Character Change Toybox Girl ADAPT
#1
All in all, while Geno was an interesting thought, Geno's experiences so far have been lackluster and I can't think of any good way to direct him. Whereas TBG always has the option to start a bounty hunt and I miss playing as her.

Character name: Toybox Girl ADAPT

Character source: Original from Cosmic Break

Character history: An original model variant of the Toybox Girl design which was further back based on Toybox, Toybox Girl ADAPT is a robot girl who immediately joined the Cosmic Union Wisdom on the Cosmic Ark. The third, or perhaps more as C.S.-tan is pretty eccentric, version of her series, ADAPT sported the invaluable ADAPT system allowing her to replicate the weapons of her enemies temporarily. She quickly rose through the Cosmic Hero ranks with high mission scores and good skirmish marks in the Union Wars. However her history is not without faults as she has lost many of her friends to the multidimensional conquerors the Demon Force, the main reason the Ark was created.

Physical Description: Similar to the original model seen here, http://imgur.com/c61wDTM , this ADAPT variant sports a larger more square backpack from which arms, weapons, and whatever she copies sprouts out.

Stats:
ATK: 2
DEF: 2

TEC: 4

Starting OM: 6684

Starting Proficiencies: Ranged Proficiency (1000)

Starting Powers: Mimic (2800), Flight (1800)

Starting Moves:

Handy Bazooka (300) (Requires Ranged Proficiency) This overly large one handed bazooka launches large explosive shells. A permanent part of her ADAPT system, this warps in on one of the two arms attached to her backpack. Should TBG's arms become damaged, she can still wield this with her normal human hands. The shells move only at the speed of arrows and explode on impact for moderate damage. It fires one shell every 10 seconds, each of which is materialized using energy from her core causing light fatigue. A second Handy Bazooka could be summoned in the opposing hand though for obvious reasons it is less accurate to fire two weapons at once. The weapon falls apart into energy if it separates from TBG for 5 minutes.

Beam Gun (300) (Requires Ranged Proficiency) - This boxy weapon fires moderately big blue beam shots. A permanent part of her ADAPT system, this warps in on one of two arms on her backpack. Should TBG's arms become damaged, she can still wield this with her normal human hands. This has a rate of fire of one shot every 5 seconds. The blue bullet shaped shots move slowly and only deal light damage, but the drain on her core from using them is almost non-existent. A second Beam Gun could be summoned in the opposing hand though for obvious reasons it is less accurate to fire two weapons at once. The weapon falls apart into energy if it separates from TBG for 5 minutes.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

Why do you have starting moves at 3800? What does that mean?

For both moves, being able to summon one or two of them at once would cost 600 each. Another note for both of them: what is the range?

3800 was uh, leftover math workspace

Q: If I wish to dual wield an identical weapon such as dual daggers, do I need to purchase two moves?
A: No, 300 is fine for this.

Is this not covered in the move faq?
#4
That is in the case of two daggers, always being used as two daggers. Being able to choose to use one firearm, or two at once, is variability.

If I just called them dual weapons in the first place I don't see the difference. I could still discard one and have the same effect. It would be a given that you can use both to greater effect and less accuracy. Dual daggers isn't going to get penalized for only using one . If I had two missile launchers one in each shoulder I wouldn't pay extra for that no?

But if you insist I just won't buy Beam hand gun.
#6
Going by logic, yes, it would be the same effect.

Mechanically, though, within the Omniverse's system, you get exactly what you pay for. Buying them as a dual move and then only using one of them, no, not the same effect. Enjoy your incidental weapon. Greater effect and less accuracy is the entire point; if you use both of them, now you can effectively fire twice as fast, and put out potentially twice as much damage, which is more than enough of a departure to warrant variability and an increased cost. It's why specific phrasing and delimiting in move descriptions is so important.

I do insist, because it's the way the rules work.

I found Shay's dual wielded pistols to cost only 300.

Omni approved Shang's single or dual wield option blades. Specifically mentioned to start it's description. 300

It's all the same, wielding two weapons at once.

Dual rocket launchers eese okay.

It is sort of a break of the rules, but we've always allowed dual wield weapons to be bought at 300 and be used as dual or single. Maybe this'll get reruled later, things are always a work in progress.
Curious about me and the characters I play? See the 'Staff' page! See also the rosters for my characters Samus Aran or Enel if you'd like to see examples of well-formatted rosters. Hope you enjoy the Omniverse!

Well, with Omni's ruling on that one, I guess that's that, then.
