So this is an idea I've been tinkering with since I became staff. It took a lot of playing around with visuals for me to find a form that worked, but I'm happy to say I got one. A big 'thank you to current and former staff for their extreme help with all of this.

Achievements are out-of-character awards that reflect all that a character has managed to accomplish in his, her, or its time in the Omniverse. They range from small, first-day events to the culmination of a grand storyline or the end of long exodus.
How do achievements work? How do I get them?
It’s simply… you just write, and when you’ve fulfilled the requirements, the achievement is yours. The best part is that you can handle all of this yourself… no waiting in lines for updates or twiddling your thumbs.
What are Achievements? What is the Purpose? - Here at the Omniverse, we have 90+ achievements (and more will be added as time goes on) for your characters to unlock. The list of Achievements will be at the end of this post. The key thing is to know that every Achievement has a set number of Achievement Points associated with it. It’s important to keep track of these points, because having a more Achievement Points lets you unlock the next level of a fancy badge that you can display on your roster. While Achievements are based on in-character accomplishments, they are solely an out-of-character ‘thing’ that has no benefit to your characters in-game. On more time in case it wasn't clear -- This has no in-game benefit.
I did that thing… How I get? – Achievements will be logged by you, the member, in your character’s roster. For those of you with two characters, each character gets their own achievements. This means that only the character you post as qualifies to unlock an achievement. Not a secondary, not a personal NPC… just the prime you joined as. Achievements are logged in what we call an ‘Achievements Showcase.’ That’s just a post in your Roster thread where you’ll show off your Achievement Icons, your total Achievement Points, and your current badge. This is something that's managed by you, the member, although staff will occasionally audit these along with the rest of your Roster.
Below is an example template of what your Achievements Showcase should look like. If you’re still a little fuzzy, you should check out the Roster for a staff member. Open it up, as it's extends the page quite a bit.

This way, you can showcase all of the little icons for the achievements with your Badge. It also allows the staff to quickly audit anyone for whatever reason. Remember that some achievements may require multiple links.
What’s the Badge?
As you gain Achievement points, you unlock the ability to display an awesome Badge anywhere on your roster. Most people might put it in their Achievements showcase, but anywhere is fine.
