Move Creation Workshop
AUGMENTED BROOM - 600 OM (Physical, Debuff)
Akin to a staff, but can sweep dust into the eyes of one person (enough to shroud a normal human head) from up to 6 feet away. Must be in a dusty area to use, like a desert or a dusty room. Takes about one second to charge, blinds a single person for up to 3 seconds.
Death Count: 0
Banish Count: 0
Would this be a move or an ability?

Poison Factory - Inside the body of MFISSA0001 is a factory to make poisons which then can be dispensed from his finger into any food or drink unnoticed.

If it is move then what proficiency would it need?
Nevermind
Bomb Setting - Tier 2 Super Attack Move (Area Attack Proficiency, Ranged Proficiency) (800 OM)
Thanks to some recent help from a certain benefactor, Ballad has been able to improve his Bomb Setting to its previous power. It is activated by Ballad pressing down on a green button on the barrel of his revolver, which counts down to a five second countdown. He then tosses it at his opponent, with the hope that the opponent would be caught in the blast radius. The blast radius is around six feet, and deals a hefty amount of damage through shrapnel and the resulting explosion. Upon explosion, the revolver reappears inside Ballad's holster a minute later, unloaded.
Quote:I think this might be a case of Improving a Move? Will need confirmation on that.

Blast From the Past (requires Telepathy, requires Ranged Proficiency, requires Debuff Proficiency.) (600 OM)

Arguably one of Ballad's most powerful moves in his arsenal. During combat, Ballad will force himself to lower his defenses to a sizable degree, leaving him vulnerable to attack so he can concentrate. During this time, he is staring at his opponent, his eyes slowly turning white during the process. Eventually, after around seven seconds passed, he blinks, then proceeds to say something related to the past, catching the opponent off guard and allowing Ballad to counter attack.

The pros of the move is that, if successful, the move can cause the person it is used against to possibly feel shocked and uncertain, hurting their ability to fight significantly. It also applies a "image assault" ability, where any time Ballad ends up mentioning the memory in question, it flashes in the person's mind, which further distracts them and gives Ballad a bigger advantage.

The cons, however, severely outweigh the pros. For starters, he is heavily vulnerable during the seven second process, which can severely injure him if not used properly. Also, Primes with a TEC equal to or higher than his own can block it effectively with concentration of their own, which can result in the move being a lot less effective than if their TEC was lower.
Quote:Mostly an experimental move just to see if I could even do it xD

While the other move I'm waiting for approval on is still waiting for approval, gonna work on my next one.

Acidic Spray - 300 OM(Requires Ranged Attack Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency, Debuff Proficiency)

Acidic chemicals spray out of the flower on Joker's jacket. The spray reaches a 3 feet by 3 feet range, in a cone shape in front of Joker. Anything hit with the spray is covered with toxins that will eat away at them for 10 seconds, or when they get the acid off - whichever comes first. The initial spray doesn't hurt; the acid, however, does. This has a cooldown of 10 seconds before it can be used again, and overusing the attack tends to get acid on the flower - disabling both this move and the Laughing Gas Spray(assuming it gets approved).

If I were to purchase spin attack, as in the Ocarina of Time version where you are able to do one of three things; 1 instantly spin, using only the blade as an attack, 2 charge the attack for a couple of seconds and unleash a wave of energy and finally 3, charge the attack for a whole 5 seconds and unleash a wider, stronger spread of energy, what Om would I be looking at spending on that?
900 OM
Fo' definite?
Three different ways you can use it. Should be obvious, my man. :frog:
"Hold on a second, I have a call..."
"Yes, this is Wesker. Go ahead."
Pretty certain. 300 OM for each move variant, even if they all fall under the 'spin attack' umbrella.
Just thought I'd double check, given that the first use would technically be usable by anyone with area attack and physical strength, without the purchase of a move, or at least that's as far as I'm aware.

But right you are, sir! And so 900 it shall be.
I mean technically, you're right in that the first use would be just a basic maneuver anyone could do. But if you want to include it as part of the move, making it stronger than just twirling around like a fool with your sword, that's where the extra cost would come in. If you just wanna make that particular aspect a normal, fancy sword swipe and not part of the actual Move, you would only need to pay for the charged variants, making it a 600 move.
"Hold on a second, I have a call..."
"Yes, this is Wesker. Go ahead."
Righto. Thanks for the clarification!
Spitballing some ideas with the Buff prof. It hasn't seen a lot of use that I'm aware of, so here's a few ideas. All skills use Buff prof, and any extras are mentioned where applicable.

Concentration Aura (Ranged?): [Character] becomes motionless, kneeling and gripping his mace. He is surrounded by a silver etching in the ground that radiates light. [Character] may pick one ally and increase their TEC skill by +1. He cannot move while performing this skill, and the aura is broken if he takes damage.

Retribution Aura (Ranged): [Character] becomes motionless, kneeling and gripping his mace. He is surrounded by a red-orange circle etching in the ground, with spikes jutting outwards. [Character] gives all nearby allies (within five metres) this aura, which does light damage (akin to a painful buzz or shock) to anyone who attacks them. He cannot move while performing this skill, and the aura is broken if he takes damage.

Hand of Sacrifice: [Character] clasps the shoulder of an ally and they shimmer with white light for a few seconds. [Character] then becomes motionless. Any damage, including fatal (?), done to the ally is transferred directly to [Character]. He cannot move while this spell is active, and the spell is broken if he takes damage from a source other than the spell.

Hand of Protection (Area Shield, Ranged): [Character] infuses an ally with a shield of Holy Light that protects them from attacks relative to the ally's own DEF stat. This ability takes about three seconds to channel, and can be done from range.
Buster Sword (To be used after Graveyard) (300 OM - Requires Physical Strength): A weapon that Ruby brought back from the Hero's Graveyard, it is a simple giant sword that stands at roughly 6' with an approximately one foot wide blade. In a real world, the weapon would weigh at least 80 pounds, but due to Omniphysics it has been scaled to Ruby's own strength, proving only as heavy as her usual weapon, Crescent Rose.
[spoiler][Image: latest?cb=20131218182539][/spoiler]

(NPC Qrow) Upgrade - Greatsword (600 + 300 OM - Requires Physical Strength, Ranged Proficiency): Qrow wields a large, silver, single-edged sword with some kind of tribal pattern running along where the fuller would be. A pair of gunbarrels flank the blade at the hilt, connecting up to a circular clockwork mechanism that seems to accommodate all the different forms the weapon can take. A hole is located in the blade in front of the clockwork mechanism, and a pair of parallel handguards come downwards. The handle is crimson with a black pommel, and is long enough to accommodate both hands at different distances apart.

The weapon has four modes; the first is a compact mode, where the blade retracts in on itself, becoming around half the size it was and making it less of a burden to carry. The second is the sword itself, and the third is a long range shotgun, with a buckshot-like spread fired from each barrel. In this mode the blade is curved downwards, providing an open field for firing. The shotgun is accurate at a surprising fifteen meters, and after that the cone of buckshot begins to spread out more widely. The fourth and final mode creates Qrow's most proficient weapon; a scythe. The blade of his sword splits at multiple sections and begins to folds backwards, forming a seemingly awkward scythe with the blade on the outside. However, as the handle of the weapon extends out, the blunt side of the blade opens up and a crimson blade emerges from the gap, completing the weapon.

Alternate Form: Sonny (2000): Over the course of 4 seconds, Somerled dissolves his body, allowing Sonny to use the magic to recreate his own body at the same time, essentially overwriting Somerled’s body.
Sonny, though he still has the same monstrous strength as his other half, doesn’t have the same drive to use it, and lacks combat experience. However, as a being who wields magic that destroys and disperses, he constantly has a field of dispersion magic around him that softens blows.
Attack: 4
Defense: 5
Speed: 1
Technique: 0

Bullwhip (Physical) (300?): A recreation of the weapon given to Somerled during the Hero's Graveyard. It is a 10 foot long, 12 plait, kangaroo hide whip. While not one of the strongest weapons out there, when it hits something right, it can wrap around, allowing Somerled to either pull himself to it, or it to him. For some unknown reason, it plays the theme song to "Indiana Jones" whenever it's cracked.

So I am not sure how to create this, I assume it would be a move however.
Paul has "Voice". Think of it as a "these are not the droids you are looking for" kind of thing, though a bit more forceful. I was thinking of something like this?

Bene Gesserit Voice (300 OM)
By altering the tonal qualities of the voice, Paul can greatly influence others. This can only be used on characters who have a TEC score lower than or equal to Paul's. Voice can only be used for simple commands in combat, such as temporarily staying the hand of an opponent for a moment. It has diminishing returns and after a command or two the opponent will no longer be susceptible to it (conciser Paul's TEC 1 lower each time he uses it against the same opponent within the same thread/24 hours). It cannot be used to cause the user to harm themselves, directly control them ("walk over there and do 5 jumping jacks"), or effect them for more than a dozen seconds at best. It can be used to delay actions, make creatures already willing to take the suggested action do so ("You should kill him first. I'm much less a threat"), or if used subtlety nudge an opponent towards a course of action.

Thoughts?

Somerled Murdoch Wrote:
Quote:Destabilize (Physical, Debuff) (300): In an instant, Somerled pulls magic out of his very form, causing it to destabilize, and forces it into the enemy with a strike. The unstable magic causes agonizing illusory pain to course through the target’s body for a second. This pain hallucination results in their muscles seizing up, interrupting their current action suddenly and painfully. While the pain itself won't leave any lasting physical damage, because it's entirely imagined, the experience of such an intense level of pain might freak people out. Being destabilized himself, Somerled is unable to channel magic efficiently, doubling the cast time of all his spells and making his general movement use twice as much energy. This effect lasts until his body stabilizes again, after 15 seconds. As an instant-cast spell, the charge can't be held on to, and must be used as soon as it's activated. Missing the strike doesn’t use up the magic however, and it's returned back to his body, stabilizing it immediately.

Changed version here.
Halved the length of Somerled's debuff and changed it. Instead of lowering his defense, it makes him a lot more inefficient for a while.

hmmm.. it seems good to me but there have been issues about moves effects including other moves and how the downside actually applies. Its only a simple instant interruption of action, correct? Seems alright for a instant cast debuff, but the "efficiency debuff" to yourself will probably just be taken as fodder, so keep that in mind.

Koal Lynch Wrote:Move: Scythe of Dawn (Requires Physical Proficiency, Ranged Proficiency) Cost 600 OM
Description:
The Pinnacle of Angelic power, The Scythe of Dawn was only to be wielded by the Angelic Generals who fought against the forces of Lord Vohikar and his demons. The scythe was designed to be a very deadly and effective weapon. It has a long handle of about five feet, crafted from enchanted silver to never break. The blade of the scythe itself is forged from a shadow-cast steel, giving the curved sickle blade a dark, menacing look. The blade and handle are joined by a steel gear, allowing the blade to rotate. The rotation of the blade into a spear-like position changes the weapon from a melee scythe, to a staff capable of firing beams of light at opponents. These beams can travel up to thirty meters, dealing minor wounds similar to an arrow's. These beams of light are shot from the scythe at the speed of a high velocity bullet. It takes two seconds for the gear that rotates the functions to unlock and rotate, leaving the user vulnerable for the two second period it takes to switch it back and forth.

Thoughts and criticism?

the blade part is very well put together, however the staff part needs a bit more description, just in the sense of ammo.firing rate? It is a cooldown clip kind of thing( 5 shots and then recharge), or just a rate of fire of once per second or so?

I like how you describe that there is a delay between the two, well done.

Solomon Grundy Wrote:Move Name : Grave Rot
Type: Attack, Debuff
Cost: 300 OM

Grundy focuses the necrotic and elemental energy that drives his undead body, tensing up and flexing his muscles. After focusing for about five seconds, he releases a blast of noxious and corrosive swamp gas from his mouth and pores. Anyone engaged in close proximity or physical combat with him breathes in the toxic air and is overwhelmed with a coughing fit, watering eyes, and ragged breathing as the quasi-magical energy eats at their defenses. This ability takes a long time to recharge, and the gas around Grundy dissipates after about fifteen seconds.

Any thoughts?

Alright so I'm assuming you mean "Area" attack for requirements, which is of course correct. The only thing that needs specification is the range of the cloud(radius from grundy) and the cooldown. Maybe just clarify that it takes a bit of time after the first could dissapears before you can summon another? Just to clarify, it causes basic coughing and deterred vision, correct? Other than that you are a go Mr.Grundy man

So in this case you wish to simply be able to take a second to summon a broom and sweep dust in their face? Sounds simple enough, though I don't see why it would cost 600? It's one simple action, sweep and done, soit would just be 300 there ^-^

I believe this would mostly be fodder, as you wont find it often in battle that you are offering your opponent cups of tea or an ale. If you really want to make it a move or something it would require debuff, unless you add more features to it.

Yeah for this i think it would fit better as a normal move instead of a super, but if you want to keep it as a super then i dont think the minute cooldown would be necessary, a second or two would suffice. If adjusted to a normal move maybe just 3 to 5 seconds.

Quote:Blast From the Past (requires Telepathy, requires Ranged Proficiency, requires Debuff Proficiency.) (600 OM)

Quote:Mostly an experimental move just to see if I could even do it xD

hmmm this one is pretty complex. So what I'm guessing you want to do is an flashback on your opponent, though not sure if you want them to have your own flashback or one of yours. I don't recall how tec factors into supermoves, but if they do i think you are right about how effective it is for their comparison. I would add a time for the effect, however long you think would be fair, and possibly send it in for approval or more refinement.

Joker Wrote:While the other move I'm waiting for approval on is still waiting for approval, gonna work on my next one.

This has a cooldown of 10 seconds before it can be used again, and overusing the attack tends to get acid on the flower - disabling both this move and the Laughing Gas Spray(assuming it gets approved).

how long does it take to charge the move? and what is defined by "overusing it"? it may just be regarded as rp fodder for a downside.

As for Orion I'm sorry but i have not seen many moves with the buff proficiency so i dont think i can give any solid critique on that one.

Ruby Rose Wrote:Buster Sword (To be used after Graveyard) (300 OM - Requires Physical Strength): A weapon that Ruby brought back from the Hero's Graveyard, it is a simple giant sword that stands at roughly 6' with an approximately one foot wide blade. In a real world, the weapon would weigh at least 80 pounds, but due to Omniphysics it has been scaled to Ruby's own strength, proving only as heavy as her usual weapon, Crescent Rose.

However, as the handle of the weapon extends out, the blunt side of the blade opens up and a crimson blade emerges from the gap, completing the weapon.

yeah the buster sword is basic, im sure you will have no problems with that.

As for the Greatsword, it looks good. If im reading it right, the only reason it has four modes but costs 900 is because one mode is fodder for carrying it right? if so than yeah it looks ready for an upgrade ^-^

Somerled Murdoch Wrote:Alternate Form: Sonny (2000): Over the course of 4 seconds, Somerled dissolves his body, allowing Sonny to use the magic to recreate his own body at the same time, essentially overwriting Somerled’s body.
Sonny, though he still has the same monstrous strength as his other half, doesn’t have the same drive to use it, and lacks combat experience. However, as a being who wields magic that destroys and disperses, he constantly has a field of dispersion magic around him that softens blows.
Attack: 4
Defense: 5
Speed: 1

Yeah this looks good, send it for approval. ^-^

Quote:Bullwhip (Physical) (300?): A recreation of the weapon given to Somerled during the Hero's Graveyard.

Nice xD I am not completely sure on its cost, as i do recall using a weapon for mobility adds an extra 300 for cost, but I'll have to double check, will let you know sometimes later today via PM.

Paul Atreides Wrote:So I am not sure how to create this, I assume it would be a move however.

Thoughts?

Hm... another complex move. Now the thing here is that this would definitely require cooperation from whoever you are fighting with, as these are influencing the characters instead of simple debuffing them. I would say to just have this as RP fodder and simply coordinate with those that you fight to use telepathy with their character and influence them that way. More likely to get through without much issue.

See, I don't know. It feels like it's a major thing for the character. It's defiantly a power and major one at that.
(Btw I didn't get a response in here so I moved it to official move approval after I did some work on it)
Yeah, sorry for late replies, this thread does require counity knowledge and participation, and i had been trying to get to this for weeks xD yeah i see ehat you mean that, the omly thing balancing it for power and making it specific. Its just that the use of it would be rather limited without conesnt of the other writer, at least imo. Though if you already got it in apprival thats cool too ^-^ is it approved already?
