The Temple of Artemis(Finale)
#1
Blues limped towards the palace, donning the armor of the fallen Hero. His body aching but he knew his quest was over. The porcelain steps felt like mountains as his legs felt as if they could move no more. He couldn’t help but smile that his journey has come to an end and that the bloodshed will finally cease. He finally got to the top of the steps and saw the fog wall that barred himself from Teucer who was finally going to be free. He put his hand up to the fog wall and the air molded around his armored body. The familiar sight of the inside of the temple welcomed him.

However, his expectations of Teucer welcoming him and thanking him for his hard work would not come true. He looked towards the pedestal and saw Teucer flinging sparks of magic at the all too familiar purple apparition. The Warlock’s form was staticy and seemed to patch in and out of this world. The two were permanently engaged in combat, with the fake hope that their own magic would overcome the others. Teucer turned his head to see Blues standing their with all the relics collected.

“Great! Hero-”He grunted as he was starting to get pushed back by the Warlock’s overwhelming force. “Here! This will help you. Capture his soul and you will all be set free. All you need to do is contact his body with that stone. ” He released one hand from channeling magic to allow a small portal to open above Blues. A small clear crystal opened above him as Teucer was flung back and forced to concentrate on forcing Aka back.

The Warlock turned it’s head towards Blues. “Do not listen to him, he is deceiving you. He wishes to possess your body and return to life. Why else would he encourage such violence on your part? You have been deemed the strongest of those he brought here. Capture his soul instead!” The Warlock grunted as his magic was being pushed back.

Teucer protested, “He’s lying to you hero! Please choose soon!” The two Spirits fought waiting for Blues to do something.

Quote: Proto Man now has three options to choose from to determine his relic/the ending.
Proto Man can assist Teucer and capture The Warlock’s Soul. He will receive the artefact “The Soul Gem of the Warlock”
Proto can assist the Warlock and capture Teucer’s Soul. He will receive the artefact “The Soul Gem of the Hero.”
Proto can choose neither option and destroy the armor killing both Spirits. This will result no artefact being formed.

The Soul Gem of the Warlock- Whenever a super move is targeted towards you, you may use the Artefact to challenge that super move with an equal tier super move. The artefact glows and many bright orbs appear above your head before flying towards the opponent. Cost 0 SP can be used once per battle.

The Soul Gem of the Hero- Doubles regenerative abilities through natural causes, OM use, powers, and SP use.

Proto Man blinked as he watched the two ghosts once again acting out their rivalry.

With a scowl on his face, the preteen machine made his way across the lobby. In his hand, he held the sword of the hero. The two apparitions exchanged bolts of energy, their focus shifting back to one another as they fought to finally bring an end to their rivalry.

“End him!” Teucer shouted, his eyes wide with fear as the Warlock released a burst of sparkling spectral electricity into his gut. As the Spirit doubled over in pain, the purple-tinted ghost turned to glare down at the approaching machine.

“Finish him!” The Warlock bellowed, pointing a withered digit toward his rival. “He’s been using you… He wants to keep using you!”

The machine thrust the sword at the purple ghost and scowled. “What did that lady ever do to you?” The blade started to glow. “What did any of those people ever do to you to make you want to hurt them?” Bolts of energy skittered along the sword as the Warlock’s sneer started to melt away—he knew he’d played his last card.

“Don’t be a tool.” The phantom rasped.

“Please just stop,” Proto Man muttered. “I have a friend. A good friend. He’s a kind, gentle friend, who would gladly offer you a hundred chances. The experience of humanity that you provided me, in an effort to weaken me and make me vulnerable to this world, has taught me one thing above all…

“I don’t give second chances.”

A beam of energy screamed forth from the sword—its light consuming the Warlock. The purple ghost roared defiantly as his body withered beneath the blinding sparkle of the hero’s sword. Within moments, the light faded away and a small gem dropped out of the air, landing soundlessly at the robot’s feet. At the sight of his rival reduced to a glittering gem, the Spirit swelled with pride as he turned his attention to the sullen robot.

“You’ve do—”

“No,” Proto Man barked, turning his eyes and the sword toward Teucer. “You send everyone back right now.”

“Of course,” the Spirit said, nodding his head. “Of course.”

“And if I ever discover that there was a lick of truth to a thing that creature said, you can bet that I will find you wherever you may be…

“And I’m certain you understand the type of Man I am.”

Teucer remained silent.

The Spirit nodded his head and slammed his hands to the ground. White lights surrounded every prime and they all looked at one another. They all smiled at one another, their bruised bodies begging to be released from this place. They all closed their eyes and welcomed the all to known sensation of falling.

Everyone but Blues was off of this Island, away from this week of torture. Teucer smiled faintly at the Hero, his spirit seeming to fade away into the light. "Thank you Hero." His smiled seemed genuine and his face was no longer covered in pain. "Is there any questions you have for me Hero? I'll answer any I can before I am reunited with my family. It is the least I can do."

"Did you even bother to screen half those people? Half of them were more than willing to turn on their peers the moment you dangled a prize in front of their faces. That robot wanted to kill Mickey as some sort of blood sport, and that demon didn't hesitate to try and kill Belle."

"Yet in the end he went with peace."

Proto Man nodded. "Yes, I know, but surely with your powers and the time you had, you could have ensured you had enough good-natured individuals. Lots of people died, and while I know death here isn't permanent, it's nevertheless a jarring experience."

The Spirit frowned and he turned to the foggy door the prevented him from leaving this place. "Do you see this door?" The mist swirling around, tensing up whenever Tecuer got closer to it.

"I could see you primes almost as if I was looking through this door, very vaguely and without a clue to what your true intentions were. Some of you had heroic feats accomplished and others had the feeling that they were good of heart. The Warlock had a mighty prison for me here." His hand tracing the door even though it became as solid as the walls as is wispy fingers traced it.

Proto Man didn't buy the excuse.

But he didn't think the man was lying to him, either.

"I'm ready to go home now," the preteen machine replied. "I miss my friends already."

"Very Well." The Spirit nodded and the ground vanished beneath Proto Man.

Blues last sight of this world was Teucer's smile of gratitude before his soul wisped away to the afterlife.
