Very Important Shit (Apollo's State Of Affairs)

Heya.

So, even though Jupes is pretty well off in terms of power... I don't think he's sticking around in the Omniverse much longer. Thing is, I've been losing a hell of a lot of muse for a few characters lately. So that's it. 5 months of Jupes, and I'm switching. Been thinking of it for around 2 months now, so it's not just an on the fly thing. Besides, if he comes back, he's an original, so NPCs work great. Thing is, I don't know who I'm switching to. Maybe help?

One: Judy Hopps - Zootopia

So I've been RPing as Judy on other sites (tumblr cough) and I think she's already a strong presence in my mind. She wouldn't require much ability to start off with, would have a pretty good story to go with, a lot of potential for growth, and hey. Disney is a fun old time.



Two: Mario - Super Mario

I've had some experience with Mario, and it'd be great to have this plumber back in the Omniverse. Though it'd take a lot of OM to get him prepared for everything, it could still work great. 






At the time of the writing,  I'm leaning more towards Judy, but hey. Whatever. I'll set up some rosters soon.

Mario.

I considered Mario for a New York Minute when I was planning an alt way back when. I think he'd be pretty easy to integrate into the Omniverse, and you'd have a lot of ideas for Moves, power ups, and Alt Forms. Like... so many. You'd be drowning in them.

I'm going to echo the Mario vote, just to selfishly shrink my own list of alt candidates. Tons you can do with him, though.

I would stick with Jupiter. I mean, he already has a term named after him!

My unbiased opinion would be to test them both out for about 1000-2000 words (like 3-4 posts here). That should give you a better idea of how you'll do with writing them. If you're already that deep in with Judy and you feel confident, I'd stick with her. If you can match it with Mario and still have a groove going, then it'll get trickier.

Another thing to consider is how the character will develop. Do you have a good story set for them? I've had other characters in mind myself in the past but ultimately had no story for them and lost interest. You should also consider planning moves and whatnot; though moves don't necessarily MAKE the character, they are a nice flavor thing. Same thing with powers. A large driving force for me with Kakashi right now is getting all the powers for his kit together. It gives me motivation and forces me to think of story ideas for how they'd manifest, which keeps him interesting to me.
