Sackboy in... the Tangled Web

After a few days, the burlap man reached the Tangled Green. It wasn't a particularly tiring journey, as no Stormtroopers found him as of yet. The gate before him was a stone arch made of limestone with vines winding around it. Strange intricate hieroglyphics were dotted all over the gate.

Sackboy walked in the ancient gate and found towering trees he couldn't even see above of and covered the entire forest floor with shadow. He took in his new jungle surroundings with both wonder and fear at the same time. He was going to have to summon something to protect him from the wildlife while he slept. Monkeys hooted and some sort of other creature gave a loud barking noise.

The doll continued on.

Jay had been wandering near the gate pondering whether to go further into the forest. Mid-thought Jay heard the portals ripple as someone entered the verse. He turned to face the portal fearing it was the men on horse back having finally caught up with him. What he was met with is what looked like an overgrown child's toy. It did not look threatening so he slowly approached.

" Hello there! I am new to this place. Well to be honest I am new to this world. Where are we if I my ask?" Jay called out to the odd looking creature.

[Jak Mar]

Jak said goodbye to his new friends and old friends in Camelot and looked Commander Torn in the eyes, shaking his head "I'm onto my next adventure, guys... Sorry i have to leave so soon."

Torn turned his eyes toward Jak "What about Daxter, in case you forgot what happened."

Jak sighed and closed his eyes "I know about Dax, dax can survive on his own in the dunes without my help. He's done it before. I'm not his mother anymore..."

Torn eyed Jak strictly "Jak, what is on your mind? Losing? Is that it? "

Jak rubbed his forehead and turned "It's more than that... I almost lost Dax..."

Torn shut his mouth as he sighed and turned "Alright, just be careful out there Jak.. I want to see your face again, I mean it."

Jak turned as he summoned a small motorbike, he waited for a bit as he began to imagine what the motorbike would look like in details, as it came up, the small motorbike popped up and jak squeezed the handles "Torn, watch out for Daxter... You guys mean alot to me... "

The darker wastelander grabbed the bike and headed toward Camelot's portal. Disappearing through it, Jak was back in the twisted greens. He stopped when he began to hear noises of talking. Once the noise got closer and closer, he heard two voices and frowned. From a distance, Jak summoned his blaster and it appeared in his hands. He slipped it on his back.

The Sackperson spoke through his text bubble, "I do not know exactly where we are. I just got shot by the police in Coruscant."

Just as he was about to say something, Sackboy heard the noise of someone waliking behind him.

[Erica]

Jay found it unreal to be reading a text bubble in real life. It seem the little guy had no idea where they were either which was no help at all. He let out and exasperated sigh his shoulders slumping over. He thought he was finally going to get some answers to the questions plaguing his mind. He said.“Ugh this bites.”

For someone who had been shot the little guy looked pretty well stitched together. Jay was about to ask another question about this Coruscant when he heard the rev of a small engine. It had come from the portal someone else must have just arrived.


Jay turned to see who walking toward them. The figure looked odd almost elfish but his ears were far to large to be within the species. His face looked fix in a permanent scowl, making him look not so friendly. This worried Jay he was not in any shape for a fight. His gut told him the guy could be that bad he was approaching unarmed so he could not be that bad. “Hello, are you new here is as well stranger?” Jay spoke with a small grin gracing his face. “ My name is Jay I just arrived here a few hours ago. Well not here but in some white space with some kind of weird looking fountain. I came through a portal of some kind. Sorry I am babbling , and this is …..well I am not completely sure on that one either.” Jay said scratching the back of his head laughing lightly referring to the small person next to him. .

"Well, well, well." the burlap figure said through his Popit, "It's you. Jak. The rest of the All-Stars always did have a tendency to beat me up when the Polygon Man brought us together, as I was one of the weakest of the fighters. Especially you."

[Jak Mar]

Jak was just about to speak with the newcomer named Jay and nodded "I understand, however I've been here about a few years now. I've traveled this place a lot, this place here? It's called the Nexus though.. a portal though...

Jak eyed Jay for a second and then looked at the smaller figure in front of him and the burlap sack named Sackboy's text bubble had shot up saying something how he and the all stars picked on Sackboy because he was weak or something...

Talk about making a bad first impression in a new world. Jak frowned and turned at Sackboy "We all fought against each other Sackboy, can't you figure out Polygon man was pulling our strings against each other?

"You're right." Sackboy said, "I'm sorry. That was... odd. I don't know what came over me."

[Jak Mar]

Jak nodded at Sackboy "It happens, but Polygon man's long gone.. But there are a whole lot more problems in this world. It won't be a easy task.

[Erica]

It would seem these two had some kind of history. The little rag doll did not even look like he could even be a fighter. " Well if you have been here that long can you explain what I am doing here. Just what am I supposed to do here? How can I get home to my people,....my world is probably in chaos right now." Jay said losing his nerve at the end.

[Jak Mar]

Jak's calmness had a least a little frustration under it still. He looked over at Jay and said "You remember that white figure you saw when you entered right? It was a long time ago for me. So I hardly remember what the figure told me. Jak crossed his arms for a second and said "There's various entertainment here, see new verses. Go visit some others. Find out for yourself. That's what i ended up doing with Daxter."

Jak was once in Jay's spot and tried to calm the man. "The worlds we once knew ... it's hard to explain." "My world is about the same way as well, but there's nothing we can do!"

Jak had to hide his own frustrations even though he wanted to help Jay deal with their pain.

[Erica]

Jay balled his fists in frustration and growled. How could this anonymous being snatch him from his life. His world depended on him to keep peace and lessen violence. " I don't know what to do in this world.....I need my powers back but I do not even know how to get them back working."

Jay turned away from both males he wanted to scream, but his training as a prince led him to try and keep his emotions under wraps. " Just wish I knew where to start at." Jay let out a breath he had no idea he was holding.

Sackboy heard several muffled bangs as the prince turned away from him. Then the unmistakable click of mandibles.

"Um, guys. Think we have a problem." Sackboy replied to Jay.

Sackboy coughed as he inhaled some invisible chemicals.

"An ant problem."

Sure enough, the doll watched in fascinated horror as four titanic insects surrounded them, two earthbound, two miraculously floating in the air with clear wings.

Oh, the buzzing. The discordant buzzing!

OOC: These gigantic ants are from the Smash Up card game.

Jay immediately jumped back closer to the other two males as soon as he heard the buzzing. This made Jay move all other thoughts to the back of his mind. His fight training was kicking in as he analyzed the situation. These ants were huge but Jay had seen bigger in the Earth Realm of Electria. This was not a fight he was willing to participate in, but he had no other choice.

Jay reached back behind him as if to grab for something only to get air. He had forgotten that he no longer had his blades with him. It was at this time one of the land bound ants lurched forward attempting to catch Jay in it's mandibles. Jay felt the mandibles scrap against his back as he ducked and then rolled out of the way. " Ugh!! Darn it! You are going to pay for that." Jay said scrambling to his feet.

Sackboy fired some cake at one of the flying ants, but it bounced off the exoskeleton. A ground ant rushed towards him, but he held his shield in front of him. The soldier bounced off it.

While it was stunned, Sackboy dribbled a ball of jam right into the ant's eye. He threw another one at a winged ant as the jammed ant stumbled away back to wherever hole it came from.

[Erica]

Jay jumped dodging the guillotine like mandibles. He landed on the beast head as its, and grabbed both of its antennae and pulling them backward causing the insect to rear up. Pulling the antennae tight Jay scaled up the ants head jumping over the edge bringing the antennae with him. The ant was sent falling forward as Jay jumped off the antennae and rolled away as he ant slammed into the ground.

"How ya like me now you over grown bug? Get lost!!"Jay spoke mockingly.

The other ants dashed away for their life, as Sackboy was bombarding them with jam and cake.

[Jak Mar]

Jak wasn't scared, but the man would scare the rest of the ants as he hid. Sparks came from the man's body as it surrounded his body. He'd finish the job. The hero wasn't himself, but instead stood a darker man. One with longer fingernails, black eyes, and really scary black horns. Perhaps even Sackboy could recognize the form Jak had turned into.

The ants just ran faster as they saw the Eco-imbued man dashing towards them.
