Lately I've had the overwhelming urge to draw shit. I finally broke down and drew something up. As a wanna-be game designer I want to become a great artist, so please I beg for your honest opinions should you take the few moments to examine my art.
I'm not too confident in my ability to draw so it wont hurt me if you say it totally sucks. Well...enjoy, I guess.

No, no. This is actually very good. I'd say you're above average in drawing ability. Did you use any reference images? That could help you get the proportions right, if you're willing. Remember, being able to draw is not a natural talent by any means, just like writing, and it takes practice and observation to make something work! You may surprise yourself with what you can turn out. :-)
Just saying "practice" is dumb advice, though. Look at the people around you. Look for familiar shapes that you can mimic with a pencil. If you don't wanna seem like a total creep, Google images or look at yourself in a mirror. Try to get a general, loose shape down, and then go in for the detail.
I'd start with drawing hands, but I've spent hours trying to get the curve of my chin and eyebrows just right when sitting on a bathroom counter. I typically work in rounded shapes and organic blobs based on the shadows I see cast over a face before drawing the face itself around them. There's no wrong way to practice.
You can even trace many different pictures of hair or differently positioned limbs until you have an approximate memory sketch in your mind. I did this with goldfish and now I can basically draw them from memory without copying a stock image while adding my own personal flair to them. I'm not a professional artist by any means, but this is how I became comfortable with my own drawing experience. Even though your art style might not appear to be changing quick enough for you, over time it will definitely show.
If you'd like, I could possibly scare up some tutorials and general advice from concept artists for you. I have an enormous stockpile of references saved, although I haven't used all of them.

I did not use a reference picture. My style came from tracing picture of a friends work, she gave me a base that helped me learn a human shape. I just can't draw hands, so I need to work on that. :3

It's pretty good! Definitely an artist in the making. I will point out the two glaring features, though, just to help you improve. I'm not used to giving criticism for pictures, so if either the problems or solutions get a tad sketchy (heh heh mug: ), take it with a grain of salt.
1) Her left leg is drawn weirdly. It's longer than the other and is positioned so high that it looks like she's sitting on her side. I would recommend imagining how they would look when aligned straight, then how they would look bent so as to make sure one is not longer than the other. That's what I do for arm/leg length, at least. As for the position, try just drawing her general figure in light lines first and then drawing things like skirts or hoods on later. It makes it a lot easier when you know she looks natural as is rather than having to design around her fashion sense. Sorry if this doesn't help, I'm trying to explain it as best I can.
2) The bench is wonky in design, as if the carpenter who made it deserves to get fired. I would recommend lightly sketching the bench first, then drawing the character over it. Erase all the lines from the bench that overlap, then when you're done, go back over and trace it in a darker color. It will help the bench look more rectangular while allowing you to not really harm the character's outline.

Good advice, I'll take it into consideration. As for the second part, the bench didn't matter to me at all. I understand it makes the picture look better if everything looks well in conjuction with each other, but my main focus was Dawn I actually drew the bench because I had thought about putting focus on the immediate area. (Meaning just a line under her body.)

Ook a little time to edit my mistakes and add a little bit more. Fixed her leg length, attempted to make her thigh look better so it would look less like she was sitting on her side, and added a design with the bench that suits my style.
Also, if anyone would like me to draw something for them, just ask. It'll help my drawing skill and you'll get something cool. Win/win.

Sooooooo... Anything? How about you draw a cat. I love cats, and it'll help you learn to draw, as you said. I am attempting to improve my artistic ability as well, so let's make a compromise: you take up my proposition, and you suggest something for me to draw as well. I'll readily accept the challenge, even though it might take me a while to make it just right so my mind doesn't feel guilty displaying it.

Well, I can only draw 2-D/anime. I will draw deh cat, you can try drawing...mmm~ a wolf. Wolves can be tough to draw, I had a lot of practice drawing them.

Here's the wolf, hopefully I didn't mess up the attachment. I prefer 2-D as well, and tend to stay in black and white, using charcoal or pencil. Erasers are my best friends.

I could try~ but I've never done an undead before. Might not turn out very well.
