Introductory Manipulations

The nexus was a central land that no one faction controlled.  But whoever controlled it could potentially control all the primes,  and eliminate them. The clone troopers and the Camelot soldiers who daily waged war here were proof of that matter.  It was a minor hassle in the grand scheme and barely worth the time of Warren. Given that he’d set up a base of operations his net plan was to head to the world of Camelot. There he would follow up on learning the ability of ‘magic’  so he could add it to his arsenal.  New powers would need to be picked up by him but it was something he believed that would be definitely worth it. 

Truthfully what he needed was something more powerful. Sure he could cut his opponents down to size with his sword but it couldn’t be the only item in his bag of tricks. Right now he couldn’t afford it being his only power because he’d need something more than that. Defending his home of Fort Zimmer would rquire nothing more than more power for himself.  This meant his level of strength was definitely going to need to increase,  so he’d have to learn more about the Omnilium.



One of the emotions he’d experienced when he’d been outgunned and outmatched by the clones was genuine fear.  It was not an emotion Warren LIKED to experience. For one of the actual few times,  he’d been afraid for his life. Unlike his battles with the Guardians,  he knew the clones wouldn’t hold back and spare his life. They would probably try to end his life at some point which in his opinion was unacceptable.  If he was to survive he would need more than simply just the power he possessed due to his technology.  Allies would be a big help if he was in any fashion to survive and that meant he’d need to acquire them.

When a civilian approached him,   a regular boy and started pestering him about what was bugging him Warren’s hand shot out and he grabbed the boy by the neck before throwing him a good distance away.  His mood was not a good one right now. . For he was furious,  and also afraid which was not a good combination to say the least.  The civilian was lucky in that he ended up on a couch that Warren had the haste to make out of Omnilium.

There had to be some idiots that could be persuaded with some effort on his part to help him acquire some real power. One of the light-sabers from Coruscant for example,  would be a really useful addition to his arsenal. A real one,  not the fake thing he’d made would be preferable to be honest,  because he’d need such in order to make himself stronger.  Yet he’d have to build it on his own likely on another world… as he didn’t want anything to deal with the clones.  Once burned,  twice shy. In that regard Warren supposed.   This was why Warren was by the Fountain in the Nexus,  to see if he could find anyone he could easily con into doing his dirty work for him and culling the population of the clones on Coruscant.

Walker woke up next to a fountain, a beautiful one, gold and white, with shining water flowing in it. Overcome with the beauty of the fountain, he almost forgot his current situation. But as soon as he looked around, he remembered. That god, the "Omni" had brought him here. He knew that many that had come would be angry, or scared, perhaps even depressed. Saint Walker, oddly was not. This world was not bad to him, merely.... different. This was mostly due to his underlying optimism. Of course, this was not always good. It was merely who he was. It was one of the main reasons he was chosen to be a Blue Lantern. He knew that soon he would need to find out more about this world, but for now, he drifted off into a deep sleep......

Bro'dee awoke to a shock, with a small child screaming as he plummeted through the air. Walker jumped to his feet, and ran, groggy as he was, he had to save the kid. He managed to get over, and quickly grabbed him to save him. He held out his arms, and caught the child just before he hit the ground.
"Are you alright?" He quickly said.
"Y... Yes. Th... thank you sir!"
"Yes, now please, go home. I imagine whoever looks after you must be very scared."
"Y... Yes sir!" The kid responded.
Walker then decided to try and fly up, in order to get a better view of the fountain, and what the first part of this strange new world was like. He jumped up and held up his ring as he usually would do to fly, preparing himself, getting ready to soar..... and he fell. He fell on the ground, straight on his arm. This caused quite a few people to look over, one even came over and asked him to stop with the ruckus. Walker was confused, so he decided to try some more of his abilities.

To start, he decided to try shooting out a blast of energy. He aimed at a spot on the ground, relatively far away from any other humanoids. He extended his arm, concentrated, and shot out a large blast. It worked, leaving a somewhat large hole in the ground. Next he decided to try healing himself, so he shot himself with a basic blast, then waved his hand over, and almost immediately it healed. He next tried a shield, holding his hand out and imagining the shield forming, but it did not. As such, he realized he could not do that. He continued with this for a few minutes, learning what he could and could not do with his ring.He soon walked over to the crowd, in order to find someone who was willing to help him. Someone would, of course!

Warren  Zimmer was not in the best of moods.  Of course knowing that Ricky had probably left his base undefended meant that he wasn't going to be in a good mood presently. While it may be true he had ordered Ricky to try to infiltrate the Empire as he wasn't going to interact with those asshats anymore than he had to Warren still didn't like it when his base was left unattended.  What he needed to do was eventually recruit some sort of posse and make the clones who had made him do all that cleaning pay... somehow.  His exhaustion during that situation was not something he'd particularly loved to be completely honest.  "Damn Imperial Storm Troopers..."   Warren said this as he walked from the gate in the Tangled Green towards where the Fountain was.  But a detour caused him to accidentally bump into Saint Walker.  Great.  Another Prime.  Hopefully this prime wouldn't be as irritating as either the child or the clone troopers.  An idea donned on Warren.  Perhaps he could manipulate the prime into doing his dirty work for him. Yes. The prime did look like he could battle and that made all the difference in the world.   "Hello.  I'm Warren Zimmer. I couldn't help but notice you must be new here.  By any chance would you be looking for some help to learn how to use your abilities?" 

This was a calculated risk on the part of Warren Zimmer.  By doing this he'd have the individual he needed in order to make a minion who could hold their own.  Ricky was weak,   Warren knew that much.  And when Ricky found out that Warren didn't have his friends well a battle between them was the most likely conclusion or Ricky seeking out the Empire and joining up with them.  Neither of those were particularly good options that Warren liked but they would happen no matter what he did... unless he killed Ricky somehow.   But Primes couldn't be killed.  Perhaps he could find a way to seal Ricky away somehow or other.  In any case he needed to try manipulating this individual into doing his bidding.  An added minion could never hurt.

"So would you be up for someone to train you? I  could try my best even though our abilities are dissimilar."     Warren thought to himself.  And if it came down to it,  I could learn what I needed to in order to bring you down as you look like the heroic type.  Warren was not going to underestimate any potential heroes he encountered.  It was a mistake that he didn't want to repeat. He'd underestimated the Guardians of his world in the past, something he was not too keen on doing now.

"Oh, yes, I am, quite unsure of how this world works. Even some of the abilities I had in my world are gone." Walker replied "So, this world has different laws of physics than our worlds correct?"

Walker knew this may not work, but it was worth a shot. It seemed this man had been here for quite a while, and he may understand the strange laws of this world. Of course it was a long shot, the world seemed like something no one could crack, even people who had been here for a long time. He decided to try and ask, as he may know, no matter how low the possibility.

"Yes.  I'm beginning to grasp how this world works,  having been here for a while."   Warren smiled and materialized a purple and black orb of Omnilium that had hints of gray and was shining. "As Omni said this is Omnilium.  It's the thing that makes EVERYTHING in this world work. You need it in order to do... well anything at this point.  Without it you're next to powerless.  The more you 'amuse' Omni whatever that means the more you're capable of earning. Though personally I'm planning some tasks of my own.   In any case now you know about Omnilium. You need somewhere to stay? If you're willing to do some work for me you could stay at Fort Zimmer.  It's a base I acquired here by spending a good chunk of Omnilium."

"I do need a residence. Thank you for your hospitality, I definetly shall go with you, I am sure I can give you some help. My ring isn't as powerful as in my world, but it is still useful. Thank you, I'm sure I can be of use."

The power the individual had came from an external source.  This reminded Warren of the NFL-R he wore that gave him his suit and powers. But it was clearly more advanced to be able to store all that circuitry inside a ring. This... warranted studying the technology.   "Your ring is a very interesting piece of science.  In all my journeys I've never come across anything like it.  How does it work?"  If Warren could learn how the ring worked perhaps he could make one in his own colors that used a different power source.  It wasn't stealing if you improved upon the weapon of someone else and made it your own. Besides that Warren would be happy to have a new toy in his arsenal.   "Does it have any weaknesses?"

"Well my ring.... is not a traditional piece of machinery," Walker responded "It is powered solely from the emotional power of my Hope, and cannot operate if I don't keep Hope in my heart. That being said, the only weaknesses are what it cannot do, of course excluding that I need Hope. There were other types of rings in my world, each powered by a different emotion. Like Rage, Love, Greed, and many others. You may have met another one from there with a ring like that."

Rings that were fueled by the power of emotion?  This was something that Warren hadn't expected.  It was a total shock for a moment. "Gu..."  For a moment he was frozen as a realization donned on him. Even though he hadn't encountered the ring(s) of the other emotions,  one could potentially be a power up that he was looking for.  Beneath the helmet of the armor he was wearing Warren began to hatch a scheme.  "I haven't met anyone with a ring as advanced as yours.  I'd love to dissect your ring,  and learn how it works."   This was so he could make his own power ring that ran off of Hatred and Fear.  For Warren both hated and feared the empire a combination that would augment each other and make him able to fight them.   "Hrm.  So what combat wise do you know?"

"Well, most of my combat abilities come from my ring. But I do have rather good knowledge of martial arts, and if need be I can jump rather high to avoid attacks. You could try to look into my ring, but from what I have seen, the actual technological part is limited, but it could be added onto perhaps. Maybe you could add something used here that would work inside?"

"Yes actually.  With some studies of the ring and the device you want me to add I could indeed do that."   Warren planned on analyzing the ring and eventually somehow building his own that was a mix of Fear and Hatred.  But he couldn't do it just yet.   "So from studying your ring,  one could design weapons that ran off of different emotions?"  Developing the technology interested Warren. It would certainly allow him his REVENGE on those accursed clones that ran amuck and made his life hell on Coruscant. It was one of the reasons he was not returning to that world.. just yet.

"There is a possibility. Though it would require intensive study, and an incredibly strong emotional drive. You were thinking of making one?" Walker asked. Of course he was slightly worried, if he were to choose a negative emotion like Rage, it could severely affect the emotional spectrum. "It would be a long and strenuous task, be wary if you try."

"Actually yes.  You've mentioned Rage and Fear. Well both of them fit an emotion I have towards a group of individuals who are a bit too big for their britches and reside on the world of Coruscant. I would not recommend visiting that world until you are much stronger." 

This was said by Warren because he didn't intend on visiting that world for a while. Before he could even CONSIDER going back to that world he was going to regain his strength and then make those clones pay with their last breath. Their tortured screams would pass the time that he had wasted cleaning up their vehicles. Some of them had come and made the vehicles even filthier while he'd been cleaning.  Eventually he had gotten done but he'd been so tired,  he'd been about ready to drop to be honest.   Coruscant was the place to avoid... and Warren would avoid it for now. 

"So any ideas where you're headed?"

This is bad  Walker thought to himself These negative emotions can only lead him down the path to failure. No matter, I will influence him away from it. Walker tried to run over in his head how he could nudge Warren in the right direction. Perhaps he could subtly talk about the advantages of Hope, perhaps. Or in a similar manner, about the disadvantages of Rage. But of course he would have to wait, it would take a long time to cleanse his heart of the rage.

"No, not quite yet. I was thinking of just going with you, if you were willing to take me in and help." Walker replied. Of course he needed a home, and this man seemed friendly enough. "Say, out of curiousity, why do you recommend avoiding Coruscant?"

"Well... you see I had the misfortune of running into the local law enforcement. They don't take well to you building anything without going through pointless and frustrating amounts of red tape...."   Warren would hold out his hand for about fifteen seconds or so and the chaotic energy katana materialized in his hand. "They arrested me and made me clean vehicles... during which some of the Storm Troopers threw dirt and grime onto the vehicles,  while others beat me up. By the time I finished,  I was completely exhausted. It also taught me a valuable lesson about those ASSHOLES..." stated Warren. "Namely that I hate their guts!" 

Warren scowled as he looked at Saint Walker.   "The first prototype of this sword was destroyed by them. I'll be working more on the blade.. later. Trying to turn it into an actual energy blade for myself. Looks like I'll have to make one of those rings... somehow. Trial and error on my own would probably be best... at Fort Zimmer."

"Wait, what is Fort Zimmer?" Walker asked. It appeared as though this was some form of base of operations for this man, which brought a great sense of relief to Waker. If he had a base, it would provide a sanctum that Walker could train, learn, and in general understand this world better. Perhaps if it was a base, it may have more material Walker could use. This, was an excellent turn of events.

"A recently built castle in the Tangled Green. You'll only be staying there until you have somewhere else,  and I've learned enough about your ring to make one of my own filled with the power of hatred and fear....."    Warren paused for a moment.     "Of course that is neither here nor there at the moment. "   Warren scowled as he looked at Saint Walker for a moment. The blue he wore reminded him of the Guardians of his world... heroes who had humiliated and defeated Warren multiple times.   "We should probably head to Camelot or to the Tangled Green. Camelot would be best as there I could learn 'magic'  and use it for myself the next time I get an unwanted guest."

"Tangled Green? And Camelot? I thought Camelot was a myth" Walker said. This quite confused him, but the idea of magic was intriguing. It could help the Blue Lantern cause, and make him able to do many more things than what he could do with his ring alone.

"Yes.. there should be magic there if my theories about the world are actually correct.  The Tangled Green has Fort Zimmer. Eventually though I will need to build another base... one per verse so that I have my hands in all of them so to speak."    Warren would pause for a moment.  Magic would be a powerful asset if he could learn how to master it.  Enchanted weapons would be even more useful than magic. If the myths about Excalibur were true or any of the other legendary blades he was going to make sure they were in his possession.   "We should begin our trek to the world of Camelot. There I have some training to do.  If I'm going to learn their 'magic'  and make it my own so that I can defend my home..... I've got a lot of work that needs to be done soon."

"Verses? Is that what you call the universes here? Say, would you mind explaining what these verses are?"

Walker was excited by the prospect of new universes. No matter how many there were, that would mean more worlds to explore, more things to do, more places to spread Hope. This would be absolutely wonderful.
