Welcome to another edition of the Community Accolades! Since our favourite android who wants to be a real boy has taken a well-deserved vacation to grease his joints, I will be serving as your temporary host.

Simply put, the Accolades involve nominating (and later, voting for) those who have outdone themselves in a particular area each month. For variety's sake, the categories for each month may be different.

You have until the end of the month to nominate your choices. After that, we will proceed to the voting phase where members will vote among the two individuals with the most nominations for each category. The only exception is if someone manages to get 5+ more nominations than the runner-up, in which case that person becomes the winner by default.

If you wish to participate, think of who stood out the most in a particular category this month and post your choice, along with a 2-3 sentence long explanation, in this thread. You are not barred from nominating your own characters, nor do you have to fill out all the categories.

The winners will become this month's "Community Stars" and will receive a blue user title in recognition of their achievement.

So, without further ado, here are the categories:

‘Best’ Character – Which character has you engaged the most?

‘Best’ Writer – Which writer wowed you the most?

Most Helpful – A staffer or a member who gave you amazing feedback on a story or was simply there to help you sort out some of your problems.

Rising Star – Which up-and-coming member stands at the crème of the crop? (must have joined within the last month and a half or have less than 8000 OM)

'Best' Story – What story did you find most riveting/entertaining?

'Best' NPC – What non-player character (can be a site, personal, or story NPC) entertained you the most (for whatever reason)

BC: Ditto. I read his shit in the Book Club and was entranced. A fantastic villain character with no need for all the emotional baggage that comes with Ganondorf and some other folks.

BW: Eighteen. She came back from Limbo and it was like she never left.

MH: Strazio. Totally subjective here, but he's been a driving force behind the LAW formation, and he's always around... like he doesn't need to sleep.

RS: Black Mage. Because he'll be the first black person to get into the Accolades.

BS: Gotta confess to not reading a whole lot of stuffs recently, so I'm gonna nominate Mr. Ditto again. I really DID enjoy the read of his story.

NPC: Mr. Torgue. Because he's Mr. Torgue, bitches!

‘Best’ Character – haven't gotten to know all of the characters yet but i'd have to nominate Thaal Sinestro. Loving that character more and more.

‘Best’ Writer – a very very difficult choice with this much talent on a single forum....but i'd like to nominate Gildarts. I've enjoyed several threads from her and the way she discribes things just got me.

Most Helpful – As a new member of the omniverse i had 2 people help me out ALLOT, both Gildarts and Guu were there for me...and seeing as i have to choose one i flipped a coin. I nominate Guu

Rising Star – I nominate Envy, even though he hasn't posted as much as he wants, he writes his character amazingly. Also a great guy to have a chat with Go Envy! #RememberHughes

'Best' Story –It may not be the most important story nor contain the strongest characters... but I'd nominate " Drink up me hearties" From Mickey and Nealaphh. The way they portrayed the characters and an unexpected chemistry. Writing a better review for the book club.

'Best' NPC – i keep this one open...sorry.

Best’ Character – Honestly, I liked Gadge a lot, but he got scrubbed...luckily, my second favorite is his replacement; Danaerys.

‘Best’ Writer – This a tough call, but I'd have to go with Mickey. His storytelling is extremely well-structured.

Most Helpful – Dark Link takes it this month.

Rising Star – Ma boi Demetri Malius. He's a solid writer and latched on to the site like a natural.

'Best' Story – Nealaphh's personal story is really starting to shift in to high gear, but I keep going back to read 'Elfbone Extraction'. Nominating that crew.

'Best' NPC - I love Millie, she's so different than either Kopaka or Nealaphh. ♡

‘Best’ Character – This month, I'm gonna have to go with Retane. The whole thing about his eggs is so intriguing, and so interestingly structured that it could potentially get him nominated for Best Writer, Best Story, and Best NPC with me, so I decided just to lump it all into here.

‘Best’ Writer – I'm gonna have to go with Belle on this one. I've been mostly keeping up with "Midnight Rose" (I still have to read the latest post) but his style is just incredible.

Most Helpful – My vote for this goes to Proto Man. In the weeks leading up to his vacation, he jumped on the update train and has been absolutely killin' it. You go, Alex.

Rising Star – Definitely gonna go with Demetri Malius. Boy's got some chops and is super friendly in the chatbox literally all the time. Kill 'em. (Black Mage/Yu Kanda, you were in serious contention for this too, but Demetri's just had a little more time to win my heart.)

‘Best’ Story – I don't read NEARLY as much as I should, but for this, I'm gonna have to go with Settling Scores by the various members of LAW. Honestly, I think that thread will probably be looked back upon as Omniverse-changing, simply because I can see LAW in a year from now becoming something integral to the makeup of the site. Damn bad guys, I'm comin' for ya!

‘Best’ NPC - Having recently discovered the joys of writing personal NPCs, I'm digging this particular category, and for it I'm gonna have to nominate Gildarts' Molly. That cute little girl is super fun to write with and read! (Holy moly, we'll have a whole crop of secondaries to nominate after that saga next month)

‘Best’ Character – Dean

In his writing he captured Dean to a tee, and it's no secret I love the character even DEMON DEAN. A lot of his traits have great potential for future plots AND character interaction. Can't wait for more to come when he returns!

Most Helpful – Thaal!

He's done a great job, and has been so helpful in the Read It Back (RIB) thread that I couldn't have done it all without him. And he's a supercool dude.

'Best' Story – "Drink up, me hearties!"

So far I really love it and not sure if I am allowed to put this here but Captain Jack Sparrow and Leviathan are both amazing together.

NPC- BWNN - Caret (played by Android 18)

BWNN is badass, and the way she is described has a lot of style and intrigue, I really love who she has come to be, and the relationship she has with Shepard is a cool one. I can see Caret dominating the dunes and developing a very essential role there in the future.

Character - Hard choice here. I've been following a couple of characters recently, which makes this a difficult choice (you guys need to make your characters more boring, to make this easier next time). Retane is gonna get my vote this month. I think him birthing 6 cute lil Namek babies was pretty cool, and unique. The way normal characters are made, this would have been almost impossible (considering the time it takes to have a child, and how long it would take them to grow), but a character like Retane, a Namekian, have maternal progress more similar to a dogs, where the children are born and mature quicker.
Honorable Mentions - Omni, finally getting another sample of the Omniverse's God was glorious; Nealaphh, a god entity, which has been cultivating the attention of other Primes

Writer - Another hard decision to make, and it basically came down to activity and consistency; Gildarts gets my nom this month. Ever since DA, the heats been cranked up, and Gildarts deserves recognition for all the great work.

It is known down here you could spit out the window of your car and hit a church... but for this site someone can through out a question and Dark Link will hear it. Good job man! ‘Best’ Character – This was A REALLY tough choice.. I was torn between Neal and Mickey. I love me some Mickey but I think I have to give it to Neal. You earned it for keeping my mind mystified at what your character even is.

‘Best’ Writer – Without a doubt Magus. Your work with the battle was really Well writen. Even though you didn't triumph, I still think you deserve recognition. Good job.

Most Helpful – Guu. Need i say more?
