The main issue that I have, and have had throughout the discussion of it, with the call system is that every working American is gonna be in front if their computers within the same 4 hour period, making it super shitty to try and find a day to post. Like, I'm not staying up till midnight on a work day so that I can post? There are 16 freaking people xD

Other than that, a call system is whatever to me. It's not my preferred writing style, as I write fairly slowly, but if that works for everyone, ABSOLUTELY fine with that. I'm one dude here out of mood than a dozen. I'm really glad others are speaking up.

And I support a second thread just to vote.

I'm not trying to usurp the conversation in any manner. I just want us to get started so we can finish this before Christmas.

I can see where Omni is coming from. You wanted a way to keep this thing from going too long, and his option certainly fits that bill. It would also allow for a mass style of combat that Sasuke was hoping for. If the round deadline were extended to 7 days, and each person who "calls" a posting time was allotted 4-5 hours instead, would that be better? You could always write up a rough draft before you "call in" and fill in the details in that period.

For the math, 7 day rounds would cut the fight to 21 days. A far more manageable time scale.

I like this suggestion, though if more time is needed, you could up the round deadline to 10 days and the call duration to 6-8 hours. However, that will extend the duration of the fight to about a month, so it's up to the participants to decide if they're willing to have it last that long.

For the sake of discussion/debate, I just want to say that a 12 hour call time would mean that, if everyone uses that full time (or close enough to it), only 14 people can post in a round.

The way I understand that is that any post you make can be no more than 800 words.

So the Call duration is settled. I also think that, since no one explicitly said 'F**k you guys,' that we'll take a reprieve from posting/fighting/murdering each other on the 26th. I vote that we have a thread where we express why we're thankful to know the other writers in the fight, because 'dawwwww'

I started a vote on when we're going to actually start beating the snot out of one another and included an extra thing I think we should all do (if you don't already). That is, setting the forum to GMT, instead of whatever local time zone you live in.

I was under the impression that it was one post per participant per round. Otherwise, what's to keep two people from performing a "filibuster", and calling in immediately after the other posts, ad infinitum?

I agree, if like they just started their clock, but if there is like an hour left, I don't see the harm in it... BUT... I mostly agree with Thaal.

How is Ganny D making this fight? I may be wrong, but after looking over Legacy and War, I didn't see any mention of him being informed IC about the going ons.

Also, Stewies justification seems to be that he just wondered into eyesight of Sinestro's light show. He had two posts in the nexus and his first post in the dunes was him joining the fight. I'm not questioning the travel time(Although Nippur is not close to the gate or close to LAW or TWWNN.), but the believably of it. Do we accept just stumbling across the fight as IC explanation? By that logic ANYONE in the verse(Or the Nexus for that matter.That's where Stewie was before entering Legacy and War) could join this fight and pick a side. =S

I guess if we do accept that, then Ganny D is free to accidentally fall into our fight. I guess... -_-

I might be wrong about this, as my memory is iffy and I don't really want to dig out the thread, but long ago just about when I first joined the site or there after Gannon, Sinestro and a few others had a meeting in the TWNN and I think at the conclusion of this Gannon and one or two others (Starzio and 18?) where actually headed to Nippur, and then stuff happened and life and Gannon was never seen or heard from again till recently?

I mean technically he was already on his way there forever ago? Sandstorm put him off track and he just showed up now?

Because Ganondorf was on his way ot New Babylon in the most previous thread he posted in. It's been a plan of his for a long time, as evidenced by his IC actions.

I might be wrong about this, as my memory is iffy and I don't really want to dig out the thread, but long ago just about when I first joined the site or there after Gannon, Sinestro and a few others had a meeting in the TWNN and I think at the conclusion of this Gannon and one or two others (Starzio and 18?) where actually headed to Nippur, and then stuff happened and life and Gannon was never seen or heard from again till recently?

This seems like a stretch to me. Also, I don't think they ever began traveling either, just made plans to. (Could tots be wrong about this tho, and will read over the settling scores thread now)

Yeah, I wasn't so sure myself so I edited mine saying that Sinestro or Gannon could tell you better. *shrugs*
