Quality of Life Suggestions

This is an open thread for members to make suggestions for "flavor of life" improvements that can be made to the Omniverse. 

Perhaps you know of some cool plugin for MyBB or maybe you found a forum theme you'd like to see here. Perhaps some change to the forum layout. If it's free, that's fun, and if it doesn't, it can be a donation 'wish list' item.  

This is not a thread to make suggestions for changes to the actual RPG system, changes to the staff team, or changes to the IC setting.

I have no idea if it would be even plausible but if there were some bot or tally or anything that could count votes better than manually it would be great

I don't know if it's possible, but a within-thread search function is at the top of my wish list. We had it on the old layout and it's about the only thing that was better than the current version. I may have been told this was impossible in the past, but a man can dream.

Yeah, that's what I use now but I'd be using it for stuff like the Move Approval Thread so CTRL+F is kinda clunky to do page by page.

The only in forum search function I know of is in the Help Desk. It's at the bottom under "Search this Forum."


As for specific thread searching. It should be a basic feature. I don't remember the reason it isn't enabled.

Well, we already have a donation perk that lets people lower the level limit required of their characters in order to get their third/fourth easier...

So why not expand on this by adding another that lowers the maximum OM requirement and a third that lowers the time requirement?

this would be great. Or even if you could search by forum instead of just, like, literally goddamn everything, it would make searches a little easier. It's doable now, but if it's not a nightmare to implement it would be cool

The current search function already allows you to search within forums or their sub-forums.

Right now, when you click on a username, it takes you to their non IC profile page. Is there a way to redirect that so it goes to the roster? I know we already have the post bit, but I still think it would be nice is usernames went to rosters as well.

@Kanda - We should be able to add that now that we have the Mobile theme stabilized.

My concern with Sasuke's idea would be how would you pull up their OOC Profile? I'm thinking a drop-down menu, but I think I'd avoid that on Mobile to make it less cumbersome?

This is now possible. Search bar is at the bottom of each thread near Reply and New Reply. It searches the thread you're in for the keywords you enter.

While I think it would be cool, the point of the OOC User Profile is for staff. If I need to moderate you I can quickly get to the Admin CP through your profile. PLUS it should also be displaying your earned awards, but currently the system is not doing that. Which is also on my checklist.
