An unexpected meeting [Completed]

[Yukki Kazuto]

Yukki was not prepared for what he saw as he emerged from the portal. He was expecting something more along the lines of what he had seen at the fountain when he awoke in this world, not the beautiful city he saw before him. He saw a wonderfully clear blue sky, only interrupted by the skyscrapers around him that he assumed the wealthy lived. He saw people bustling around him, and stormtroopers standing around scanning the crowds, seemingly looking for people. Looking around more he saw elevators that people were getting out of and, less commonly, getting into. He noticed that these all headed down. He decided to get in one and find out where it went.


He got out of the elevator on tier three, and immediately noticed that there were less guards here then he had seen before. It seemed the lower he went, the less guards there were around him. He took several spiral staircases down and found himself on tier five. The city barely looked similar to that of tier one, only the building structure was the same. Several buildings were worn down and abandoned, and it seemed that wherever he went, eyes followed him. He pulled his hoodie over his head, and feeling that wasn't enough, summoned a solid black bandanna to put over the bottom half of his face, stopping just above his nose. He didn't realize the dangers of revealing to the people watching him that he was a prime by doing this.

As he continued to walk around, some random person grabbed onto his arm. He shrugged it off and kept walking, not bothering to turn around. After a few more steps his arm was grabbed again. He turned and saw a young girl holding onto his arm. She appeared to be scared and alone. He remembered that that's how he must have looked to Mey. Lonely, weak, on the brink of dying. He started to open his mouth, but the kid tried to grab his gun.

He quickly grabbed her other wrist and threw her into the building next to them. He started sprinting away as he saw three guys come out and start chasing him. He ducked down a side alley and faded into nothingness. His pursuers flew past him, unable to see him. He run back to the elevators, reappearing into view as he climbed into an elevator taking him back to the first floor. He began to walk back to the portal when a familiar figure walked through.

[Reuben Orson]

I was blinded by the blazing light of the portal and then I appeared in a city. Many people were bustling about busy with their daily lives as is. It reminded me a lot of the city that I was from. I stepped down to see a man gawking at me. I did recognize him in the slightest. "Can I help you?" I say on my guard as he seemed a bit stern in stature.

[Yukki Kazuto]

Yukki realized that Reuben didn't recognize him. After all, his physical form had changed completely when he arrived in the Omniverse. Reuben had known him as the teenage girl that he had, grudgingly, trained. Reuben looked at him. "Can I help you?" he asked, rather sternly. It occured to Yukki that Reuben was probably as new to this world as he was himself. Yukki puled his bandanna to around his neck, and flashed a grin that he had given on many occasions before.

"No, but maybe I can help you, friend. You seem to be lost, maybe I can show you around?" He awaited Reuben's answer eagerly.

[Reuben Orson]

I noticed the person in front of me flashed a grin at me. Could it be... No, not at all. "I'm sorry, I don't know who you are." I say beginning to walk away. My face turned towards the elevator near me. I turned and looked back at the strange man behind me. "Thank you for your offer though, I suppose." I say beginning to walk away briskly.

[Yukki Kazuto]

Yukki smile faltered, and he rushed forward and grabbed Reuben's shoulder. "Please, I insist. My name is Zach. And who might you be?" He noticed Reuben's hidden blades come out when he grabbed his shoulder, and pretended not to notice. He knew that if he let Reuben get away now, it might be the last time he sees him for a long time.

[Reuben Orson]

I sighed displeased by this Zach person's persistance. "Look lad," I say turning to look at him my blades visible. "I suggest you walk away from me right now, or else I'm afraid you will become the immediate past president of the being alive club."

[Yukki Kazuto]

Yukki gave a small smile, not even looking at Reuben's blades. "Look sir, I don't know if you paid attention, but if you were to kill me, i'd just come back and get you later." His head tilted down slightly, still looking Reuben in the eye. "And I suggest you put those away, before one of these nice gentlemen in white solve this problem for us..." He saw a guard already turning to inspect what they were doing. "Now why don't we settle this like gentlemen, and not like the killing savages we really are?" Yukki's head tilted back up, a smile back on his face. He pointed to the elevator in front of them. "Shall we?"

[Reuben Orson]

I looked to see the strange guards looking over here I growled angrily and sheathed them. "Fine, then... Whoever you are, pray you don't step out of bounds." I say turning away. "Or you'll find yourself stabbed dead in an alley." I chuckled and turned back around to look at him. "Now, what do you want?" I say sighing.

[Yukki Kazuto]

Yukki wrapped his arm around Reuben's shoulder and began to walk towards the elevators before them. "No need for threats my dear friend, after all, we're both civilized people here." He motioned his head towards the camera that could see them, although he didn't know if it could hear them. "I wish to talk with you, go for a small stroll and perhaps take care of some ruffians that have disturbed me recently. I believe your certain... shall I say skills could be most useful." Yukki gave the smug smile of someone who just got exactly what they wanted. He quickly replaced it for a cheery smile however, and gave an audible laugh. "All this and you still haven't told me your name. Ah well, some men just don't seem to care for hospitality. He ignored Reuben's eyes as they went down to tier three, glad that at least so far, looks couldn't kill.

[Reuben Orson]

I sigh but then rub my head. "I suppose I can assist you... For now that is." I say with a stern look on my face brushing your arm off my shoulder. I turn around quickly and look at the stranger dead in the eye. "No tricks... If I feel a hint of threat coming from you... Well, let's say things will get rather... Red." I say looking and proceeding to walk to the elevator. What the hell is up with this guy? He's so... Eugh, he knows something... But I can't quite place my finger on it. I suppose I'll have to observe this.

[Yukki Kazuto]

Yukki smiled before bringing his bandanna up to his face, covering it once again. He led Reuben down to tier five, where he had been earlier when he had been attacked. As they roamed around, he was on the lookout for the guys that had chased him earlier. They wandered slowly, following the same path that Yukki had taken before, when he was just exploring the city. He passed by many faces that watched him pass, but none were familiar. He turned a corner and stopped. In front of them was the little girl that had served as a decoy earlier when he had been attacked.

While he couldn't see them, it wasn't an unreasonable guess to think that the men that had chased him were nearby, possibly they had already seen him, though this was unlikely because they hadn't done anything yet. He held up his hand to Reuben and pointed at the girl. He then pointed at a spot behind the girl. Reuben nodded and gave Yukki a knowing look before walking down the street to a point just past the girl.

Yukki walked up to the small girl and tapped on her shoulder. She turned around and looked at him. Yukki almost laughed at the look of fear he saw on her face. She turned and began to run away, and Reuben caught her and kept her captive with his knives placed on her throat and the small of her back. Yukki walked u to her and asked "Where are the men who chased me?" She silently shook her head. Yukki then began to get upset. "Tell me before we kill you, you little bitch!" The girl looked at a point over his shoulder and saw her eyes get even bigger.

Yukki rolled to the side moments before a fist the size of his head passed through the air where his chest had been. Reuben dropped the girl, who took off running down the street. Yukki drew his pistol and pointed it at the man in front of him. The man stared at Yukki for a few seconds before turning to look at Reuben. The street quickly cleared out until it was only the three of them taking up the small space.

Yukki stared at the man dead in the face. "Your call" He said, without losing his cheery tone that he had when speaking to Reuben earlier.

[Reuben Orson]

I knew there was something about this person... That hand movement the cheery tone... All that... It's Yukki... That bastard... I'll confront her... I-I mean him about it later right now we've got bigger things to worry about. "Some of your friends I take it?" I say smirking as I see Yukki staring at the man in front of him. The man was about 6'7 with a neck beard his eyes were dull and stupid looking resembling the fact that he probably wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

The man chuckled heartily. "Pah, tiny boys... Always the easiest targets, say nice gun you have there little man. Mind if I take it?" He said quickly moving Yukki's hand and punching him hard in the face the gun was now pointed directly at both of us. I laughed back at him nearly falling over from laughing. "You? Really? Hah, you hope to shoot my with that type of stance?" I said pointing at hime having my blades still out.

"What the fuck did you just say to me you little shit?!" He said angrily his finger slowly about to ease on to the trigger. However, he seemed hesitant. I laughed again. "I said, your form sucks ass, come on, I'd expect someone with a bit more talent in weapons to try and mug me." I said moving at a up and kicking the gun out of his hand. "Now who's on the other end of the stick so to speak?" I said my hidden blades poised to strike at his neck. He seemed to be frightened.

[Yukki Kazuto]

Yukki got up of the ground, holding his jaw, which was bleeding slightly. He retrieved his gun from the ground next to the man and placed a hand on Reuben's shoulder. "Hey, let him go. We made our point. No need killing something that could turn around and tell others to not fuck with us." Yukki watched as Reuben hesitated for a moment before releasing the man. The man looked shocked, before quickly running away from the pair, cursing the entire time.

Yukki noticed Reuben hadn't put his blades away. Holding his pistol at his side, he looked around and noticed that they were completely alone still. "Hey, are you okay? You look a little upset." It was a complete lie, for he never showed any emotion on his face. Reuben didn't answer him. Yukki took another step forward and repeated his question. Reuben just stared at him, his face completely blank. This wasn't good. Yukki knew that face as well as he knew his own. Reuben was going to kill him.

[Reuben Orson]

That bastard... That fucking bastard. "I know who you are..." I say shaking a little in anger before punching him in the stomach and putting my blade to his throat. "Yukki Kazuto!" I say a bit louder than I intended by face red with anger as I punched him again. "How dare you try to lie to me!" I say punching him again. "You should've known better than to cross me!" I say punching him one more time very hard. "You..." I say before backing away a bit.

[Yukki Kazuto]

Yukki laughed while he laid on the ground. The laugh grew slowly, becoming louder and crazier as time went on. Reuben watched quietly as Yukki stood up, still laughing. Very suddenly, the laughing stopped. "Me? Cross you? You never wanted me. You never liked me. You never even tolerated me. No, you despised me. You wanted me DEAD!" Yukki's mad laughing began up again as he watched Reuben stand still as if he hadn't heard those words. "But here, I've realized something. You're no stronger than I am. I could kill you in this alley right now..."

Reuben's blades extended again as he watched the crazy man in front of him. Yukki had never acted like this. This was borderline madness. Yukki's jaw was bleeding, and now his nose was to because of what Reuben had done. However, Yukki didn't seem to care. "You wanted me dead, and we both know it." Yukki said quietly. "So why don't you do it? Kill me now." Yukki suddenly stopped laughing and fell to his knees.

"What have I become?" he said to himself quietly. He looked up at Reuben. "You did this to me! It's your fault!" Reuben didn't say a word as Yukki fell back onto his knees. "It's my fault. It's always my fault." Yukki stood up suddenly and began to walk back to the elevators, not caring about his injuries or the man he had wanted so badly to kill. He barely made it to the end of the alley before collapsing.

I just want to point out that out of the 20 HP each character gets, Yukki's lost 4 of it now.

[Reuben Orson]

I stood there bewildered by what I just saw. He thinks I hate him...? N-No not at all I-I don't... But... He can't know why I dislike him so. I walked towards Yukki and picked him up slumping him over my shoulder and walking to the nearest shelter I could find.. I sighed my arm getting tired already from his weight. Truth be told I'm not exactly strong as I am calculated and fast. However, I must press on, for his sake at least. 

As I continued walking a group of thugs with knives and guns looked at me carrying this half dead man with me. The burly man from earlier was with them he now had his own gun aimed at me ready to shoot at any moment. "Well, well, well, if it isn't the little shit that nearly killed me... Glad to meet you again." He grinned a toothy grin all his teeth were either yellow or not there. I sighed getting pretty fed up with all the shit I'd been through today. "Oh come on, look I have better things to do than to play with you kids... I suggest you move on... Now." I say sternly my eyes gazing angrily at the man before me.


I could sense a bit of fear from him the way he looked away a little but then regained his new found confidence and laughed. "Pah, you may be able to take me on, but you won't be able to take on all of my friends at once." He laughed again keeping the gun right at my face. I gritted my teeth. "Fine, want to do it the hard way then? Let's dance lad." I said lunging forward my blades extended and I stabbed him in the neck he dropped dead and lied there not moving.

One of his friends grabbed shot at me hitting me in the lower abdomen.

I groaned a little but kept fight and lunged at two of them stabbing them in the chest at the same time twist my blade before pushing them aside. Now there were only three left. I could easily take them on now. They only had short viroblades which they seemed to be not very skilled with. One lunged at me and I quickly deflected it with my hidden blade and slashed at them cutting they're chest some but not killing them.

 He tried to lunge again this time I stabbed him in the neck before he got near me but one of his friends slashed at my back cutting me pretty badly.

I fell back a little my back searing and now some blood leaking off my body. I then looked at the man who had slashed at me and stabbed him right in the chest and cut all the way up to his throat and then pushing him to the ground where he lied, a pool of blood forming around his body. 

The other one got me real good this time and cut me really deep.

I groaned again this time being beyond angry I lunged fast but a bit more sloppily this time and stabbed him in the neck and I stabbed him continuously for a good 30 seconds, I limped over to Yukki who still lied there unconscious. I picked him up but cried out loudly in pain as his body pressed against my wounds.

H-Have to keep... Moving... I slowly began to walk to a nearby building that I saw that showed no signs of life. I quickly kicked open the door and saw a few floor mattresses that had no one occupying them I layed Yukki down down slowly as to noy hurt him any further. I saw blood dripping from my body I I grabbed a cloth rag from the end of a wooden table and wrapped around one of my wounds. It will have to do for now... I sighed and then leaned against the wall and slowly drifted off into a slumber.

[Yukki Kazuto]

That last post was certainly... interesting... to say the least.

Yukki woke up to feel something breathing on his neck. He jumped up and moved to grab his pistol, only to find it gone. He looked at what had woke him up to find the small girl that had been the cause of his troubles yesterday standing over the mattress he had been placed on by Reuben. She was silently laughing at him, holding his gun with one finger above Reuben's head. He saw that Reuben was injured, with his suit in shreds and cuts all over his body. He turned his attention back to the girl.


She seemed to be laughing at him silently. She tilted her head to the side. "Watcha gonna do about it?" Yukki took a step forward, the response to which was the gun being pointed at the unconscious Reuben. He moved his foot back. The gun went back to pointed at the ceiling. Yukki slipped into his enhanced senses, not detecting anyone else in the building or it's immediate vicinity. Yukki gave a small sigh.
"Fine. What do you want?" The girl remained silent and only grinned. After a few more attempts at the same question, Yukki grew to realize something. "You can't talk, can you?" The girl's grin grew and she shook her head. Yukki held a hand up to her. "Give me a few minutes, okay?" When she nodded, Yukki began summoning a notepad and pen. When it was created, Yukki felt a little woozy, but handed her it anyway. She took it and began scribbling on the paper.


When she was finished, Yukki retrieved the notepad and read what had been written. "Your friend here killed the only people that looked after me and made sure I had enough food to eat. Unlike you primes, I cannot make whatever I need when the time arises, and I have the right to kill him, for he has certainly doomed me to a fate worse than death during sleep with the ability to come back. Do you not agree with me?" Yukki sighed as he put the notepad down.


He looked at the sleeping Reuben. "As much as I hate him, we're a team now, and it would be wrong to make a decision without his input. I hope we can both agree to that. Before that happens though, I want my gun." The girl looked troubled before nodding and handing Yukki his gun. Yukki accepted it, and kept it at the ready to deal with an upset Reuben. Yukki only said one thing as he woke Reuben from his slumber.


"You do have the right to kill him."

[Reuben Orson]

I awoke to hear those words uttered from Yukki and I got up slowly still being quite sore from the beating I took. "No one has the right to kill me!" I said struggling to even get up some. "No one." I say again firmly looking at Yukki angrily. I then looked at the little girl giving me a death glare. "Why the hell is she here?" I said looking at her. She grabbed the notebook that was near her and began to scribble down on it feverishly with intent.

I waited for her to finish. When she finally did the notebook read. "You killed everyone who took care of me, you heartless bastard, I have no one now thanks to you! You're lucky your friend is here otherwise I would've just finished you off already!" I sighed and looked at the little girl feeling some bit of remorse, not much though.I clenched my fist. "They attacked me and my friend first! They deserved to die... I gave the large one a chance to live you know." I finished still looking at her, ready to fight at a moments notice. 

She began to right again after a minute or two she handed it back to me. "His name was Brutus you cock sucker, and he has taken care of me since I was little, and you murdered him! I want to rip out your throat and watch the life drain from your eyes, your lucky my weak physique and my inability to speak and your friend is preventing me from doing it."  I sighed looking sadly at her feeling worse now. It is true that he did attack me, however, he was probably just protecting her... I have to do something.

I looked back up at her. "You can come with us, we'll protect you... I promise, I won't hurt you, just don't hurt me... I'm... Sorry, for what I did, we need to have a sort of base anyone, you can come live with us there." I said giving a weak smile to her. She looked extremely stunned and she stared at me for a moment. And then started writing on her notebook again. "You better not be lying to me..." It read. "I won't, I promise, what do you think Yukki?"

[Yukki Kazuto]

Yukki was slightly taken aback by the girl's harsh language that she directed at Reuben. While she had been distrusting of him, she had at least been civil when talking, or technically writing to him. This girl really hated Reuben for what he had done. Might be good to keep her lose, otherwise she would run off and get authorities to track them down, or die. "You realize we have nowhere to go, right?" 

The girl's face didn't change as she continued to give Reuben a death look. "Okay, I guess you're coming with us." Yukki placed his pistol back in his jacket, and walked up to the girl. "You haven't told us your name yet. If you're going to be going along with us, we have to know what to call you." The girl picked up the notepad and hesitated for a moment before writing on it.

"My name is Scarlet."
