Character source:
Original Character from “Darker than Black” universe; before the main story.

Character history:
Hokori - Dust - was a healthy baby boy when he was born. His only misfortune in the world was he lived while the woman who had labored so hard for his birth was dead. Early on, however, another woman took her place. Loved and cared for him, seemingly as if he were her own.

But this was a facade.. Several times in his life, she thought about sinking that blade into his back, how ugly he was. To look just like her! The woman who she’d killed 16 years ago! But she waited it out, thinking she only had a couple more years to go, only to be slapped in the face by her husband with divorce papers. No. No way! He knew too much.

So they took a vacation, to the bitter cold peaks of Russia, and what waited in the tundra, was death.

Hokori watched as his step-mother tortured and taunted his father, while a strange man watched with glee. Gagged he couldn’t even call for help. But he was more enraged by all of this, instead of hopelessly lost to find his caring mother was sadistic and had murdered his real mother.

When she had her fill, she cut the elder Hoshi’s throat and set her sights on him. She decided to play with him, throwing him out into the snow and telling him he only has a five minute head start. When he asked what the head start was for, she laughed at him and told him he was supposed to be running for his life.

When she found him next, he was changed. His star activated and he was in full wolf form. When he came to, he had her head in his hands, staring at him in intense fear. He had the urge to kiss the decapitated woman and the worse part was.. He did.

He found himself back to civilization, only to be captured by the Russians. Forced to join their ranks. And logically… it was his only choice. He had nothing waiting for him back in Japan, just a lot of now meaningless friends and questions he was sure would never be answered.

There is where he stayed.. In the bitter arms of Russia.


Physical Description:

6'9", 200 pounds of pure muscle, dark hair, grey eyes, and slightly tanned skin - covered in scars.

Dust’s basic attack is partially transforming by elongating his nails. The nails become harder and black, growing out to only about an inch longer than normal. This happens over a matter of seconds, and lasts until he uses another ability.
-The cost for this is a simple kiss that lasts 3 seconds at least.
