About the Author: Why this character?
#41
SCREW THIS, I'LL KEEP THE TRAIN GOING
John Wick, The Raid and a liiittttle bit of Collateral
I'm pretty serious. Those three movies secured my fate on what I was going to make.
And this scene is why I want for 2 SPD and 4 TEC (Thinking I should've given Kalli a pistol rather than a rifle right now)

So you can tell Kalli took inspiration for adrenaline rushing action films and badass characters, though the reason why I didn't actually take John Wick or The Raid's protagonist Rama/Collaterals Tom Cruise is for my own personal reasons. Other than those three films, I was looking at Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain a whole bunch, which then made me make Kalli a more stealth focused character. And lastly- I like 'badass normals', the kind of people without super powers or access to genetic modifications, because whats better than facing a gigantic cthulhu-esque monster with nothing more than balls of steel? Alright, maybe a lot of things are better than that, but I personally like stories where the most average, cannon foddery people rise up to be awesome.

YEAH I didn't take any of the characters from those three films because- and this goes a long way back to when I was born -I hate not having created my own content. Weird I know, I just need to create my own things so I decided to just take all my inspirations and dump it into a bird alien raptor character thing. Y'know. Because space alien bird raptor woman are totally normal *sarcasm intensifies*

Here we go.

Jupiter (11-09-2015 - 3/30/2016)

Jupes was my very first OC. Created when I was about 9. Revised so many times that I couldn't count.

Dawson Guidio represented all that I wanted to be, at first. A hero, someone that people could count on. After a while, I realized that heroes like that were simply fiction. I started revising him. Added in Project Jupiter, the Incident, et cetera. But still, his story was flat. So I cushioned it with characters added to the story, a plot, a lot of bells and whistles. A lot darker. He became something so wildly different than planned out. I chose to have him as a muse, because he represented my first steps into RP. He was a character I could fall back on when all others failed.

But one day, he disappeared. Just poofed into thin air. Writing for him became a hassle. So after about two months, I simply let him go. He might come back, might not. If he does, hey, NPC Primes all up in the wazoo.

Noodle (2-16-2016 - Present)

Noodle was my first female muse.

So as you can tell, it was a little rough. on the onset. But I kept on, so here she is. I picked her up because she represented my fall from childlike innocence. When I actually learned about the world. Because she's done the same thing. And she learned hard. I suppose I may have also picked her up because of my love of music. Because that's been there for so long, I don't even remember. It was natural to go for a character who loved music as much as I did. So there, that's Noodle for ya.

PS: Yes, I have plans for her. Just let me get my writing will back up. It's comin'. Mr. Sage, you ain't ready.

Judy Hopps (3/30/16 - Present)

Judy here is the wild card character. The one that came up like "'SUP MOTHERFUCKER."

Story behind it is, my sister and I went to go see Zootopia. Thought I wouldn't like it, but it was actually really good, and is now my fave Disney movie. About a day later, I was writing on Tumblr, for Apollo (separate muse, pay no mind). I noticed I was slightly out of character. Apollo was too happy for whatever reason. So I took to thinking while scrolling the dash, when it clicked. Apollo wasn't driving. It was Judy. So I decided "hey! i'll just make an RP blog, see how it pans out." It worked incredibly well. She became an extremely dominant muse, and still is so today.

To Conclude (7-18-2014 - Present)

Just imagine my head like the Inside Out headquarters. In there you'll find everyone I've stuck with for longer than 3 weeks. Jupes, Apollo, Sans, Judy, Noodle, and Sonic. Plus a few ghosts of dead muses, struggling to return, and occasionally doing so. All of which battling for control. That's my head right now, and how it's been for nearly three years.

Let's hope it never changes.

Madotsuki has actually been my main muse ever since the day I got into the Yume Nikki fandom. She's just... well, it impressed me how much I could actually tell about her without needing a single word. The main problem with turning her into a developed character was that the information I could figure out from her was just vague enough that my idea of her wouldn't stay put, especially since I hadn't started roleplaying with her yet. However, she eventually solidified into the fearless half-baku that you guys see today when I started using her in some multifandom roleplays on Neopets. There was a lull in the multifandom rps, so I decided to search elsewhere. And then I found you guys. As soon as I saw the quests in Coruscant, it just clicked with me what I intended to do with her. Right now she's sliding the slippery slope between neutral and evil, considering that she has a tendency to meet up with the wrong kind of people and her determination won't let her back down. She may turn downright psychopathic if worse comes to worse.

And I chose Mei because she was my favorite Overwatch character, 'nuff said. This is actually my first time with her, but thankfully her personality is a lot more solid than Madotsuki's.

All right, let's pull out all the stops for this one since everyone else seems to be doing some of their muses too:

Creatia Weatherly:
Dear lord, this child woman. At first, she was a vague idea that turned into my answer to an ex telling me I couldn't use one of my older main OCs. Apparently she didn't "fit" his world, so I said to myself: "Okay then, I'll make someone who does fit!" Thus the idea of Creatia fully started to tick for me. I wanted someone cute, capable of comedy, and fit any "aesthetics" my ex had in his comics and crap. Her original concept was much different than she is now (she was complete female, chunky, and had big boobs.). Even though I moved on from him, Creatia just... Stuck, changing the more I drew her. When I was invited to do my very first group RP, a very casual Vocaloid group, I decided to toss in Creatia to test the waters before bringing in my main. She's my most versatile character for RP nowadays, and her shy friendliness is easy for me to implement any day.

Lexi Rhodes:
This. Feisty. Thing. She came about from one of my many attempts to immortalize myself as a character. Somehow, during that group RP with Creatia, I just started RPing as Creatia's friend. Then as the days grew by, I noticed that my personality was getting bolder and wilder RP-wise. It hit me to just stop saying it's me as a creator, make this one a new OC, and name her Lexi to separate her from myself. Best move I have ever made. A secret agent with a dominating wild streak and a knack for willingly doing the most dangerous stunts, she is absolutely nothing like me. And that's just how I like it. She's the muse I call on to give me a sharp edge and a casual but present sense of danger.

Maxwell White:
Do you want sophistication? You'll get it through Maxwell. He's the one I fall back on when I want to feel smart. Despite his hidden naïve nature, he's a strong man with a strong sense of duty. The stoic one of the group that wants to stay that way, even when it's clear he's not that cold. How he came about was actually kind of a fluke. I tried to draw Archer from Fate/Stay Night once for fanart practice, but the starting result did not look right. However... I liked what I saw, and added a few more features. I ran with it from there and named him Maxwell. His personality came to me easily later on, though he's my more trolling muse than the others.... Aside from Lexi.

Consider those three your welcoming committee to my small RP and OC muse brigade that likes to scare me with how frighteningly different they are from my own personality.

I chose Glory because she comes from my favorite fictional series of all time: Wings of Fire.

I also chose her because I was inspired by the fanfiction Switcheroo (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11656027/1/Switcheroo) to make her human here.

So, I'm not just gonna do this for my Omniverse characters, but for the whole nine yards, all the RP characters I tend to use in more than one roleplay.

Mick Rory(Omniverse - 2016)

"Why do they call you people the heat? I'M THE HEAT!"

I'm gonna be honest here...I'm not sure what captivates me about Mick so much that he ended up being my major muse for the Omniverse, and potentially the one that ends up being the one to lead me to victory town, AKA that point where I unlock an alt. He was really chosen on a whim, I have to admit. Choices on a whim normally don't end well. But here we are now, with Mick Rory still heading somewhat strong. This was the first site where I ever tried roleplaying as Mick Rory regularly, too. And it's gone well so far.

James Locke(Various - 2016)

"You want me to be afraid. But I'm not. You want me to fear you. But I don't. In my line of work...Fear is not an option."

James is, technically speaking, my first OC that isn't just a block of featureless cheese. That might be why he still captivates me to this day. He started out with said block of featureless cheese. Then you get the chainsaw. You don't have to use a chainsaw. It's just more fun that way.

His first variation was just, in essential form, a daydream. The Dreamer title wasn't even applied to him yet. "Nightmares" composed of..Well, gonna be honest, prototype Nightmares were just various media characters...Were attacking. He got his signature katanas Zephyr and Pearl, and various abilities, being able to claim "Moduses" based off of the Nightmares he defeats, and then use them with some weird high-tech watch. The one that made it past development ended up becoming his signature lategame power, the Quantum modus, after the entire modus thing was placed on the chopping block.

His second variation was more in-depth. He gained a name, James Locke. A world, not just the real world with an army of pop culture references ready to murder him. A personality, that even changes over time in-universe, going from a wisecracking action movie hero wannabe to a character with a dark, and, I'm gonna be honest, kind of edgelord personality, within 6 months. This is where most of the changes I kept take place. The Nightmares were refined into their current state(mostly), and his Modus abilities were completely removed.

His third variation, was one that was more of an over-time thing. I found him a bit underpowered, in a world full of demonic creatures ready to kill anything that moves. So, I started with something simple - I prevented him from being completely disarmed, giving him the ability to summon and desummon his weaponry at will. Then, I found him still underpowered. So, I looked back at my Modus notes, to bring back one particular Modus as his power. The one that captivated me most was Quantum - time manipulation abilities. I gave him those, with the caveat that they had to be discovered over a long course of time before they could be used.

Then, I looked back at my villain notes and realized something; the big bad had a full-on one-winged angel mode, that James wouldn't be able to beat alone. So, I gave him a last resort ability; Avatar of Hope. It transforms him into, well, an avatar of the Hope aspect of the emotional spectrum. I still beat myself up about stealing a DC Comics concept, but whatever.

At the same time as all that, I gave him two supporting characters; Anne Locke, his sister, who has, thus far, just sat on their lazy butt and played video games(much like me). We might actually be seeing them soon. The other...Was Surayel Alfur.

Surayel Alfur/Al'Sfur K'Tar (2016)

"Everything I do...Everything I say...It's all for the greater good. And isn't that what we're doing here in the first place?"

Surayel is an interesting concept. From the beginning, I knew I wanted him to play a mentor role with James. James had a wide range of abilities, and he knew how to use absolutely none of them. So, I wrote up an outline for Surayel, as a Dream with no strong combat abilities of his own(just a very weak glowing red revolver), and a high scientific mind. Nicknamed him the Doctor of Dreams. Then, I realized...James' powers are limited. He won't be needed forever. And what will Surayel do then?

So, I wrote more. Gave him a Nightmare identity...Al'Sfur K'Tar...Made it to where the supposed Doctor of Dreams, was really the Knight of Nightmares. Gave him a hidden tachyon device, allowing him to temporarily replicate Quantum abilities. And gave him a "greater good" mindset, having him know of the cruelty presented across the Earth, and deciding to make sure, under Nightmare rule, that all stops. But he'd need to drain James' Quantum abilities - which need to be unleashed first - due to his own tachyon device being inefficient. And that's what Surayel...Al'Sfur...Is now.

And that's pretty much it.

Jams used to just be a self insert I made in elementary school, and his story back then was just called "ADventures." It was basically all kinds of adventures I'd love to go on but couldn't because reality sucks n' stuff. Anyway, he's been with me since I made my first... *ahem* "official" book in 4th-5th grade, and has basically been my main character ever since. I think it's through his evolution and deviation into his own personality over literal years that I may have formed a sort of bond with the character, sorta like a friendship rather than a self insert. So, it's only natural that I'd choose him as my go-in character for the Omniverse.

Dan is also a character I remember fondly from childhood, though obviously he isn't an original entity. Used to watch the show while growing up, even started to get more angry as a result but that's irrelevant. He was one of my later choices of characters for the Omniverse, and I think it was an excellent choice thus far! As with everyone, there are some personalities that I may struggle to see, like there are some around the corner that I don't know about until I investigate, and that, combined with the fact that I'd love to play an angry, snarky character, is probably why I chose him. It's good to get a good feel for characters that you respect but wouldn't write as otherwise, as it expands the horizons of your potential ideas. And... yeah, gonna end that there before I realize I don't understand a word I'm saying.
