GG: but what was your old world like?? or your old universe???? :o
GG: well, that was probably bad phrasing on my part, uhm
GG: i cant really come up with anything else to say though
GG: and the description on the bounty board was very vague about what you are actually like!!!
GG: but i would like to know more about you, and i thought that would be a good place to start!! c:
GG: i mean, if you would want to talk about anything like that
GG: im sure youre very busy and dont have much time to do this but

PP: Hello gardenGnostic.
PP: I should clarify, you should never feel reluctant to contact me. Wounded emotions are fleeting and unity is more important than pride driven grudges.
PP: Your question is slightly perplexing for me to answer, as you might say I had an objective view of my home world.
PP: At any rate, it was commonly referred to as The Multiverse.
PP: The name was slightly misleading; even though The Multiverse had many different layers of reality, it was still a self contained system.
PP: I suppose, from a human perspective, it could reliably be called 'dangerous'.
PP: Even more so than this Omniverse.
PP: Magic and Technology were constantly at war with one another, though again, from my perspective, they are one in the same.
PP: Spread across the Multiverse, there were many thousands of planets, each with its own strifes and wars.
PP: The planet where I spent a majority of my time was known as Terra. Since coming to the Omniverse, I find it interesting that this name occurs fairly frequently across different universes.
PP: Regardless, Terra was the most violent, and important, place in all of that universe.
PP: More than once, I witnessed the entire planet destroyed and rebuilt.
PP: I witnessed Heaven being torn apart and combined with Hell.
PP: But most importantly, I witnessed humanity.
PP: Your species is by far carries more potential than any other, and at the same time, hampers itself with unnecessary restrictions.
PP: But I suppose that is a matter of perspective.
PP: Beneath all of this, there was a collective mental force called The Zeitgeist.
PP: Are you familiar with the term.
PP: It means 'Spirit of the Times'. It is the underlying river of emotion and thought that defines the collective ethos of all sentient beings.
PP: Before I was taken from the Multiverse, The Zeitgeist was growing ill, for lack of a better term.
PP: The collective lives and sentience of the universe was stagnating, endlessly looping on itself, unable to progress, regress, mutate or diverge in any way.
PP: As an Enigma, which I suppose you could say is my true 'title', it was my duty to try and inspire change and ambition in the Multiverse.
PP: Brute force tactics didn't work; you cannot force a universe to bend a certain way.
PP: It must be slowly molded, via subtle maneuvers and, admittedly, manipulations to encourage it to change shape.
PP: Over time, however, the stagnation of The Multiverse grew to be too much. Neither myself, The Master, or my compatriots could rejuvenate the spark of the Zeitgeist, and so, the Multiverse began to petrify.
PP: Here and there, it was visible, though perhaps only to those with an objective perspective such as myself.
PP: Small places here and there where time and space no longer bent or flowed.
PP: It is an exponential process. The more stagnant The Multiverse became, the more quickly it became paralyzed, unable to advance.
PP: As such, it fell to me to be the one to end The Multiverse before it completely sank into the grip of endless mailaise, so that another could take its place.
PP: Perhaps this would cause some to see me as a villainous force, but may I pose a question.
PP: Would you rather see a loved one turned to stone for eternity, or lovingly laid to rest.
PP: I was taken before even the planning stages were being completed.
PP: My hypothesis is that we all continue to exist in our homeworlds.
PP: But if that is not the case, and I am truly gone from The Multiverse, then The Smiling One has doomed an entire group of infinite realities to slowly crawl to a stop and remain stuck there.
PP: I can relate to few human emotions, but I do worry about what the truth might be.
PP: As to what I am actually like.
PP: My original state of being in The Multiverse was without form.
PP: I suppose one might use the term 'god' to describe me, but I feel that indicates someone who seeks to be worshipped.
PP: I was infinite, and my power over the physical Multiverse was absolute.
PP: Here, in the Omniverse, I am barely a shadow of that original form.
PP: Perhaps that is why my infinite being was reduced to a black, humanoid shape.
PP: I also bear an Enigma's Eye, which is a third eye located beneath my right ocular.
PP: It indicates someone as an Enigma, and is usually tattooed into the flesh of their original body.
PP: I suppose it is slightly ironic that an artifact of my time as a human has been returned to me, upon inhabiting a mortal form once more.
PP: But I no more dwell on my orignal form as does a chicken dwell on the egg from which it hatched.

GG: your world sounds a lot more interesting than mine, although it’s a shame that some parts of it started to go down the drain
GG: it seems to me that you did all that you could to give it a painless death, i mean, before you were brought here :(
GG: i really hope that your theory about there being alternate versions of ourselves left behind is correct, because i know that i was supposed to accomplish a lot for my friends and our new universe
GG: although, i guess they could be doing mostly fine without me, to be perfectly honest!
GG: i was never really as cool as dave, or as smart as rose, or even as good with people as john!!
GG: im sure they will do fine, especially since they have ascended
GG: but, wow, what is there to say about me?? i hope i dont bore you with my lameness
GG: i guess you could say that i started out on a pretty ordinary blue and green little marble of a planet called earth!
GG: there were always many disagreements over how it was created, but honestly i couldnt say how it came to be
GG: looking back on it all, most of it seems sort of insignificant!!
GG: anyways, i lived on an island with my grandpa and my dog bec!! :)
GG: my grandpa had scoured the whole globe for the perfect place to raise me, and this lovely green speck in the pacific ocean was where he decided to build up our home!!!
GG: unfortunately, grandpa died when i was very young :(
GG: i found out later that it was a troll that killed him, although it was a huge cultural mistake on their part
GG: they thought that bec was my guardian and that my grandpa was seeking to hurt me, but that wasnt the case at all!!
GG: still, it ended up with him dead and me having to fend for myself for a very long time
GG: i was kind of lonely sometimes
GG: of course, i had bec with me, and he is such a good dog!!! :)
GG: well, he isnt exactly a dog, per se
GG: hes a first guardian, which is a little different
GG: he doesnt have much of a face, for one!! no eyes at all, and his tongue is all glowy and green
GG: he could also warp space at will, and wouldnt let me set foot outside of the tower without his say so first!! or until i bribed him with an irradiated steak, lol
GG: my friends actually didnt believe me for the longest time when i told them that i lived alone on an island with just good old bec for company, but i guess thats a thing you can expect when you have never met someone in person before!!!
GG: doubt, that is
GG: we all met each other online, and it turns out john was my ectobiological brother!! c:
GG: the day we actually first played the game, sburb, was his birthday
GG: oh!! wait!!!
GG: i forgot to mention something very important before i launch into the neatest and also the saddest part of my story, which is basically all of it
GG: there are some things that ive mentioned to you before in my memo, like prospit, that really influenced me when i was growing up!
GG: unlike all of my other friends before we played the game, i would dream on the moon prospit
GG: i would fall asleep in the waking world and find myself in a beautiful golden city with a lovely orb of blue cloudland in the sky!!
GG: i didnt really understand what i was seeing then, because i was still pretty little, but that special orb was called skaia
GG: sometimes, the moon would pass through skaia in an eclipse, and i would see all sorts of fantastical images flitting through the clouds!!!
GG: some were of the past, and others were of events that were yet to come!!! :o
GG: there was also a bunch of stuff involving my friends shown in skaias clouds, so later on i was able to tell my friends what would happen to them upon entering the game!!
GG: well, some of the things that would happen to them, anyways
GG: plus, i found another john sleeping in a tower on prospit, one that looked just like the one that i always woke up in while dreaming there!!
GG: well, it was the same john, but a different body :p
GG: he just wouldnt wake up :/
GG: anyways, on my brothers birthday, we played this game called sburb
GG: i didnt really want to play, because video games arent exactly my forte, but i would never pass up a chance to have fun with my friends!!!
GG: so, we played this game, and suddenly there were meteors hurtling towards the earth!!!!
GG: dozens!!!! hundreds!!!!
GG: apparently sburb had some major world-altering capabilities that we hadnt exactly anticipated, and there were people all over the world running this disc on their computers!
GG: it was really difficult, because i was supposed to help my friend dave enter this place called the medium before a meteor hit his house, but i kept falling asleep!!!
GG: i had already spent a lot of my life dreaming on prospit and going around in my pretty golden pajamas, and i had made a lot of wonderful friends there, but it was super inconvenient when trying to save my friend from a bunch of dastardly meteors!!!
GG: and then, this horrible demon called jack noir sliced through the chain that connected prospit to its moon, and suddenly my brother was falling out of his tower!! i had to save him, and so i tried to fly after him as the moon fell towards skaia
GG: unfortunately, my dream self died in the fall, but john survived and was later able to wake up safely!
GG: after that, whenever i would sleep, i would wake up in the furthest ring, so i… tried not to sleep for as long as possible after that
GG: and karkat and a few of the other trolls were trolling me all the time and bickering with me while i was trying to figure out how to enter the game
GG: and soon enough, i did!! :) with becs help, anyways
GG: he blew up a meteor, which was pretty cool, and made himself into my guide!! a becsprite, if you will
GG: it was kind of tough for me to speak with him, though, because he basically blasted a whole bunch of green static into my brain, but he sure was good at annihilating those uranium imps skulking about my planet!!!
GG: oh!! by the way!!!!
GG: my planet was called lofaf, or the land of frost and frogs
GG: it was super beautiful, with snow on the ground and these cute purple hummingbirds flitting around!!
GG: there were even the prettiest red flowers, phh, it was so amazing!!! and all of the frogs were frozen solid, too
GG: i learned later on that all space players have frogs on their planets, to help with the creation of a new universe!!!
GG: one of these frogs was supposed to be the one that would actually BECOME a new universe, one day, if i managed to complete my frog breeding duties
GG: then, i would be able to cultivate a new universe for all sorts of new humans to grow up in!! or any other species, i suppose!! c:
GG: unfortunately, and i guess ill be saying that a lot, i only had a very short time frame in which to do this!!!
GG: it was a good thing my friend dave was a time player, though!! he helped me set up a bunch of cool equipment and miscellaneous gadgetry to help me in my quest
GG: i also had prototyped becsprite with the stuffed body of my dead dream self, but when jadesprite came to life she was very distraught!!!
GG: we got into a big argument about the fate of our session, but she was pretty much inconsolable! apparently she was very happy when she was dead because she was able to hang around with all of these other people in some dream bubble or afterlife
GG: and i just got so mad at her!! how could she not understand that she had to help me with this and that this was the most important thing?????????
GG: i wanted her to fight jack noir with her first guardian powers!! but she was totally devastated about being taken away from her ideal afterlife, and i couldnt sway her over to my side
GG: which is fair, i guess!! even though it really sucked at the time
GG: she just boohooed right out of the side of my tower, and went to throw a tantrum on skaias battlefield :/
GG: and then karkat started messaging me and started saying hmmmmmmmmmm a lot
GG: which was very annoying
GG: but we talked about it and it turns out that i was being kind of dumb about jadesprite, because i had basically been getting mad at karkat for doing the same thing with his past and future selves
GG: getting irate at his past self, i mean
GG: she was just acting so totally useless, though???? i think me being upset was mostly justified
GG: well, maybe not, but still! :/
GG: but, things actually started looking up after that!!!
GG: i met this nice troll over pesterchum named kanaya, she was another space player!!!
GG: she was very knowledgeable about all the things that i would need to do to stoke the forge, but she seemed kind of preoccupied about something that was wrong with my friend rose
GG: she told me to start messaging rose about it, and so i did!! but she stopped responding kind of abruptly after a while, so i was very worried
GG: she had been doing most of the planning for our session, actually!! i already told you that she was smart, but when i say smart i mean VERY smart!!!!
GG: although, maybe she was a little too smart for her own good
GG: she was very good about communing with the furthest ring, but it was kind of a bad deal that resulted in her pretty much going off the deep end in every way
GG: anyways, kanaya told me that it was pretty much impossible for me to complete my frog breeding duties, but i didnt want to give up yet!!
GG: even if my session was doomed, i was prepared to do everything in my power to bring it to fruition!
GG: dave and i started working together on my frog breeding mission, even though jack noir was still on the rise
GG: i had seen a dead dave earlier, but dave assured me that it wouldnt be him and that the dave i had seen was a negative result of excessive time shenanigans
GG: but
GG: well
GG: jack arrived on my planet and attacked dave and i!! D:
GG: although for some reason, he wouldnt hurt me
GG: i guess it was because he had inherited the powers of all of our sprites, and he had unknowingly absorbed some part of becs personality and past loyalties
GG: we were actually doing pretty well for a while there!! i was doing my space thing and shooting dozens of bullets at jack and dave had several time copies of himself running around to try and find a loophole to best jack through
GG: and then i uhm…
GG: i accidentally shot dave, when trying to hit jack
GG: he did this teleportation thing and the bullets just kind of… traveled right through and got to dave
GG: and it was just really awful, he had all of these bullet holes ripped through him and i didnt mean to but
GG: it was all my fault
GG: even jacks increase in power was my fault, because of becs prototyping
GG: after that happened, i knew i really had to kick it into gear
GG: even though i was feeling really down and depressed and i was freezing my ass off in my fancy dress
GG: so i kissed daves corpse to wake up his dream self on derse, which is kind of the opposite of prospit
GG: and then i continued to try and find the final frog to create my universe frog with
GG: but i just couldnt find it and jack was following me around like an especially annoying lost puppy!!! :(
GG: eventually i had to consult my denizen, echidna, in her cave
GG: shes like this giant snake beast with hundreds of quills made of ice covering her body
GG: in return for revealing the location of the last frog that i needed to complete my quest, echidna made me promise to bring all of the planets of our medium into the new session we were angling for
GG: i honestly wasnt sure of how i could accomplish that, at the time!!
GG: i mean, i was only human, still kind of am now
GG: it seemed like an unattainable goal!! but, i still promised to do it, because i really needed that frog
GG: all of my friends were pretty disorganized at this point, with rose gone awol and john off looking for his dad :/
GG: and that doesnt even begin to describe how chaotic the trolls were!! honestly, kanaya and karkat were a real help through all of that mess
GG: but then i died
GG: it was kind of unclear, because i didnt know it was going to happen, but some kind of bomb was dropped near me and i was killed in the explosion
GG: then, someone… i think jack???? moved me to my quest bed, and from there i ascended into godhood!!!
GG: i guess you could say that my own true title is the witch of space! as my aspect was one of creation, i was going to be pretty nifty with the stars and stuff, but space also means altering the size of and the distance between objects
GG: basically, i could shrink an enormous planet down so that it could fit into palm of my hand, or i could expand a tiny window until it was big enough to allow a whole battleship to tear through it!! the possibilities were practically endless!!!
GG: which brings this whole narrative thingamabob into what i look like!!! :)
GG: i basically merged with jadesprite during my ascension into god tiers, so because she had been prototyped along with my dog bec i gained some fuzzy white dog ears!!
GG: this is really the only inhuman part of my appearance, i guess, because no other parts of my biology were altered during that process
GG: and my god tier pajamas were really pretty!! im wearing them right now, actually, and theyre all dark and colored like a pretty star-stippled sky!!! :)
GG: i guess that could also count as an inhuman trait, because there are actually stars swirling in my dress and sometimes i think i can see a few stuck in my hair, but other than that im mostly human!!
GG: so, after gaining all of my awesome space powers and some pretty pajamas, i picked up a golden prospitian battleship, gathered up all of the planets and my brother john, and then rocketed us through the panel of a fenestrated wall towards our new session!!!
GG: i calculated that it would take us roughly three years to reach the place where our other friends were going to be, though, and so i gave john the option to leave and go stay with them
GG: surely it would have been a lot more fun hanging out with rose and dave than boring old me!!
GG: still, i appreciated that he wanted to stay with me during our long journey
GG: also!!! there was an alternate dave named davesprite who came with us onto the ship
GG: jadesprite had met up with him, but now that i was the only jade we could talk more!! :)
GG: he was just as cool as the other dave, but he….
GG: he had some troubles
GG: i think he felt really inadequate all the time, as if he werent the real dave??
GG: which was ridiculous! there were just two daves, completely separate people with different lives
GG: and well
GG: i dont know
GG: it was just awkward and we dated for a little while and then we broke up
GG: and john just had all KINDS of problems
GG: but this one time, shortly after beginning our journey on the battleship, john and davesprite wanted to visit lowas!
GG: lowas is johns planet, the land of wind and shade, and it has these pretty blue glowy mushrooms on it and a bunch of funny salamander inhabitants
GG: it is also slick with oil which is kind of gross, but johns house is there so they wanted to visit it
GG: so i shrank them down so that they could walk around on the planets surface, because i had the planets still shrunken down to the size of baseballs
GG: and then, while i was just sitting there watching, totally unaware of any danger, the planet blew up!!
GG: just, bang!
GG: and all i could do was try and pick up the pieces, but that was ridiculous because it was obvious that john and davesprite were dead :(
GG: i mean, its kind of difficult to survive a planet-wide explosion!!
GG: and without john and davesprite, i was left totally alone for a three year long journey ://
GG: okay, not totally alone, i still had some carapacians and consorts and nannasprite and jaspersprite to talk to, but…. it still wasnt great
GG: i had been looking forward to three years to hang out with my good friend john and then he was taken away from me, just like that :/
GG: sburb is pretty cruel, in that way
GG: anyways, i wasnt really doing much on the battleship when i was brought here
GG: most of the time i would just sit out on the deck and watch as these funny green lights zigzagged past while the ship went along at light speed
GG: and there wasnt much to eat but cake, so that was kind of a letdown
GG: i didnt really have much to look forward to
GG: for a long time i was very sad, actually
GG: but its kind of funny, how things work out, because im now able to interact with so many people again!! :)
GG: although i still worry about the planets trapped in my sylladex and of course my friends
GG: how will rose and dave learn about what happened to john and davesprite??? is there an alternate timeline somewhere in which im still there and able to help them???? that kind of knowledge would be great to have right now
GG: i do hope that our old worlds are doing alright without us, though :/
GG: but besides that, i think there is still a lot we can do to improve this place!
GG: even if the guy running it reminds me a lot of a certain smug cue ball
GG: hmmmm
GG: did you at least have any friends in the multiverse????? i dont think you mentioned any
GG: it seems odd that people might not want to be friends with someone as smart as you! :o
GG: i mean, among humans, being smart is a real gift!!

PP: Well Jade, I can certainly say it is heartening to find someone capable of understanding the position I was placed in.
PP: It seems that you have some experience with universe-altering decisions as well.
PP: It speaks of a special kind of intelligence that would be invaluable to the Institute.
PP: Solicitations aside, I empathize with your struggles.
PP: We all have our own battles, but from how it sounds, yours was perpetually up hill.
PP: I'm curious to know more about Bec and what it means to be a 'First Guardian'
PP: His negative reaction to my associates has me curious.
PP: As for whether or not I have friends.
PP: I am not sure I am capable of having 'friends' in a human sense of the word.
PP: I remember what it was like when I was the Egg, and the feeling it produced.
PP: I can not say that I have ever felt a sort of spiritual connection in such a way since becoming Nealaphh, but there are certainly people whose company I enjoy, you among them.
PP: Demetri is also someone I enjoy being around, but his recent incarceration has me concerned.
PP: Based on what I knew of him, it seems very out of character.
PP: Regardless, I have recently met another brand new Prime to have intellectual exchanges with.
PP: It is always delightful to meet mortal-minded entities who have harnessee their ability to think in abstract terms.
PP: On that note, I am sorry to hear that your once idyllic dreams became nightmarish.
PP: As someone who was once an Enigma, I fully understand the impact that dreams can have on an individual, though, it sounds like dreams in your universr served a different purpose than in mine.
PP: More in line with your original question, however; I suspect people's reluctance to be in my company stems from an inherent aversion to my appearance.
PP: It is not surprising, really. Fear of the unknown is a powerful incentive for maintaining a distance from another person.
PP: I don't hold it against them though. There is a limit to how much control mortal minds can assert over their more ingrained animal instincts.
PP: I do need to go now, however, as I have reached my destination.

GG: okay, to be honest with you, im not exactly sure of what bec is beyond that weirdly vague title!!
GG: i mean, hes my best friend in the whole world, still is, but….
GG: some of the stuff about him, i think, human minds just are not meant to comprehend!!!
GG: so its a good thing that youre not human, i suppose :)
GG: i may have inherited some of his chief characteristics, but a lot of his personality was erased during his earlier prototyping
GG: the only stuff i got from him were these ears and the occasional urge to chase cats and bark up trees!!!!
GG: i do know however that he is fueled by a special something called the green sun
GG: in my game session we sought to destroy it to remove jack noirs most destructive powers, but it turns out we were tricked into creating it instead
GG: there is only a single green sun in all of existence, or at least there is supposed to be
GG: it burns brighter and more painfully than any other star out there!!!! :p
GG: and revolving all around it are all of the universes ever, shielded by the influence of horrorterrors and void though they may be
GG: think of it like a massive solar system, but instead of planets turning around the sun, there are many universes
GG: because of bec prototyping himself to save my house from a meteor and my later prototyping efforts, when i ascended to the god tiers i was given a kind of extra boost to my space abilities that my other friends didnt have
GG: in essence, although im sure a lot of people in this place could say the exact same thing, i was one of the most powerful beings who ever lived!!!
GG: which is why i have to be very responsible, even now, i guess
GG: my friends and the inhabitants of our planets are counting on me to make good choices!
GG: but anyways, bec had a very special attunement towards space, and how the universe worked has a whole im pretty sure!!! c:
GG: i actually think he was sent or created simply for the purpose of watching over the planet earth so that sburb players like myself would play the game!!
GG: he could catch bullets in his mouth, zap himself places in the blink of an eye, and as i said earlier, when i started playing the game he even blew up a meteor before it could completely demolish my island!!!
GG: he is such a good dog
GG: although grandpa sent him to spy on me at this colosseum i think!! :p
GG: anyways, i honestly have no idea of why he doesnt seem to like your friends!

GG: hes never been really upset like this before, it has me a little worried
GG: i dont think hes scared or angry or anything like that, though!!!
GG: he would be whining or something if that were the case, but there is certainly something there that is making him react!!!!! :0

GG: rebecca has been nothing short of perfect the entire time that ive been looking after her, if you were curious about that!

GG: and these mountains in the frozen fields sure are spooky sometimes, but also totally breathtaking
GG: we have even discovered some kind of strange widespread root system within one!!!
GG: several members of our expedition party are…. more in touch with plants and the like than the rest of us, so they have really helped to guide us into the thick of it
GG: though encountering a gigantic hostile plant beast wasnt exactly on the roster
GG: im sure we are going to be totally okay though, so dont worry!! :)
GG: speaking of gigantic hostile beasts, how goes the deal with that dragon?
GG: i noticed that sir monroe or tom riddle or whatever his name actually is said something on your cool little website about that being underway
GG: its kind of puzzling that he would use several different names, but i guess if he thought it was really necessary i can respect that
GG: but back to the dragon!! is the scary lava land place free of it at last????

GG: oh, and by the way, i was wondering if your offer of institute membership was still out there????
GG: after a great deal of consideration, i think that i would be most concerned with the equality branch, mainly because of all the different kinds of attention you have been garnering :p
GG: i mean, those bounties have to make for some pretty strained relations, right??
GG: and its clear there are some big problems within the distribution of power inside some verses, especially with so many primes appearing and impressing their ideals upon others with force, not to mention the random societies of secondaries cropping up all over the place
GG: a different approach, with just an offer of becoming a part of something like the institute and providing help and guidance where it is needed most, is something that i would very much like to assist with!
GG: if you would be willing to let me on board, in any case! :B

PP: Anyway, Nealaphh banished himself for a while because he started having human emotions again.
PP: Probably because the entire Goron village got demolished in the process of killing Volvagia.

PP: Anyway, the Headmaster is going to be away for a while, so we're running The Institute in the mean time.
PP: It's slightly ironic; we were in the process of organizing a search party for you since we hadn't heard from you in a while.
