Character history:

In Kanto, hidden away on an island laboratory, Team Rocket's leader Giovanni employed the best and brightest to clone Mew, thought to be the precursor of all Pokemon, from a rare follicle of its hair. Giovanni's vision was to create the ultimate Pokemon from Mew's essence, who held the genetic code of all Pokemon. The process began by cloning Mew from the DNA sample and genetically engineering it to become a being of unbridled power. However, their goal proved troublesome, and many attempts at creating the ultimate Pokemon fell by the wayside.

From this process, the Pokemon Ditto was born. These amorphous blobs were the result of an early failure or termination of a cloned Mew, and thus retained many similarities to the legendary Pokemon; colour, weight and the ability to transform into any object, person or Pokemon it could see. However, these Ditto lacked the intelligence that Mew had, and wandered aimlessly around Kanto, absorbing into the wild Pokemon population.

Yet there was one aborted experiment that gained a level of intellectual prowess far above his peers. This Ditto, while the same as all others in composition and power, was self aware. Soon after he was expelled from the laboratory as a failure, he gained consciousness and cursed his fate, believing that he was the true clone of Mew. If only the scientists hadn't given up on him so quickly, he would've grown into the perfect clone and become the ultimate Pokemon. Using what little knowledge was fed to him during his creation, he disguised himself as a scientist and reentered the facility, planning to enclose himself back into a stasis tube for further experimentation. Yet when he returned, the scientists were all dead and the laboratory was trashed. In the centre stood a new Pokemon, its purple eyes aflame. Instantly, Ditto knew that this was the ultimate Pokemon that he was supposed to become. Mewtwo gripped Ditto with his psychic strength and flung him against a wall. When he came to, Mewtwo was gone.

Ditto swore to find Mewtwo and learn his secrets. He travelled Kanto, using his Transform ability to become whatever the situation needed him to be. He gained access to an incredible amount of data on not just Mewtwo's creation, but the sum knowledge of all Pokemon. His journey twisted him, making him obsess on his one and only goal.

Once Ditto located Mewtwo, cloistered inside Cerulean Cave, a strange sensation took hold of him, and he vanished from Kanto.

Just so you know, if you use any 'natural weapons' like claws, tails, etc from your transformed modes, they'll each need moves. That includes separate moves if you have a super-long tail like an Onix (assumedly it'd be a slower but stronger 'weapon' than a small tail). Similar ones can be categorized together, at my discretion. Just making it clear now so it doesn't become a problem down the line. Sounds like you'll also need Illusory Shapeshifting.

You'll need Remote Control for Vine Whip, for the grabbing part, or Debuff Proficiency if you prefer and simply want to hold opponents down (I recommend Remote Control).

That's fine about Vine Whip, I'll replace it with this:

Razor Leaf (300): As a grass-type, Ditto launches a flurry of small but sharp leaves that fly straight ahead of him.

Why would I need Illusory Shapeshifting though? Would that be a better fit for Ditto than Physical Shapeshifting? I thought the latter was more correct since Ditto is actually physically becoming that person/Pokemon/etc.

Physical Shapeshifting allows you to physically shapeshift but as you want to actually take on the appearance of other things in a way which could be deceptive, especially given that you can transform into other people. This'd basically be a catch-all for that. You don't absolutely need it, just a recommendation on top of Physical Shapeshifting. If you want to fool people, you will need it. Otherwise I'd recommend you do something to 'flag' that it's still obviously Ditto like his body remaining pink. I'm assuming you've read the Beast Boy example from this guide as well?

Yep just did then. I've edited my join template for Razor Leaf, and removed Elasticity for Illusory Shapeshifting (I will buy Elasticity later, since Ditto looking like what he transformed into is kind of his thing). But by the Beast Boy example, I will still need to buy moves for each transformation (eg. one for Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander)?

I've just gone through and changed Illusory Shapeshifting a little to allow for a little more usefulness especially in regards to combat usage, so it's not like getting punched in the face will automatically throw out your form. The bad news is that it's now 800 as opposed to 600 because it's more useful.

Also, Physical Shapeshifting is 1400, you just get Elasticity included with it if you don't already have it.

Yeah, you'll need either moves for each transformation, or moves for specific natural weapons like normal claws, teeth, tail (which you can then mix and match). For you it'd probably be better to simply buy a move to represent each Pokemon, with their full set of natural weapons, and the caveat that you can't mix and match, since you probably won't be anyway.
