I would say no, unless the summon time is instant. Smith has had time to prepare for this because he was betrayed and murdered. It's a little weird to start talking about fairness now.

1. anything is fair in sagas, this is pretty much an unwritten rule.

2. Yeah we should, because it isn't fair getting ambushed right after a saga. There should definitely be some type of mercy period for those who exit sagas, just like there's one for people who recently die.

To clarify the ruling, it simply means that you cannot delay the fight longer than 7 OOC days.

Everything IC is in past-tense, thus happened in the past. I can decide wherever in that past I want things to take place. If I wanted DP to buy things, I can merely mention I've already had it, and then flashback to the point of purchase (or creation)

as long as i purchased everything before coming to the fight (ooc), i should be good.

Ambushes aren't MEANT to be fair. That's why they're ambushes. Smith sent out a beacon ahead of time, in anticipation of setting up an ambush against an unprepared opponent.

If people wanna come in and help him, that's cool! Follow the rules for that. Can't have 2 characters interacting in a mechanically meaningful way. Can't be creating items retroactively.

As to Desco: Sasuke never opted into the flaghing system, and EVEN IF HE DID, he wouldn't be able to flag Red because he's carrying artefacts. You can't just sit on your hoard and claim preference.

im talking about purchasing things OOC. I can do that whenever before the fight starts.

Then I can merely flashback to the point of purchase, to explain how/when i got it.

Obviously summoning something in the middle of a fight takes time.

For example, saying in the middle of a player fight or staff-run storyline, "And before the fight, Zan stowed smoke bombs in his pocket ... which is convenient for the present" or otherwise majorly retconning events is not allowed. As with everything else, if you're confused or if you think something is borderline, ask staff first!

Once the challenge has been acknowledged, players agree on when to start the fight. A player has up to seven OOC days from the initial challenge in order to prepare themselves for the fight, but it may not be delayed any longer unless agreed upon by both players. From the time the challenge is issued, no involved players may purchase items, powers, or anything else, nor move verses, unless ruled otherwise by the judge. Players may wish to post before the fight begins, setting up the fight in-character, but these posts will not count towards the fight itself.

Trunks: You seriously need to stop defending Sasuke. His character made IC decisions that he has to live with. Just because you have Trunks and Deadpool doesn't mean you can use both in this fight. I've already seen you reply as Deadpool which means Trunks would have to sit out. So yeah. There's that. I don't understand what is so hard to comprehend about people wanting artifacts. He's a target IC for IC reasons. Live with it.
