Character history:
The German War Machine is tearing through Europe and the Allies need a hero. Young art student Steven Rogers volunteers for an experiment that may grant the scrawny New-Yorker his long awaited admittance to the US Armed Forces. He is given a serum and pelted with powerful Vita-Rays. This "Super Soldier" serum alters his body, giving him superhuman strength, speed, awareness, and endurance. He is sent to fight in WWII as Captain America, a symbol of hope for his allies and defeat for his enemies, accompanied by a young boy named "Bucky" Barnes. He faces vile fiends like Nazi soldiers, Hydra, the Red Skull, and Asgardian Frost Giants alongside allies like Nicholas J. Fury, Namor the Sub-Mariner, and Dracula himself!
In a final desperate attempt to foil the Red Skull's plans, Cap and Bucky are stranded on a rocket with no escape. Bucky sacrifices himself by throwing Cap into the frigid waters below and suffering the brunt of the blast. decades later, a frozen block of ice is found in the Arctic and praised as a god... Until Nick Fury (surviving WWII and Vietnam with the help of the Infinity Formula, extract the star-spangled soldier from the ice. Cap is introduced to a strange new world full of new allies, old enemies, and a radically changed social structure. He is invited by the Mighty Avengers to join their ranks, proceeding to face gods, celestials, aliens, his old partner Bucky, and the Hulk!
Bucky later is rehabilitated and takes up Caps mantle following his supposed death. Rogers returns ans director of S.H.I.E.L.D and allows Bucky to retain the shield. Following the events of the Fear Itself story line, [spoiler]Where Bucky is murdered by the red skulls daughter (who possesses the equivalent of Thor's Hammer) and Thor falls in battle with the legendary Serpent, Odin's half-brother,[/spoiler]
Cap returns as the shield-wielding hero we know and love and proceeds to assist in the clean-up of New York... and the world. Suddenly he is no longer rescuing citizens, but in an empty white land inhabited only by a strange white child

His extensive experience with this move allows him to throw with such precision that the shield ricochets back towards him unless directly interrupted. This move has the potential to cause lacerations or blunt trauma, depending on how or where the shield strikes and his adversary's equipment.
Vibranium Shield- 300
During WWII an ambitious doctor shared an iron alloy with Captain America an formed a triangular shield. It quickly shattered in combat due to stressful encounters with villains. However, T'Chaka (King of Wakanda) gifted President Roosevelt with a lump of the rare metal vibranium, part of which was dedicated to a new rounder shield and armor plating for Cap. The shield is broken during Fear Itself, and is then repaired utilizing the Asgardian metal Uru. This shield can absorb some kinetic energy, essentially preventing severe impacts from injuring Captain America. It can deflect small arms fire and resist high caliber bullets and small explosions.

Employing his tactical mindset and superhuman strength, Captain America unleashes a single strike at a perceived weak point with great force. This move can possibly disorient or debilitate. It is a quick and powerful blow delivered point blank or following a powerful leap forward, however it strains Captain America's muscles greatly.
