Differences Between Shapeshifting And Malleability

Hi, I was thinking of doing a Shapeshifter build for my character but I was wondering, what exactly are the
key differences between malleability and shapeshifting? I read the page on them but they sound very...similar
to one another. Could one of you guys help to explain this, please?

Shapeshifting is mostly cosmetic, allowing you to completely alter your appearance to anyone you've met. Great for illusive trickery, but can also be physical like a werewolf transformation. Think of Mystique for an example.

Malleability is akin to being made of putty, allowing you to shift and warp parts of your body for specialized purposes, even forming limbs into organic weaponry. Think of Majin Buu or Mr. Fantastic for examples.
