Donate to Adam
When you donate, please PM me with the name you donated under and your choice of reward. Each reward is once only. You don't get to change your name color infinitely for donating once.
Donations - $8 or more
All donators of over this amount receive a gold name to mark them as donators on BOTH ACCOUNTS, which gives you double the inbox limit - 50 to 100. Everyone gets this, in addition to your choice of ONE of following Donator perks (per 8$):
-Unlock your second character instantly.
-Lower the requirements for unlocking your third OR fourth character by one level.
-Change the name/description/background/banner of the Whateververse for one fortnight (2 weeks) – cannot be lewd
-Change my avatar/user title to whatever you wish (must be kept for at least a week, nothing too lewd). Other members or staff may also agree to do this in the name of good sport!
-Change one of your character's name colors to any color (within reason, it's gotta show up on the forum background and can't be too close to mods/admin (blues). Pick 6 digit code from here).
-Change the name of a Discord channel for one fortnight (2 weeks) -- cannot be lewd
-Double donate and you can unlock three months of your own semi-private 'Safe Space' on the discord. Provide staff a list, and you can have a little chat channel to yourself (semi-private because Discord admins will still be watching). There is a limit to 3 of these at once (Current: Yu Kanda, Jak Mar, ___)
-Reserve a pre-existing character as an NPC or third character. A writer can only reserve two character this way at any given time. If you just want a character for your personal use, not as a storyline boss or whatever, you can reserve them even if they're outside of your character's canon. Normal NPC usage rules apply, someone might be able to join as the character later.
-Get around the switch limit if you just need to switch again.
-Get a 40x25 smilie added to the shoutbox -- must be appropriate, must be less than 1.0 kbs -- I promise to keep it for at least 6 months
-Design a custom Consumable to be featured in the item shop for at least 6 months (this does not give you a copy of the Item, you'd still need to buy it -- we don't blatantly give free OM for donations =p).
"Super" Donators
There are two people who would be dubbed 'super' or 'prime' donators. The individual who has donated the most money to the website, and the one who has made the most donations (all donations must meet the perk minimum to count here). Monthly donations count as well.

Hey, Alex, how will you spend donations?
First and foremost, donations go towards paying our hosting and domain costs - about 100 dollars per year under our current plan. The domain is paid annually in August, and the web hosting is paid twice a year (in February and August). This is all under our current host.
My goal is to ‘bank’ at least two years of server costs under our current plan. Once I have said money squirreled away, my plan is to start generating wish lists for the Omniverse, which I’ll call a ‘war chest.’ This will include stuff like migrating to a new server, particularly looking at GoDaddy, which will provide us with more stability (less random error messages on load up) and give us the option to have SSL. We could also invest more in advertisement campaigns on social media platforms like Facebook through War Chest funds.
A small percentage of your kind donation (about 15%) will also go toward my own life expenses (more of a "thanks for your time" kind of thing) or paying others for services rendered to the Omniverse). All donations are hugely appreciated. There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes, and the hardest stuff is usually the technical stuff like actual forum upgrades, which does take a huge amount of my time. We here fully believe in the "pay what you want/can" philosophy, and this site will be around even if people stop donating entirely.
