Welcome to Community Accolades, your monthly platform to highlight the success of your peers.

Monthly Community Accolades entails nominating and voting on who you think best epitomizes the categories selected for each month. Categories may vary each month.

This is the nomination thread.

Nominate your choices, and after one week, we will move onto a head-to-head vote between the two individuals with the most nominations (unless someone has +5 more nominations than the next guy… that’s a landslide).

For now, all you have to do is read the category, think of someone who best exemplifies it, and explain your reasoning in 2 or 3 sentences. Post that all in this thread. There is no rule against nominating your own characters, and you do not have to nominate for all categories (just those you feel comfortable with).

Winners will become ''Community Stars' until the next vote. They’ll receive a Medal!, a blue user title, and a bonus ‘reward.’

'Best' Pair Story – Which two writers have crafted a story you love?

Friendliest – Who do you think is the nicest person to chat with or hang around with? It can be because they make you laugh, or because they're just the bee's knees

'Best' NPC – What non-player character (can be a site, personal, or story NPC) entertained you the most (for whatever reason)

[Harry Dresden]

Rising Star: Dean Winchester. I've chatted with him a bit, read his first post, read his profile. As long as he can learn from any mistakes he makes, and provided he's inclined to stick around after he learns that we're all mad as hatters, I can see some awesome things coming from the Deanmon.

Best NPC: Pepsiman. Bringing refreshment to the masses, and oaths of bloody vengeance to the mouth of Mickey Mouse, since 2015.

[Ganondorf]

BC: Thaal. The guy came back from his hiatus like a freaking tornado. Loving his current storyline! Thaal is being a bad-ass and I can't really complain about that.

BW: Gildarts. Whether it the frequency or the quality... this is just a no brainer for me.

MH: Dark Link. Proves you don't gotta be staff to be a boss.

RS: I dunno... I don't pay as much attention to the newbies as I should... >.>

PS: Luigi and Ludwig. I love weird pairings and this is about as weird as it gets.

F-liest: Jak Mar. Always has a greeting and a nice thing to say.

NPC: Roland. The guy has been getting the spotlight a lot in the Dunes lately.

Most Helpful – Gilgemesh: Generally around when I need him and when he is, his work is quick and to the point. He is very reliable and trustworthy.


Friendliest – Didn't want to put another staffer on my nomination list, or one that was/is blue named currently. This eliminated a lot of choices but left quite a few to pick from. I mean.. most if not all of the people here on this site are nice as hell and nice to talk to. Sooooo since she called me frosty and has rung that great ol' first impressions bell with me, Claraina gets this spot from me.

I apologize for not filling out the other categories. I rather would want a full view of things before declaring one is the best in any of them.

[Deadpool]

Character - Sasuke - I think his success in Dante's Abyss justifies my nomination. The guy is able to keep Sasuke's canon personality, but still adds his own sugar and spice to the character.

Writer - Alex - Shang Tsung, Proto Man, Karl Jak, any many more characters. Oh yeah, he also RPd with a lot of different characters during DA, which is not a small feat. My main reasons for this nomination are versatility and consistency.

Helpful - Ed Elric - I always see him helping new members the best he can.

Friendliest - Retane - Let's be honest, having him in the Mini-Chat has been awesome.





NPC - Pepsiman - Made huge waves during DA. Also, I submitted him, so I'm biased. Don't like it? Fuck you <3

[Shang Tsung]

Best Character - Sinestro. The manic energy with which the Sandiest Lantern has returned is unparalled, and while I"m not 100% up-to-date with his current arc, I don't see myself being let down at the end.

Best Writer - Shang Tsung... I think more people should read the story Atelos and I wrote. It's okay.

Most Helpful - Sinestro. The volume of feedback he's done is rivaled only by Gildarts. And much like Gild, it's really well thought out and helpful advice. More people can take pages from this guy and the dedication he has to helping other people fine-tune their craft.

Rising Star - Dean.

Best Pair Story - ... abstain <_<

Friendliest - Gildarts. One of the nicest people on the website and a runner-up for 'helpfulest person, fo shizzle.' Also, she's sass-free, which is something I appreciate.

Best NPC - The Rock. To think otherwise just means you're a jabroni. Don't be a jabroni!

‘Best’ Character – Karl Jak

Hoping I can pull this one off, because technically he's a prime, and he's fabulous. Karl is awesome and even his name is unique, proto did a great job writing him and my favorite line is: "This place doesn't need any more blood-stained 'heroes' trying to murder their way to redemption."

Just epic.

‘Best’ Writer – Nealaphh

He's done a great job, I've had an excellent time writing with him and have been thoroughly impressed with what he has brought to the table. You've posted some real stunners.

Most Helpful – Dark Link

He does such a great job helping the site, I really respect him and all the effort he puts in to making it a better place :,)


Rising Star – Dean Winchester

Dean's character should be pretty epic, I see a lot of potential and can't wait to see what route his character will take. (Without Sam?!)

Friendliest- Guu

Ever since the start of the site Guu has made me feel welcome and at home here. This month has been especially nice as we have collaborated together with great accomplishment. #'brosia

Keep up the smiles Guu, they mean more than you know.


'Best' NPC – Princess Sunshine (Guu)

One thread in Camelot, but it was so well written and dramatic I just really enjoyed it. Epicness and first person! Great read and very intriguing! She will definitely make for a good rival, and I really liked the way you wrote her.

Best Writer - Retane, dude surprised the hell out of me in out fight. Mad respect.

Rising Star -

Best Duo Story - Mind Games written by Nealaphh and Gildarts. Fun and awesome story revolving around two sweet NPCs.

Friendliest - Guu, she da bomb nuff said.

Best NPC - I mean, I may be biased but fuck it. The Rock, he was so much fun to write and goddamned he's awesome.

Character - Honestly, Dr. McNinja still takes this one for me.

‘Best’ Writer – Gildarts is a master of pacing and knowing when to hold back and when to let loose.

Most Helpful – Protoman takes this one for me this month.

Rising Star - Hard choice between Ludwig and Athena, but I'm gonna have to go with Athena is for no other reason than raw enthusiasm.

'Best' Pair Story – Unabashedly nominating Mind Games by Gildarts and Myself. If you doubt this, go read it.

Friendliest – Honestly? Raina.

'Best' NPC – Behemoth is awesome to write with, and I had a blast when I jumped into his shoes.
