Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Thor walked through the gate, fear flooding his mind once again as he and Mjolnir were held worlds apart. Then the moment was over. Thor sighed in relief as Red-Hood came Through the portal.

"So Red-Hood where did this Nealaph say to meet him?"

Red was quite for a moment as he surveyed this new land. The sky was a dark crimison hidden behind dark billowing clouds of smoke. Ash and soot littered the ground, sticking to everything. Molten lava rivers could be seen flowing here and there. Traveling by ground with definitely be tough Red thought to himself
At the center of the vast wasteland he spotted there destination.

"There, that's gotta be Death Mountain". Red said pointing at a large expanse of ominous mountain ranges. In the center held the highest point which Red assumed was where Nealaphh lay.

" Alright I'm going to try and summon us transportation, we are going to fly there. I don't like the idea of walking there, plus its a lot farther than our walk from the gates" Red said plainly as he summoned the orb. He began concentrating. Knowing somehow that this would take awhile  and with a lot of effort.

Surprisingly it only took about fifteen minutes to summon in the large plane. Red chuckled wondering if this was a copy or the original. He could just imagine the stupid look on his face, dumb founded  at his missing plane.

"Alright let's do this!" Red yelled excited to be back in the BatPlane. Red jumped into the cockpit buckling his seat belt as he did so. Red started the engine, he grinned as he listened to the engine purr.

"Low fuel level powering off" said the on-board voice.

"Son of a- I thought you would come with fuel!" Red said frustrated. Hoping back down he summoned his orb and preceded to concentrate on fuel.

After a few minutes he had refueled the plane.

"Okay let's try this again" Red said returning to the driver's seat. Once again the engine roared to life.

"Low fuel level powering off" said the on-board voice once again.

"What the hell!" Red yelled "I just filled you up!"

Red repeated this process another two times but the fuel magically would deplete.

"What the hell is wrong with you?! Piece of shit!" Red yelled kicking the plane. Thor looked on at his friend concerned as he watched him curse at the plane.

"I give up you try to summon something!" Red yelled folding his arms and looking at Thor.
You can't stop crime. That's what you never understood. I'm controlling it. You wanna rule them by fear, but what do you do with the ones who aren't afraid? I'm doing what you won't, I'm taking them out.

Thor looked at his friend and smiled. "For all your striving toward advancement you Midgardians still cannot seem to escape the need for your machines to be fueled." Thor laughed as he watched his companion kick the dark steel of the ship's control room. "Reclaim the value of this flightless bird and let me show you the wonders of the nine realms." He turned, still smiling, with a sweep of his cape and began to walk out of the ship. The Red-Hood followed, with a grunt, then began to extract the Omnilium he had used to create the Bat Plane. At first the process was slow. Not accustomed to working with such a large object his red-helmed comrade began to pull the plane apart orb by orb. However, it did not take long for the former boy wonder to find a quicker way. Soon the plane was melting into hundreds orbs of omnilium all flowing casually into their owner. Thor waited for him to finish before stepping forward.

"You could have made yours while I as breaking down the Bat Plane." Red said as Thor stepped up to were the vehicle had been.

"I doubt you will be able to concentrate while I am summoning!" Thor pulled an orb of Omnilium from within himself and held the sphere of pure potential up to the blackened sky. The ash filled air of the Steppes began to swirl like storm clouds. The winds began to stir, then howl, as they blew against the cracked and dusty earth. For a moment it seemed like that might be all that would happen. The wind still howled and the skies still stirred and Thor stood at the center of it holding up the faintly glowing sphere. Then lightning cut through the soot-filled sky and struck the orb in Thor's hand. The Omnilium began to grow. With every passing second it seemed to devour more of the bolt growing ever larger. It began to spark and flash in a multicolored display. Thor moved out from under the orb and put both hands on the seemingly volatile sphere. The process was long and anyone who might have been unaware of the primes presence at the gate was now more than alerted to their presence, but the orb had finally reached the size it needed. It popped with a Thunderous BOOM! The winds died and the sky grew calm once more. Where the Omnilium had been now stood a strange smooth thing made of a technology that seemed both very advanced and very old. Something from a darker world than Thor's own. It seemed to almost fit in the dark desolation of the Ashen Steppes. It's lower part was buried in the cracked earth. Thor walked up to it.

"This is a Harrow. A ship used by the armies of Svartalfheim in an assault on my home. They do not have as much room as your Bat Plane," Thor said with a hint of a smile, "but they are built for speed. It should suit our purposes well."

This... was different and yet familiar. A few steps through the gate and the pearly white of the Nexus gave way to fire and brimstone, an ashy land of fire. The sky was blood red, dotted with black clouds. Whether or not they were smoke or natural formations she couldn't tell. A large mountain range loomed in the distance, dwarfing the Nexus. For one of Omni's many dollhouses this one probably was one created from his dark nature. Some believed in a place called Hell. If one were to journey to this place they might as well find it. Miranda doubted that any could find a life here, but it wouldn't surprise her if she did find settlements here. Despite her clear disgust for the place she stepped forward, walking the path until she came across the couple from earlier.

Both look as if they were dressed for Halloween, even if they could probably contend for the Best Costume award. They looked completely different and probably hailed from completely different planes of existence as well.  She chuckled to herself approaching the pair. One appeared to be having difficulties with the vehicle the red one had summoned. She couldn't remember how she knew, but she could recall that the Omniverse had static rules that differed depending on where you went. Unable to fly on artificial wings must be this verse's rule.

Before she could speak up, the tall blond, somewhat handsome man raised his orb of omnilinium to the sky, calling the dark clouds together. As if summoning the spears of some primordial god, a flash of light rained down from the heavens. Miranda rose an arm, shielding herself from the blinding flash that became of the useless show the man used to summon his own vehicle. When he was done the blinding light receded and the pounding thunder dissipated. In its place was a vehicle Miranda herself imagined piloting. The result however was the same. They had yet to try, but they really didn't need to for Miranda to know. She had already decided.

She approached the two primes, her arms crossed in pity. "You do know that won't work right? Where ever you need to go... you might need to go by land."
"I've been here before, used to this kind of war. Crossfire grind through the sand. The orders were easy: 'It's kill or be killed'. Blood on both sides will be spilled."

Thor turned toward the gate at the sound of a voice that was obviously not Red's.
Quote:"You do know that won't work right? Where ever you need to go... you might need to go by land."

Walking up to them was a what looked to be another prime. A tall woman wearing what seemed to be a metal mouth guard and a long coat that cloaked the rest of her form better scrutiny. Her one silver eye found companion in an eye-patch with a Red eight scrawled upon it. There was no mistaking her for anything but a warrior. Red reached for a pistol instinctively, but it was not needed.

Thor could see that her body spoke much more fluently then her hidden lips. She was not here to fight them. She stood in a way that told you in no uncertain terms 'you two don't know what you're doing' with an over tone of 'I said might, but you will need to go by land'. Thor liked her. He liked women who could wear there intent like armor. It's why he had gotten along with Sif and it's why he had grown fond of Jane.

"So Omni want's to make this hard for us! I have never shied from a challenge!" Thor looked at the ship then at the one eyed woman. "If you give me a few minutes to rid the world of this obelisk of my failure, would you mind showing us what you might summon to transverse this harsh land more quickly?"

Thor would wait for a response, then hold his Hammer against the vehicle and begin to extract it through his weapon.

Revan struggled to breath in the swirling vortex that spun and twisted in absurd and various patterns, wind whipping past her at high-velocity speeds. A dizzying array of colors swirled and glowed with a rare luminescence, like mottled stars in an inky black void. Revan reached out with the force, reveling in the whirlwind of power and the rush that it gave her. She laughed, breathless, at the feeling of weightlessness.

And then she was fired, like a bullet, into a darkly colored ground, ash and soot smearing across her clothes and body. A jagged rock that jutted out of the rock tore a shallow gash in her stomach, and she cried out in pain. As she curled into a ball on the ground, Revan could feel the oppressive atmosphere of this place begin to weigh on her mind. The heat was the first sensation her skin picked up as ash began to settle and cake onto Revan's skin, marring her pale complexion.

"I...need to...get moving." Each word she spoke was interrupted by a ragged breath, the air difficult to move in and out of her lungs. Revan stood slowly, trying not to aggravate the gash on her stomach, but to her surprise, she couldn't even feel the cut anymore. On further inspection, Revan saw a fresh scar but no open wound.

"That's...oddly convenient." Revan spoke slowly, her mind trying to find a logical explanation to all of these weird occurrences that seemed to surround her. No matter what she thought she could cook up to try and cope with all of this, her mind would not accept that this could be, in any way, logical. Revan made a noise of frustration, running her hands through her midnight locks as she observed her bleak surroundings. This world seemed to be a volcanic plain, trademark lava flows and ashen skies about as welcoming as a bed of vibroblades. She could, however, see a small group of people not far from where she was.

"Maybe they can help me figure out what the hell is going on." She muttered to herself, her long legs starting to move towards the small group. As she neared then, she could begin to make out the finer details of the group's members. The most noticeable was a tall man with long blonde hair and startling electric-blue eyes. He exuded an aura of confidence, a natural leader. The next was another man, shorter in stature than the former and very different in choice of clothing. He wore a leather jacket and a red mask, his face completely covered. The last of the trio was by far the most interesting to Revan, by a landslide.

It was a woman, as far as she could tell, with stark-white hair, and a long black coat of some sort draped over the majority of her body. It looked quite heavy and cumbersome. Revan reached out with the force to the woman, seeking to find out if she was any danger. She looked like a potential threat, and Revan wasn't sure if she was ready for a fight just yet. The woman's force signature gave off a feeling of determination, and slow, simmering anger. It was what drove this woman.

Revan steeled her nerves and made her presence known by lifting up a large boulder with the force, and slamming it back down, the sound of fracturing stone making quite a scene. The large one gripped his hands into fists, the smaller one drew a small gun of some sort, and the woman seemed...overall unimpressed with the display.

"Can someone tell me what in the name of the force is going on?"

Red jumped as the boulder struck the ground. He thought it was very unnerving how so many primes were able to approach him with out him noticing. He turned to face the two new comers . The first who had approached was quite tall for a woman. About the same height as Red was if not slightly shorter. The metal that replaced her limbs showed ever so slightly, enough that Red noticed as he watched her. Despite her physical abnormalities  Red found this woman to be quite beautiful. She was broken but strong. Judging from how she held herself he could tell she was a powerful prime, which only added to the beauty Red found in her. She reminded him of himself, he too was broken, not outwardly but the past they had experienced shaped who they were now.

The other woman looked regal as she waited on an answer to her question. Red looked at the two newcomers still unsure of their intent. Slowly he holstered his weapon he had drawn, knowing full well if things went south he could easily whip both out and prepare for the fight to come. For now he had to trust and assume they too were journeying to the same place. To kill the vile dragon and aide Nealaphh.

"We ate trying to get adequate transportation to Death Mountain" Red said, pointing to the mountain range far off in the distance. "But apparently we can't fly there. Another trick of Omni's I suppose". Red said facing the woman who had informed them of their problem.

" I'm Red Hood, and this is Thor. What are your names?" Red said, still looking at the first woman, not really caring the identity of the second.

Thor looked at the new woman to approach there group. Like the first this new prime seemed a capable warrior, and like the first she had an obviously feminine build, but with a face hidden by a mask. Yet for all their similarities Thor did not feel the same about them. The white haired woman he respected, as a lion respects a lone wolf. She might not revel in the glory of battle as he did, but she was a survivor and that was worthy of his respect. This new woman with her ancient technology and her dark clothing reminded Thor to much of the dark elves. He looked at the Harrow still stuck in the cracked earth. He would wait until he had learned more of these two before he turned his back on them and his focus on to other things. Thor stepped up next to Red-Hood.

Quote:" I'm Red Hood, and this is Thor. What are your names?" Red said, still looking at the first woman, not really caring the identity of the second.

"And what has brought you to this desolate land?" Thor said to both women, his eyes landing on the second with suspicion.

Adequte transportation huh? For a couple of random dudes standing about in the middle of Hell, they sure were over thinking this a bit. If the mountain range clearly visible in the distance is death mountain, Then what they were standing on must be the road to get there. Its subtle yes, but it was clearly well trodden upon. Its ash covered surface seemed finer than the hardened ground around it. The road wasn't straight to be sure, but it was traversable either by foot or land vehicle. Simple and direct, yet easy to ambush. They were right to try and take to the air, but that didn't seem possible.

Death Mountain was a suitable name. From here it looked as vicious as a giant's rusty axe on the horison. Apparently these warrriors or soldiers were journeying there on some quest of some sort. At least the one dressed in semi-medieval armor was. The one in red with a more modern touch probably tagged along for the same reason as she would be. Boredom was a savage beast indeed. As for her name, they needn't know her name quite yet. She wasn't one hundred percent sure on that one. Frost would do for now. "I'm just one who has lost her way, but you can call me Frost", she casually responded, the sound of falling gravel nearby catching her point of focus. Her eye's light brightened in intensity, enough for some of it to show beneath the patch that hid it.

Then she saw it. A boulder had been lifted by some invisible hand. Miranda turned to meet the possible threat, only for the boulder to drop, sending a thin wave of ash over her. Largely, she was unimpressed. Her heavy coat had already been soiled during her short stay here, and she had barely traveled a few hundred feet in. The man in red explained it simply, leaving Miranda to shrug and reach into the depths of her coat, pulling out an orb of rainbow light. She couldn't remember much, but this one was too easy to operate. With only a few thoughts, a vehicle of Miranda's choice built itself from the dust of the Ashen Steppes. The parts assembled one by one before their eyes, though the end result was far from spectacular. Before them was a simple pick up truck, beaten and battered by the scours of time. Rust had taken over where fresh crimson paint had once been. It was trasportation fitting for a woman like Miranda: sturdy and reliable.

Without a word she pulled a set of keys from her coat pocket and pushed passed Thor and Red. It was her truck after all. She'd be the one to drive. The other was free to come, Miranda honestly didn't care. What was the worse that could happen, her death? Miranda chuckled as she pulled the creaking door open. She sat down into the cracking, aged leather and started the ignition. The truck sprang to life like a giant slowly awakening from an eternal sleep.
"I've been here before, used to this kind of war. Crossfire grind through the sand. The orders were easy: 'It's kill or be killed'. Blood on both sides will be spilled."

Frost? Red looked at 'Frost' from behind his sanguine helmet. He watched as she piece by piece summoned and older truck. Red was interested that she chose to go with an older, beat up vehicle rather than a newer model.  His respect only grew for the woman. Choosing a vehicle with such character rather than picking the best. Dick Grayson always used to tell him when he was younger that a person's choice in vehicle said a lot about the person. The wise words rang true once again.

Red approached the passenger side door, opening it as he slid into the seat next to Frost. Red looked into the dirty rear view mirror at his friend and the other prime. Red turned his view back towards Death Mountain. Tapping his fingers anxiously he thought of the battle that would ensue. Red pulled his cell phone from his pocket and checked the website for updates.

"Still nothing..." He muttered. They wouldn't be late it would seem, which Red was thankful for. He hoped they would arrive at Death Mountain in time.

If only they would get in the truck... Red thought impatiently.

Thor looked at the truck the woman had summoned. He thought it fit her well. 'A machine that should have died long ago, for a woman that won't die.' Two survivors in a land of fire and ash. Thor swung himself into the back of the all-terrain vehicle, making it shake as he set his might Hammer down. He looked back at the cloaked woman. He was still suspicious of her but in fighting a dragon many enemies can become allies. "Will you join us, quiet girl or will you stand there and let the chance to slay a dragon pass you by?"

Revan like to think that she was a good judge of character, and if that assumption was correct, these people didn't take too kindly to her presence. The tall blonde warrior, Thor was his name, threw supposedly discreet suspicious glances her way. He didn't trust her, and if Revan was honest, which she usually was, she didn't care. Let him have his doubts. Keep him on his toes.

"I have a name, you prick. It's Revan." Revan removed her mandalorian mask whilst continuing to speak, her eyebrows drwn tight and her lips pursed. " It was almost great to meet you." The young Sith threw a sneer to the warrior, making her disdain clear. This man made Revan's blood boil. She knew she would dread this time stuck in a vehicle with him.

She threw off her robes, throwing them in the back of the truck, baring her skin-tight black outfit, and the silver weapon hilt attached to her hip. Her right arm was encased in a light armor, from the shoulder down to her fingertips, tapering into claws.

"Lets kill a dragon."

Thor smiled. She had a sharp wit, and a fiery back bite. Both were things that Thor could respect. He watched her remove her mask, revealing a beautiful face, only to mar it with a look of disdain. This Revan, while still as pale as an elf, was being to become a little less unnerving. Thor he watched her throw of the robes she had been wearing to reveal skin-tight black armor similar to his memory of Black Widow, however her right arm was plated in light armor from the shoulder down that tapered into claws. As he watched her enter the vehicle, Thor wondered why that cylindrical object at her hip seemed so familiar. He had definitely seen one before. It was a though for another day.

"Let us see what this contraption can do, Frost!" Thor shouted into the front seat.

"After all, we do have a dragon to slay." He said in a more even tone, turning to smile at Revan. Then he leaned over.

"Glad to know that the quiet girl is not as quiet as I thought." He whispered before sitting back up properly.
