I wake up to a white figure with just the biggest grin on his face. It chortles and says in a familiar voice
“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.” I try to punch but pain sears through my entire body, suddenly my arms reach out and Omni hands me a glimmering orb in which all the colors of the rainbow coalesce. "This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most. You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn. That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”
My head spinning, I begin falling and black out.
I wake up, body aching, and pull my hood off my head. I begin to get up, shaking my head and focusing my vision. I prop myself up on the nearby fountain, rainbow colored water spurting up from the center spire and dancing down into the water below it. I slowly pull myself up using the wall of the fountain, arms shaking and my breath shallow. Sweat begins pouring down my pounding head, as I take my first few steps in this strange world. I unfurl my grey, feathery wings and try to move them which sends searing pain through my entire body causing me to blackout again.
When I come come to again, I sigh, rolling onto my back. I rub my face with both my hands and sit up. This time, I can feel some of my strength has returned and begin picking myself up again. I stumble to the fountain's wall and splash the lukewarm water onto my face. I unfurl my wings, slowly, and find them to be at a dull ache. This causes me to wonder "How long was I asleep?" I shake the thought away and begin to scan the surrounding environment. As I traced around the fountain with my eyes, I could see as the patchy grass gave way to utter whiteout and went on for what seemed infinity. I lift my head to what seems to be the horizon and scan around again. I can see archways dotting the circle of the horizon and decide to go to the nearest one. I begin to walk (west) towards an archway with what looks like black dots around it...
