Welp, yesterday's session was fun.

We're behind enemy lines, with no chance to rest up, one of our party members at 1 HP and the other knocked completely unconscious. The healer of the session LEFT, and nobody else on the team knows crap about medical stuff.

Welp, we're about to start a new session, Adam is nowhere to be seen, and we're missing two party members when we were told we'll likely need all 5 to survive further.

Well, that was fun. I was knocked unconscious and saved from having to make death saving throws by DL, Gin and DL pretty much nuked a group of goblins, and we got the story to progress.

I heard your game is text based? If that's the case, I may be interested in joining this. I think you said you had an opening.

The main downside is I'll need to read up on the system as I'm not familiar with 5e.

What kind of character does the group need the most? I'm leaning towards Monk because the class works a lot like Pathfinder and I have a character that would be fun to play, but I can work around you guys. It would be easy to make a character around most classes. xD

Aye, text-based it is. And we could probably fit in one more person, indeedly do.

At the moment, the group has.....a Fighter, a Wizard, a Ranger, a Rogue, and a Cleric.

Looking over characters....things are mostly pretty balanced. No glaring weaknesses or anything that need to be covered, so you're welcome to let your character ideas run wild.

Take whatever time you need and read up on 5e, and we'll be happy to have ya.

Couple questions:

-Are these games running on Roll20? I know I can run that at least.

-What level am I shooting for? I'm assuming my character's level will match the rest of the group.

-Rolling stats or point buy? How many points?

-What are the other player's races and what are their alignments? So she plays well with the rest of the group.


I'm thinking a human lawful good monk character. I'll have a write up after I learn the rules.

DM has answers, if you have questions:

-- Aye, they are indeed running on Roll20

-- The party hast just hit level 2, as of tonight/last night's session.

-- Rolling for stats. 4d6, drop the lowest.

-- Current character races and alignment are as follows:
Fighter: Human, Lawful Good
Wizard: Kobold, Lawful Good
Ranger: (Wood) Elf, Chaotic Good
Rogue: Human, Chaotic Evil
Cleric: Half-Elf, Neutral Good

A motley (if mostly good) crew, to be sure.

I could see the Ranger's/my character alignment dropping later down the line, for multiple reasons:

-He's expressed a want to kill any goblins they've come across. Possibly searching to cause a goblin-related genocide, haven't decided yet.
-He has asked Gin to be his meatshield before.
-He may or may not have wanted to kill the goblins they tied up.
-He shot a surrendering goblin, and, when he discovered it was surrendering...No qualms, period.

For those reasons...Yeah, I could see him becoming Chaotic Neutral.

Also, some status updates:

Gindor called for aide.
When Gin grappled a wolf, I randomly shouted, "EL MACHO PRIMO!" Adam then informed me that I just said 'The First Cousin.'
Gin grappled a big mangy doge. Put that as memetically as you'd like.
