It was a warm and sunny day in Vale as Blake sat at an outdoor table, in a café. They had visited it before, which was why they had chosen it to be their meeting place for today. In all simplicity, the two of them intended to exchange information they had gained about their missing teammates. Yang was supposed to arrive any moment now, but, knowing Yang, the Faunus wouldn’t be surprised even if she would run a bit late. As it was, Blake took a sip of her tea, returning her gaze to the book in her hand for now.
It had been a rough year. First Ruby, their team leader and Yang’s younger sister had disappeared from her bed without so much as a trace, and later on, Weiss had left them, and later disappeared as well. The two were desperate and they knew it, but what other choice did they have? Leave their friends and family and abandon their search? Blake knew her partner would never be able to abandon her sister, knowing how their past had winded up being.. And Blake… Well, Blake didn’t want to abandon those, whom had accepted her as she was, despite her Faunus heritage. Those people, were good people as well as her team.
Lifting her gaze from the book, the black haired girl directed her gaze at the crowd once more, this time spotting the bright yellow, flowing hair approaching her. Lifting her hand in a greeting, Blake was about to call out to the other. Ya…. Thunk Her speech cut short as she could feel something impact on the back of her head, feeling how her body began to fall, as her vision faded into the darkness, and the sounds disappeared.
-------------------------------------------
Darkness. How fitting, the girl thought to herself, chuckling how it seemed to be her colour. But in darkness, there was a light. A bright one at that too. Blake’s pupils shrunk instinctively, adjusting into the darkness much like that of a feline’s. Now that her eyes had adjusted, the girl could make out a figure in the darkness, a white one at that. She tried to ask her question out loud, only to find out she wasn’t able to do so, the desire to do so remaining only a thought ‘Weiss?’ However, her thought was not given an answer, before waves crashed against her consciousness, a voice echoing in her mind.
Quote:”My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”
Omniverse? Rules? Wait wait wait, had she been somehow captured, transported into a different universe? Was this the same that had happened to Ruby and Weiss..? But… Yang..! Instantly, soul crushing weight landed upon the faunus, as she thought the possibility, that she might just have disappeared right before her partner’s eyes, unable to tell her in any way, what had happened. And then, their one sided communication continued.
Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."
Omnilium? Tying the universe together? Achieving whatever she desired the most? What she desired was so painstakingly simple though! She wanted her friends and team back! Yang! Ruby! Weiss! The dark haired girl desired for nothing more, even if she was the silent one of them.
Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.”
She wouldn’t die in this universe? Instead being reborn? ...Would there be Grimm? Or was this simply a hell of somekind? Alternate universe? So many unanswered questions coursed through the woman’s mind with hyper speed, and none of them were given answers, would she have to find her own answers..? Then again seeking her own path was nothing new to Blake, considering how she had left White Fang in the past.
Quote:“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”
And so, Blake’s consciousness faded once more, filled with unanswered questions.
-------------------------------------------
Blake could feel her consciousness slowly returning to her, as light began to shrine through her closed eyelids. Letting out a mild groan, the girl brought her arm to block some brightness, as her eyes adjusted once more, finding that she was laying on the ground. On cobblestone, to be exact. Before her eyes, was a...table leg? the girl decuced as she cast her eyes upwards, and found herself greeted by the bottom of the table.
With feline-like agility, the girl made it onto her feet, glancing around her. It was the café she had just been in… With the exception that this time, she was alone. No people, no Yang…. Yang! Mentally slapping herself, the Faunus spun into action, making her way to the inside of the cafe, raising her voice a little as she called out “Yang..? …..Anyone?” She was given no response, although she received a flashback of what she had just witnessed.. Omniverse? She was in a different universe..? But why.. did it still look the same, then? But without all the people?
Finally, Blake took note of how her own clothing seemed the same still. Still the white shirt, black vest and purple, gradient leggings. But something was lacking. The weight on her back, that she had learned to know and trust, wasn’t there. Gambol Shroud was missing. The girl pondered in her mind if she could easily re-obtain it, taking note of the words, that anything she wanted, could be hers.. But for now, it was better to secure her surroundings first. If she would have to research how this world worked, exactly, she didn’t want to be caught off guard by Grimms, or whatever monsters this world might hold. Taking a route around the cafe, the feline noted that there was nothing except whiteness around it, with an occasional dot somewhere far away in the distance. As she did so, the girl tested her pockets, she found out her Scroll wasn’t there anymore either.
Quote:Author’s note: Scrolls are the tablet-like phone things they use.
She had been mapping her surroundings for a perhaps five minutes, before she returned to where she had originally started from; The front of the cafe. Except, that this time something was different. There was someone sitting at one of the tables, hunched over. With haste, Blake ran towards the figure. How could she not recognize the partner she had had for years now, instantaneously.
“Yang? Yang!” she called as she ran, in only a few seconds reaching the other, gently shaking her partner by the shoulders. “Yang? Yang…?” she asked again, a mildly panicked tone starting to settle within her voice. How had she ended up here? Was she even alive? Had her wish to reunite their team brought Yang here as well? “Yang please..” the faunus whispered, wrapping her arms around the other, simply holding her there as she hoped the other would wake up. After all to Blake, Yang was something much more than just a teammate, partner, or even a dear friend.

"I'mlateI'mlateI'm laaaate...!" Yang excused herself as she ran through the crowds of people that were out on this sunny day, having to move back and forth between them to prevent running anyone over. Well, she wouldn't have been late if the train hadn't been stuck for over ten minutes! Or if there were fewer people out right now to get in her way. Oh well... Blake probably had a book with her, she would be alright. But between Ruby's and Weiss's disappearances... for some reason she had an odd feeling in her gut, as if something was going to happen to Blake. The thought only spurred her on more.
Disappearances, one may wonder? Yang's sister Ruby Rose, and later her team partner, Weiss Schnee, had both mysteriously disappeared with a few months of time between each other, without leaving behind the slightest trace. Up to a certain point, yes - their steps could be retraced. But then, it just cut off, as if they had volatilized. Ever since, Yang and Blake had spent every moment of their spare time searching for them - Yang herself had worked for a club owner in the shadier parts of Vale for months, doing his dirty work in exchange for his help. And even though his goons had come to no conclusion at all, Yang believed that they had done everything they could - Junior Xiong may not be the trustworthiest around, but he held his word if he gave it - and he knew better than to betray the girl that had single-handedly devastated his club before even starting with her training at Beacon, the school for Huntsmen and Huntresses. No, if they hadn't found any traces, there had to be something bigger involved here. But perhaps Blake would have some information.
Okay, there was the Café... now where was Blake? She eyed the tables and saw her friend just raising her hand to greet her, when a waitress behind her slid due to someone's napkin that had fallen on the ground, and hit her on the back of her head with a tray. She fell forward and out of her chair and... suddenly she was gone. "What...?" Yang blinked and came running closer as a horrible suspicion came up. The waitress had caught herself and was just looking around for Blake, and other people began to murmur. But, Blake was gone. She wasn't at or under the table, nowhere near it even, and if it had been one of her clones that got hit, or she had dodged it with her enormous speed, Yang would have been able to tell - she had fought alongside the faunus for a long time now, after all. She double- and triplechecked her surroundings, the nearby rooftops, she pinched herself... no, it wasn't a dream. Blake was gone.
Gone!
GONE!
The huntress screamed, closed her eyes and activated her Ember Celica and blasted herself into the air, cratering the ground behind her and flying up in a wide arc until she landed on the roof of the café. Another twin blast sent her to the house behind that, from where she leaped away over the rooftops, all the while screaming and with her eyes half-closed - but even that could not hold back her tears. Who was that who was so cruel as to take her friend away RIGHT BEFORE HER EYES?! Why had it got to be Blake?
“I KNOW you can hear me! She yelled, looking at the sky. Is this how you took my sister?! Is this how you took Weiss, too?! Are you having FUN taking my family and friends from me? Come on! Take me too, I'M RIGHT HERE!” But, nobody came to take her. She did not disappear. Her eyes, now a dark red, looked around for something, anything, to punch into next week. Her body was enveloped in a flame of pure energy as she began to run towards one of those little hut-shaped extensions that are built on a flat rooftop, with a door leading to a staircase that provides roof access. That hut was unfortunate enough to be the first thing to destroy. "DAMN THIS!" she screamed and backed up her fist while running towards it. Nothing but rubble would be left. NOTHING! ... was her rage so big that she began to see darker? Why was she feeling so tired suddenly? What was going...
____________________________________________________________________
"... and then I slipped, my tray hit her on the back of her head and she just... disappeared! The blonde girl then just screamed and used some sort of rocket launchers in her hands to blast the hole in the ground, and she disappeared too!"
"Nathan, what do you think of this?"
"I say it was some kid from Beacon. Probably pulled a prank. We'll send something to Professor Ozpin, see if he can keep his kids in check. Ma'am, the school will cover for the damages, and make sure to punish the students in question appropriately."
"Did you not find any trace of them?"
"Well, we traced one girl's steps to a nearby rooftop, and there's been eye-witnesses of her yelling something. But from there it goes cold. Kind of strange, as if she'd teleported or such, but that would have left an energy signature. She just... disappeared."
____________________________________________________________________
... on? She was falling through a place of darkness... no, floating. It felt odd, she could neither move nor speak, but she felt as awake as could be - she could even feel a cold breeze on her skin. Then, out of nowhere, a white man-shaped figure appeared, and though he was eyeless Yang could tell he was looking at her.
Quote:”My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”
Not the world I know? The Omniverse? Yang thought. Her mind was racing, but she was given little time to do so when her body moved on its own to recieve a ball of rainbow-glowing matter of some sort, that the figure calling himself Omni was giving her.
Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."
Omnilium? She felt oddly reminded of dust, or of atoms... this felt weirder though. Her hands moved on her own accord and stowed away the orb while Omni spoke on.
Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn. That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”
Then he faded into darkness once more, but Yang wasn't able to move yet. However, in the back of her head she heard an off voice calling her name. Ruby...? Is that you? No... that wasn't her sister's voice, but a very familiar one nontheless.
In Blake's arms, Yang opened her eyes sleepily, then from one moment to another darted to her feet with such force that she sent the poor faunus stumbling backwards, though she quickly caught herself. She looked around wide-eyed and with her hands twitching, but her Ember Celica weren't there - like most of her clothing, really. She was only wearing a normal T-Shirt and short trousers, not even boots or socks. Though of course, THAT was secondary. She looked around the Café, ignoring Blake at first, then turned her gaze towards her and darted over, grabbing her by her shoulders. It wasn't so much a hurtful grip, but it was firm - of someone who wouldn't let go. Then again, the real Blake could easily get Yang off of herself. "What sort of artifact did we pick up that Professor Ozpin put out for us when we made up the teams?" She asked, panting a bit from the sudden physical exertion and the adrenaline rush that came with it. Her eyes were wide and alert for any suspicious movements that her friend might make. For all she knew, this could be a single big setup from some Grimm gone rogue in Vale or something. Or Blake might not be Blake. She needed some sort of proof. If Blake replied correctly though, Yang would let her go and smile brightly in realization that this was, indeed, her friend and team partner.

The Faunus waited in silence as she waited upon her partner to wake up, simply holding her. And then she heard it, her bow twitching as her feline ears picked up a sound. Yang’s breathing was picking up, and the woman was clearly starting to come to.. ”Yang?!” she asked with a relieved, nearly excited tone, before she yelped ever so slightly, stumbling backwards from the other as she jumped up. As Yang looked at Blake, she would see how the girl was in her completely normal clothing, with the exception that she didn’t have her Gambol Shroud on her back.
Curiously, the faunus eyed at her partner, who only seconds later darted right at her, grasping her by her shoulders, and holding her there firmly. And then came the question, that confused Blake for a moment, before she realized what the other must’ve been thinking. ”I...We...Well, you… You asked me in these exact words; ‘How about a cute little pony?’. It was the White Knight chess piece. I answered to you ‘Sure’, Yang. And then you took the piece. Moments later your little sister, Ruby fell from the sky together with Jaune, after which Nora and Ren rode in on an Ursa. Then Pyrrha arrived, having ran all the way there with a deathstalker on her tail. Finally, Weiss fell down, caught by Jaune before they both crashed into the ground.” the faunus answered in a calm tone of voice, much like Yang had likely learnt to expect from her, offering her explanation to the question as detailed as possible, to eradicate any doubts from her partner about her own realness.
Afterwards, Blake provided a similar question in return, simply to make certain, that this Yang was indeed the one she wished it to be. Neither of them seemed armed with their signature weapons, so if it would come to combat between them, due to Yang being something else, such as a Grimm, Blake wasn’t feeling exactly confident. “What is the name of the book I didn’t put in the bookshelf, when we were first arranging our room? The one I have within my pillow.” The question in itself was rather embarrassing, the girl averting her gaze for just a moment, as a light blush threatened to conquer her cheeks, whilst she simply waited in silence.
Should Yang respond with the correct answer, Blake’s usually expressionless expression would turn into a bright smile, a first in long a while, especially considering how grim the times had been for them. Afterwards, the faunus would take a step closer to the other, before just leaning in against and burying her face into the other’s shoulder in silence.

When hearing Blake's rather detailed answer, Yang sighed with relief and smiled much brighter, opening her mouth to say something else but Blake asked her question first. She blinked, then her smile turned into a mishievous grin. "The Ninjas of Love one - the copy you got Adam to purchase for you?" She asked. "By the way, your pillow is the worst hiding place ever. I would never have guessed that you're into chocolate fudge." She waited for a few seconds before bursting out with laughter and squeezing Blake in a tight hug. "When you disappeared at the Café, you... I thought I'd never see you again! You just vanished in front of everyone's eyes, there was no trace, no anything! I mean, if you'd used your Semblance or your speed I would have been able to tell, but... god, I'm so happy to have you back."
Unless Blake herself were to break the hug early, Yang would hold it for several minutes as she just relaxed there with her friend, then after a while spoke back up. "You know... you disappeared just like Ruby and Weiss must have - you left no indication behind of anything, you just... you know, volatilized. Just like I did, I presume - everything went dark, and then I saw this white eyeless guy who told me about this place being the Omniverse. That he pulled me here because I "interest" him. I mean... could this mean that Weiss and Ruby are here as well? If you and I interesting, I mean... wouldn't my sister and Miss Ice Queen be too? Hang on, we gotta..." She reached for her back pocket, only to realize that not only was she not wearing her Huntress attire that she had also worn when meeting up with Blake in Vale, but her Scroll was gone too! her Ember Celica she had noticed earlier already, but THAT was secondary right now. She could just craft new ones or whatever. "Well... you didn't happen to see a phone booth around here, did you Blake?" Or maybe they could make a Scroll? That Omni dude had said that with the rainbow-glowy stuff anything they wanted could be theirs. Maybe they could just... make a Scroll? But then the question was if Ruby and Weiss had one too.

The faunus’ blush didn’t get any better with Yang’s teasing, as her visage flushed scarlet red over it. ”It was the only thing I could think of, that only you would know of..” the girl muttered, still embarrassed over the situation. The remark about the fudge obviously wasn’t true, but it was still a teasing notion. Then came the hug. Much like a bear, the yellow haired girl embraced Blake, as the feline pressed into the hug herself, content with their situation.. ”When I disappeared..I saw this white..being. All I could think of, was if that being had taken Ruby and Weiss as well, and if it had left you behind alone, so I wished with all I could, that you wouldn’t be left alone. That would be wrong.” she simply whispered. She herself didn’t want to end up in a universe without her partner, and she didn’t want her partner to be left alone. “[b]So either my wish got granted, or you got brought here for some other reason.. Either way, I am glad.” the girl finished, remaining in the embrace, until Yang finally spoke up once more.
The dark haired girl simply nodded in response, receiving the answer to her question. It seemed like Yang had met this being as well, just like her. And then came all the comments and questions that Yang blew towards her. In silence, the faunus pondered, not contributing anything at the current moment, as Yang sought out her pockets, only to realize she didn’t really have any pockets, or anything in them. Until finally, the dark haired girl spoke up. “Omnilium. With it, anything that we desire can be ours. But how…” the girl returned into her thoughts, more speaking to herself than anything. After a few minutes, the girl spoke out again. “Perhaps by summoning what we desire. Concentrating upon it, imagining everything possible about it. It’s a thing often in stories. We should try that..” Blake explained shortly, before she closed her eyes. She herself desired her weapon back, Gambol Shroud, with all of its intricacies as well as the special functions. Everything about it was important to her, even if it also carried her past with her. But that only added to the importance of it to her.
The girl had sat there for perhaps fifteen minutes, going through every detail about her precious armament, all of it’s forms, capabilities, dust, everything she could think of. With a clattering sound, Blake opened her eyes, seeing the weapon in front of her on the ground. Taking the weapon by its hilt, Blake unsheathed her sword and swung it around a few times, as she gave a few similar strikes with the sheath, before testing them in a combination style, that she had grown oh so used to utilizing. Seemed that the weapon felt exactly the same as it had before. Setting the sheath into her back, the girl reached for the slide of the pistol, pulling it back and releasing it, as the blade collapsed and slid back, folding into a sickle-like weapon. Firing the weapon once, Blake nodded approvingly. It seemed that part was in order as well.
Moments later, she simply threw the weapon upwards, a black ribbon connecting to it, as she quickly yanked her arm, tightening it, and starting to spin it around herself in arcs, keeping it close enough to herself to keep Yang out of harm’s way as she was testing her weapon.
Finally, she simply swung it to the top of the cafe’s wall, causing the weapon to fire once to drive the blade into the wall. Moments later, she jumped into the air, swinging into the wall before she agilely climbed the wall up, all the way onto the roof, sitting down as she transformed her weapon back, sheathing it. Seemed everything was in order, so far.

"You know, you COULD just have asked me about what we spoke about when I convinced you to go to the ball at Beacon. But, I suppose that the Love Ninjas works as well." She hmmed and nodded at Blake's next remark. "I only got taken some minutes after you, but... I don't think I've had any worse moment than then in my life, outside maybe of when I ran away from home with Ruby to pursue a trace about mum. I was... heh. I've found out what it feels like to have real friends, then had them taken from me. If I hadn't been taken I probably would've rampaged a while until Professor Goodwitch or someone else came to take me into custody. And then... I don't want to think about that part. You have no idea how happy I am - even if it turns out that it's just the two of us. But if Ruby and Weiss indeed are here..." She left her sentence unfinished, but her smile going from ear to ear pretty much told everything. "I don't care why I was brought here or by who, so long as it means that we get to be team RWBY again."
Then Blake spoke about Omnilium, and Yang hmmed. She looked around, then double-checked her pockets if the orb she had obtained still was there. Nope, it wasn't, but... she put a palm on her chest and "pulled" on it, drawing out some of the glowing rainbow mass. "This place has some useful means of storage, huh. Well, I'll trust you on it, you're the bookworm of our bunch." And the smarter cookie, she added mentally. Not that she considered herself dumb, but Blake was doubtlessly better than her in that regard - not that she minded, she realized that that was just her, and her way of handling things. She poked and tossed the Omnilium orb around, then stretched and squeezed it as if it was kneading mass that could somehow be shaped into something useful, but the malleable energy always returned to its original round form. Yang then thought of her sister's face, and for a brief moment could see it with all its details, floating there inside the orb - but as soon as her concentration broke, it disappeared again. "Sure looks like these things are shaped by our thought. But what should I... Blake?" She looked up when she noticed that her friend wasn't standing next to her anymore, and grinned when she noticed that she was already lost in concentration. "Alright then, let's see about that." She could already see vague reflections of Blake's Gambol Shroud inside the orb that she was holding, so their combat ability was accounted for right now... what else did they need? Some means of transport. And communication. And proper clothing. Her Ember Celica would have to wait.
She sat down on one of the chairs of the Café, placed the orb on the table in front of her and put both hands on it, then focused. Her Scroll... that's what she wanted first of all. She went through every bit of detail that made up the high-tech device that functioned as a portable computer with smartphone and internet access built in, on its shape, its uses, everything that made it up. Due to its intricacy, she took around ten minutes before feeling the cool metal fall into her hands and, upon opening her eyes, saw the Omnilium transformed into a scroll - although it had a custom paint job and her emblem on the back, which Yang had added since it was forbidden to change the Beacon Scrolls, as they would get passed on to new students at the end of the term. She decided to try it out while waiting for Blake to finish her thing, poked the unknown icons on the surface. "Phone" was pretty evident, as well as most other programs like picture viewer, camera and the like. No maps, which was a pity. Then there was a D and V intertwined with each other to form a fancy logo, which was named "DATAVERSE MESSAGEBOARDS" and popped up some sort of internet with messages from lots of unknown people. Didn't exactly sound safe, but she understood that they were... public? Perhaps they could...
"Hey Blake! Are you finished with your testing? Come on back down, I got something to show you!" She said as she waved her Scroll back and forth. When Blake was back next to her, she quickly explained her findings and concluded with "We could use this to contact Ruby and Weiss, if they are here like we are. We would just need to make the message a little encoded so we can keep it public but without giving ourselves away, but they can understand it."
"Our team name should do the trick. And we can just use our initials to refer to each other."
Yang chuckled and hugged Blake once again. "See? It does pay off to work for a secret organization from time to time! I wouldn't have come up with something like this like you did. Or at least, not as fast."
For a full half hour they sat there, discussed possible formulations and ways to encode their message, but eventually just settled for a simplistic approach - get their attention, share contact details, call one another and see if and how they could meet up. Perfect. Yang typed up a message and showed it to Blake for proofreading, then after some further back and forth Yang managed to wrestle the Scroll from Blake's hands, pin her down and quickly press "Send" before the other one could fight back. By the time Blake had rolled them over and pulled the Scroll from Yang's hands, it was too late, and Yang laughed as she escaped her friend and got up. "C'mon, that way they'll KNOW it was us!" She said. She dusted herself off, which reminded her... "I still need my Ember Celica. And the Bumblebee, if we want to get around this place." Good thing that her bike had plenty of space on the back for a second person. She sat back down and drew more Omnilium from her "storage", then returned to focusing to get her signature weapons back - unless of course Blake interrupted her.

Quietly the faunus pondered Yang’s remark. True as it was, it only caused her to blush further. Luckily enough, the blonde decided it was enough of teasing, and that a change of topic was in order. Something that Blake was certainly grateful for, even if she didn’t display it. Every word that Yang spoke rang true in the girl’s own mind as well.
She didn’t care if this was another world, what mattered was that she wasn’t alone anymore. The White Fang had fallen to darkness, she had been forced to abandon her eldest partner Adam… But Team RWBY. It had given her something she thought she hadn’t had in a long while. A place. Somewhere where she was accepted for who she was. Not what she was.
And now, if there was a chance that her team was truly all here, and they just didn’t know it… The Faunus had a speck of hope of reunion. She didn’t provide a vocal response, instead simply offering an unnoticeable nod, something Yang likely noticed with ease by now.
Obviously, she had went straight to work, as Yang had left her to it… And when she came to, with her Gambol Shroud, she had noticed Yang still lost in thought, summoning something that Blake wasn’t yet certain of, what it was exactly. She had already finished testing her weapon as the blonde called to her once more. The faunus leapt down from the roof, with fast paced walk making her way to her partner, raising an eyebrow “Yes?” she spoke in a questioning tone, not needing any more words to convey her intentions.
It was a simple thing, a message board. Genius. Perhaps either of the two of their missing team had summoned their own Scrolls, having access to the same boards. It was certainly worth a shot, but they’d need to encrypt it in a simple enough manner for either of the two to decrypt it, but still strong enough to hide it from the unwanted eyes. RWBY. This was a different world. There probably wouldn’t be anyone whom would know of a ‘Team RWBY’ She explained her idea to Yang, as the other gave her a tight hug once more, before getting to work.
As she read it, she saw the silliness towards the end of the message, starting to erase it, before Yang was already wrestling the device away from her eager fingers. ”Yang..!” she just retorted, as her hands were pinned and she tried to squirm free, whilst the other wrote her additions back, and even added to them, dooming Blake, as she hit the send button. Why did it go like this, every single time?
Putting their little squabble aside, Blake returned an acknowledging nod. “I’ll get my scroll while you do that.” she simply mentioned, claiming one of the seats close by, before returning to her concentrated state. This time, she worked faster due to knowing a little better how the mechanism worked, imagining her scroll, colouring it black and adding a silver version of her emblem, the Belladonna flower, to the back of the device. It wasn’t a simple thing, but Blake knew them well enough to have an easier time with imagining it’s inner workings and technical aspects.
Soon enough, a quiet chime sounded, as the device hit the desk. Blake opened her eyes, pleased with the results of her work, as she began to explore the device, taking a look if anyone had already, in the short time responded to the post, that Yang had submitted to the ‘Dataverse’.

If Weiss and Ruby are out there, we're going to find them, whatever is needed to get there. Yang thought to herself as she continued to focus on summoning her Ember Celica, as well as a few spare magazine belts and shells for it. She knew her weapon inside out, so it didn't take her quite as long to summon as it took her for the Scroll - some seven or eight minutes, perhaps, then she heard an audible clinking as the two bracelets fell onto the table surface. "I almost felt naked without those... hmm. Speaking of which!" She slid the bracelets over her wrists, then drew yet more Omnilium out. "I need some proper clothing after I'm done with Bumblebee." And once more the concentration began. What a tedious process...
The minutes ticked by as Yang summoned her trusted bike next to herself, not on the table this time, and made two pairs of goggles and two helmets for Blake and herself - even including some special extensions for Blake's ears into the top of her helmet. Bumblebee itself appeared after some ten minutes of intense focus, the helmets and goggles were much simpler and were finished after some five minutes in total as she could just summon them all at once. "Blake? See if these fit you!" she called and put one pair of goggles into the special helmet then tossed them her way once she was certain that Blake was paying attention. Then, yet again she produced Omnilium and began to mold it.
Her clothing took a little longer to make as she was turning the rainbow mass into a full set. But, once more they were things she knew inside out, so around fifteen minutes later a set of clothing, from her boots to her scarf, fell into her hands, neatly folded up and ready to be worn. "Awesome. Now then." She slid off her chair and took off her shoes, starting to strip. Blake would probably look up at some point, but really Yang didn't care - they had already taken group showers together and changed into their pajamas around each other, there was no reason to feel ashamed now. Besides, it only took a moment. Indeed, soon she was dressed back into her Huntress outfit, and when she put her Ember Celica back on she gave a relaxed sigh and nuzzled her face into her scarf. "NOW I feel comfortable in my skin again... haaah." She twirled her arms a few times, testing the fit of her clothing, then fired a pair of ranged shots into the air and finally blasted herself off the ground with her Ember Celica to propel herself upwards, against the wall of the closest building she had, where in turn she continued firing volleys to maintain her momentum as she wallran up until arriving at the roof with a clean salto. Parts of the Café ground became cratered in the process, but that was secondary right now. She laughed heartily as she ejected the empty shells and opened the ammo belts of her Ember Celica, then refilled the empty slots with new shells and loaded them back into the mag holders.
"Mmmh, I feel good!" she said after jumping back down and coming within hearing range of Blake. "I do hope that Ruby and Weiss are around here... this place has something about it that screams fun, and adventure." For some reason, deep inside she felt confident in that her teammates were around here. Did she know? No, she didn't. But, you might call it a gut instinct. And Ruby was family after all, and Weiss... if not family by blood, then as close as could be. And if she disregarded that problem and thought about other things - about this strange world and its even stranger laws -, her lust for adventures, for fun, thrills, battles and exploration was coming back up. She wanted to learn more of this world. And with Blake, Weiss and of course Ruby on her side, it would be perfect.

Whilst Yang returned into her summoning duties, Blake continued her conquest of the so called Dataverse. It seemed to contain all kinds of different forums, websites, even bounties of people.. Blake took mental notes of her findings, just in case she would have to explain to Yang, or the others how the world worked. At the same time, she noticed people hosting even such things as blogs.. For a while, the girl browsed around with her Scroll, her ears twitching every now and then, hidden within the velvet black bow she wore on her head. Seemingly, Yang was still busy with her summoning duties, as Blake stood up. There hadn’t even been a response to Yang’s message. Then again, the girl hadn’t expected there to be, but still. Quietly, she walked towards the cafe, unsheathing her weapon as she did so, pulling back the slide of the gun as the armament transformed into its more compact, and sickle like form, that Blake then threw upwards, into the edge of the roof once more. Jumping, she climbed up on the roof once more, before dislodging the weapon, transforming it back and returning it into its sheath.
Sitting down, the girl looked up into the sky. If it could even be called a sky, that was. There was nothing but white around them. White, like Weiss. Much like snow. Would there be a crimson red world, much like Ruby? A world with an astonishing red fall season, with so many intricacies in the leaves, that lesser minds wouldn’t be capable of comprehending it. A bright sunny world, like Yang? Warm, energetic. ….Reckless. That was when her chain of thoughts reached herself. A world of darkness. Pitch black beast and horrors?. Hopelessness fed by regret, betrayal and death? Violence fueled by hatred? What did the people do in such a world..? Really, what could they do? How would one be able to undo so many years of hatred and fear?
How would she be able to convince those, whom had fallen into such a world, to lay down their arms? To return to their old and peaceful ways? To realize, that violence and the means they were using, were not achieving them their position through respect. No, it was something achieved by fear. And a relationship built upon fear, wouldn’t last. Eventually, those afraid would retaliate, and the backlash would only create more conflict.
How would she be able to convince someone like him to lay down his arms.. To just..believe. It surprised her, that she herself could believe into the dream that she held within her mind. That she could still carry the torch of hope in the engulfing darkness of hatred. Without allowing the flame to flicker out and die, without falling herself. If she herself fell, how could she help others after all?
But the end all be all was, that she didn’t have the luxury of falling into the darkness. She would find a way to raise her brethren back into the light, even if it now seemed like a distant goal. After all, she was likely the only one of her kind here, in this new world. But discrimination was hardly something tied to place or time. It was always there. She was certain it lived here as well, in one form or another.
The girl didn’t keep track of time, and before she even realized, she could hear Yan calling her from the ground level. Snapping out of her thoughts, the faunus stood up, jumping down from the roof, as she caught the helm whilst she herself was still in midair. It was a black helmet with a purple gradient, with small ear shaped bumps rising from the helm, which were obviously meant to accommodate for the dark furred feline ears perched upon her head. Calmly, she raised the helm above her head, before putting it on, leaving the bow under there, as she pulled down the strap, and fastened it. Wiggling her ears a little within the helm, the girl quickly figured that indeed the helm fit her head, rather nicely too. As she walked towards the bike. She calmly took the helm off of her head, and set it down on the back of the seat. ”Thank you.” she simply said, before she made her way inside of the cafe. Whilst she was there, she sought out if there was something, anything of use really. But sadly, to her dismay, there seemed to be nothing there, like it was just a coulisse for them to arrive into.
Eventually, Blake sat down into one of the tables, placing her hand upon her chest, closing her eyes, as she pulled a small mass of Omnilium from herself, starting to toy with it for the sake of her own curiousity. Calmly, she shaped it with her nimble fingers into different shapes, from a star, into something silly, and finally, into a rose. Until she finally thought of something that she could create. And this time, without thinking it into reality. Simply by shaping it into reality herself. For a while, she poked around it, applying pressure into different areas, slowly shaping it towards a more rectangular shape from the spherical shape that it originally was. As she did so, she imagined the contents of the book someone had bought her a long time ago. The Ninjas of Love. Something she had read oh so many times before, but that still held an important place within the girl’s heart as a memento given to her by someone, whom she had known for a long time. And it was also that man, that had caused her so much grief and sorrow. How could she save someone like him?
Eventually, the book lay there on the table, motionless before her. Curiously, she tested the object to try and have it disappear from her hand, and with a small flash of rainbow light, it did. Now it was simply a question of how she would get it back? However, the faunus girl quickly discovered, that by trying to re-summon it, the book simply appeared again. And that’s when she heard the oh so familiar shotgun fire from the outside. For a split second, she was worried as she made the book disappear, and dashed outside. ”Yang?” she called, only to notice that the other was simply testing her weapons, dashing across the space around them. For a few moments, Blake watched as the other tested her weapons, before she returned to Blake, explaining about her feelings.
The silent girl flashed a slight smile as she responded. ”Mhm, I hope so. What shall we do? There seems to be somekind of dots at regular intervals in the distance. Eight of them.” was the question and notification in the air though. Where would they go? And what would they do, once they got there, other than look for their team?

While listening to Blake, Yang flexed her fists and turned them in a special way that made the Ember Celica return to its inactive state, as two unseeming bracelets on her arms. As they were fully loaded now, she considered herself battle-ready if anything were indeed to happen. "Dots? Hang on, let me take a peek." She leapt onto one of the lower rooftops which was sufficiently low that she didn't need to blast herself up again, and put a hand over her eyes to shield herself from the non-existing sun to look. "Huh, you're right. I can see... two? No, three off into this direction, and they're pretty far apart. But they're really far away." Although Blake would not be impressed by a display of acrobatics, just for the sake of it she did a gracious backflip to return to her friend at ground level, landing at the same spot she had stood at earlier. "But, you're the one with the better eyes among the two of us, day or night. I just made out that there's some vague movement, but it's so small! Unless... hey, wait! I got an idea!" Once again she grinned brightly, and produced a new orb of Omnilium from her chest. As she began to mold it Blake could make out pictures of a pair of high-tech binoculars popping up in the midst of the rainbow mass, showing what Yang intended on doing. But, because she was getting the hang of it she was focusing a bit less in order to speak with her friend.
"I'm not sure if we should move out just yet, who knows if we'll find the Café again if we stray too far, and Ruby and Weiss are indeed here and get our message they won't know where to meet us. But, we can always find ways. With this Omnilium stuff I can make signal flares for the Ember Celica, and you could drive around with my Bumblebee to scout out this white place all around us. I mean, you know how to drive a bike, right? And if you need to find your way back you can use your Scroll to communicate with me, and I can fire a flare to indicate the way back for you! Perfect plan, right?" Of course, Blake could also make a signal flare and gun herself, but since she herself had made up the right combination of dust before to make her shells - like when they had celebrated New Year back with Uncle Qrow and she'd wanted to make something awesome - she felt like it'd be easier for her than for Blake. Good old times... for a moment she lost herself in those memories. Ruby and her had been... what, fourteen and twelve back then? Uncle Qrow had gone out to buy a few fireworks and cake, and Yang had used the time that he was away to steal some of his dust supplies and experiment around with them and her weapon's shells, until she had made an explosive cocktail consisting of red dust (fire) for the explosion, light blue dust (ice) for the special effects and to control the red dust's volatileness a bit, yellow dust (electric power) to trigger the red dust after a certain fuse timer was used up, and an intricate mechanism similar to the old-day revolvers in the back of the shell to shatter the yellow dust crystal and release its contained power when the shell was fired. Of course, her experimentation had led to more than one failed attempt, and Uncle Qrow had returned before Yang could clean her blackened face and clothes up, let alone fix the crater in their garden. He'd been rather angry, yet proud at the same time, in his own weird way he had thus simultaneously complimented her for her success and warned her about using dust in such an uncontrolled manner again. It was, after all, elemental power contained in pretty volatile crystals. Then he had made a lesson out of it, teaching Ruby and Yang more about dust, and letting them craft several more shells in the process. It had been a very fun New Year celebration. But, then Yang's mind returned to the here and now.
"I don't really know what we could do though, WHILE we wait for those two to respond, provided that they are around. I mean, we could set a timer for ourselves before we start exploring this place by ourselves and wait until then, or we could just head out right now and throw the whole "staying by the café" plan out the window in hopes of that Ruby and Weiss find us elsewhere. Besides, I'm starting to wonder why this place looks like the Café in Vale and not something else. Like, did you subconsciously shape it when you arrived, or something? Or did Weiss-Omni make it for us so we can feel at home when arriving?" She was rambling a bit at this point, but then caught herself back up. "Uh, outside of that though, let's see. We both got our Scrolls back, so perhaps we could try to find out some more info about this place, if anyone else posted stuff. You already checked it out while I was getting my stuff ready, didn't you? Found anything interesting, perhaps? Something helpful or such?"

Blake simply waited as her partner decided to take a look for herself, rolling her eyes as she had to make a show about it. She herself hadn’t exactly done that much jumping in this new world yet, but that was just fine by her. That being said, the girl shook her head a little as the other decided to make even more of a show about her landing, doing some sort of a backflip. This was probably why Ruby was, well, Ruby, the girl thought to herself as the other spoke out, starting to mold out something, which turned out to be binoculars, she assumed, complimenting the other. ”Not a bad idea.”
That being said, as Yang spoke out, the girl simply listened. There wasn’t a whole lot she’d be able to say or contribute into the situation, considering that she as well, didn’t have all that many ideas. ”Mhm, I can.” she simply confirmed. She hadn’t driven Bumblebee exactly before, but bikes in general, weren’t all that new to her. She’d be able to drive one if needed. And if their best course of action for now, was to cruise around and scout their surroundings, it wouldn’t be a bad idea exactly. At least it’d give them a sense of their surroundings. And seemingly as the dots in the distance all seemed about the same size, Blake drew the conclusion that this might’ve been the center of the world they were in. ”It may be that we’re at the center of this world, given how all the dots are about the same size, Yang.” the girl simply shared her information, before the other spoke once more, and Blake simply listened.
The other was rambling on, more speaking her thoughts aloud than anything else, not exactly requesting Blake’s opinion upon things, or anything like that. So she listened, and waited until the other actually presented a question. ”Well, there seems to be all kinds of sites and blogs, such things there.. And then there seemed to be this Library.. Although I couldn’t find much in the short time, I discovered that there are eight universes here… Linked via gates. But that’s about all. And considering there’s eight of those dots, those might be the gates to different universes.. And this could be some kind of connecting centerpiece. Other than that, I cannot say much.” the faunus explained in a calm and collected tone, pondering what could be their best course of action. In all honesty, it seemed best to remain here, because if Weiss and Ruby were here somewhere, in one, or any of those eight realms, behind those gates, they would find Blake and Yang easier here, before the two of them, could find anything. ”I believe we should stay here. They might know this world better than us. They’ve been here longer. So they have it in them to find us. If they’re here.” she simply finished her explanation, crossing her arms across her chest.

"Well, great then. We got ourselves a plan! And despite me being the one who came up with it, it doesn't even sound all that bad! So, let's recapitaulate... uh, you grab my Bumblebee and the helmet and goggles, and you can go about visiting this place. Those dots, whatever they might be, may just be something important, and if they're not, well at least we'll know what they are. I'm kinda curious, but I mean... I'll trust your judgement if you say we're in the middle of something. Like, in the center," she pointed out with a grin at her own unintentional pun. "I'll stick around here with my binoculars and keep track of you, if there's anything wrong I can then call you on your Scroll. And if you get lost or anything happens to the Café, I'll get a signal flare shell ready that you can see from afar, to find your way back. Although, if everything around here is just white, then there's those dots, and nothing else but the Café, you shouldn't run into that kinda trouble. And one way or another, we don't move away from this white place, so that we don't get lost and make it even harder for Ruby and Weiss to find us. Though I guess we can set a time limit so we don't end up waiting forever, either."
Since the Binoculars would still take a bit to finish, Yang pulled up a chair with her leg and plopped down on it as she listened to Blake's response for this Dataverse stuff. "A library? Well, you should feel right at home then! If you want to continue exploring this Dataverse internet thing, we can switch positions if you like - I'll go about with the Bumblebee while you test out what our Scrolls can get access to in here. I mean, I can poke about this internet too, but you're better with that. And if those dots turn out to be gates to wherever, Ruby and Weiss must be out there somewhere, probably together. Bumblebee can only really carry two people, but I could transport one, then the other over to the middle. Or maybe let Ruby Semblance her way alongside us, if it doesn't tire her too much. It seems to be quite a ways off, these gates." She raised binoculars when finally they fully shaped from the Omnilium and fell into her hands, and looked at her surroundings with them. "Yup! Working like a charm. I hope that the same goes for my bike." She walked past Blake, totally coincidentally brushing their arms against each other as she did, and climbed onto her bike to test the engine. But, her concerns were voided when the machine gave a deep rumble and began to vibrate beneath her with the characteristic sound of a bike motor waiting to be used. "Awesome. Hehe... I wonder if I can get some sort of upgrades for her. Like wings! Or nitro boosts." Having no pilot license, Yang had never been allowed to pilot any of the massive airships that were used all around Vale, and custom additions to one's vehicle such as a booster engine were illegal. Even the fact that Bumblebee had been assembled in a non-certified mechanic shop, by hand and with custom parts instead of the standart factory process had put it into the gray area of legal. But around here, if she could just summon those things on a whim she doubted that someone would come up and confiscate it from her hands if she could just make another. Hmm, justice systems had to be quite special around here, to keep people locked up despite such abilities. Maybe the jails had some sort of anti-summoning apparatus at the ready?

Blake’s partner always seemed to have so much more to say than she herself. She’d grown accustomed to it across the years, yet it still baffled her a little sometimes. Yet that was one of the things she appreciated in Yang. One could’ve said she was the Yang, to her Yin. As the other spoke, and made a stupid pun, even if accidentally, Blake revealed the slightest of smiles, as she simply listened when Yang went over their upcoming plans. ”We won’t wait forever, Yang. We’ll do reconnaissance first, for a few days at most, before we shall move. The Café will work as our base of operations, as well as give us shelter, in the case that this place has weather.” she explained their plan, before she followed the other to the bike that she was about to test.
As she spoke oh so much once more, Blake reached for the helm she had set upon the bench of the bike, taking it into her hands, as she pulled it onto her head and fastened the belt. ”Might be. Then again, who knows if they have their own vehicles here.” Blake pointed out as the bike roared into life successfully, and Yang looked most pleased. ”I think you should look into the Dataverse as well, I’ll make a tour around the gates and check them, and see if there’s any differences. Then I will return to you. If you’d like, you can track my progress with the binoculars.” the other simply explained, as she waited for her Partner to rise off of the bike, before she herself climbed onto the saddle of the still running machine. ”See you soon.” the Faunus noted, as she kicked the support leg off, and turned the handle, pushing the marvel of engineering forth without an issue.
Calmly, she lowered herself against the bike to reduce the air resistance, as she turned the handle so that the bike would accelerate even further. She’d picked one of the gates as her target for now, as she pushed towards it. Had she had any way of telling compass points in this world, she would’ve known that she was heading towards east.
Blake had been pushing the bike to it’s limits for the past twelve or so minutes, before she finally eased upon the gas and pulled on the brake handle, as the bike slid to halt. It seemed like a gate made of hewn stone, and there was nothing really there, other than the gate itself. During her journey she had noticed that the gate had been getting progressively closer and closer. And sadly, there was no one. No signs, no guards, no nothing. This journey was about as useful, as a piece of plastic as a dinner. Not wanting to stay for too long, the girl pulled the gas once more, pushing the bike forth as she turned it around, taking her heading to the next gate. Had she been able to tell compass points, she would’ve known she was heading north.
After she had been torturing the machine at it’s top speeds once more, this time for slightly longer than before, the girl arrived to an archway covered in vines and moss, as well as bark. Yet there was no one here either. This time, she wouldn’t linger at all, as she simply pulled on the handle once more, pushing herself towards the next gate in order. Why weren’t there guards, people, anything? Just people going through? Those were the things that floated within the girl’s mind as she allowed the motor to scream in joy at top speeds.
After a similar amount had passed, the girl drove past a gate that seemed to be smoking rather menaciously, although as Blake didn’t notice any life here either, she simply allowed the machine to take her past it, and to the next one. The traveling was honestly getting dull already as Blake rode past a gate made of stone, seemingly eroded. No life, no stopping was still the policy, as the woman continued her journey.
As Blake approached the next gate, she could see it was made of steel, and in the distance she could see movement. Life, perhaps? The girl had a slight glimmer of hope as she allowed the machine to take her to her destination, before slowing to a halt. It seemed like they were armed guards of somekind, in a white armour with decorative black parts. They simply looked at her, like she was nothing they had seen before, as the girl spoke up. “Hello. Could you tell me where all of these gates lead?”
Oh great. Yet another new one. Then again, there would certainly be a raise for me, if I could manage to recruit her to the service, for the glory of our Empire! And apparently, they were new too, that meant it would be oh so nice and easy to say whatever he wanted. “This gate leads to Coruscant, the capital of the glorious Empire. The rest of them are insignificant, just snow, fire, wastes, dust, and then there would be one full of the empire’s enemies, scheming and lying evildoers. Camelot. The gate that is opposite of ours. You should come to Coruscant and serv- join, our glorious Empire! We are the only force mighty enough to man our gates!” the white clad soldier spoke a simple response.
Blake had had time to train in keeping her calm state, as well as a facial expression that was nigh on impossible to read, as she simply listened. She obviously realized that there was probably something completely off and fishy here, but she wouldn’t deny the information either. It was all she had to base her knowledge on, as she simply nodded. “I shall consider the offer, thank you.” she stated, as she revved the engine without further ado, turning the bike around as she pushed the engines to strive herself towards her original point, the middle. After all, if there would be no people at the rest of the gates, she would just be wasting her time.
After twelve or so minutes, the girl had returned to the café without any real issues. As she dismounted the bike, she took off her helm and set it upon the seat, as she spoke to Yang who had came to receive her. ”Eight gates, only one of them has people at it.. The one I came from, leads to Coruscant, the one I started from, leads to somewhere called Camelot… Rest, leave to...places.” she said with a mildly annoyed tone as she continued. ”So, what do we do now, Yang?”

"Hmm. Sounds like we got a plan, I just hope that nothing unexpected happens until we can meet up with the others." Yang replied and readied her binoculars. "If Ruby and Weiss don't reply by the time we are done with scouting this place out a bit, we'll just move out and let them catch up to us, or the other way round. What do we have to fear, if death will not kill us like this Omni-guy said? And what he said seems pretty true so far, not to mention that he does seem able to do a lot of stuff, so why not bring back the dead, too?" She shrugged and followed Blake then walked past her whilst her friend took up seat on the bike and put on the helm. "I'm not going to give up Bumblebee no matter what stuff they may have around here, Blake! Upgrade or change it, maybe - I always wanted an Airbike, for instance. But if it can be helped I'll take it along."
As Blake sat on the bike and made it spring to life, Yang grinned happily and nodded. "There's plenty of empty space between those dots, even with Bumblebee you should take a while to get anywhere. I'll have plenty of time to explore this Dataverse a bit without losing track of you. See you around, and drive safe!" She held out her hand for a high-five before Blake could go, and after recieving it leapt back onto the tallest building around that she could find, to adjust her binoculars and begin tracking Blake. The pair she had made were high-tech selfadjusting binoculars, always keeping a sharp picture of whatever they were trained on, though of course she intended on testing out if they really worked by following her friend for a while. When she was certain that it was in order she looked ahead, towards the position Blake was headed to, and set the maximum magnification to look at whatever it was. From the looks, it was a big rip in the open with a little support built around it, likely some sort of ramp to enter or exit this rip. She presumed it to be a portal. What surprised her more was that such a thing existed and appeared to be stable, considering it had been there all along since their arrival. Portals were difficult to make and uphold, or at least they had been so in Vale. Did this place have some sort of technology that made the process easier? That was something that stirred up quite some thought... but the question was that where Blake was headed there was no life to be seen far and wide, so she ought to be alright. It would be a bit before she arrived there too, so Yang had some time to check out the Dataverse until then.
After some five minutes she checked on Blake. Nope, still going... around halfway there, it seemed. And she was doing okay, so no need to worry there. She was a big cat, she could help herself if something came up, and Bumblebee wasn't going to let her down, here or in any other world. Ooo, what was this? "PesterOmni"... this looked like some sort of chat program. "gardenGnostic", "primordialPersistence", "carcinoGeneticist"... heh, people had some odd names, but to each their own. Perhaps she should... nah, let's wait about that. Her fingers were twitching to use the chat, but for now she just left a bookmark and returned to the main page before remembering to check on Blake. Where was she now...
What? Already past the gate? Oh, no. She was just turning... Yang frowned when she saw just HOW Blake handled the bike. Dear god... well, she wasn't doing it completely wrong, but she made a mental memo (then a digital one with the "Memo" app of her Scroll) to teach Blake the proper usage of that beautiful piece of technology beneath her butt. It wasn't a bicycle after all. Aaaand she might be exaggerating a bit, she added to her own train of thought. She was, after all, rather nitpicky about technology in all its forms - partly due to her uncle Qrow's teachings, which had had a similar impact on Ruby -, whereas Blake and Weiss were more light-hearted about it, but not technophobe either.
Anycase, Blake was on her way to the next gate, let's see what that held... that one was oddly green-tinted around its edges, but she couldn't make out any details. But, nobody seemed to be around there either, so that was okay. Back to the Dataverse... Well, this was really turning out to be just like the internet back home, only with different names and setups, but the base was very much the same. People posting questions and getting answers, links to websites including an "Anti-Omni" one... huh. Well, guess it made sense that some people would hate to be around here. She would hate Omni too if he'd pulled her here without her friends. Right now she wasn't so certain anymore... they'd gone through a lot and missed each other for months, but still - this world promised adventure and stuff! she couldn't wait to get it explored.
What of her friend? Still moving? And the next gate had nothing to see either... hmm. Back to Dataverse it was. One particular link caught her attention, the announcement of a "Shardworld", but seemingly abandoned... this was quite interesting, she'd have to check it out some time. And according to one entry made by another person, there were ways to enter the Dataverse as a virtual entity, because it had a physical component behind the facade of code and pictures. But that would mean that they were only scraping the surface of this place's internet... the sheer thought of it was making her dizzy. She'd have to tell Blake about this when she came back. Not having noticed how much she spent researching that topic, she only remembered to peek at her friend when she was already arriving at the gate to Coruscant - though of course at that time Yang couldn't know where that gate led, nor the place's name - and cursed at herself for not having looked more closely. There was life, but the faunus had noticed such apparently, and was going to be on her guard. Hmm... they had weird armor, but their weapons were similar to the ones she was used to - though they mostly looked like rifles and the like, not morphable Hunter weapons or some sort of futuristic design. Then again, she couldn't find any spare magazines or the like on them, which made her wonder. Then Blake set a course for the Café again and Yang lowered the binoculars since the people at the gate were making no move to stop her.
Let's see, what else did this place hold...? She bypassed the basic encoding of the shardworld.omni site to view the source code, and indeed found several entries saved on the site, but not made public. Plans, it seemed... large-scale constructions, mechanics, ideas... this was amazing. She whistled between her teeth. This definitely was something she would have to convince team RWBY to check out. It sounded like some sort of enormous game, or blueprints for it anyway, like some sort of huge virtual playground! Ohh boy, she HAD to give that a check. She pulled out everything she could and loaded it onto the Scroll's save-card just as Blake returned. Yang came back down from the building and walked her way to join her, though she remained silent to listen to her report.
"We got the part about eight gates... Coruscant doesn't ring a bell, but Camelot? Wasn't that this place in, uh... some book where this big king lived? Was it the one that slew a beast with regrowing heads? No, wait, that was someone else... well, you're the specialist. Think it could be the same thing?" She asked, crossing her arms. "But outside of that... nope. We can set up shop here and wait for a while longer, but if we move out I want to do it together this time. Separating ourselves... just doesn't feel right to me at this point. Not after having been separated from each other for months. And we could try to track Weiss and Ruby, I mean... we know their habits somewhat, right? Maybe we can guess which way they've been going, if they keep not replying. Or we ask around for 'em, they do stick out somewhat after all."

After finishing her explanation and the question, Blake waited for her partner-in-crime’s response, shaking her head a little in disappointment as the other didn’t even recognize the name Camelot. After all, it was one of the most well known fairy tales, and was often told. “[Yang please..! You should at least know this one..! It’s the legend of King Arthur, the man who drew the sword Caliburn from the stone, to become the ruler of his country… The country’s capital, where he ruled from, was named Camelot. That’s why the name sounds familiar. However, the other one doesn’t sound familiar to me either. the girl commented calmly as she continued. “Considering that we do not know the rest of these places - or well, the only one which’s name we know.. I don’t know if we can think of it as the Camelot of the fairy tales.. But the people at the other gate were really..fishy.” Blake kept a completely expressionless expression as she finished her sentence. Ha, that’d show Blake.. She knew how to be fun too!
..Now if only she could show it. Oh well anyway. As she finished her small pause in speech and explanation, the girl continued, addressing the other issues Yang had brought up, such as the fact that they could camp themselves here for now. Or they could of course also continue on, but this time doing it together. Blake had to agree she didn’t want to split from Yang, not in a world that she was completely unfamiliar of. After all, if they got into trouble, at least if they were together, they could depend on each other. And as much as the Faunus didn’t wish to admit it, she felt rather lonely without the lively yellow haired troublemaker. Eventually, Blake spoke up. “I think we can stay here for a bit, exploring the dataverse as well as keeping track of the message you set up.. Let’s say if they don’t reply in say… A day or so, we shall discuss where to head. ‘But Blake, why not now?’” the girl finished mimicking Yang’s voice, before instantly continuing on, “Because we might find something worthwhile in the Dataverse, that will help us formulate a plan in locating Ruby and Weiss. I would say I doubt they went through the other gate with the oddly behaving guards, and if it happens that they’ve found one another, I would assume they’re also together.. If their start in this weird world went the same way as ours, I’d assume they would’ve headed to Camelot… But we can’t be sure, of course.”
Blake rambled on about the possible plans and outcomes for a while before she trailed off into silence, clearly writing some kind of notes as well as sketching things into her Scroll, as the dexterous and nimble fingered girl continued her apparently highly tactical operation. But even as she was immersed in her task, something kept gnawing her at the back of her mind. It was honestly rather simpe; she missed her Diary from home. It was so much easier to take notes and sketch with a pen… If only it had online connectivity…
…..! Instantly the girl switched pages on her scroll as she began to sketch something. The girl was sketching an intricately designed, nicely portable sized book.. It was black in colour, as the girl designed small belladonna flowers onto its covers, the complex designs taking time for her to draw, as she was listing materials, such as the premium quality paper she wished it to use. The velvet coated covers. The beautiful, intricate pen that could be stored within the spine, making it seem as it didn’t even exist when it was socketed in its rightful place. And even with all the designs she set, the final one was something special. A connection to the Dataverse. Where she could set up something special for herself. ‘The Musings of a Cat’, written by someone called ‘LittleBlackBow’. This would be special, this would be something her very own.
And so, Blake was completely immersed in her task of complex designing and creation. Yang would know well enough, that when Blake was immersed in something as much as she was in this, the cat ears wiggling visibly underneath the black bow. There could be a cannon shot, and the girl would stay immersed in her task until she herself considered it done.

"Oh, right. That was the one." Yang nodded. Uncle Qrow and dad weren't very big on books, you know. We mostly had newspapers and the like, though Ruby did come to enjoy reading by herself. I was mostly about mechanic-focused mags, Motorsports and the like." She grinned and raised her hand, showing Blake her wrist. "Ruby and I built our weapons custom, after all. And I customized Bumblebee a lot. But, this King Arthur... do you think it could be him living here, or at least have left his capital behind after death? And do you think this other place, Coruscant, could be linked to the same thing, like... could it be another of King Arthur's cities?" She wondered. Honestly put she only knew snippets of the Arthurian saga - some king having pulled a sword from a stone, being accompanied by a wizard and having defeated various opponents with it. There also was some part about his bastard son killing him, but Ruby hadn't really understood that part when she had told her the story, so they had pretty much skipped it. "I'm pretty sure that Ruby will know more if we run into her." She grinned and poked Blake's forehead with her finger in response to her next words. "You know you gotta smile when you do a pun? You don't smile nearly often enough! But, seriously speaking, I'll trust you on this. You can sense things like these way better than I can." That part was something she herself attributed to Blake's faunus heritage - cats being able to read faces and emotions very well, and whatnot. But then again, Blake WAS the smart cookie of their group.
While Blake spoke on, Yang pulled up two chairs from the Café and slid one over to Blake without a word, as she didn't want to interrupt her. She waited for her to take a seat then did so herself. "Ruby would probably drag Weiss straight to Camelot if she found out what it stands for. Remember what she told Professor Oobleck? She wants to be a hero like those in the books. If she gets the chance to meet someone who's got a whole legend surrounding them, I'm pretty sure that she'll make a beeline for them. And Weiss... well, I don't know if they met one another. But where she would go, could be anywhere. Even if we count out the gate with the "fishy" guards, that's a, uh... One in seven chance that they met." She hmmed and looked around in a circle once, then when she returned her eyes on Blake noticed that she was playing with her Scroll. Yang grinned and shrugged as she backed herself up a bit and picked up her own Scroll. Blake wasn't going to pay attention for a while, that was okay.
Speaking of Scrolls... she opened the Dataverse app and navigated over to the entry she had left. Who knows, maybe someone had left a comment for shits and giggles, or... WHAT? "Blake? Blake! Ruby replied to our message! She says she'll add us as contacts! This has GOTTA be her... look at the way she writes, and... oh right." She probably could have waved her scroll around in front of Blake's face and the other girl would just have given her an annoyed glare and returned to her work, whatever that was. Better let her do her thing and get back to her when she was done. First things first, Yang opened the communication app and found Ruby's pending contact request, hitting accept. Then she worded a message to reply to them, before erasing it and rewriting it. Perhaps... no, it was better to make a call. She hurriedly pressed the buttons and brought the Scroll to her ear as the beeping stopped and was replaced with a very familiar voice.
-Ruby? Hey, is that you over there?
-RUBY! I’d recognize your voice anywhere! Yes, of course it’s me!
-Oh, yeah, I noticed! I found your contact request right after reading your reply. Sorry about Blake not adding you by the way, she’s into something else right now... you know how she gets.
-Hehe... so uh. Where are you? Is Weiss with you? We’re at what looks like Vale Café, but there’s white all around us. And portals, apparently.
-Camelot? Heh, we KNEW you’d go there. Blake mentioned that whole Arthus or whatwashisname legends, I knew you wouldn’t miss the chance to meet a hero from the books-
-Still great to hear that you’re together, though!
-Oh, you ran into each other? That’s great! Blake and I were pulled minutes from one another... I went through literal hell when Blake disappeared right before my eyes, before I got pulled here too.
-Well... Blake and I were looking for... ah, no. That’s too long. But basically I saw her disappearing in front of me, and I was the only one left over. I thought I would be alone, until I got pulled in too. I’ll explain the full story when we meet up in person, okay?
Ruby's next words caused her to blush a bit and bite her lip. -Uhh... hehe…
-Look, that’s past... we’re back together now. And I - no, we both - want to meet you as soon as we can.
-Someone else than Zwei can melt Ice Queen? Really?
-Oh, Blake’s just overdoing it. She’s a big pussy sometimes, hehe…-
-but okay, Camelot. I’ll tell Blake about it. How big is that place by the way, can we find you easily?
-Colosseum, Carnival, got it. I guess we can ask around til we find our way there. I’ll be using Bumblebee, so I hope you can hear the sound from afar. Anything else we should know about this place?
-Didn’t we already have tons of people in Vale?
-Woah, THAT big. Okay, yeah, that’s pretty awesome… well, I hope we can get there before everyone leaves then!
-Just ask her to stay a bit longer to meet your awesome sister! We’ll be right on our way, even if I have to tie Blake onto the back of Bumblebee.
-Well you know me. And Blake probably won’t notice… I mean, I’m looking at her right now, I don’t think she’s realizing that I’m talking to you.
-Oh right, I gotta get this summoning thing down… heh. But that’d be evil for Blake. I mean, she’d have to run next to me all the trip. Maybe I can draw her attention with tuna instead?
-Guess I could do that too. I’ll ask her about it, once she’s done with whatever she was doing… writing something, I believe.
-Might just be a diary, yeah. I have no idea. And you can get to him? I figured that all we saw of him would be the first time he greets us…
-Huh... That’s pretty wild, actually. Might be a worthwhile trip. But listen… I think we should be on our way, Blake and I. We’ll meet up soon, okay sis?
After Ruby was done they hung up and Yang lowered her phone, then looked to Blake. "I just got off the phone with Ruby, I know where they are. Are you there?
"..."
"Well, never mind that." She put her hands on a table and focused on summoning a tuna can. Perhaps she could get her attention for long enough to get her on Bumblebee... she wanted to get with her sister as soon as possible.
Quote:Full conversation between Ruby and Yang is detailed below.
R(uby): H-hello?
Y(ang): Ruby? Hey, is that you over there?
R: W-wait, Yang, is that really you?!
Y: RUBY! I’d recognize your voice anywhere! Yes, of course it’s me!
R: You were brought here too? I posted in that thingy on the Dataverse by the way, if you wanted to know!
Y: Oh, yeah, I noticed! I found your contact request right after reading your reply. Sorry about Blake not adding you by the way, she’s into something else right now... you know how she gets.
R: Yeah… I do know how she gets.
Y: Hehe... so uh. Where are you? Is Weiss with you? We’re at what looks like Vale Café, but there’s white all around us. And portals, apparently.
R: Ahh, you’re both still stuck in the Nexus! Yes, Weiss is here with me… she’s not doing all too well, Snow White can’t really take the heat here. We’re somewhere called Camelot, I’m sure Blake would know about it… it’s not too much like all the stories I read, honestly...
Y: Camelot? Heh, we KNEW you’d go there. Blake mentioned that whole Arthus or whatwashisname legends, I knew you wouldn’t miss the chance to meet a hero from the books-
R: Heh… about that…
Y: -Still great to hear that you’re together, though!
R: You won’t believe how happy we were when we found eachother in the infi- on the way from the gate!
Y: Oh, you ran into each other? That’s great! Blake and I were pulled minutes from one another... I went through literal hell when Blake disappeared right before my eyes, before I got pulled here too.
R: U-uhm… what do you mean by ‘you went through literal hell’? What happened?!
Y: Well... Blake and I were looking for... ah, no. That’s too long. But basically I saw her disappearing in front of me, and I was the only one left over. I thought I would be alone, until I got pulled in too. I’ll explain the full story when we meet up in person, okay?
R: Alright… as long as you didn’t go causing any trouble over it… you did, didn’t you?
Y: Uhh... hehe…
R: Hughh… I guess it doesn’t really matter anymore since we technically don’t exist… okay, that’s actually a kinda depressing thought.
Y: Look, that’s past... we’re back together now. And I - no, we both - want to meet you as soon as we can.
R: Alright, if you can come to Camelot and come meet some of our - well, MY new friends, that would be awesome! Weiss likes the dragon man though, that much she’s shown!
Y: Someone else than Zwei can melt Ice Queen? Really?
R: Well, when you consider he’s a DRAGON, I don’t see why not… but then again she also took a liking to my friend Jade’s dog, so I guess it’s those that aren’t human or Faunus that REALLY melt her! Oh, yeah, speaking of Faunus… we may wanna keep Blake away from the dog…
Y: Oh, Blake’s just overdoing it. She’s a big pussy sometimes, hehe…-
R: I can’t believe you really just said that…
Y: -but okay, Camelot. I’ll tell Blake about it. How big is that place by the way, can we find you easily?
R: Yeah, shouldn’t be too hard… we’re near this giant Colosseum structure, not too far away from the Carnival games.
Y: Colosseum, Carnival, got it. I guess we can ask around til we find our way there. I’ll be using Bumblebee, so I hope you can hear the sound from afar. Anything else we should know about this place?
R: ...apart from the fact that there’s lots, and I mean LOTS of people? No, not really.
Y: Didn’t we already have tons of people in Vale?
R: Take the amount of people who were watching the Vytal Tournament… and multiply that by two- nope, maybe three… and that’s JUST at the Colosseum.
Y: Woah, THAT big. Okay, yeah, that’s pretty awesome… well, I hope we can get there before everyone leaves then!
R: I just hope you get over here before I lose sight of Jade, haha!
Y: Just ask her to stay a bit longer to meet your awesome sister! We’ll be right on our way, even if I have to tie Blake onto the back of Bumblebee.
R: You REALLY like to have your way…
Y: Well you know me. And Blake probably won’t notice… I mean, I’m looking at her right now, I don’t think she’s realizing that I’m talking to you.
R: You… could summon a giant laser pointer and put it on the front of Bumblebee?
Y: Oh right, I gotta get this summoning thing down… heh. But that’d be evil for Blake. I mean, she’d have to run next to me all the trip. Maybe I can draw her attention with tuna instead?
R: Either that or you let her drive and you can enjoy the ride?
Y: Guess I could do that too. I’ll ask her about it, once she’s done with whatever she was doing… writing something, I believe.
R: Writing something? Like… a diary? That’s what I’ve been doing here, so that I can read all my adventures and maybe find some clues as to how to get to this ‘Omni’ guy…
Y: Might just be a diary, yeah. I have no idea. And you can get to him? I figured that all we saw of him would be the first time he greets us…
R: Ehhh, I’ve heard rumours… apparently you can get to him and he will answer your questions the best he can and grant you one wish.
Y: Huh... That’s pretty wild, actually. Might be a worthwhile trip. But listen… I think we should be on our way, Blake and I. We’ll meet up soon, okay sis?
R: Yeah, I understand. I guess I’ll see you later, Yang!
Weiss and I were fleet footed, and Zwei seemed to want to do the same, his short stumpy legs flailing in the air uselessly as we bolted across the expanse of the Nexus. Of course, I had to be careful not to use my speed, or Weiss would be left in the dust! We came closer and closer to the head of golden hair that was turned away from us, and my grin only widened more and more, like an elastic band. "Yaaaaaang!" I called out, and she spun to face me, pure glee shining in her sisterly smile and violet eyes.
"Ruby! Weiss!" She called back, arms wide open, and the three of us - because Zwei counts too! - huddled into her arms, which proceeded to clasp around us. We stood there, huddled like that for a few moments, before my sister let us go and we looked to each other. "I'm so happy we found you!" I said, smiling with a grin as bright as a star. "I'm so happy that you found us!" Yang responded in an almost parroting manner. "So, where's the Kitty?" I asked, looking over her shoulder, and spotting the black haired Faunus hunched over a device. "Doin' her writing thing, I guess." Yang thought, hands on her hips, as if in impatience.
"Blake!" Weiss called beside me, but Blake seemed to have been tuning out everything. "Eh, she's been in her own world lately." Yang shrugged, not elaborating on anything. "So, how was the place of legends?" She questioned, referencing Camelot. I simpered with a small jerk of my shoulders.
"Well, apart from going berserk, and the fact there was no King Arthur, and meeting a bunch of awesome people, and one nasty guy? I'd say average." I giggled, and Yang's eyes widened. "Wait, rewind, sis... berserk? What do you-"
"I'll explain later! I promise, I'll get around to it... just now's not exactly the time to talk about things like that." I trailed off, and Weiss picked up the track. "This white haired guy showed up and... did some things that made her pretty angry. We all know the few things that make her angry, I think you only need a few guesses." She explained, also giving an awry frown. "Oh, okay, I'll leave that there, then." Yang let it go politely. I was about to ask how they had been doing so far... but was halted by her pointing at my right arm.
"R-Ruby... you're..." She stuttered, astounded by the rainbow essence trailing from my shoulder. "Disappearing?!" I asked, and looked to Weiss; the same thing was happening to her body! "No, Yang, help us!" I pleaded, not wanting to be separated so soon after joining back up with her. "Ruby! Weiss! Don't leave me!" She cried back, but her voice was lost in the wispy trail of colour that floated up, two girls no longer standing before Yang, and leaving a small, two-toned dog behind.

Quote:This post is a flashback Blake had whilst immersed in the Omnilium ‘crafting’ of her upcoming book.
This is also rather gorey and bloody, because it is something I used to vent, as there was a family death at the day I wrote it.
Feedback and criticism is welcome.
Blake could remember the peaceful days. When they simply protested. When bloodshed wasn’t deemed a necessary action in order to gain recognition.. But times had changed since then. The style White Fang operated had changed since then. She remembered the days when Adam was still...Adam. When he had feelings, and seemed humane.. Yet now, as Blake reminisced, it seemed to her that the Adam she once knew, wasn’t there anymore.
Across the years, the White Fang had became more and more aggressive in their methods, first moving from peaceful protests to violent ones.. Then to sabotage, spying, and eventually even assassination. She still remembered the day Adam had mercilessly slit a poor dust merchant’s throat. The way she had screamed at him to stop, trying to hold his arm back. Yet in a single swing, it was all over. A flash of the red steel of Blush, and the merchant staggered back, his hands reaching to clutch around his throat. The way the crimson liquid had slowly seeped through, beginning to dribble along his fingers. The gurgling sound as the poor sod coughed, blood splattering out of his maw, staining his teeth and eventually splashing along the tip of Adam’s boots. The man’s legs giving out as he fell down onto his knees.
The faunus remembered still how it all seemed to have happened in something akin to a slow motion. Yet the blood on Adam’s boots did nothing but infuriate him further, the leg shooting upwards, kicking the poor fellow directly into the center of his ribcage. A disgusting crackling signing the fracturing of bones, as if to make certain that the human filth didn’t survive.
Yet Blake didn’t agree. She screamed at Adam, pulled at him with all her strength, wrinking the black cloth of his long jacket, tried to make him stop, as the man kept delivering kick after kick after kick into the poor, defenceless man’s stomach. Each drawing out groans of pain, spluttering more blood from both his gaping maw, as well as the gash in his throat.
Make it stop.
Make. It. Stop.
Why did this have to happen? She didn’t want any of this! She didn’t ask for any of this! This wasn’t the way to equality! Not through fear..! Crying, she slowly sank onto her knees, as Adam was already well on his way, perhaps away, perhaps to the next of his victims..
Sobbing, the faunus apologized over and over to the innocent victim. Tried to explain how this wasn’t how it was supposed to have gone. Like this was something that she couldn’t have foreseen, based on what had been happening for a long while already. Yet the reality was that she had simply closed her eyes from it. She had ran away from the truth. Like she always did. And there, as she was kneeling in the slowly pooling, still warm blood that was slowly staining her clothes, she realized.. She would have to leave. This had to stop. She couldn’t take it anymore.
Her partner didn’t care for human lives.. Not for the peaceful ways.. Not for anything the White Fang should’ve stood for. All he cared about was bloody, wanton vengeance. And Blake. Blake couldn’t associate herself with that. Not now, not ever.
--------------------------------------------------------
Suddenly, the girl snapped out of her trance-like state, and realized the item she had been working towards summoning, was there in her lap.. As well as the haunting memory of the shadows of her past, that she had just witnessed. Quietly, the girl called out, in almost a scared way, as if she was afraid her friend wouldn’t be there when she called for her. “ Yang… Yang…?"
