"More About Me"
#1
Want to casually get to know someone, but don't know how?

This thread is just for fun, basic, and completely random questions you've always wanted to ask someone. They start up conversation and can just be nice.

(Perhaps to the person above, because they will be looking for it.)

PLEASE NO: prying questions about rl. Some people don't come on the site to talk about it, or may find it invasive.

YES: Favorite song? Favorite book? What is the best thing about writing to you?

RULE: To break the ice, you must first compliment someone, then ask away~

Demo:
Quote: Edward Elric: Mara, you're looking good today ^w^

Hey... what's your favourite sort of literature?

Myself: Genre wise, I've always been partial to mystery, or books that make the reader think (such as philosophy topics) but I like anything with a good pace.

Gildarts has proven over the last few months that she (he IC >_>) is a solid writer and worth following the adventures of. The character is very interesting and you're very good at narrating and explaining.

What style of books do you usually enjoy? Which characters here do you find yourself idolizing personally?

Thank you for saying so, I respect your skill so that means a lot to me ^.^

Book style. Medium to long sized chapters are nice. Short seems choppy to me. I like a clean font, I'm partial to third person, but I like stories that follow one particular character rather than hop to preference (just because the pacing seems roll better and with more finesse with a common attachment/relation.)

Idolized characters. Relatable is big for me, and the fastest way for me to tell you the kind of characters I like is to start where I don't. Wusses don't appeal to me, because I always just get annoyed and shout (Shia Laboef lol) "JUST DO IT!"

Pacing is best when I can find myself growing with the character. I don't have a favorite kind though, because I can find myself relating to a lot of people for numerous reasons.

Everybody is looking good today.

If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, i'd choose Tacos.

Alright, here's a interesting question: You're favorite video game has become real, would you take the chance to be in that world or not?

My favorite video game changes like... all the time. So I'll answer with my most recently played one. Smash Brothers. And not a chance. I like not getting killed ALL THE TIME.

Ganny D: I really appreciate the way that you're willing to work with a big group of people, even though it can kind of be a pain sometimes. It really helps build the community.

If I only got to eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be a nutritive brick that had exactly all my my nutrition requirements in perfect measure.

Ok, now that we're done with my "I'm a pedantic asshole," answer, I think I'd probably go with high quality pho or ramen. I love noodles, I love those soups. I mean, it would be kinda inconvenient to eat, but I think the point is that we like the taste enough to eat it forever xD. I don't really HAVE a favorite food, so this is a really tough question for me. I like to cook a lot and I like FOOD a lot, so there's a lot of stuff out there to enjoy.

To anyone: What superpower would most help you accomplish your personal aspirations OR help you overcome your greatest fears?

@ Sinestro: Immortality. That's it. My greatest fear is death. Not dying, per se... but a phobia of ceasing to exist. To me, even hell is preferable to not existing at all.

And you're probably one of the coolest guys I know. Lots of fun to chat with. More than that though, you have goals and plans for the LAW that I WISH I could have. While I have general ideas and stuff, you have like... short term and long term goals and stuff. So detail oriented!

I have the exact same desire for that power. It is at the top of my list, well, perhaps below Perfect Shapeshifting (because you can just shapeshift into a less injured version of yourself, or a younger version, or an invulnerable version), and above Teleportation.

And thanks man! That's a really badass compliment you just gave me. Thank you so much!

Thaal, I didn't know you when you were here before, but I really admire the way you have just thrown yourself into the community and made yourself such an integral part. Your commitment not only to your own work, but involving yourself at least in an audience manner in others' work, is something I would like to see more of in others and in myself. It's very inspiring.

That said: what do you struggle with most in your writing?

@Gilly: You are a lovely person to chat to, and I have not once seen any form of hostility or animosity from you, and I believe no one else has either.

I want to answer daddy's (Ganny) question!

Sushi. Just sushi.

Anyone can answer this question: what would your dream house/place of residence look like?

Ruby/ Lubbock, you are a really fun person to talk to in chat and your writing is always enjoyable to read Smile

that is a difficult question, I guess my dream place of residence would be small so that it would not be hard to maintain, but big enough that I could have plenty of space for all the junk I buy, probably a pretty modern looking building rather than old.

My question is for anyone, what do you consider your end goal for your character, if you have one?

I was a lot less awesome back in the day xD But thank you so much, that means a lot to me.

I think the hardest thing about writing for me is the editing process. Its always work to get your post done, and you're always excited to get it out there and have people read it, or get the OM. Being patient and re re re reading something, moving party, changing things, that can be rally difficult to have the patience for. I don't think I'm alone in that; editing is the hardest part for a lot of people. It also really shows when somebody doesn't take the time to do it.

Victor Wolfe Wrote:My question is for anyone, what do you consider your end goal for your character, if you have one?

Yo, Vic Smile what can I honestly say, dude? You saved my ass during DA, and I'll always be OOCly grateful for that lol. Despite being one of the new kids on the block, you managed to surprise a lot of people during DA, and outgun some pretty key pieces and players. The more I read of you, the more improvement I see in your strength, skill and flexibility as a writer. You're a really chill dude and I'm glad that you've decided to stick with us.

To answer your question; For Jon, it's really for him to find some semblance and acceptance in his situation. Once he finds out there's no going back out of the Omniverse once you're placed in it, Jon's still gonna want to uphold his Nights Watch vows in some small way. Mainly, I just want him to find purpose and a new mission in the end, so I wouldn't really call it an "end goal" as such, just what I have for him from a far-off stance for now.

As for Alex... nope xD I've only really just begun role-playing as him, I've got a lot to do and plan with him first Tongue

Now, for my own question: If you could become any fictional character from any book/video game/source material, who would it be and why? Doesn't have to be limited to just your own characters/Omniverse characters.

I have not read the stuff you have written yet Professor Layton but from what I have seen from talking to you, you are a pretty cool and chill guy, the few times we have talked in chat have been fun and i am look forward to seeing what you do with the character. Now any movie hmm probably Scarface, there is just something I love about the way it takes a character that should be really easy to hate and makes him easy to sympathize with by giving him some redeeming traits, its a very human story, also the soundtrack is awesome.

Onto Jon Snow, I am really Glad I healed you in DA, you used the opportunity and went on strong writing some really great posts, and that's exactly what I wanted, it would have been really disappointing if you did not use the second chance and step up your writing to an even higher level, fortunately you did and I have no regrets about it. I hope to get the chance to write with you down the line Smile Now if I could be any character from any medium I would pick Lelouch Lamperouge/vi Britannia from Code Geass, the power he has is really strong and versatile and his genius level intellect allows him to use it to its full potential.

Another question from me that can be answered by anyone, what other characters did you consider before settling on who you are playing now ?
