Seeing as we seem to have decided on a series of duels, I wouldn't have thought (based on my admittedly still-developing understanding of this process) that calling would be necessary.

When I pitched that time limit initially I was thinking in terms of a two-sided free-for-all, so thinking about, the time between posts should actually probably be shorter - the default would probably be fine.

Actually, since we're doing this as duels, is it even all going to be in the same thread? Because if not we can probably just cut the rules down to the defaults across the board, with the additions regarding execution, the backdrop, etc. tacked on.

I just ask, because the two previous cluster fucks I partook in used the call system, and one of those was a similar 'string of 1v1s amid a large-scale clusterfuck of pain and violence'.

Fights larger than 1v1 will utilize a call system detailed at the end of this post. 1v1s will have 3 days per round unless the combatants wish to change this for whatever reason.

- Judge's discretion on whether or not the loser(s) is allowed to be executed
- The actual backdrop of the fight is just fodder and not much more than a location for most fights
- Participants are decided by what makes the most sense storywise/people's preference

THE CALL SYSTEM
Each round will last 5 days. During that time people are allowed to "call" a post. Once called that person has 2 hours to submit a post. At the end of the 2 hours, or if the person has posted, someone else is allowed to call. You can call to be next in line, but once the first person has posted or their 2 hours are up your time begins. This continues until everyone has posted or the 5 days are up. Judges will then have 1 day to tally up damages and so they have a chance to get caught up if they fall behind.

Sounds solid to me. Assuming everyone else agrees, I think the only thing that leaves is clarifying whether this is all going to be in one thread or if its going to be multiple threads, and selecting opponents.

I feel like multiple threads is not a bad idea, but only to an extent (if there's more than three I would say its a mistake.) other than that it sounds like a plan!

Fine by me, I will admit that this is the very first pvp I've ever done so I will most likely be a noobie at this.

well, now that most of us are in agreement, let's get to discussing the battles themselves:

Currently discussed matches/Fights:

Hiro has expressed interest in fighting Kerrigan.
Kelly has expressed interest in fighting Skeletor
Strazio has expressed interest in fighting Illidan or Kerrigan

I can't speak for skeletor, or Illidan, but personally I'd have no problem rushing the fastest swordsman off to the fastest death, though I'd also have no problem fighting Strazio.

So that's 3 of the defenders spoken for and 1 of the assaulters so far.
That leaves Okor, Ash, Revan, Shang Tsung, Dave, and Gamzee to throw something up regarding preference, along with Illidan and Skeletor.

If I could, I might prefer to 1v1 Hiro. A certain heroic man has made his intentions very clear in the chatbox, and if the fastest swordsman in the land wants to die the quickest, who am I to disappoint? : P

That said, not at all opposed to 2 or 3v1, especially if all 7 or 8 of you want in on the fighting from the get-go.
