Anyways you won’t likely believe it, but I only found out about this whole thing a day or two ago from the Squire's Precipice. Great chaps. But now that I finally understand what’s going on with me and everyone else I have to ask... are we all fucking nuts?

We are primes and I don't know about any of you but... I don't go looking for death even if I am more immortal than I used to be. So truthfully this topic is for everyone to post their feelings, aspirations or just to taunt the hell out of everyone else.

That is if anyone else in this little Renaissance Fair even knows that the Dataverse exists.

Anyways, my two ryou for this thing is that, I have no clue where I stand in all this. I just got pulled into this world about four day ago by a crazy all powerful deity. Told that anything I want can be created through the essence of him (anyone else getting a perverted god complex vibe?), and dropped down without a map.

Yeah it’s a bit disconcerting so after finding out I can die with no problem and come back to life just the same… I see this tournament as chance to learn about our world but I’m not looking forward to getting my ass kicked. Seems like I can barely do anything I used to do. Unless everyone else is my shoes as well and have pieces of them missing as well, it feels like I’m the only one.

Any friendly advice?

Also first time to Minas Tirith, any suggestions for places to visit? What tourists trap to avoid? Still have a few days before we all you know try and kill each other, for honor, glory and loot.

Not looking forward to that either, but one must do for the sake of bettering their survival.

Also what kinds of rewards are we expecting? Last week I would have been hoping for mounds of gold. Now the stuff is as useless as paper. Perhaps more so.

Omnilium might be a good start but even that seems simplistic for as awesome as it is.

Maybe we should all meet up and invade some tavern. Drink until we’re dead drunk the night before the Tournament’s Eve.

Thoughts? I hope I’m not just shooting my mouth off to the void where no one will hear me scream in frustration.

well, good to know that at least i'm not the only one with some degree of misgiving about the entirety of everything that's going on around this place. or this tournament, or whatever it is. leaving the apparently and supposedly all powerful creep deity aside, since just thinking about anything related to him makes my blood boil, you are not the only one who is pretty sure there are plenty of nutcases involved in this. and apparently i am one of them. slightly more or less immortal than i was before, dying still sucks. a lot. so going looking for it is....eh....the exact opposite of a smart thing to do.

i personally want nothing to do with this whole tournament business, but i am being dragged along mostly against my will and common sense, by a clown. because it's a 'bonding exercise' or some....such bullshit to that effect. if i die and don't end up coming back this time, he's going to be first on my 'to haunt' list.

speaking of not being able to do anything you used to.....yeah, that's shit. but pretty sure it's the norm around this hole full of shit and stupidity. before i got my ass dropped off here i was pretty much literally a god of time, y'know, rewinding entire planets timestreams and frames of chronological reference if i sneezed too hard....now i can barely rewind my glasses to fix them after they get broken. having just about no power is pretty standard i guess, but you get stronger or get more of your old tricks back the longer you're here, or something. so you're probably not as out of luck as you might think.

personally i'm just kind of hoping i survive this entire tournament business. that will literally be enough of a reward for me. can't speak for anyone else though.

and as far as prizes go? meh, forget about it. probably something arbitrary and completely pointless. omnilium of some amount is as good a guess as any, i guess, but....yeah. fuck it.

What's a clown? Whatever inbuilt translator in me says that its some sort of fool for hire kind of thing but... Considering how strange this place I can’t help but think you might not be sarcastic or exaggerating.

But yeah crashing a Tavern at this point sounds good if anyone else is interested. I don’t know any good places at the moment.

Last thing we need to do is get food poisoning… wait can we get food poisoning?

The only positives I can think of this whole thing is that if I ever do get out of here is that I have an idea of how many different cosmologies exist out there. Possibly find a place that’s better than the last world. But yeah. I’ll let that stand there.

So Omnilium is what we can probably expect. Will that be the unexpected burst that I’ve come to get to know or an actual cash OM prize?

Not opposed to it but in my world these thing have a lot of history of having a lot of hype for a reason. Got to expect something spectacular… or some random giant monster crashing the party that requires us to combine our powers-

And time manipulation?

Of all the fields of power and science I’ve explored, I’ve touched that one the least though I have… contemplated it. A few of my historical figures have had some talent in its manipulation though only in the barest of senses. Whatever it is my powers don’t seem to quite work that way yet.

Though considering all the things done to us I may have to look into that.

a clown is basically exactly that. they paint their face and apparently live off of being completely ridiculous and being insufferable to be around. they're basically a giant pain to be in the company of for longer than a minute or two.

never really been much for crashing much of anything, aside from maybe any given vehicle i might happen to be piloting. i'm not the best driver. never been to camelot before today either, so no real advice from me on that one either.

food poisoning is shit. complete and utter shit. i wouldn't be surprised if our omniscient lord and summoner would get a kick out of seeing us get it, either. so smart money that no one has is on the answer being yes. we can.

take what positives you can get out of this whole thing, i guess.

pretty sure the spectacular part comes from everyone being....y'know....in possession of weird and fantastical powers and junk. it's bound to be pretty amazing to watch, even when you're not the one fighting.

time manipulation is a kettle of fish you don't want to mess with. trust me. i got like some kind of weird kind of pseudo-omniscience about how it worked back when i first ascended, and what not to do...and i still fucked up and caused more than one paradox. unstable time loops. destroyed an entire universe....i think. don't mess with it.

then again it might work different here. hell if i know. just be careful, man. it's bad news if you mess up.



also, jak? that's a little scary. most people are a little put off by the prospect of kill or be killed. especially if it's just for the glory and entertainment of others. but who am i to judge.

May have read above but I'm new here as well, normally don't sign my names to these sorts of things but most call me the Withering Rogue or Chiei Shikaze. Real names are too personal too dangerous. Though given the likelihood that no one I know is here. It may not matter right?

Getting a bit late for a Tavern imagine but if all three of us survive this thing might be up for a good drink. My partner who came with me though is glaring cause that I might over indulge.

While I would never willfully subject a person to this universe others seem to do so whenever the whim fits. Needs butler? Summon one? Feel the need to torture and old enemy? Summon one in a pit and kill them several times... Thankfully that last one I heard third or fourth hand.

The people I’m with came with me so obvious He has some sense of family rather than rip my world entirely apart. Which is strange given how he’s left others completely alone.

So Jak, given that this is your thing. Any suggestion or advice on how not to die?

As for time manipulation, some of the techniques I know of its inherent though the precise amount is a little vague due to the nature of pocket universes and stasis. But I’ll take your word for it and be sure to not mess to much with temporal mechanics. Last thing I want to do is make myself cease to exist.

And I’ll try and bring some iced bottled ale with me into the tournament meeting hall. Good way to settle nerves before the fight starts. Though personally I prefer brewed cider or sake if I’m feeling particularly in need of getting drunk.
