Team Zimmer Recruitment
#1
Warren's gonna be putting together a team of primes,  and also secondaries if anyone wants to join the newly formed "Team Zimmer"  which will be trying to push the boundaries of technology,  and also combat possibilities.  Warren's also looking for loyalty among the primes  and secondaries because he needs trustworthy minions.   So is anyone interested?  If so Warren is on Coruscant.

So is anyone interested in this potential idea?

Warren let me give you some advice. Its very unlikely when someone as new as you asks for people to have their own characters, who have been around here for a long time, follow a fresh prime who has no clue about the omniverse and become minions to this person.

If you truly wish to have people follow you around you will have to make your character interresting enough so people would want to follow him. You can't just barge in and scream " I am awesome, who wants to be my minion?" It just doesn't work like that.

From an OOC perspective its the same thing, people don't know you yet. Put some time and effort in the site, develop you character and these things will all come naturally.

You're naive. We're destroyers, not saviors. - Yu Kanda

I agree with everything Yu said, but also, there's already a team of people, mostly NPCs, doing what you want to do. Coruscant has research going on, officially, and quests to that effect. That's a great way to get some OM built up and show everyone how you write. We read other people's IC threads, quite a bit. Plus, doing a little short story about your character in a strange new world is a great way to get your feet under you, figure out how the character acts and reacts to things. If you need help and don't like the quests, ask some people to pitch a prompt or two your way, see what you think? Something like "You get drunk and wake up on Tier Five, your clothes are piled in a corner, and there's a Roomba in your bed. Now what?"

You might want to ask someone with more sleep than me for a prompt.

I had a point when I started typing this and I almost lost it; sometimes following is as fun as leading. See: the current Battle for Death Mountain arc that Neal has going. It's pretty sweet, and at its core is a bunch of people having to work together under someone else, when they wouldn't normally do so. It's a nice little play on how people have to work together despite not necessarily knowing each other.
