The Shadow Over Costa Del Sol (Open)
#1
Nealaphh emerged into the ridiculously bright sun of Costa Del Sol, its three eyes squinting in adjustment to the beautiful seaside vista. The ocean town was a bizarre mixture of a tropical city and something you might see from Cape Cod. Nealaphh didn't really pick up on the dissonance of these two clashing maritime cultures; its was focused more on staying out of sight of the Imperial patrol that was marching down the street. The shadow stuck closely to a large crowd that was moving in the opposite direction, trying to duck into a nearby alleyway when it could. It worked for the most part, but as the battalion walked by, one of the rear soldiers noticed Nealaphh's green eyes watching from the shadows.

"Sir, let's scout this alleyway. I saw something..." the grunt said, peering into the darkness even as Nealaphh retreated deeper into the dank gloom. The lead stormtrooper, who wore some sort of orange shoulder pad, turned around slowly and spoke in a dismissive tone.

"Check it yourself, private. The rest of us are heading to the mess." the lead said, rejoining the rest of the ranks. The stormtrooper who had spotted Nealaphh watched for a moment as the rest of his compatriots marched off, and let off a small sigh. With angry vigor, he shoved his way past a couple of civilians into the alleyway. The trooper shouldered his rifle and crept slowly down the puddle-ridden lane, peering in every direction, looking for signs of movement. Suddenly, before he could even scream, the trooper was bashed against the brick wall once...twice...thrice...until he went limp. Nealaphh emerged from a pile of trash bags, approaching the dazed man with grim purpose. Clearly moving around in its usual attire was too conspicuous within this verse; it would need a better way to blend in. What better way than to wear a full suit of face-concealing armor that also brought a modicum of authority with it? As such, the god-mind absorbed the soldier's Omnilium into itself, perfectly disposing of the body and leaving an empty suit of armor to don. Nealaphh also reabsorbed its cloak, and after a few minutes, had the stormtrooper attire fitting more or less perfectly. The god-mind looked down at the blaster rifle that sat in the grime of the alleyway with disdain. Such human weapons were beneath its use, but it would need to tote the useless trinket in order to better play the part. The god-mind called the gun to its hand and exited the alleyway, back into the sun.

Suddenly, a loud voice came blaring in Nealaphh's ear. The regiment captain wanted to know what was taking so long. Nealaphh elicited a mental sigh and fiddled with the radio pack on the armor's waistband until it figured out how to turn the blasted thing off. Now, dressed in acceptable camouflage, and unbothered by petty military concerns, Nealaphh journeyed out into the city to try and find a few, small items of note...

Demetri's eyes scanned his surroundings as he walked through the town streets. He used his senses to try to find any trace of the prime that had been in the mechanic's shop, but he found nothing. This town was slightly bigger than the one in his home world, but it was very different in style and form. May buildings seemed oddly mismatched, and he still couldn't get over the guards with their white armor and weird weapons. They seemed to be some type of firearm, but more advanced than any he has ever seen. He began to worry that this world held many surprises of the unknown. Upon this reflection, Demetri decided to head towards wherever the markets were. It was often that they would come across valuable items, and try to sell it for a profit. They would sell items with extremely valuable information and not even know it due to their inferior knowledge.

Demetri passed a few guards along the way, and they seemed to keep an eye on him whenever he came near. Perhaps it was apparent that he was not like the others around, especially in his current garments. He began eyeing any merchants selling clothing, hoping to get a chance to sneak away with some unseen, but it was much harder than he expected. The population here was much higher than what he was used to, and it was broad daylight, hardly a second went by without at least one pair of eyes being set upon him. He began to walk along the outskirts of the market, which was less compact and gave him better chances of stealth.

Suddenly, he felt a strong presence. What was this? Another prime? Perhaps the one that had left his armor back at the shop. Demetri used his peripherals to casually look at his surroundings, and noticed a peculiar guard off into the distance pass the streets. He seemed to be the one radiating such power. Demetri realized that he also seemed to be getting information from the presence of the prime, although very hazy and blurred in his mind. It seemed to be a part of his newfound powers. As the prime became more distant, Demetri seemed to lose this connection. He must follow this person, whoever it was, and find out more about them. Perhaps the man from the shop had slipped into a guard's armor, it was completely covering their features after all, and was extremely clever. Demetri hurried towards the direction of his target and began to track his presence, keeping his distance to avoid detection.

What was I thinking, I can't do this! What if these people are vicious o-or cannibals? They might eat me! .... No, I'm being ridiculous. If they wanted to hurt me they would have by now, right? Maybe I should just find someone who knows what they're doing... do they have those people here? What was the name... Police. That was it. I should find the police, or the closest thing to it. They can help. I.. hope...
Cat stumbled through a group of people, tripping over her own feet as she slid in between the scowling people. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea, if people were mad at her then she probably wasn't going to get much help... Police. Right. How would she find the police here... everyone looked alike to her. Tan and oddly dressed. Though... due to the weather and climate, that did kind of make sense. Cat's bright pink hair and pale skin made her stand out, and she felt like everyone had been watching her as she went past. A slight whimper escaped her throat as Cat shrunk into herself, her gaze locked on her feet. She scratched at her forearm while she shuffled on, occasionally glancing up to see where she was going. The street became crowded with people the further she went, making it harder to see around them to find anything. Cat was shoved and bumped into too many times to count, and it was even getting hard to see the street at times.
I should've just waited for someone to come find me instead... I'll never find anything like this. How am I supposed to find anything in a place I don't even know? It's hopeless...
Cat forced her way through the swarms of foreign people, stumbling on her way out and falling against the side of something really hard and uncomfortable. She sniffled and looked up at what -or rather, who - she had run into, tears starting to slowly drip down her cheeks. He was wearing a full suit of some kind of armour with a visor that kept his face hidden.
"S-sorry sir, I... I'm just a bit disoriented... I'm sorry... Could... Could you help me? I.. I don't know where I am... Please?"

Nealaphh had found its way to a market that appeared to be suitable for its needs. Better still, there was very little Imperial presence here, which made it trivial to navigate the crowded lanes with impunity. The people of the market gave Nealaphh a wide berth, thanks to the official uniform it wore, which made it easy to see the merchandise being sold without an inhibited view. As Nealaphh slowly strode through the bazaar, it was also plucking scraps of local information from the minds of various passers-by.

All at once, a young woman with shock-pink hair. She immediately began blubbering something about being lost and not knowing where she was. Irritating, but more importantly, it was drawing attention. Several civilians had paused in their shopping to watch the scene unfold. Nealaphh could hear what their expectations were...they were expecting the shadow to verbally accost the girl, perhaps even arrest her. This was problematic, in that Nealaphh could not speak directly to other denizens. Thinking quickly, Nealaphh grabbed the girl harshly by the shoulder and spun her around, clapping a high-tech pair of handcuffs around her wrists. She almost immediately broke down into panicked tears, and the crowd began to jeer and heckle Nealaphh for its actions. This didn't matter to the god-mind, for at least it now had an opportunity to get out of sight. Pressing the tip of the blaster rifle into the small of her back, Nealaphh escorted her away from the market without uttering a single word.

After a short distance of walking, Nealaphh happened upon an empty bungalo of some sorts that had a view of the ocean. The door was locked, but with a quick mental sleight of hand, the door swung open on its own. Nealaphh shoved Kat into the dimly lit beach house before closing the door with a telekinetic tug.

Now the god-mind had the problem of dealing with this young woman. It did not want to harm her if it could be helped, but it was important that no one knew of Nealaphh's presence in Costa Del Sol...

Little did Nealaphh know, however, that it had been followed by an unseen observer...

Demetri was soon able to sense the prime again, and as he walked closer, he was able to take some information from him. Whoever it was inside that armor was powerful. The primes powers seemed to be mental, but before he could get more information, another presence entered his sensory field. Another prime, a girl it seemed, with pink hair and skin as pale as the moon. The two primes didn't seem to know each other, and the girl was a mess, pleading for help since she appeared to be lost. Interestingly enough, the other prime swiftly turn her around and shackled her with some kind of advanced cuffs, but why? He didn't say a word, no answer to her plea and no reason for her arrest. The locals began harassing him for his actions, but he paid no attention.

The armored prime took the girl down the street, clearly in a rush to escape the area. Demetri followed close behind, at least until they reach the outskirts of town by some empty beach houses near the ocean. Demetri let them slip out of his sensing reach, but he watched from afar as the prime led the girl to a empty beach house. The door immediately opened as he shoved her in and closed, all on its own. It was clear that he had the ability to control objects and perhaps other things to his will.

Demetri needed to think. He could confront the figure about his actions, but he would surely lose a fight if things escalated. He needed to get on it's good side, propose something positive, something that would peak his interest. What did he want, perhaps to escape, or maybe to infiltrate the local fort. In either case, he clearly wanted this girl off of his hands. Perhaps that could be it. But just to be sure...

He paused for second to summon a single kunai then hid it in his cloak, if he was wrong, he would need it for the first hit, or at least a distraction. It would be possible to flee to town from here, although it may not guarantee his safety. He exited from hiding behind the bungalow and proceeded to the armored prime. I spoke with a sly grin, as i needed to come off powerful enough to be respected and handle myself, but not enough to be a threat. If this prime knew he had just arrived, he may throw me in with the girl. Demetri grinned slyly as he spoke with confidence, as he usually did when approaching guards or other ne'er-do-wells from his home world.

So it looks like your plans may not be going to well... You have to deal with this girl that has come out of nowhere and you need to be able to blend in around here with no witnesses. Perhaps I could be of assistance.

She'd been arrested. All she'd done was bump into him and ask for help, and now she was being marched off to some unknown place with an unknown soldier in and unknown universe. Tears streamed freely now as he pushed her along. The crowd seemed to part around them, scared of the soldier perhaps?
What did I do? Did I insult him? Break a law I didn't know? What is he going to do with me? Am I going to die? I don't want to die! I just wanted to go home! All I wanted to do was go home and now he's going to kill me and toss my corpse into the sea. I'm dead now...it's all over. He'll kill me and then I'll never get back home.
Cat's breathing was getting heavier and she choked on her tears. She stumbled more often as she kept walking, no choice but to follow the soldier's directions. He still hasn't spoken but the cold point of the gun stayed pressed against her back. The ocean drew nearer as Cat's sobbing grew louder, making each breath even harder. The gun pressed insistently against her and changed direction to an empty house.
Where is this? Why is he brining me here? Is this some kind of torture dungeon? O-or is he just reluctant to kill me out in the open? I-I don't wanna go in there, something bad will happen for sure. I should've stayed in the creepy white place, I wouldn't have been in this situation if I haven't left! I don't even know why that Omni thing took me. I'm just me, and I just want to go home where it's safe.
Cat's fear spiked as she saw the door open without anyone touching it, almost as if it were possessed by a ghost. The soldier shoved her in without a word, slamming the door shut afterwards. The girl sobbed and shoved herself back until she ran into something hard, her vision too blurry to see anything but the colour blue, everywhere. She could hear though, a voice... A man's voice. It seemed to be speaking to the soldier. Cat couldn't fully comprehend what was being said, but she could tell it was probably something bad if it involved the soldier. Maybe he was trying to sell her as a slave? That would explain the house, but not all the blue. Where had that even come from? The thing she was leaning against was warm and kind of tingly, like electricity perhaps. It was oddly comforting, and as time passed without anyone touching her she started to calm down. Cat curled up on the floor leaning against the blue wall, wiping away her tears and trying to convince herself that she'd be okay.

Nealaphh whipped around to look at the source of the voice. It was a young man, who spoke with a strange affectation. He was dressed in dark robes, much as Nealaphh had been previously. So, it appeared as though it had not entirely escaped scrutiny by marching this girl off to this ideally clandestine location. There was no telling what he was capable of, but normal denizens of the Omniverse usually were not so bold as to confront potential death in the face. The black-clad youth was, more than likely, a prime. There was no telling how dangerous he might be, so the situation had immediately become perilous.

Just then, Nealaphh noticed a strange blue light radiating from behind itself. It preferred to keep its eyes on the stealthy prime, but the blue light could potentially be an attack, so Nealaphh quickly projected a spacial warp between itself and Demetri before turning its head to regard the source of the light. It was the girl; she was emanating a strange blue field of light. At this point, it was apparent that Nealaphh was, in fact, dealing with two primes. While it had gained much power during its time in the Omniverse, Nealaphh did not favor its odds in fending off two other chosen of the Smiling One at once. Perhaps...perhaps there was another way to turn this situation to its advantage.

With slow movements, Nealaphh lowered the shield between itself and Demetri and telekinetically moved the blaster rifle it was toting to the far side of the room. Since neither of the primes immediately made a move to attack, Nealaphh proceeded to slowly lift the stormtrooper helmet off of its face, revealing the glistening, black, stoney skin underneath and its three green eyes. Both of the other primes looked startled, and the girl looked nearly terrified to the point of being ill. Still, the god-mind gently lowered the helmet to the floor with a telekinetic hand and crossed its arms as if it still wore its thick robes. With a gentle mental nudge, it reached out and tapped the minds of the two individuals, speaking telepathically.

I am glad that we now seem to have an opportunity to discuss our current situation in the privacy of this abode. First, let me clarify that I do not intend to harm either of you. My business, as you have so astutely deduced, is a matter of clandestine nature, so it is critical that I am not forced to reveal my presence in public. Nealaphh said, nodding to Demetri. It then turned to regard the pink haired girl, who seemed almost too nervous to look the shadow in its eyes.

I apologize for my crass appropriation of your person, young miss. The crowd expected me to treat you as a criminal, and therefore rough handling was called for. You are free to go now, if you so choose, though I sense great confusion in your thoughts. Perhaps it would be better to stay with someone willing to help. it said, blinking slowly. If it played this situation right, it could, potentially, gain two powerful allies in this otherwise hostile verse.

Quote:As an aside, both characters will probably notice that the air is very cold around Nealaphh.

Soon after Demetri had spoken, a blue light began to shine behind the armored prime, from the beach house. Demetri could sense the girl, apparently she was using some type of defensive move. It was long lasting and could block most ranged attacks and severely slow melee ones. The armored prime noticed it as well, and seemed concerned by the way its head turned back and forth. Suddenly, the area between them warped, creating some kind of fisheye look. Demetri focused and understood what it was. It seemed to be a type of defensive move which can deflect a decent amount of ranged attacks. Demetri realized he had no defensive moves, hopefully his skill and speed could make up for it for now, but soon he would need one. As the armored prime led him inside, Demetri was able to read off a few more powers off of the two of them. He had most of the information about them but there was most likely still-

Suddenly the armored prime began to take of his helmet. Demetri and the girl were both shocked to see the entity and his three glowing green eyes. Clearly he was not human, and the air around it began to cool, like some kind of paranormal event. THe being spoke to them with his mind, clearly with telepathy. Demetri listened closely to get a better sense of it's goals.

As it finished, it was clear that it wasn't hostile, at least at the moment, and it was considering us to be possible allies. This was perfect, having another two primes by his side would be great, and it seemed that the girl could be a great support.

Perhaps it would be better if we were to stick together, we might be able to accomplish more. Demetri then turned to the girl. And you seem to have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Luckily, none of us mean harm. Since you said you were lost, maybe it would be a good idea for you to stay with us.

Over this time, Demetri gained the rst of the information about the two. He mulled over the current events, he was at a great advantage almost everything about them, and yet they have not a single idea what he can do. It was a safe play for him.

The room spun. Everything was blurry and warped. It was clear that the two other men... was the armoured one even a man?... they both tried to talk to her. One of them spoke in her mind, but the voice was loud and it bounced around her head like a spiked ball. It hurt and it kept scattering her thoughts around the spinning room. Small snippets of the other man's voice were comprehensible but the rest was a mess of sounds and gibberish. Were they trying to talk to her? Or were they debating amongst themselves about what to do with her? Cat didn't understand anything. She used the wall as support as she attempted to stand up, succeeding temporarily to stay upright before her legs gave out and she fell forwards, slamming her head on the ground before she could catch herself.
Cat's head continued to ring as the blue walls disappeared and she began to blink, everything getting dimmer as she continued. After a minute or two, everything went black and stayed that way, her eyes not opening anymore as she went limp. The girl's breathing shallowed but continued, indicating that she was just knocked out and not dead.

Nealaphh stared at the black-clad man for a moment.

I suppose that depends on what you need to accomplish. I, personally, am in need of some exotic lab equipment. Unf-

Nealaphh stopped mid sentence as it heard a dull thud from behind it. The girl had apparently passed out from panic. Nealaphh would have to reassess her potentil usefulness if she was this susceptible to anxiety. Still, her abilities could potentially be worth the hassle, and Nealaphh would not gain anything by being hard-hearted in this situation. With a gentle, mental touch, the god-mind worked its way into Cat's psyche, pulling her back into consciousness. As her eyes fluttered open, she immediately resumed cowering, and the blue shield raised as if it was an automatic response. Well...perhaps it was. Regardless, Nealaphh kept a hold on the girl's racing psyche, using its telepathic abilities to prevent her fear response from overpowering her logic centers yet again. Cat sat with a dazed look on her face, and Nealaphh was vaguely aware that Demetri was staring intently at all of this.

Be at peace, young one.

You are in no danger here.

You are safe.

You will be protected.

You will tell us who you are.
Nealaphh said, emphasizing each phrase with deliberate firmness. Honestly, her reactions hinted at a larger underlying problem. What exactly had The Smiling One done to this girl? Nealaphh turned once again to Demetri.

You as well. Explain your nature. Then I will divulge my own personal details.

Demetri watched as the girl slumped over and landed face-first onto the floor. It startles him, and he began to wonder whether or not she had much power. Then again, she seemed to show more of a supportive role. The entity with the green eyes began to speak to her, almost hypnotizingly, as she regained consciousness and returned to cowering from them. The other prime spoke again, requesting that they both explain themselves. It was reasonable, after all, it did reveal it's own reasons, as far as they knew.

Demetri glanced between the two. It wouldn't hurt to share his general information and objectives. My name is Demetri, I am an informant of the sorts, and I happened to be in this vicinity looking for any information on other primes. I tend to be able to find such information relatively easy, and it's quite useful. Demetri directed his voice to the entity. What about you? You have revealed your reasons to being here, but I have to say, I'm not quite sure what you are.

It was... It was in her head. The black-skinned man had gone inside her head and woken her up. How... Why... Cat was stunned and scared, hiding in a corner. Well, as much of a corner as she could be in the sphere. The creature was still in her mind, she could tell. It was like a subtle hand was tweaking things, keeping the fear at bay. Cat watched it nervously, trying to persuade herself that he wasn't intruding in her mind to harm her, that he really was there to help. Peace... I can do that... But.. Am I really safe? How do I know you won't try to eat me or something...?
The black creature wanted to know who she was, as well as the other man. They must not have been working together like she thought. Silently, Cat stayed hidden inside her blue bubble as the other man gave an answer, tears starting to drip down her cheeks.
who even am I... Where am I from? Do I have a family? How old am I? When and where was I born? Was I even born? Is this what I'm even supposed to look like? What am I? How do I use this blue thing? Why can I use it?
As more and more questions came up without answers Cat began to sob agian, the blue wall beginning to dissipate and the feeling of safety with it. What if she didn't have a home? Or a family? What if she wasn't even real? Was any of this real? Was she dead? Were they all dead? Maybe this was some kind of abstract afterlife? Cat choked on her tears, shrinking into herself and no longer calmed by the black creature's influence.

Well met then, Demetri. I suspect we will be able to make great use of one another. Nealaphh said, bowing its head ever so slightly. With that out of the way, Nealaphh turned its attention back to the blubbering female. She had once again slipped into the grasp of fear. It really was quite astounding how susceptible she was to existential panic. On the other hand, she was practically screaming her thoughts into the mental airspace between them, so the god-mind didn't have a hard time picking up on her general train of thought. The amount of existential dread that she was experiencing was borderline paranoid. The Smiling One had truly made an error when he had brought this girl into the Omniverse, but more importantly, she truly did not seem to have any memories beyond general contextual functionality. She was a prime yet...she had no recollection of The Smiling One or of her status.

...how fascinating. Had the Smiling One deliberately erased her memories for some cruel reason, or was her mind simply so prone to hysteria that she was suffering from shock amnesia? Again, Nealaphh could only contemplate on how it could use these circumstances to its advantage. A blank mind was a desperate mind, and desperation lead to obedience. This other prime, Demetri...Nealaphh doubted it could have any real control over him, seeing as he seemed to have a very powerful mind. This girl though...she was but putty, waiting to be formed.

Nealaphh took a step towards the window, so that it could see the two of them at once. Though the girl could was unable to bring herself to look up from the floor, Nealaphh was certain that she could hear its words.

I...am Nealaphh. I do not fully understand what I am, to be completely honest. This form is not the one I held before coming to the Omniverse, and its true nature is still not fully known to me. However...I do know that I will carry out the duty I held in my home world here, as well; to ensure that all sentient minds reach their full potential. I am a scholar, a scientist, and engineer. I have made it my business to solve the problems of this Omniverse, and see that its cruel overlord is deposed.

With this, Nealaphh focused its Omnilium reserves for a few moments, forming two copies of a book which bore the title The Monotruth. It floated the two books over to Cat and Demetri before continuing.

This is my thesis on the Omniverse, based on my own, personal perceptions. For you, Demetri, I hope it brings a fundamental knowledge of this world. For you, girl, I hope it brings the solace of understanding your situation. It is an ongoing project which I work tirelessly to complete. I hope that you two may be able to assist me in furthering this goal. Nealaphh said, crossing its arms again. At this point, it had done all it could to win the bid for these prime's allegiances. Hopefully they would both be intrigued enough to at least stay until Nealaphh had acquired what it needed...
And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I

Demetri held the book in his hand. It definitely had some weight to it, and the cover was enticing. He quickly flipped through the pages, scanning each one for a moment to get a glimpse of what it entailed. It held information on the flaws of each verse and some basic rules that Nealaphh wished to carry out within the omniverse. His sworn enemy, Omni, must be the being he saw upon being summoned here. Demetri did not expect to get such useful information so quickly, and he was thankful to the entity for it.

This information is quite helpful, and I wouldn't mind aiding you in your endeavors, trying to investigate all of these issues must be a hassle, especially since you can't be everywhere at once. Demetri glanced at the girl, who seemed still seemed to be in shock as the book hovered in front of her. You said you were after some type of equipment, correct? From a lab? How should we help?

Nealaphh didn't know as much about himself either. Does that mean it's not uncommon for people to forget who they are here...? Cat doubted that anyone had lost as much as she had when she was stolen. At least Nealaphh knew his purpose and he was going to complete his task. He knew where he was going. Maybe he could get her home? O-or he could help her remember, if there was anything to remember. Nealaphh knew what he was doing... So did Demetri. They could keep her safe, right? She could trust them?
A book hovered above ground in front of her, an identical copy already in Demetri's hands. The Monotruth... What kind of book was it? From the way Nealaphh spoke, it was scientifical, or perhaps philosophical. I'm not sure I trust it... It could get me arrested for real, or it could kill me. But... Nealaphh also said it could tell me what happened. What... What had happened? I'm not sure I want to know, but... Perhaps it'll be useful. I.. I'll read it later. Cat looked up from the book to see Demetri had already finished reading and was talking to Nealaphh. She didn't need the book to know she could trust it and likely the two men in front of her. They could take care of her, keep her safe. It was a small price to pay if they needed a little bit of help.
Cat stood up shakily, still unsteady on her feet but made her way over to the other two with the book clutched in one arm. She stood next to Demetri, looking up at him a moment as if asking him if it was okay and then hanging on to his sleeve like a lost child. She could help, sort of. Somehow, she could do something to help the two of them.

Nealaphh watched as the girl rose to her feet. She still said nothing, but she moved to Demetri and clung to him, as if a child to a parent. Nealaphh was still surprised at her level of paranoia, but for someone suffering from amnesia, it was more understandable. Still, the fact that she was willing to approach the two of them was a good sign.

The god-mind turned its attention back to Demetri. The man's purported affinity for espionage would indeed be useful in the near future. Nealaphh decided to gamble on fate and divulge more information to the man.

I thank you both for your understanding. As you have read, Demetri, it is my current goal to slay the dragon Volvagia. To do this, I will require a special weapon made of exotic materials...Osmium, primarily. To obtain the quantities necessary, I need access to an industrial grade electrolysis machine, as well as a fusion reactor, preferably with a three terawatt output or greater. Nealaphh said, while removing an armored glove from its black, shiny hand. As it did so, it turned its palm facing upwards, reavealing a strange blacj bead embedded in the ebon flesh.

Suddenly, an image was projected from the bead, showing the schematics of the machines Nealaphh had in mind. They were not small, by any measure, and would likely require vehicles to transport.

Obtaining these devices in and of themselves would be sufficient, but ideally I would have access to an entire facility dedicated to this type of process. As such, my optimal scenario is to find a secret route into Coruscant where I can construct a temporary facility for such purposes.

Nealaphh closed its hand, and the floating images vanished.

Of you, Demetri, I will require all of the data you can acquire on potential locations for these devices.

The god-mind then turned its head slightly to regard Cat.

Currently, your best course of action would be to learn more about your capabilities. If necessary, I am willing to share some of my memories with you, if you require more information about the Omniverse. I believe this abode will serve as a safe place for you to stay, for now.

Nealaphh then telekinetically called the stormtrooper helmet and blaster to its hands, refitting itself with the imperial disguise.

I will attempt to find potential ways into Coruscant. We should all meet here tomorrow. If either of you require assistance, you can contact me through my Dataverse device.

With that, Nealaphh folded its arms together and waited for questions.

After Demetri had addressed Nealaphh, the girl rose to her feet and inched her way towards him. She gave a nervous look as she clutched his cloak, most likely for reassurance. With her amnesia and paranoia, as far as he could tell, she needed all the stability she could get. Although Demetri wasn't the comforting or emotional type, he gave her a quick smile to ease her before returning to look at Nealaphh.

Demetri was intrigued by the way the prime demonstrated what he was looking for. It was clearly advanced, and he had never seen anything like it. this world was full of surprises, and Demetri wondered what else there could be and what he would be able to use to his advantage. He listened intently to the dark figure's explanation of the machines, and although he didn't understand what it did, he memorized its image and information enough to be able to question others about it. He ran through everything in his head as the prime also addressed the girl. This was all quite interesting, and perfectly in his field of expertise. He then waited until the entity was done talking.

Sounds interesting, consider it done, I'll most likely begin with the fortified base by the city, it would be good starting point to find out more information. Perhaps... Demetri glanced at the girl, realizing that she never revealed her name, most likely because he didn't know it. Given her condition, it would be best not to ask right now, but it would talking to her much easier in the long run.Perhaps our pink haired friend can help, given that she wants to of course. Oh, and what is this dataverse device that you speak of, I haven't heard of it.

Nealaphh withdrew its hand from the stormtrooper glove again and showed Demetri the bead implanted in its palm.

The dataverse is an electronic system for organizing and transmitting packets of information across long distances instantaneously. This is the form I chose for my device, but as a prime you should be able to create your own. Nealaphh said calmly, before replacing its glove. He fact that this prime did not know what the Dataverse was signaled the god-mind that Demetri was far newer to the Omniverse than Nealaphh might have assumed. This was not to say that the shadow would let its guard down around the svelte human, but the threshold of danger had been considerably reduced.

As Detmetri nodded and took his leave, Nealaphh also began to stride off, but the girl detached from Demetri and proceeded to cling on to Nealaphh, though she still refrained from looking either of them in the face. The god-mind was not sure how to proceed at this juncture; it was not used to handling matters of sentimentality, outside of directly modifying other being's thoughts.

The girl said nothing, but reading her emotions and surface thoughts was trivial. She didn't want to be left alone in this strange world. There was too much that was uncertain. This was, frankly, bothersome for Nealaphh. The shadow did not have time to coddle a paranoid prime into being confident enough to face the Omniverse, yet...her power seemed unique. Nealaphh squinted at the young woman for a moment before relaxing its body.

If you wish for someone to be with you, you must accompany me on my ventures. I do not have time to sit idle in an empty house. Nealaphh said, it's normally serene voice taking on just a slight edge of irritation. Cat responded by clinging to its arm even tighter. Nealaphh wracked its infinite brain for a solution for a whole two femtoseconds before deciding on a solution.

Perhaps you will feel more empowered if you summoned something. You have the power to create anything or anyone you desire, so long as you have the power reserved to do so. Nealaphh said, holding a hand out and creating a small, intricate glass sculpture. It detached itself from the clingy girl.

You try.

Nealaphh seemed to pause for a moment, and Demetri realized that it was most likely that most primes should know what it was. He cursed himself for a moment, but he figured it would reveal too much about of a rookie. Demetri nodded along as the entity explained that the device was, and that Demetri could summon it himself if he wanted to, given that he had the power. As Nealaphh finished explaining and began to take his leave, the girl quickly let go of Demetri and rushed to his side. It seemed she would rather follow the shadow than him. Perhaps it was better, as Demetri could not guarantee the safety of the girl, and this may make his infiltration much easier. Nealaphh began to encourage the girl to summon items using her power, and Demetri began to step towards the door.

I shall depart in search of the devices you requested then. I'll contact you with any information I gather. Farewell to both of you

With that, Demetri gave a small wave as he exited through the door. He would have to trace his footsteps back through the market and towards the fort, and look for a weakness within it. He lifted his hood over his head and covered his face save for his eyes as made his way back into the market. With a new objective, he quickly made his way past the locals, avoiding guards when possible. Once through the buy market he began to make himself familiar with the side streets of Costa del Sol.

The streets was warm to the touch, each step of his foot wrappings quietly hitting the paved road covered in sand. Demetri hung close to the buildings and mapped out the area surrounding the fort. There were plenty of alleyways between the buildings, which served great for cover and hiding while bypassing patrols that protected the outer base. There seemed to be on entrance, the front gate, and the sturdy sandstone wall around it must stand at least 15 meters high. there were towers at each corner, reaching another 5 meters higher than the wall and provided a scouting position for any troops. It seemed that two troops stood at each tower, although they didn't seem to pay attention much, often bickering or discussion matters due to boredom. Occasionally some homeless local in rags would stumble upon the front gate, but quickly be shooed away by the guards. the guards themselves seemed to have a type of reinforced armor all over their body, most likely specialized in defending against weapons like their own. The joints would likely be the most vulnerable when in full armor, especially the neck. This would be a tough infiltration, among the toughest Demetri had done back in his home world, but he had no doubts that he could accomplish this task. Especially with his newfound powers. He decided that the best time to strike would be at night if he wanted to get in undetected. He then skulked in the alleys, avoiding detection as he waited for night to fall.

Cat had reached out without even realising it as Demetri and Nealaphh began to leave, stopping Nealaphh from going. They were planning on leaving her, but what if something happened? What if they never came back and they just left her there? Or something might come into the house and find her there. What if there were still cannibals on the island? Please.. don't leave me alone. I'm scared... please don't leave.. Cat didn't want to speak aloud, so she simply thought what she wanted to say knowing that Nealaphh could hear her anyways.
Demetri left while she had stopped Nealaphh, bidding farewell and stepping out before she could stop him. That combined with the shadowy person's irritation with her made her cling tighter to his arm. She didn't want to go back out... and it would ruin Nealaphh's disguise since he was supposed to have arrested her. She stared down at the slight imprints in her wrist left from the handcuffs as Nealaphh continued speaking, looking up in time to see the glass sculpture. It was pretty and intricate, enchanting to watch. She reached out to touch it nervously, then took it from him as her curiosity grew. I can do that...? How? How does it work? Is it magic? A trick? Some kind of illusion? Or is it some kind of matter manipulation? Light manipulation? It feels solid so it would have to be matter, right? How is it even possible? Cat glanced up to Nealaphh a bit nervously, looking him in the eye purposely for the first time before her gaze returned to the glass. Could you teach me how? Before you go? I'd only get in the way if I went with you because you did arrest me in front of all those people... they would be a bit concerned if they saw me with you agian as a companion instead of a prisoner. Unless, of course, you claimed to be returning me home... I don't see why a soldier would be escorting a commoner 'home' though, a foreign dignitary's child or any high ranking personnel's child would gain an escort, but they wouldn't believe that I could be that after earlier. It is best if I stay here... perhaps you could do something to prevent anyone but you and Demetri from entering the house? That way I won't get in your way while you work. Cat still didn't want him to leave her alone, but he did have more important things to do than to baby sit her. If she was protected inside the house then she wouldn't have to worry about what was outside, just focus on learning what she could like Nealaphh had suggested. Perhaps she could become accustomed enough with summoning things to create a protector.
