I intend to take my time with you . It is my first as well so bear with me , this might very well be a long night , I will make the same offer in true " 

She moved the princess' hand to her own ample chest now , her face red and the kisses trailing to the smaller woman's neck 


" I would give you all of me , just as you would give me all of you "

Mina smiled trailing those little kisses to her shoulder now , trying to hide her smile . However it would likely be impossible to remove it now even with surgery of some kind , she was simply too full of joy to be in this position .

The morning sun spilled through the windows, illuminating the bedroom. On the queen sized bed lay Bonbon and Mina, their bodies bare as they held each other in the middle of the mattress. The sunlight crept along the sheets to hit Mina in the face, causing her to shake awake.

She sighed heavily as memories from the night before flooded in. She couldn’t believe it hadn’t been a dream, that she was still there the next day instead of her room up in the castle. She couldn’t believe the warmth she was feeling was her warmth.

It was a beautiful morning.

However, she looked down at her partner and noticed that she wasn’t smiling. Her face displayed a concerned frown. Immediately, she started to get afraid. Was the princess disappointed by what happened? She broke the embrace and scooched back in the bed. Bonbon shot her a concerned look.

“I’m sorry!” She yelled out. The princess just looked puzzled.

“For what? There’s no need to apologize!”

“You looked concerned and I thought-”

Bonbon moved and kissed her again, this was quick to silence her fears.

“It’s okay, everything's okay. I’m really glad this,” she draped an arm around her taller lover, “this happened. I just had an odd dream last night. I just reminded me of something that happened a long time ago.”

Mina, no longer fearful, was now curious.

“Can you tell me? I mean, if you don’t mind sharing.”

The princess thought for a few seconds before responding.

“Well, I think you’re the first one I’ve told this in the Omniverse, but soon after I was born, my mother was executed.” She said solemnly.

“I’m sorry.” Mina responded, now wishing she hadn’t asked.

“It was a long time ago, I have no memories of her. What she was guilty of was covered up, not even the private records said what she did to deserve death.

“Well anyways, soon after, my dad started legalizing a lot of things, would anger grandpa to no end. He would decriminalize things like sodomy, interracial relationships, legalized a ton of drugs, adultery. It was really controversial at the time from what I heard. Though, despite them being legalized, many of those things were still socially discouraged. Grandpa would grill us everyday about the traditional ways of doing things, he was big on that. ‘Gays are are the root of evil,’ and stuff like that. It really sunk in over the years.

“When I hit puberty, I knew I was different, not just in height but who I was attracted to. I always felt the same way I did for girls that the other girls felt about guys. I couldn’t understand it, why I was cursed with these feelings. I just buried it.

“To make things worse, I had my first crush around that time. She was a pink-haired girl named Julie. She was so beautiful, I could barely speak around her. I just kind of fought those feelings, focused harder on my combat training. Let life go by.

“Julie eventually grew up, she found a man, one she would eventually marry, have children with. I think the day I first learned she was pregnant with the first one was the hardest on me emotionally.

“My dad sensed my dower mood, he was very perspective like that. He took me aside and sat me down, and to my surprise, he revealed he knew how I was. He apparently knew I was into women all that time, I don’t know how he knew, but… well, it was quite the shock. I asked him why he never brought it up before, why he never punished me or scolded me, and what he said next...”

She gave off a heavy sigh.

“He told me… I wasn’t his daughter. At least not biologically”

“You weren’t?” Mina said, shocked by the revelation.

“My mom never loved my dad, even though he loved her. That’s the risk of arranged marriages. She eventually met a man she did love, a hobbit named Daldge.”

“Wait, so, is that why you are-”

Bonbon nodded. Mina’s mouth was ajar.

“I was their love child. It was a crime at the time for a normal person to sleep with a hobbit, it was illegal to commit adultery, so my dad had to put them both to death. He covered it all up so I could still live in the family without hassle.

“Dad told me that killing my mom was the worst thing he had ever done, and he realized that it was tradition’s strict rules that destroyed them. He couldn’t bare to imagine killing any of his daughters, so that’s why he decriminalized so many things back then.

“He told me he didn’t want me to destroy myself to appease him. He told me, ’Bonbon, I want you to be happy, even if it meant being with a woman.’ I admit, his words scared me.”

“Scared you?” Asked Mina.

“Tradition was the backbone of our culture, it’s what held us together, and my dad was outright telling me to defy it, he was telling me that some of it was wrong. If part of it was wrong, maybe any of it was wrong. Tradition was safe, it was secure, I mean, if something thousands of years could be wrong, what chance do we have now? At least that’s what I believed.

“However, last night, after what happened, I had a dream. My dad’s words, echoing in the halls of my mind.”

She looked Mina in the eyes now and smiled.

“I think it’s my dad telling me that last night was right!”

[Eda]

The shock of all of this had hit her rather hard , it was like being near the flood gates when they spilled open . Mina was always overthinking , not wishing to offend . After what happened however , she knew one thing to be true . The princess loved her back , the feelings she had kept hidden were indeed mutual .

" Then perhaps it is time to set those traditions to the side , after all under the laws the way they you are saying . I would be at the end of a noose right now , as would you princess . I know it is difficult to shake those old traditions , but something struck me while you told me of your story . That maybe it's time .. for some new traditions , to let people couple and marry for love. "

" Perhaps a man could even love another man just as a woman could love a woman , though as strange as that may sound. "

She struck a thought away while she focused , the princess' bare form tangled with hers a bit distracting . However she was simply enjoying that far too much , she had almost said something crazy .

" I just thought something , but I don't know how ready they would be for us . I would gladly have stood with you while you amended such laws , but I could see some of the traditional types reaction. "

" It will take time for them to accept all of these new ideas too , but I am willing to make that journey with you " 

[Guu]

“Heh, that was what I was basically thinking. While I’ve never publically supported homosexuality, I’ve never discouraged it. But I think it’s time to take the next step forward in that.” She said, a reassuring smile on her face. “Yeah, some would disagree, and they are free to leave if it bothers them, but I think many in Berry Blitzkrieg were thinking the same thing.”

Mina nodded, glad her words weren’t lost on the princess.

“But that’s when we get back. For now, I have you for three days, let’s just enjoy each other’s company for now.”

She feels up Mina’s breasts.

“Oh wow, you were able to get frisky after that conversation?” Said a surprised Mina.

“Just making up for lost time!”


After fooling around for another hour, the pair finally realized that it was 10 AM and decided they should have something to eat. After getting some clothes on, Bonbon made Mina short stack of waffles.

The sat across from each other at the dining room table. The dining room itself is composed of three large glass windows that make it feel like you are eating outside.

“Let me know what you think of the waffles.” Said the princess as she started to cut some for herself. “Personal recipe, father taught me.”

“Surprised your dad knows how to cook so much, I always figured royalty never needed to cook.” Mina responded, scooping a piece of waffle in her mouth. “Mmmhh!”

“My dad considered having the skills to cook as important as having the skills to fight. I always laughed when he called the wisk a ‘mace.’”

Mina nearly choked on her food as she broke out in laughter.

“So what would you like to do today? We’ve got swimming, hiking, have a ton of games in the basement. What do you feel like doing? I’m open to anything as long as it’s with you!”

[Eda]

She would enjoy any of that so long as the princess was with her , but something else entirely was on her mind as she finished eating . It was something she knew would be just as heavy , but needed addressed .

" All of that is fine so long as I am with you , each and every moment of that will be memorable and enjoyable " 

" There is one last thing biting at me though , the one thing that hurts me the most to think on "

" I won't live forever , and if I fall defending this land . I won't be able to come back from that , those are losses I would not want my beloved bearing . To live for an eternity mourning the fact that I could not come back , would be an unacceptable . I .. might have a way though , others like me have accomplished it before "

" The journey however might take me some time , and even take me away from this kingdom for some time . I would ask your blessing to embark on this journey , so that I might take the chance to be by your side forever "

With that she stood and moved close to the princess once more , a single arm around her . The look Mina gave her was one not of worry or concern though , it was that same confidence she showed in battle . She would not permit herself to die and leave Bonbon alone to grieve her .

" Because I wish to become that lucky girl who remains by your side for eternity , my princess .. no .. I will correct myself .. If we were do do that you would be queen then "

Mina realized just then that would make her too a queen , and there were a few logistical problems with that one she was simply not wise enough to figure out . She ignored that for now , having essentially just proposed to the princess . Making her face red at the thought , her imagination going a bit wild with the idea of Bonbon as a bride and her in a suit of some kind.

Again she knew she could work out how that would look at some later point in time , she held fast to her beloved . Full of hope for the coming days.

Bonbon considered Mina's offer. It was at this moment she realized that maybe all this is happening too fast, but she felt it was a little too late for that.

While she worried what might happen to Mina on her quest, the prospect of her love being a prime like her... never completely dying, always by her side, that was quite a prospect. It was a gamble, one probably worth making.

"Okay, I'll give blessing to your mission on the condition that I at least have you for the rest of this trip. I want to at least share these last few days with you before you leave my side again..."

[Eda]

She nodded holding both of the princess' hands , kissing her gently at first . She decided on what she wanted to do first today , a hand on the smaller woman's back lifting her bridal style . It might be quite the next couple of days indeed , once her doubt and worry had subsided . it seemed like she was as confident as she possibly could be . Carrying her beloved with her while keeping the contact of their lips , her unusual pink irises seeming to shimmer with delight . She let her actions do the talking for a bit longer , holding her beloved princess in her arms.
