Lack of Direction
#1
So I have some concerns I need to air about my writing and how I'm doing so far. I honestly dont even know if this post should go here or in the Help Desk

The elephant in the room: I cant seem to muster up any kind of direction for Dell. I have ideas, but no idea how to execute them.

Should I try to get into someone else's (read: someone more experienced than I am at writing and plotting and stuff) thread? My own experience tells me that having two or more people in any given RP makes it easier to write as you only have to do a portion of the work. Obviously its different for overly large groups but I digress.

I am open to suggestions.

Well one thing that might really help is getting into a faction, that way you can focus on faction quests, or like you said, join someone in a thread
All warfare is based on deception.

Getting together with some other people is always a grand idea, as interaction does a lot for fleshing out your character. Find someone interested in RP, join their thread, and see what happens! You can discover a lot about what you want to do, just from talking to someone else.

I agree with hopping in with someone else. I've had similar situations of not knowing what to do with my character in the past and joining up with a person/group always resolves it. Working with others forces you to figure out how your character would deal with situations and differing personality types and does more to stir the creative pot that solo-writing. (in my opinion, at least)
