Should backups do their profiles too?
And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued

@phh, if you want to do your profiles now, yeah you can ^-^ I'm also having free time today so I'll be getting more to work on a lot of this stuff

I think I have some bad news.

I got a job at a BSA summer camp this summer, from the beginning of June to almost July 4th. It's my third year there and they invited me back. Its pretty good pay-wise, but poses a pretty big problem for me:

There is no cellphone service in the camp what so ever. And no computers connected to the internet that are accessible by general staff. We can leave on the weekends, but during the week I'll be cut off completely from the outside world.

Oh and then I leave for another Scouting-related thing, where I wont have service either for most of the week/week and a half that I'll be gone to that.

I might have to bow out of this before we start, lest I drag everyone down trying to accommodate for my misplanning.

Well the good news is that you have some kind of employment. Unless you're volunteering the second event, in which case the good news is you feel all warm and fuzzy inside when you don't want to throw some of the denser scouts off a cliff into the lake to see if they float or sink. Unless that was just me being fed up with people who don't know how to use a bow, insist they know how to use a bow, and end up hurting themselves on the string or almost-shooting other scouts. Basically anyone who disregards range rules of any kind irks me, actually, since, y'know, deadly weapons.

But that's not relevant. Enjoy your summer work with the Boy Scouts, Dell Smile

Funny, because I'm actually going to be working shooting sports. And a guy got fired for shooting a bow at a scout last year >.>

Second thing is Philmont. Or more specifically Cavalcade.

I didn't shoot anything at anyone. The scouts were just disregarding my range's rules. I am not the droid you are looking for.

So dell are you completely backing out? Its a full month thing right?

Like I said, I'll be off on the weekends, but during the week I'll have no access to the internet.

I think you might still be able to manage, so long as you can get your posts in during that time, wanna try it out? Worst case scenario, you die Tongue

Exactly the thought I was having. What kind of window are we looking at for getting a post in?

A maid is associated with healing and repairing , right? Your land could be normally bright and full of bustling consorts, with the landscape being beautiful shades of and hues of color. Recently, something has been draining the land of its color and livelihood, and it's your quest to stop it.

Oh that is a beautiful idea, restoring life and light to the land. Lemme try and spin something up real quick...
The Land of Paint and Soul
It was once a vibrant and bright world full of color and life, but now that is all fading away. Backdrops are now more bland than brilliant, and consorts are few and far between, as if driven away by something. Wandering around, you are more likely to come across things that are a bit more... sinister. Even the air itself feels almost palpably oppressive. Whatever is sucking the life out of such a spirited world must be stopped, and the maid must bring it all back.
I'm assuming the big boss is the denizen because it's usually the denizen as far as I remember.
And I'm probably gonna need a lot more but I'm tired now so it's a problem for future me.

Hope you have fun at the camp Dell. BSA Summer Camp is pretty fun once you get past the part where you forget to bring everything.

Looks like Dave is willing to work around my schedule, as long as I prototype before June and get into the medium. I'll be able to post on the weekends. So i'm not dropping out.

Currently finalizing some details with my character. If all goes well, I'll have the profile submitted today or tomorrow.

As i finalize your profiles and get to know a bit of your character, just want to reiterate that I am open for land discussions, though preferably by skype or pm(skype more preferable, name is zenickz ) that way we can get the quests and denizens figured out and whatnot. Remember to get your profiles in because we are starting next week ^o^

So I've been thinking about my land. I'm gonna put out an idea, and I'm open to suggestions.

Land of Glass and Night (LOGAN)

This planet is eternally locked in a orbit so far from its star, it gets almost no sunlight. Draped in an eternal darkness, the only light is provided by the glass-like trees and crystalline structures that dominate the planets sandy surface. The consorts on the planet have light-sensitive eyes, and are some kind of nocturnal creature. The problem is that the denizen of the planet (some kind of large reptile or dragon, even) who resides in a large caldera (extinct volcano), is cold and wants  to warm itself. But since the planets star is so far away, there could never be any way to create any kind of solar heat.

The quest I think, will be to traverse the dark planet to find the largest shards of the glowglass (that's what I'm calling the plants) and use the strange energies within them to re-ignite the slumbering volcano.

I also had another idea.

Land of Platforms and Void

The planet is shattered, the planet's crust reduced to many layers of massive floating platforms, strewn with metal ruins and strange purple crystals. They are attached to the remains of the planet's dense molten core by enormous chains which hold them in 'orbit' around itself. The Denizen, a massive six-legged monkey-lizard, resides on the lowest level, closest to the molten core, and moves between them by climbing the chains.

The problem is that the core is cooling, which is upsetting the the denizen and causing it to shake the chains in rage. This smashes the platforms together causing destruction and tremors and sometimes breaks the chains, which causes their formerly attached platforms to float off into space. Residing on the outermost platform is a ancient device: a massive antique laser that holds enough power to re-ignite the core. But the focusing lenses are gone, all 7 of them. Todd will need to find the focusing crystals (or a replacement for them if he cant) and activate the laser to placate the denizen.

Hmm, really like both of these, but the LOGAN appeals to me a bit more. I like the idea, but I think to really make it interesting, have everything on the planet made of glass making it nearly impossible top decipher the difference between things. Perhaps the Snowglass can appear like any other glass object on the planet, but when broken reveals a small light that illuminates the  surrounding area with color, making it completely visible. Your quest would include finding a way to identify these plants and bring sight and understanding to your consorts(consorts are the little creatures on your planet) in order for them to prosper on this planet that was originally impossible to navigate. You would need to understand your own Seer of Void powers to become used to the visually chaotic land,, as well as possibly create a way for others to see it as you do as well. Very interesting ^o^
