Just for the record, I don't know the criteria for Recognition, so I don't feel comfortable giving it to people, hence why I've had no input into this thread.

Could we change that? If some of the people who applied for this actually qualify for the bonus, they're missing fortnights they could have used it on, and being that it is OM and not a vanity thing, this is kind of important.

Can I make a suggestion? If anyone in here is approved, can they get their back pay from the date that they applied for it, for every fortnight they made since then? I understand being patient, but others who have been approved are getting to take advantage of their recognition while those who are waiting are missing out, even though they qualify.

Just a thought, maybe run it by Omni? =O

Obviously if no one will get approved then this is moot, but if not, I think it would be a cool policy, and I think most members who have put in the work for it would appreciate such a policy.

Regardless we need to establish a ruling guideline for Recognition and let more staff help out with this. It can't be that difficult to determine if someone has deserved this. I graded Dragonball threads for Alex and it's nothing overly complex. You just need to weigh whether or not what a person has written warrants the reward they're asking for. You take into consideration quality, quantity, and if they're following the rules. In this case it's going to take more than one short thread to do it, of course.
