So, AFAIK Sasuke is still within the confines of the saga's verse. With that in mind I will not consider him eligible to challenge until he has exited the verse. With that in mind, no time limits are in place nor any rules about buying shit.

Sasuke can exit the verse at any time he pleases and at that point he will be eligible to track/challenge.

As a saga verse is not technically connected by gates to any normal verse it is a special circumstance. Regardless, I would not consider it eligible to challenge someone inside a saga when you are outside the saga.

I'm hoping. This ruling will extend into the future, and cover future conflicts about challenging people still in sagas.

However, even IF Sasuke avoids us, he will certainly be High Profile, and in an adjacent verse, so regardless of any of that he will be a valid challenge target.

As far as claiming the Going Away topic, I find it highly suspect that he posted in that AFTER a public challenge was issued. If he doesn't have time to fight, that's fine, but he should forfeit.

So the going away post is not valid for this?

The challenge is simply invalid from the get go. That they revealed their plans OOC and Sauske might want to push that off for later, or any OOC reason is peanuts. He isn't actually in a PvP challenge yet.

Given that the defender has over a week from this point to respond to the challenge, I will consider any reasons at that time. Chances are that the artefacts will default to the challenger without a fight. At which point you can fight among yourselves for the artefacts or what have you.

Having spoken with Sasuke, it looks as though he is to accept the challenge.

Sasuke is only able to post on the weekends at the moment. In order to accommodate that, I will be extending each round to take one week. That means that anyone able to post during the weekdays will be able to do so, and Sasuke and anyone else only able to post during the weekend will be able to make a post then. This does mean that the fight, excluding preludes and aftermaths, will take a total of three weeks, but I consider that reasonable for a fight of this size and complexity.

Sasuke would also prefer the fight to start after this weekend. Essentially it has to start at some point during the next two weeks. I asked him to have a think about this so it's currently open, but during this time if anyone else has any preferences, please voice them here.

We will be using a calling system as per normal group rules. This means that when you are ready to begin writing and there is nobody in the queue, you may 'call' a post in the Fight discussion topic (I will make a new topic when the fight begins). You will then have a specified amount of time to make your post before the right to call 'opens' again. The default is 2 hours but I would also like to take a poll on this for preferences.

The default word count limits for each post is 800 words. Given the one-post-a-week nature of this competion, I think a good limit would be 1200 words. Please also give your opinions on this and I will try to make everyone happy with the ultimate ruleset.
