That D*** Meddler!

[Kanji Alcimis]

It was dark. A void where land once stood. A dark endless black void that extended infinitely in every direction, no ceiling, and no floor. Yet, around this void, despite the absence of floor, there stood people; the Sages, and the Ancients. All of them. Every last one of them grouped together to stand witness to destruction. Their own destruction. Their own destruction by him. Larin. The Emperor Sage. The Incarnation of Vacuity. The name he went by, mattered not. The only thing that mattered. The only thing that was really important, was that he was powerful. Deadly powerful.


If not for her. If not for the lady in white. Ukei. The Incarnation of Existence. Everyone would have been destroyed.

"Mother..."

A mental flash of white brought Kanji back to his senses as he stared into the depths of the water of the fountain near him. His lilac purple hair-- unkempt in style, dark maroon eyes, and bedraggled appearance stared back at him, looking as if he had been lost in thought. And truthfully? That was exactly what he had been. Lost in thought... The thought of his past. The memories of what had happened.

Just how long had it been? How long had that being... That being who had called itself Omni, kept him here? Was it like time travel from his world where he would be gone only a second if he ever got back? Or did time flow the same, and he would find himself missing eons? Then there was the question... Would he ever even get back? What if he was stuck here forever? What if he never saw the others again? Al, Umi, ... his mother... Would he ever see them again? Would he ever know what happened next? Just when the most important battle of his entire life had been going on! Just when Kanji finally had all the answers of who he was! Just when he had lost his mother ....again....

"Damn you Omni..." Kanji cursed aloud at the thought, his hair falling into his eyes as he continued to stare into the fountain. "DAMN YOU!" He shouted once more, the words much louder this time as he looked at the sky. "I hope you're listening you meddler! Because I swear I'm going to find you and make you tell me how to get back home! Mark my words!"

Kanji then sighed. Too bad that was easier said than done. He may have made the goal. But the method to obtain said goal was still a mystery. This wasn't his world, and therefore he knew nothing about it. Only the few things Omni had told him. Yet Kanji was unsure if he should trust such a being. In his world, types like this Omni seemed to be always turned out to be tricksters, riddlers. Beings that were not always truthful. What if this turned out the same way?

No.. Until Kanji knew more, he couldn't trust anything that Omni had said. He was sure of it. He would just have to figure out the rules to this world on his own. He would have to wander, to find others, and to learn what he could. Only then could he hope to even begin to achieve his goal. 

"Well... What now?" Kanji said to the emptiness around him.

[Ebony]

Ebony looked up from where she was laying near the fountain after her fight with Eda. "Wow, yet another one to show up without warning", she said with a smile. I swear, this is getting to be a busy place lately, though I've only been here a few days, waiting on everyone in the group I arrived with to be ready to go wherever we are going. "I'm Ebony, by the way", the curvaceous drow woman said, ,simply extending a hand after getting to her feet. After her fight with Eda, she simply did not feel like fighting again right away, so she was simply being nice, at least for now.

[Kanji Alcimis]

Kanji immediately jumped from the sudden sound of someone addressing him. His eyes scanning around him for the source of the sound until they settled onto the lady before him. How had he not seen her before? In fact... Now that he was looking around, there were so many others... Had he really been so lost in thought and what to do that he hadn't noticed them? What about his senses? Why didn't he feel them near him? Was he really so much more weaker here than in his own world?

He would just have to figure everything out later. For now, it was best to reply. But with what...? Could this person be trusted?

"I-.." Kanji trailed off as he thought of what to answer the person with. "Kanji. My name is Kanji." He looked up at her. Well.. He may as well get most important question out of the way. "Are you an agent of that Omni guy?!" His eyes met hers and narrowed as he watched her carefully to try to read into her reactions to his accusation.

[Ebony]

"Nope, I got plunked here just like you apparently did", she said with a shrug. "It isn't the first time for me either, apparently higher level beings find some sort of amusement in rifting me all over the Lolth-damned cosmos. I just got done with a fight a while ago though, so don't worry, anything you have heard about drow is false, in this case, as I am not going to get into another fight right away. I simply said hello to be friendly. I know that is hard to imagine, given my race, but it is the truth of the matter. I heard some big powerful thing blabbering on about why I was here, but didn't really know anything, or for that matter, care anything about him".

[Kanji Alcimis]

Was she telling the truth? Kanji couldn't be sure. He didn't know what a Drow was, or what exactly had been heard about them. But he knew what it was like to be looked down upon for your race, so he could relate to what she was saying. Maybe she could be trusted... At least a little. She did say she had been in a battle, that might mean she was dangerous... But for now, Kanji felt like he could at least use her for information.

"Okay then..." Kanji continued to watch her carefully. He really did wish he had his sword, or his magic for protection. But so far, from what he had noticed, Kanji didn't seem to have any of his previous abilities from his world, nor his weapons. They had all been stripped of him. All except his senses. From what he could gather, he could still sense people nearby. At least that kept him safe for if he needed to make a break for it.

"Say I believe you. ... Just where are we? If you were in a fight... How did it happen? And does that mean there are enemies nearby?"

[Eda]

~ Eda piped her thoughts in shaking her head , she looked up at them with a soft cutesy tone ~

" She and I fought actually , no enemies around just yet by the looks "

[Ebony]

"Well, as that Omni guy said, this is the Nexus, the place where we, his newest toys, if you will ,have come for his amusement. I guess ultimately, this is the entry point, the pot we all get dumped into on arrival. Now as for the fight, I assure you it was not because of anyone dangerous, I just saw an opportunity and took it, though it did not pan out quite as I had hoped, it did show that at least my fellow party member in Eda was somewhat capable of defending herself. She pointed to the blade she carried, a grin on her face. "If I were coming to fight you, I would have already drawn and attacked", she said with a grin.

[Kanji Alcimis]

"Toys huh?" Kanji's eyes narrowed further as he glared to the both of them in response.  For a mere ten-year-old, it was a dark glare indeed. "I don't intend to stay the toy of that meddler for long. The sooner I find out more about this world, the sooner I can find him, and force him to send me back! So tell me all that you know!" He then added after a second thoughts pause. After all, it was better not to anger these people. Not when they seem to be able to fight, and he couldn't .  "...please?"

[Eda]

~ She decided to take a seat and watch for now , she could pipe in all she had figured out if any gaps in detail were missed . Though she did not see Omni in the same regard as Ebony ~

[Ebony]

"Yes, to all greater beings, we are nothing more than toys", Ebony explained, ,or perhaps more like chess pieces, to be moved as the greater being wills, and be forced to do what they wish us to do. Many say they give free will, but only withing their laws, their system. It seems like a shit sandwich, to be honest, but it is what we have, and I can say from experience, its what we have, and its the best to simply make as much out of it as is possible", she said with a shrug.

[Kanji Alcimis]

"No way!" Kanji immediately shouted in reply. "You must be joking if you think I'm just going to let myself be controlled! In my world, people were always trying to control my life. Then I got stronger and stronger until they couldn't anymore. All we have to do is get stronger than that guy and show him who's boss! Even people like him can be defeated! Just tell me what you know!" Kanji repeated himself. "Or at least tell me where to go to find out more?"

[Eda]

" I dont think it is that way at all , I was about to die or be horribly disfigured before I arrived here . In my case he saved my life , and I feel I owe a debt to make that up to him . As an entertainer by trade it is my job isn't it , what if there are others like me who have similar stories . Maybe he finds us interesting for his own enjoyment , but maybe it is deeper than that "

[Ebony]

"I have already said what I find to be the truth", Ebony said with a shrug. "Accept it or not, like it or not, at the moment, we all together would be squished like ant ant crawling across the ground, and find ourselves right back here, and that would be from just his mid-level people, let alone something with the power to craft an entire place like this. I have met something like him before, and it is a losing proposition, like him or not, to try to fight him, or force him to do anything. Hence, why I said to simply gain our power, and make something of ourselves here, because it is unlikely we will ever return to our original homes, only the possibility of being grabbed by something on Omni's level or above exists now".

[Asriel Dreemurr]

"I agree with the young scavenger with the purple hair." Glory concurred, "I am not this Omni's puppet! I have to go home as soon as possible. My kingdom must be in total chaos without me.

"Let us introduce ourselves, so there'll be no more confusion. My name is Glory. Some of you have heard this multiple times before, but I am a RainWing, a type of dragon. I am queen of the Rainforest Kingdom. Then Omni kidnapped me.

"I do not think you heard me, Jupiter. So I'll ask again. Is this Tangled Green a rainforest? Because I would prefer to go there because I'm quite experienced with rainforests."

[Ebony]

"I am not a puppet of this Omni guy, either, Glory", Ebony said with a shrug, "but at the same time I am a realist, and have been through this kind of thing before. I was once the head interrogator for the Baenre house of the drow, serving my Goddess Lolth, and was quite good at it, being able to keep my subjects alive for months with no magical aid, and get whatever answer was needed for my people. Then some angel rifted me to where he was setting up a universe of his own, a place where the queen of the drow seemed almost to be a push-over until you got to know her, a Queen who had determined me to be her successor, even though she knew I was of a much different mind, and now I am here. And as for your question about the Tangled Green area, I have no clue, as i have only been here since I arrived".

[Eda]

" Considering everything that has already happened and all of the new arrivals . I suppose each of us getting to know the other might be a good plan , some of us are already acquainted though . Since ebony has told her story perhaps our other friend and miss glory should share theirs . Then once that is resolved I will share my own , letting us all know the others dreams and motivations is an important thing ya know ? "

[Kanji Alcimis]

It had only been a few minutes, and now there were three people around Kanji. All females. Or at least, they appeared to be female. One professed to be a dragon which somewhat surprised Kanji. All the dragons Kanji had known from his world were not sentient. Was it because this one appeared to be human? Either way, dragon or not, this girl seemed to be the only one with any sense in the group. She didn't want to be a toy of this meddler either.

Kanji was just about to agree with the dragon when the matter of introductions was brought up by one of the others. Dreams and motivations? When it came down to it, Kanji didn't really have any. Most of his life had been just trying to stay alive and help his friends. He never really thought of anything other than short term goals. As for his past... Should he really share it with these people? Maybe just the basics...

"As I said.. My name is Kanji. Kanji Seij--" Kanji paused. No.. That wasn't right. He wasn't Kanji Seijin anymore. That had turned out to be a lie. His real last name... the name of that man... The teacher that had always been out to kill him... "Kanji Alcimis. My mother was an Ancient, and my father... ..a Sage. In my world, the Ancients and the Sages were two races that didn't get along and destroyed one another. I've been running and fighting my entire life. I've been hated and killed many times now, but always coming back. It was when I finally was accepted and had friends, when I finally knew everything about myself, and my Universe accepted both races, that that meddler kidnapped me!"

With a glare Kanji continued, "There was a battle between the Emperor Sage and my ...mother, and what they truly were... The last part of the battle my mother ended up sacrificing herself to save my universe, and before I knew what had happened.. Before I could try to stop her.. I found myself here! Here before that cad! That's why I have to find him, beat him, and go home!"

[Asriel Dreemurr]

Glory only wanted to give the basics of her past to these people, due to not wanting to sit down all day talking about it.

"My home, the continent of Pyrrhia, was locked in a war. A prophecy said that five dragonets, a MudWing, a SkyWing, a SeaWing, a NightWing, and a SandWing, would stop the war when it has raged for 20 years. The Talons of Peace, an anti-war movement, decided to take responsibility for this prophecy and stole some eggs which fulfilled the requirements, the prophecy set.

"There were some complications. The SkyWing egg was killed and I was the replacement.

"For six years, I was forced to stay inside a cave by the Talons being trained. No going outside. Period.

"However, there were some pros to this lifestyle. Mainly the other dragonets of destiny who became my friends, Clay, the MudWing, Tsunami, the SeaWing, Starflight, the NightWing, and Sunny, the SandWing. Well, we discovered later that Sunny was a SandWing/NightWing hybrid.

"We decided to escape two years before the prophecy said we should stop the war. Because Morrowseer, this NightWing who created the prophecy wanted to have me killed due to me not being the prophetic SkyWing.

"After that, we went far and wide and eventually, due to a series of strange events I'd rather not talk about right now, I became the queen of the RainWings.

"I just want to clear one thing up. I am only seven years old. You scavengers age faster than us before you're full grown. So, seven dragon years old is equivalent to 13 scavenger years."
